The Guardian for this meeting was Eos Amaterasu. The comments are by Eos Amaterasu.

    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Eden
    Eden Haiku: Good evening Eos
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Pema
Pema Pera: Hi Eos and Eden!
Eden Haiku: There is a huge purple butterfly floating on the horizon. Good evening Pema.

Pema notices that he may be hit with the missing-chat-lines problem.

Pema Pera: Hmm, I just got a message "[19:02] Pema Pera's PaB Listener: No longer recording. Have a nice day. :)"
    Eden Haiku: oh oh...
Pema Pera: so perhaps you could check, Eos, whether my lines will be missing in the chat log . . .
    Eos Amaterasu: Ok....
Eos Amaterasu: your lines are vanishing?
Pema Pera: sorry to cause extra work, no idea how that happened
    Pema Pera: no, not now
Pema Pera: but if it is really true that my listener conked out, the lines won't appear in the automated chat log
Pema Pera: I remember you reporting that problem a while ago
Eos Amaterasu: Yes, I've seen that happen before
Pema Pera: we've seen it several times yes
Eos Amaterasu: We have alts listening for us for the benefit of the log
Pema Pera: it's a rather complex process: each individual gets its own listener, and then the recordings are automagically woven together to produce the final chat log
    Eos Amaterasu: a hack
Pema Pera: anyway, sorry to drop in with tech talk :-)

    The net of Being

Eos Amaterasu: How has Being been with you, Eden?
    Eden Haiku: Good , thanks.
Eden Haiku: have been playing with landscaping my SL courtyard..
Eos Amaterasu: ah.... will have to visit your courtyard
Eden Haiku: Sure ;-) Now, there are poppies everywhere,,,
Eden Haiku: Tricky to move linked objects...
    Eos Amaterasu: one big net
    Eden Haiku: Yes :)

    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Paradise!
    Pema Pera: Hi Paradise!
Paradise Tennant: hiya eos .. pema eden :)
    Eden Haiku: Good evening Paradise,

Pema is still concerned about his listener

Pema Pera: (actually, come to think of it, let me log out and in again, that perhaps we restart my PaB listener -- saving you time, Eos; brb)
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)

    A 90-seconds is coming up

Eos Amaterasu: Any suggestions for how to be in the upcoming 90 secs?
Paradise Tennant: smiles something a theme from the retreat perhaps ?
Eden Haiku: Be happy, don't worry?
Eos Amaterasu: The urban retreat stretched that question over 5 days
    Paradise Tennant: lol perfect
Pema Pera: (grrr, I got another "[19:11] Pema Pera's PaB Listener: No longer recording. Have a nice day. :)" AFTER I got in)
Pema Pera: (let's see what will happen in the log)
    Eden Haiku: Strange,,,
    Pema Pera: hehehe, at eos
    Eos Amaterasu: It's like illness
Eden Haiku: PaB listener has been sick?
Pema Pera: perhaps I let go of the past during the retreat . . . no longer recording . . . .

Eos Amaterasu: How to be in the 90 secs is micro of how to be in the 90 years, n'est-ce pas?
    Eden Haiku: ;)
Pema Pera: sorry to interrupt your question, Eos
Pema Pera: but I like be happy, don't worry :-)
Pema Pera: or just Be, don't worry
Eos Amaterasu: there used to be huge billboards in San Francisco, with pictures of Meher Baba, saying "don't worry, be happy"
    Eos Amaterasu: okay, that's it!
Eden Haiku: Yes, there was a song too I believe..
    Eos Amaterasu: Bobby McFarland

    --BELL--

Pema Pera: Yes, http://www.lyricsondemand.com/onehitwonders/dontworrybehappylyrics.html (Bobby McFerrin)
Pema Pera: saw him live a few years ago, very close to our apartment in fact, on Broadway
Pema Pera: he's a great performer, looks like someone you'd like to be friends with too, very gentle
Eden Haiku: The expression is a "meme" isn'it?
    Eos Amaterasu: mime
    Eos Amaterasu: actually vocal vocalist
    Eos Amaterasu: (voice only)
    Eos Amaterasu: (no external instrument)

But Eos had mistook the context of "meme"...

Eden Haiku: No, a 'meme" a cultural unit that replicates itself over and over...Just learnt about it after seeing the word all over the place.
Eos Amaterasu: My company is "Memer Technologies"
Eden Haiku: Nice voice, very mellow...
    Eos Amaterasu: quite rightly
    Eos Amaterasu: meme-er / mem-er / me-mer
    Paradise Tennant: smiles :)
Pema Pera: yes, a meme indeed -- I remember when the song just had come out, twenty plus years ago, people singing it in the subway . . . .
Eden Haiku: Oh, yes, I remember seeing this... Memer. :-)
Eos Amaterasu: we meme in projecting out our perceptions and our language
Eden Haiku: A time travel device :-)
Eos Amaterasu: goes through various hosts
Eden Haiku: Eos, did you hear about Aura recognition?
Eden Haiku: Instaed of Augmented reality...
Eos Amaterasu: sometimes via scratches on skin or stone or vellum

    Eos Amaterasu listens
Eden Haiku: Nice video of a conference. Fascinating. Looking it up...
    Eden Haiku: http://bit.ly/GabrielShalom
Eden Haiku: It is about 30 minutes long but it is really interesting.

Eos Amaterasu: memeing is how we share playing as being,...?
Eden Haiku: We mirror each other and replicate each other a lot...
Paradise Tennant: see it in body language
Eos Amaterasu: without you I am nada
    Pema Pera: :)
Pema Pera: lateral meme transfer ?
    Pema Pera: viral spreading . . .
    Eden Haiku: also transversal...
Eos Amaterasu: that's one of the questions, how to stay open with others, with ourselves in others, with them in us
Eos Amaterasu: how to meet others _in_ play as being
Eden Haiku: And respect our boundaries, yes, big question!
    Eos Amaterasu: boundaries enable language?
Eos Amaterasu: like consonants around vowels?
    Eos Amaterasu: (((Eden)))
    Eden Haiku: ah, yes...

Eos Amaterasu: In meeting someone, can we start at the end?
Pema Pera: very nice suggestion, to explore that approach!
Eden Haiku: Klinkers and medeklinkers isn',it Pema?

    --BELL--

Pema Pera very surprised to read his mother's tongue all of a sudden . . . .
Paradise Tennant: smiles and says adieu .. sorry cannot keep my peepers open tonight .. till we meme later :)
    Eos Amaterasu: tra la!
Pema Pera: . aah, ooh, vowels pure when wrapped up in consonants hidden purity
Eden Haiku: Eos talking about consonants and vowels, the sonorous Dutch words came back to mind...
Eden Haiku: I know how to say Please, thank you, , vowel, consonant and doorzunkamer and that's it!
    Pema Pera: hahaha

Eden Haiku: languages are windows in the soul of Being.
Eos Amaterasu: how we wrap our tongue around it
Pema Pera: they set tone and taste and atmosphere
Pema Pera: . the lure of the pure/ what to hide and what to seek/ vowels all wrapped up

Eden Haiku: In meeeting someone, can we start at the end?
Eos Amaterasu: if we start at their end, and they at our end, then we have met beyond either of us
Pema Pera: beyond their separateness . . . . permeable boundaries
Eden Haiku: Sounds like trouble :)
    Pema Pera: :-)
Pema Pera: In your life expect some trouble But when you worry You make it double Don't worry, be happy......
    Eos Amaterasu: edge of chaos
    Pema Pera: (from the song)
    Eden Haiku: laughs
    Pema Pera: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-diB65scQU&a=GlBj28mY11g&playnext_from=ML
Eos Amaterasu: Double Trouble (Stevie Ray Vaughn)
Pema Pera: starting at the end can imply not seeing others as separate beings, or needy creatures . . . . .
Pema Pera: but as ways that Being is expressing Itself
Pema Pera: (though that may sound too abstract -- it can be very real)
Eden Haiku: I like his pipe and glasses and suit...;)
    Pema Pera: :)
Eden Haiku: Being expressin himself like this black guy with the mellow voice in white tuxedo...
    Pema Pera: (^_^)

    --BELL--

    Sadness

Eos Amaterasu: don't worry being sad
Eos Amaterasu: don't worry being happy
    Eos Amaterasu: sun faced
    Eos Amaterasu: moon faced
Pema Pera: the beauty of sadness -- another topic we talked about in the retreat
Pema Pera: after listening to a band playing blues in a bar

    Bliss

Eden Haiku: But closer to Being there is bliss I would think ?
Pema Pera: no, Being allows everything
Pema Pera: nothing is closer to Being than anything else
Pema Pera: as I understand Being

    Totality

    Eden Haiku: Fractals of Being?
Eos Amaterasu: happy & sad as fractals of the one taste of being
Pema Pera: each appearance of anything at all is fully Being, not just a part of Being (again, as I understand it :-)
Pema Pera: totality and fractality both . . .
Eden Haiku: Somehow when I feel bliss, I find it more natural than somber states...
Eos Amaterasu: Hmm, in some countries the music is permeated with sadness
Eos Amaterasu: or with clarity of both sadness and happiness, and the struggle and pain from one to the other
Pema Pera: being trapped in somber states is bad, but so is being trapped in bliss . . . .
Pema Pera: and without trapping, both can have their own kind of joy
Eden Haiku: During an osteapathy treatment this afternnon, I could feel the 'wave' within my whole body and it felt closer to the primordial breathing, to well being.
Pema Pera: how nice, even just trying to imagine it!
Eos Amaterasu: wave/particle nature of Being being us?
Pema Pera: Being allowing us to be . . .

Eos Amaterasu: slow movements of Mozart piano concertos explore the clear being of sadness
Eos Amaterasu: Mozart has a quality of "coming from the end"
Eden Haiku: It was snowing on the cherry blossoms today. Beautiful and sad.
Eos Amaterasu: and having great care for and unsticky but intense empathy
    Pema Pera: beautiful image, Eden

    --BELL--

Pema Pera: he was known to experience a whole piece of music "all at once" in a timeless way (about Mozart)
    Eos Amaterasu:

    "More than the cherry blossoms,
Inviting a wind to blow them away,
I am wondering what to do,

    With the remaining springtime."

    Eos Amaterasu: 「風さそふ花よりもなほ我はまた春の名残をいかにとやせん」
Pema Pera: hello and goodbye, Steve!
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello goodbye

Eos Amaterasu: Lord Asano, about to commit sepuku
Pema Pera marveling at Eos' Japanese :)
    Eos Amaterasu: (wikipedia)
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Eden Haiku: I'm impressed by your Japanese Eos. Bye Pema
    Eos Amaterasu: Bye Pema
Pema Pera: bye Eos, Eden, Steve!
Eos Amaterasu: No, I don't know Japanese

Eos Amaterasu: Time for this blossom to drop to bed....
stevenaia Michinaga: did I miss a lovely evening of poetry?
Eden Haiku: Hi Steve and goodbye. I'm going to listen to some Mozart before going to sleep. Thank you for this beautiful session Eos :-)
    stevenaia Michinaga: night all
    Eos Amaterasu: good night
