The Guardian for this meeting was Eliza Madrigal. The comments are by Eliza Madrigal, who was joined by Archmage and later, Storm. :)

At first, we had a new visitor who wore wings of smoke. I wasn't exactly sure whether permission was given to post his chat...

    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Arch :)
    Archmage Atlantis: Hello Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi ____
    : hi
Eliza Madrigal: Welcome to PlayasBeing :)
    : kool
Eliza Madrigal: Those are amazing wings
    : thx
    : would u like a pair
Eliza Madrigal: Let me give you a note about our group here, but first I'd like to ask if you mind being recorded, as we log our talks :)
Archmage Atlantis: My partner creates wings... my I take a phot to show?
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, really? Hard not to accept... they are really neat :)
    : k
Eliza Madrigal: One of our guardians creates wonderful wings, too. I'll give you a lm while I give you a PaB note :) One moment
    : k
Eliza Madrigal: I hope that is the current address for Astral Blossom :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh, thanks Arch
Archmage Atlantis: Fael is my partner

Arch takes a nice picture, but as I am conflicted about using our visitor's name, his picture seems iffy too. I err on the side of not posting.

Eliza Madrigal: Great picture... interesting angle :)
Archmage Atlantis: if it is not, I will ask him/her
Eliza Madrigal: Ah :) I wonder if he poofed to visit the shop
Eliza Madrigal: Anyway, what's on your mind today Arch?
Archmage Atlantis: real life, if you wish an honest answer elize
Eliza Madrigal: :) Yes, I do prefer honest answers
    Archmage Atlantis: most do not
Archmage Atlantis: my reality is not the reality others wish to live in
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, so dealing with tough things today... sorry to hear it
Eliza Madrigal: Don't you think there are many realities going on at once? So tough things, and easy things, and so-so.... all in the same place?

Arch makes a clarification and we have what I would call a light and friendly debate ...

Archmage Atlantis: dealing with tough thhings.....there should be "glad to hear it" no "sorry to hear it"
Eliza Madrigal: Maybe. You need to hear the spirit behind the words, Arch :)
    Archmage Atlantis: I did
Archmage Atlantis: I would not have said that if I did not think I heard it
Eliza Madrigal: You really think 'glad to hear it' is a good response to someone going through/focused on tough things?
    Eliza Madrigal: a caring response?
    --BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: I beleive it is an honest response for me....maybe not a helpful response for them
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, I see :)
Archmage Atlantis: We did start with the topic of honesty
Eliza Madrigal: Yes, but is honesty hearing what you think people should say? Or speaking from your own place of sincerity?

Eliza Madrigal: Honestly, I couldn't say I was glad to hear you are going through tough things...
Eliza Madrigal: Maybe there are levels of honesty we can expect in levels of friendship and understanding/knowing
Archmage Atlantis: My reality is my own, as is yours...I cannot see through anothers eyes
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Archmage Atlantis: Poetry that differs, not withstanding

:) We find a place of agreement ...

Eliza Madrigal: Well, maybe that's a reason to focus more on the space between... rather than struggling to see from another's view exactly....
    Eliza Madrigal: trust that space
Archmage Atlantis: That is an interesting thought, seems to have truth in it
Eliza Madrigal: I find comfort and rest in it somehow... we can't depend on our own faculties at times... to read things correctly or cover all the bases :)
Archmage Atlantis: big smile - yes not even our own abilities/facilities - especially as they change with esperience and the changes in the corporeal body
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Archmage Atlantis: (nor my spelling or typing I might add)
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal: Sometimes we sense we can't depend/trust on our mere selves, so we then depend on structures... that won't do either it seems ...

Eliza Madrigal: I wonder about collective shifts in the world, after going through periods of economic insecurity and disillusionment, for instance
Archmage Atlantis: That is how we created the spiritual...as something to depend on....yet Siddhartha said
    --BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: One is ones own refuge, who else can be ones refuge
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, spiritual structures are still structures ...?
    Archmage Atlantis: imho
    Eliza Madrigal nods

    A Story...

Archmage Atlantis: I will tell you a story if you are interested, it is from my own rl
Eliza Madrigal: Yes, sure. I'd like that
    Archmage Atlantis: ok
Archmage Atlantis: In january of 2009 my relationship of 16 years was ending, ....as my partner did not want me to have fish as pets, I aquired an aquarium
    Archmage Atlantis: with 4 koi
Archmage Atlantis: knowing that I did not know how to care for them, I expected them not to live
Archmage Atlantis: Eventually I expected to replace them with butterfly koi
    Archmage Atlantis: 2 did die
Archmage Atlantis: And were replaced with butterfly koi
Archmage Atlantis: We lost our home and my car to the banks
    Archmage Atlantis: Our relationship ended
Archmage Atlantis: @ of the original koi still live
    Archmage Atlantis: @ = 2
    Eliza Madrigal: hm
Archmage Atlantis: In a tank on a rented house
    Eliza Madrigal: Resilient
Archmage Atlantis: the original 2 were about 2 inhces long
Archmage Atlantis: Now both are about a foot long
Archmage Atlantis: They continue to fight on
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Archmage Atlantis: End of story

Eliza Madrigal: Thanks for sharing that, it's strangely inspiring...
Eliza Madrigal: I mean strangely in that there is so much loss, yet the imagery of the two fish swimming along
Archmage Atlantis: How can I leave this world, if there is no one to carry on
Eliza Madrigal: and you appreciate the fish as a kind of symbol, Arch? to take heart, as it were?
Archmage Atlantis: They are like my bengal cat, if I do not care for them, I am aware of that.....my cat, Nimbus, climbs on my chest and demands care
Archmage Atlantis: If I am not dead, how can I deny him
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Storm arrives with a unique perspective...

    Eliza Madrigal: Hey Storm!
Storm Nordwind: Hi guys. Sorry to be so late
Archmage Atlantis: Blessings to you, Storm :)
    --BELL--
    Storm Nordwind bows
Eliza Madrigal: No worries, Storm :) Arch and I were talking about instability ...
Eliza Madrigal: Arch, I just gave Storm a note with your koi story :)
Archmage Atlantis: Actually, I was taalking about finding stability in instability
Eliza Madrigal: yes, nice way of putting that :)
Storm Nordwind: That is a great comment Arch!
Storm Nordwind: And it describes my own life perfectly
Eliza Madrigal: I think I would say the same... though sometimes knowing/trusting hides behind the clouds

Storm Nordwind: For me, stability as I have very recently found myself in, is a rare thing - quite atypical and rather a luxury
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Storm Nordwind: I therefore value it, possibly more than most people, but am ready to let it pass at any moment
Archmage Atlantis: It can be kept, but to use outdated metaphors, only in one's heart
Eliza Madrigal: I wonder where the line is between being 'ready to let it pass at any moment', and 'giving it away before it gets here'...
Storm Nordwind: The line for me is simply not taking ownership of it in the first place. Nothing to give away!
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Eliza Madrigal: resting in openness
Archmage Atlantis: To run away or to believe in something that cannot be proved *g*

    The luxuries of civilization...

Eliza Madrigal: whenever I'm sure I know what that means, I find myself challenged... guess that's the dance
Archmage Atlantis: poetry, dance, music and storytelling......it makes us human and worthwhile
Eliza Madrigal: expressions of celebration... even the 'darker' forms
Storm Nordwind: Such a delicious luxury to have created the 'civilization' that gives us the time and space for those things
    Eliza Madrigal: hm... true Storm...
Archmage Atlantis: Yes, civilization has been recreated many times....it is always a challenge
Eliza Madrigal: I was thinking yesterday, though, about the deep gospel choruses that came out of so much restriction and loss....
Eliza Madrigal: like a salve... singing out of sorrows
Archmage Atlantis: Do you know of Odeta's singing Eliza
Archmage Atlantis: She is recorded but gone now
Eliza Madrigal: hm, am not sure Arch
Storm Nordwind: Their restriction and loss was due to an enslaving civilization.
    Eliza Madrigal nods...
Storm Nordwind: So the structure was already there
Storm Nordwind: But a 100,000 years ago, did our ancestors have the time and space for similar forms of expression I wonder?
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: yes I guess the time and space David had while shepherding sheep is a good example too....
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, yes... they were survival minded
Archmage Atlantis: Yes I beleive we would not be here if they did not, Storm
Archmage Atlantis: They dreamed a future
Storm Nordwind: very interesting point Arch! :)
Archmage Atlantis: It is our turn to dream the next one
    Storm Nordwind beams
    Eliza Madrigal: :)))
Eliza Madrigal: Ohhh, so that's what we're doing... :)
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
    Eliza Madrigal smiles

We fall quiet, which brings my thoughts to rest on the bags of donations waiting in the garage. As I write this they have moved as far as the front door, but I'm on my way! :D

Eliza Madrigal: I'd better get going... have some things to finish giving away today
Archmage Atlantis: It is past the hour and I must restart the computer as the virus software tells me I must *g*
    Storm Nordwind: yes me too!
Eliza Madrigal: All that decluttering last month, but much is still in my garage :)

    Appreciating parting greetings...

Archmage Atlantis: Blessings to both of you
Storm Nordwind knows the feeling Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: Blessings Arch, and Storm :) Thank you for this morning
    Storm Nordwind: Namaste
