The Guardian for this meeting was Pema Pera. The comments are by Pema Pera.

Bleu Oleander: how is the retreat going?
Pema Pera: oh, it went fine!
    Bleu Oleander: over now?
Pema Pera: actually, everybody left this morning
Pema Pera: we really had a great time
Bleu Oleander: sounded like a wonderful trip
    Pema Pera: oh yes!
    Bleu Oleander: that's great
Bleu Oleander: what was the highlight?
I didn't really get a chance to point out one particular highlight :-)
Pema Pera: it was a very intense retreat
Pema Pera: partly because there were so few people
Pema Pera: it was between 4 and 5, with Genesis present for most but not all the time
Bleu Oleander: too bad Wol and Gaya couldn't come
Pema Pera: and also Stim being there for most but not all the time
Bleu Oleander: it was nice to see Gen the other day
Pema Pera: yes, we all missed Wol and Gaya, and talked about them every day!
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
Pema Pera: like "Gaya would have really liked this"
Pema Pera: and "wow, if only Wol could see that"
This important part of the retreat did strike me as a good title for the session.
    Bleu Oleander: aw
Pema Pera: but as for intensity, if a group of five people does everything together, all meals and most of the time between, you really feel like becoming family
Bleu Oleander: oh yes, i can imagine
Bleu Oleander: we feel that way on some of our NYC trips
    Pema Pera: yes!
Pema Pera: When will your next trip be
    Bleu Oleander: May 5-7
Bleu Oleander: so coming right up
Pema Pera: where will you go?
Bleu Oleander: we will be two days in NYC and one day in Princeton
Pema Pera: pity I can't be there
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
    Pema Pera: next time!
Bleu Oleander: we have a really nice group
I reminisced about Bleu's visit to Princeton, where we first met.
Pema Pera: yes, I well remember our first meeting, one and a half year ago
Bleu Oleander: we come a long way since then!
Pema Pera: when by a strange stroke of luck, both Adams and Fael were visiting me!
Pema Pera: Fael had come even further, from Finland
Bleu Oleander: yes, how fun for us
Pema Pera: and Adams from the city next door
    Pema Pera: yes
    Pema Pera: Hi Dao!
    Bleu Oleander: hi Dao
Pema Pera: How nice to meet you here in Second Life
Pema Pera: (I am Piet in RL)
I think this is the first time I met Dao in PaB; we met in RL already 14 years ago.
Dao Yheng: Hi Pema, Hi Bleu!
Pema Pera: I had heard that you are part of the WoK meetings these days
    TH Ordinary: hi all!
    Pema Pera: hi TH !
Dao Yheng: yes, I've been missing Eliza and Gaya since we've been on break for the PaB retreat
    Dao Yheng: :)
    Dao Yheng: Hi TH
Pema Pera: unfortunately, because of the volcano with the long name Gaya was not able to come here :(
Pema Pera: nor could Wol come
    Dao Yheng: yes, sad
TH Ordinary: i heard from someone that the sf retreat went well!
Dao Yheng: I know Gaya was very disappointed
Pema Pera: by the way, unfortunately I have to go now, much as I would like to stay
Pema Pera: it is 7:15 here in San Francisco
Bleu Oleander: well it was nice to see you Pema
Pema Pera: and I have to be off to dinner . . . .
Dao Yheng: Good evening then, Pema!
Pema Pera: I did claim the log, so I will post it
Bleu Oleander: have a nice dinner
    TH Ordinary: bye piet
Since I left at this point, I will leave the rest of the log uncommented.
    --BELL--
Bleu Oleander: Dao, where are you from?
Dao Yheng: I usually join the Ways of Knowing group -- or do you mean in RL?
Bleu Oleander: oh yes, in rl
Dao Yheng: I'm in the Bronx right now, just got back from a great springtime hike in a nearby park :)
    Bleu Oleander: oh nice
Bleu Oleander: we're going to be visiting NYC in a few days
Dao Yheng: contrast of city and trees quite strong in my mind right now
    Bleu Oleander: I can imagine
TH Ordinary: what is the weather in nyc?
Dao Yheng: for fun or work?
Dao Yheng: actually, it's quite ideal right now
Dao Yheng: cool, sunny, very lovely
Bleu Oleander: we are bringing members of our group from Phoenix to NYC .... so work and fun
Dao Yheng: lots of new green leaves keeping everyting fresh
    Bleu Oleander: sounds lovely
Dao Yheng: ah, and what kind of group?
TH Ordinary: a beautiful time of year
Bleu Oleander: we, TH and I, direct an arts and cultural salon group
    Dao Yheng: oh, fun!
Bleu Oleander: we are based in Phoenix, but come to NYC once a year
Dao Yheng: it's funny, downstairs right now there is a salon/art slam thingy underway
    Bleu Oleander: oh how interesting
    TH Ordinary: what's that?
    Bleu Oleander: several artists?
    Dao Yheng: that's right
Dao Yheng: You could say, it's a super-regional event -- several Bronx artists and former bronx artists
Bleu Oleander: ah i see .... are you interested in going?
Dao Yheng: visual art and performance art, a little bit of video installation
    Bleu Oleander: sounds fun
Dao Yheng: I usually attend, but I see a lot of them, and not quite ready to face the crowds tonight :)
    Bleu Oleander: understand
Bleu Oleander: do you like contemporary art?
Dao Yheng: what will you see when you're in NYC?
Bleu Oleander: we set up meetings with interesting people
Dao Yheng: oh great -- so possibly a studio tour involved as well?
Bleu Oleander: a neuroscientist, an art historian, a historian, an artist/environmentalist
Bleu Oleander: no studio tours this trip
Dao Yheng: ah, so a complete cultural tour then!
Bleu Oleander: and a paleontologist (sp?)
Bleu Oleander: yes, we like to mix it up
Dao Yheng: Is there a particular theme, or is it as strikes your interest as a group?
    Bleu Oleander: no real theme
Bleu Oleander: just following our interests
Dao Yheng: And so, what would you say brings you together?
    Bleu Oleander: curiosity
TH Ordinary: there are currents of ideas that mix with each of the people we meet
    Bleu Oleander: http://www.spiritofthesenses.org
Bleu Oleander: we also do salons in SL
Bleu Oleander: Pema talked us into coming to SL
Bleu Oleander: we met him on a past trip
Dao Yheng: Hmm, and how has SL supported your group?
Bleu Oleander: pretty well for our first year
    --BELL--
Bleu Oleander: it's a mix of rl and sl people
Bleu Oleander: it's a challenge to get people to come in to sl
Dao Yheng: oh it is -- I was imagining a RL life group meeting in SL
Bleu Oleander: we've made a lot of friends in sl
Bleu Oleander: so have mixed them in with our group
Bleu Oleander: what are your interests in sl?
Dao Yheng: Honestly, it's not something I would have chosen for myself
TH Ordinary: what do you mean?
Dao Yheng: actually, in the very early days of the internet, I worked on a couple virtual chat rooms, and found them lacking
Dao Yheng: but I've always studied with my meditation teacher remotely, and have found some of the contacts formed in SL very meaningful in providing a sense of sangha
Dao Yheng: that was actually a surprise to me!
Bleu Oleander: yes, i can imagine it was
Bleu Oleander: it was nice talking with you tonight
Bleu Oleander: hope to see you again
Dao Yheng: that would be nice
Bleu Oleander: need to go .... take care
Dao Yheng: thanks for the chat!
TH Ordinary: have a great evening
    Bleu Oleander: bye
    Dao Yheng: you too!
