    Dica Petras: jeje ok
Lia Rikugun: we take every 15 minutes 9 seconds of our time to stop a little and lean back
    Dica Petras: thanks

    Dica Petras: yes yes!
Liza Deischer: do you have a translator?
    Dica Petras: no
Wol Euler: oh, let me give you a landmark
Liza Deischer: ah thansk wol, I was just looking for one
Wol Euler: the simbolic translator is free and very good
    Dica Petras: ohhh
    Dica Petras: thanks

Pema Pera had suggested in an email to actively try out to "play as being" - this is the name of the group and for me sometimes I forget to just concentrate on that, so I was curious about the others

Lia Rikugun: so who tried out to play as being?
Lia Rikugun: instead of play yourself?
Liza Deischer: well I have been thinking about that today
    Lia Rikugun: yes me to
Liza Deischer: because of Pema's e-mail
Liza Deischer: but I'm struggling with it
Liza Deischer: we say it a lot, but still don't know what we are actually talking about
Lia Rikugun: for me it is leaning a little bit back from your own personality and doing what comes natura
Liza Deischer: today I was wondering if I don't look at ego parts when I think I;m experiencing being
Liza Deischer: then I wondered if ego isn't a part of being
Lia Rikugun: can you say more please
    Qt Core: hi all
    Lia Rikugun: hello Qt
    pablito Steampunk: hi QT
    Liza Deischer: oh, that's hard
    Wol Euler: hello qt
    Dica Petras: hi
Liza Deischer: put sometimes you do thigs that you think are coming from another place
Liza Deischer: I can try to define it
    Wol Euler: phone

    being aware

Liza Deischer: but the only reasonable thing to do seems to be aware of what is happening, instead of defyning it, not knowing if it is ego or not
Liza Deischer: but maybe not being very interesting either
Liza Deischer: that is about as far as I got
Lia Rikugun: like listening and watching everything what happens
Liza Deischer: yes, listening from the inside
    Lia Rikugun: yes yes
    Zon Quar: hi all
    pablito Steampunk: yes, like surrendering
    Lia Rikugun: hello zon
Liza Deischer: oh, sorry, hi QT
    pablito Steampunk: hi Zon
    Liza Deischer: and Zon :-)
    Dica Petras: hi
    Qt Core: np Liza :-)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Lia Rikugun: hey yaku
    Liza Deischer: hi Yaku
    pablito Steampunk: hi Yaku
    Qt Core: Hi Yaku
    Dica Petras: hi
    Zon Quar: yaku
Lia Rikugun: the image i see is of an opening angle, it gets very narraw playing myself
Lia Rikugun: and is wide open playing as being
Lia Rikugun: but withpout being able to give a cleasr definition
Liza Deischer: hmmm, right, my thougts too
Lia Rikugun: what i like to do is playing with attitudes and structures
Liza Deischer: but is awareness the way to approach it?
    Liza Deischer: experimenting
Lia Rikugun: yes just to see what the situation will bring
Lia Rikugun: does this fall under playing as being?
Lia Rikugun: haha i dont know
Lia Rikugun: i think awareness is very important
Liza Deischer: well, the thing is, for me that sounds like you seeing
Storm Nordwind: What alternatives do you suggest to awareness Liza?
    Liza Deischer: not being seeing
    arabella Ella: Hiya
    Qt Core: hi Ara
    Liza Deischer: non
    Lia Rikugun: hi arabella
    Dica Petras: hi

you seeing versus being seeing - what's what?

Liza Deischer: but I have a feeling that I'm more 'busy' with You seeing, then with Being
    pablito Steampunk: hi arabella
    Storm Nordwind nods
    Liza Deischer: hi ara
    Zon Quar: hi ara
Liza Deischer: but maybe that is the way to go
Liza Deischer: I guess that is my question :-)
pablito Steampunk: do you think there is a purpose to awareness?
Liza Deischer: because I regocnize what you say is familiar to me
Liza Deischer: non then being aware
Liza Deischer: and starting to concentrate on elements that are coming up
Liza Deischer: can give you some information
Liza Deischer: but you can only be aware of that
    Liza Deischer: in my opinion
Liza Deischer: and if I make any sense :-)
    Wol Euler: back, hello newcomers
    Liza Deischer: wb Wol
    arabella Ella: wb Wol
Liza Deischer: I'm wearing the wrong glasses, giving me a slight headache, so I go search for the other ones
    Liza Deischer: back
Liza Deischer: (being very annoyed about the need to wear glasses anyway :-))
    Lia Rikugun: :)

taking the (90 seconds in SL) break and just doing it, instead of talking about it :)

Lia Rikugun: right now it was very difficult for me to take a breakint the 90 seconds of silence
Lia Rikugun: i guess it is dependent on the dasy
    Mickorod Renard: Hi Guys
    Lia Rikugun: how about you?
    Lia Rikugun: hi mick
    Wol Euler: hello mick
    Liza Deischer: hi Mick
    pablito Steampunk: hi mick
    Qt Core: hi mick
Liza Deischer: it is, I wasn't taking the 90 sec both times, I'm afraid
    arabella Ella: Hiya Mick
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Lia Rikugun: yes i need to watch myself not to fall into to much of thinking and instead doing something
Lia Rikugun: or well start not doing anything
    Mickorod Renard: procrastinating?
Lia Rikugun: haha, well when it comes to meditation and talking about it
Lia Rikugun: it should have balance
Lia Rikugun: and i need to watch myself to not talk too much about it and think about it but just do it
    Liza Deischer: true :-)
Liza Deischer: I know what you mean
Lia Rikugun: maybe during the next 90 seconds we all try to take the time
Lia Rikugun: dont do anything else no thinking of other things
Lia Rikugun: but try to drop things in our heads
Lia Rikugun: or try to play as being
    Lia Rikugun: ;)
    Liza Deischer: right on :-)
Lia Rikugun: or we do it right now already
    Lia Rikugun: ?? :)

is Play as Being a doing? - (I guess it shouldnt be and it shouldnt feel like this, but for me I still need to take some time to do this exercise of Play as Being, it doesnt come automatic or at least it doesnt feel like it)

pablito Steampunk: would you say Play as being is a doing?
    Lia Rikugun: unteil1:40pm
Lia Rikugun: i am not sure what it means :) i guess
Mickorod Renard: I think its doing in a way of helping us understand methods of dropping
Lia Rikugun: doing in the way of lets take the action and do the exercise of not doing anything
    Mickorod Renard: he he
    pablito Steampunk: sounds paradoxical
Lia Rikugun: i think for me now maybe it takes more energy to not do anything because i am not used to it
Lia Rikugun: in this way maybe it feels like a doing and this is why i explained it in this way
Liza Deischer: it is, but that is because we thing about those things as seperate things
Lia Rikugun: but i dont really know
    Liza Deischer: *think
Qt Core: have to go, bye all
    pablito Steampunk: bye qt
    Wol Euler: bye qt
    Lia Rikugun: bye qt
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye qt
    Mickorod Renard: bye qt
    Liza Deischer: bye QT
    Zen Arado: Hi all
Mickorod Renard: I think there are diferent ways of thinking
    Lia Rikugun: hello zen
    Wol Euler: hi zen
    Liza Deischer: hi Zen
    pablito Steampunk: hello zen
    arabella Ella: Hiya Zen
Mickorod Renard: some are all absorbing ways when we are busy with chores
Mickorod Renard: and we should break this habit by dropping and putting more effort into appreciating what we are and what we have in life
Mickorod Renard: not possesions or money,,but gifts of life
    Liza Deischer: hmm, not sure

    the break is coming up

Lia Rikugun: ok, lets take the next 90 seconds to play as being :)
Wol Euler: ((break coming up, get ready to drop :)
    Lia Rikugun: so what happened?
Mickorod Renard: I did lots of im
Wol Euler: I became very much aware of my lousy posture, and how it was adding to my tiredness and discomfort
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Lia Rikugun: ah, i should have changed my posture :)
    Dica Petras: good bye
Lia Rikugun: i went into a half sleeping half awake state because so tired ;)
Wol Euler: bye dica, take care
Storm Nordwind: I just melted away. Physical boundaries just dissolved for me.
    Lia Rikugun: bye dica
Dica Petras: a lot off kiss
    Zen Arado: bye Dica
    pablito Steampunk: bye dica
Liza Deischer: music outside, 'view' on my computer
    pablito Steampunk: chao
    Mickorod Renard: bye dica
    Liza Deischer: bye Dica
Liza Deischer: but now feeling more grounded
Lia Rikugun: yes me too a little
    Lia Rikugun: definitely more relaxed
Mickorod Renard: I sometimes feel I have walked out of a cave and into some fresh air
    Lia Rikugun: wow
    Liza Deischer: :-)
Mickorod Renard: I think otthers have suggested a similar feeling or description
Liza Deischer: there is definitely a refreshing element in meditation
    Wol Euler nods.

    Eliza joins the session

    Mickorod Renard: Hi Eliza
    Zen Arado: Hi Eliza:)
    Wol Euler: hello eliza
Mickorod Renard: yes Eliza,,I have posted my log
    Lia Rikugun: hello eliza
Eliza Madrigal: Hi there... just staying for a few minutes but nice to see you all
    Mickorod Renard: :)
    Liza Deischer: hi Eliza
    pablito Steampunk: hi Eliza
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey eliza :9
Eliza Madrigal: hahah Mick. Thank you ;-)
Lia Rikugun: (no ididnt post mine yet sorry!)
    arabella Ella: Hiya Eliza!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hiya :))
Eliza Madrigal hopes not always to be seen in her 'working hat' but appreciates all the help :))
Wol Euler: how's the cold, eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, thanks Wol... quite a bit better today
    Wol Euler: good :)
    Liza Deischer: :-)
pablito Steampunk: i see your still wearing your yin and yang eyes Eliza
    pablito Steampunk: ã‹¡
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Liza Deischer: oh :-)
Eliza Madrigal: I've taken them off now and again, but you weren't here then! :)
pablito Steampunk: i came back for the eyes lol
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
    Liza Deischer: four pupils :-)
Wol Euler: I was about to say "only in SL" but remembered meeting a girl with bright red rats' eyes (contacts) last weekend
    pablito Steampunk: lol
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah Wol
    Liza Deischer: ah :-)
Eliza Madrigal: SL sensibilities seeping into RL
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Liza Deischer: Storm got so relaxed, he is smoking a pipe :-)
    Storm Nordwind chuckles

Zen gives us a really nice quote about just sitting and having no aims of enlightenment

Zen Arado: "If we have ambitions even if our aim is enlightenment then there is no meditation, because we are thinking about it, craving it, fantasizing, imagining things. That is not meditation. This is why an important characteristic of shamatha meditation is to let go of any goal and simply sit for the sake of sitting. We breathe in and out, and we just watch that. Nothing else. It doesnt matter if we get enlightenment or not. It doesnt matter if our friends get enlightened faster. Who cares? We are just
    Lia Rikugun: :)
    Zen Arado: sitting
Wol Euler: that sounds about right.
    Eliza Madrigal: Nice quote Zen
    Zen Arado: http://www.tricycle.com/-practice/do-nothing?offer=dharma
    Liza Deischer: right Zen :-)
    Zen Arado: Tibetan Buddhist too
    Eliza Madrigal: 'Who' cares
    Lia Rikugun: thank you zen!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    arabella Ella: nice quote
Eliza Madrigal: yeah, I guess its a bit misguided to go around trying to 'enlighten' people :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus sneakes to bed
    Yakuzza Lethecus: night everyone
    Liza Deischer: nite Yaku
    Eliza Madrigal: Night Ya :))
    Storm Nordwind waves
    Zen Arado: nie Yahu
    Wol Euler: gute nahct, yaku
    Zen Arado: sleep well
    pablito Steampunk: bye
    Mickorod Renard: nite yaku
Lia Rikugun: i have to go too,
    Lia Rikugun: bye
    Eliza Madrigal: (Bye Lia)
    Liza Deischer: bye Lia
    Zen Arado: bye Lia
    arabella Ella: bye Lia Yaku
    pablito Steampunk: bye Lia

I went to bed at this time and will not try to comment the remaining session

Wol Euler: accidental symmetry emerges :)
Zen Arado: "We are just breathing. We just sit straight and watch the breath in and out. Nothing else. We let go of our ambitions. This includes trying to do a perfect shamatha meditation. We should get rid of even that. Just sit.
Zen Arado: it chopped that part off
Eliza Madrigal: 'accidental symmetry'... nice book title
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Liza Deischer: :-)
    Mickorod Renard: bye guys,,gotta go
Wol Euler: bye mick, take care
    Liza Deischer: bye Mick
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Mick :) C you soon
    pablito Steampunk: bye Mick
    arabella Ella: bye Mick
    Zen Arado: bye Mick
Liza Deischer: but at the same time we need awareness and an open mind
Liza Deischer: because we can also 'sink' away
Liza Deischer: the straight back is keeping us 'awake'
Zen Arado: thinking I need to be open to whatever happens
    Liza Deischer: right :-)
Liza Deischer: but that is also grasping in itself :-)
Liza Deischer: but working with this paradox is what makes meditation so interesting to me
Eliza Madrigal: one will quickly exhaust themselves trying to grasp openness :)
    Liza Deischer: true
    Eliza Madrigal: *themself
Zen Arado: opening ot openness :)
Liza Deischer: but I guess that is where the meditationobject is pretty useful
    Zen Arado: or something
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Liza Deischer smiles at Zen
Zen Arado: it's so hard to do something without looking for something in return
    Liza Deischer: yes, it is
Eliza Madrigal: that's why we practice at it :)
Liza Deischer: at it is very hard not to expect anything
    Liza Deischer: right :-)
    Zen Arado: expecting non expectance?
Liza Deischer is noticing that Storm is making perfect circles with his smoke
    arabella Ella: :)
    Zen Arado: he practiced :)
    Storm Nordwind: http://www.sleepbot.com/morgan/images/card/perfect.gif
Liza Deischer: doing and not doing, it is all in the paradox
    Liza Deischer: probably :-)
    Zen Arado: definitely maybe
    Zen Arado: :)
    Wol Euler grins. Nice, storm.
Liza Deischer: hahahah, about Storms link
    Zen Arado: :)
Liza Deischer: maybe that is the best closure for tonight
Liza Deischer: for me it is :-)
    Wol Euler: 'night liza
Liza Deischer: see you all next time
    Liza Deischer: bye
    Storm Nordwind waves
Zen Arado: yes I'll go too before I tie myself into knots :)
    arabella Ella: bye Liza
    arabella Ella: bye Zen
    Zen Arado: nite all
Wol Euler: bye zen, take care
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Zen, Liza
Eliza Madrigal: looking now at the link... heheh
Wol Euler: son of accidental symmetry :)
    arabella Ella: he he
Eliza Madrigal: Must go too actually (feeling a bit dizzy again), but finally getting back into the swing of things so look forward to staying to play longer :)
Wol Euler: 'night eliza, take care
    Storm Nordwind: Namaste
    Wol Euler: get well soon
    arabella Ella: bye Liza
Wol Euler: 'night storm, take care
Eliza Madrigal: Bye for now, and thanks Wol. You too :) ((( )))))
Eliza Madrigal: bye ara, storm, pablito :)
arabella Ella: seems like pablito is having a nap :)
Wol Euler: he works too hard.
    Wol Euler: poor dear.
    arabella Ella nods
Wol Euler: putting his two younger brothers through college, you know :)
arabella Ella: did you watch the UK leaders debate tonite Wol on TV?
    arabella Ella: oh
Wol Euler: no, sorry, I'm being silly, made that up
Wol Euler: and no, I didn't. I haven't watched TV in about four years
arabella Ella: i know you did but no worries
arabella Ella: lucky if you dont watch TV
Wol Euler: my dears, I am going to head off to RL and to bed. Take care, be happy
arabella Ella: nite Wol good to see you :)
pablito Steampunk: oh my i missed everyone
pablito Steampunk: did they all leave suddenly ara?
arabella Ella: yes pablito you were tired you had a nap
arabella Ella: no they left gradually
arabella Ella: over the past 20 - 25 mins
pablito Steampunk: i went for a drink and got caught up in a chat
arabella Ella: but you must have had a tough day :)
    arabella Ella: no worries
pablito Steampunk: yes, been working all day
arabella Ella: was about to go too nite pablito!
    arabella Ella: cya
    pablito Steampunk: ok
    pablito Steampunk: take care
    pablito Steampunk: bye
