The Guardian for this meeting was Wester Kiranov. The comments are by Wester Kiranov.

There was a Dutch majority (Me, Pema and Nymf vs. Yakuzza) in this session. We had a light bilingual conversation on royalty and etymology, among others.

    Pema Pera: hoi Wester!
Pema Pera: sorry, toch nog wat verlaat
    Wester Kiranov: hoi pema
    Wester Kiranov: waarmee?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: good morning wester
    Wester Kiranov: good morning yaku
    Wester Kiranov: wb pema
    Yakuzza Lethecus: good morning pema
Pema Pera: Hi Wester and hi Yakuzza!
Yakuzza Lethecus: very early morning in ur case i guess or ur stilll in jp ?
Pema Pera: it's almost dinner time here for me in Kyoto, Japan :-)
Pema Pera: and my internet connection is quite unstable; just managed to get back in again
Yakuzza Lethecus: and i thought japan is great with all technologies :)
Pema Pera: well, yes, great enough to allow me to get into internet almost anywhere . . . but not necessarily reliably with something that requires as much bandwidth as SL -- just email is generally fine
Pema Pera: is there a topic you'd like to talk about today, Yakuzza?
Yakuzza Lethecus: no, i was hoping to find some distraction here, i have 2 weeks vacation and didn´t drive anywhere so far :)
Pema Pera: oh, I'm happy to try to provide distraction :-)
Pema Pera: I can talk about the Big Bang or black holes or stuff like that
    --BELL--
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey nymf
    Wester Kiranov: hi nymf
    Pema Pera: hi Nymf!
Nymf Hathaway: Hello everyone (just in for a few minutes ;( )
Wester Kiranov: well if you want distraction...
    Wester Kiranov: onigokko
Yakuzza Lethecus feels so surrounded my dutch peoply :)
    Nymf Hathaway: :))))
    Pema Pera: :--)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: stop
Nymf Hathaway: always lovely to see people happy :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hihi :)
Pema Pera: yes: Wow, an absolute majority of Dutch avatars
    Pema Pera: 3 to 1
Wester Kiranov: it's nice not to be the only one wearing it
Nymf Hathaway: We rule Pema :)
    Wester Kiranov: oranje boven ;-)
    Pema Pera: hahaha
Nymf Hathaway: hahahaha ja leuk :)
    Pema Pera: leve de koningin
Pema Pera: kun je nu nog even zeggen
    Pema Pera: niet lang meer
Nymf Hathaway: oh thanks Yakuzza but I have one... just wasn't fast enough :)
    Wester Kiranov: dacht ik ook
Nymf Hathaway: Maxima is een goede tweede :)
    Pema Pera: :-)
Pema Pera: we're talking about the Dutch monarchy, Yak
Pema Pera: starting with the idea of ruling (the world, or some such thing)
Yakuzza Lethecus: yeah, i picked that up :)
Wester Kiranov: arme yaku ... shall we go back to english? like good dutchies? steenkolenengels ;)
    Nymf Hathaway: hahahhaha Wester
Yakuzza Lethecus: i can understand most written dutch, but i wouldn´t be able to write it
    Pema Pera: stone coals English
    Nymf Hathaway: Thats something I didn't hear for a while...steenkolen engels :)
Pema Pera: now that is hard to understand!
Pema Pera: there should be a separate wikipedia language voor steenkolenengels
    Nymf Hathaway: :)))
Wester Kiranov: there is a book in the netherlands all filled with bad english people actually use
Wester Kiranov: it's called i always get my sin
Pema Pera: you mean it !
Nymf Hathaway: hahhaha why isn't that a surprise :)
    Pema Pera: (je meent het)
Pema Pera: but those jokes straddling two languages require a pretty good knowledge of both in order to enjoy it
Nymf Hathaway: Oh I missed this but already need to log off :( wishing all of you a goodnight or beautiful day and till soon :)
Wester Kiranov: see you round soon then
    Pema Pera: bye Nymf!
    Nymf Hathaway: Bye bye
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye nymf
Pema Pera: Actually, there is a book by a Scotsman who lived in Holland a hundred years ago
    Wester Kiranov: bye
    Wester Kiranov: (to nymf)
Pema Pera: who wrote about such Dutch English topics
Pema Pera: like when he sent a little present to his aunt in Scotland
Pema Pera: and the Dutch post office clerk wrote underneath the name of hi aunt:
    Pema Pera: WORTHLESS MONSTER
    Pema Pera: monster zonder waarde
Wester Kiranov: there is a blog about "dunglish"
    Wester Kiranov: :D
    Pema Pera: monster being "sample"
Pema Pera: not worth paying import tax about
Wester Kiranov: i wonder if those two words monster are related, and if so, how
    Pema Pera: hmmm, good question
    Wester Kiranov: no, they're not
Pema Pera: how did you figure that out?
Wester Kiranov: one comes from monstre, the other from monstrum
Wester Kiranov: i have an etymological dictonary
Wester Kiranov: got it as a birthday present one time
    Pema Pera: oh, that's great!
Pema Pera: I love ethymology -- the hidden wisdom built into a language
Wester Kiranov: it often doesn't have what i'm looking for but sometimes it does
Yakuzza Lethecus: are there good online dictionary´s on etymologie ?
Wester Kiranov: i don't know. maybe the onze taal site has a link
The dictionary I have does have an online version, but it's paid. And here is Onze Taal (in Dutch, of course).
Yakuzza Lethecus: for example i stopped using the ,,duden" since everything is just 1 click away
    Pema Pera: yes
Yakuzza Lethecus: and even the entire wikipedia can be downloaded on a single ipod touch
Yakuzza Lethecus: it´s a crazy world today
    --BELL--
Pema Pera: how large is the whole wikipedia, roughly?
Yakuzza Lethecus: german only text about 1,5 gb
Pema Pera: I'll have to get moving.
Pema Pera: Good seeing you both!
Wester Kiranov: see you later pema. bye
    Yakuzza Lethecus: guten hunger pema
    Pema Pera: bye for now
Yakuzza Lethecus: bon appetite or what ever :)
Pema Pera: haha, recht herzlichen dank, Yakuzza!
Pema Pera: eet smakelijk, sagen wir
Pema Pera: las es dir schmecken
    Pema Pera: esse schmecklich?
    Pema Pera: steenkolenduits
    Yakuzza Lethecus: lol :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: that sounds close to schrecklich
    Pema Pera: hahaha
Yakuzza Lethecus: ok, cya both around :)
    Wester Kiranov: eat tastily then
Pema Pera: the people in the coffeeshop where I am sitting are wondering why this foreigner is laughing suddenly out loud . . . .
Pema Pera: in this so quiet space . . . .
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
Pema Pera: well, I'll close my computer, so they don't have to fear for a "schrecklich" repeat!
Wester Kiranov: I'll have to go too. bye
Pema Pera: bye Yak and West!
Yakuzza Lethecus: now i just have to find somebody who speaks spanish :P
