The Guardian for this meeting was Calvino Rabeni. The comments are by Calvino Rabeni. This session had a somewhat random character - crashes, things starting and stopping, coming and going.

Calvino Rabeni: Calvino Rabeni considers, since no one is here, I can practice my moves for the "Ministry of Silly Walks"
Calvino Rabeni: This will, in a nefarious plan, draw others such that I might be suitably embarassed or unreasonably pleased with myself
Calvino Rabeni: Ok, here goes ....
Calvino Rabeni: (stands up, cracks knuckles in preparation)
Calvino Rabeni: (does a few foot circles, silently)
Calvino Rabeni: Ah, Lucinda, you caught me by surprise!
Lucinda Lavender: you are but a little cloud...
    Lucinda Lavender: Phew
Lucinda Lavender: you are perhaps wearing sopmething that takes much energy to load?
Lucinda Lavender: Something... that is not energy efficient?
Lucinda Lavender: Once that was what happened to me. It was a lovely marshmallow flaming on a stick!
    Lucinda Lavender: Could not load.
Lucinda Lavender: your hover text says:Ugh me not know...and actually I know just how you feel
Lucinda Lavender: may we all have the courage to fully embody the avatar...
Calvino Rabeni: it depends on the phase of the moon and the Nairobi stock exchange and how much soda is in the machine at Linden Labs
    Lucinda Lavender: :)))
Lucinda Lavender: if it does ...it does...
Calvino Rabeni: Remember the days when we could claim it proudly ...
    Calvino Rabeni: "I'm a little Tea-Pot"
    Lucinda Lavender: claim what?
    Lucinda Lavender: oh!
Calvino Rabeni: One person here has an avatar that looks like a tea tray
Calvino Rabeni: Laden with goodies as I recall
    Lucinda Lavender: lovely!
Lucinda Lavender: So we could go about serving this...one...
    Calvino Rabeni: Hello Kenji
    kenji Pookes: hi
Lucinda Lavender: If you were going to serve something ...something that is your gift...what might it me I wonder....
    kenji Pookes: pizza
Lucinda Lavender: oops...what might it be?
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Kngi!
    Lucinda Lavender: oops...
    kenji Pookes: Kngil?
kenji Pookes: I don't think I could even pronounce that
    Lucinda Lavender: Mr. Pookes
    Lucinda Lavender: me either...
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: I am not the most accurate typist...
    kenji Pookes: Indeed
    Lucinda Lavender: so sorry!
kenji Pookes: Doesn't really matter what you type--kenji isn't my name
    Lucinda Lavender: ok...
Lucinda Lavender: nice to meet you tho
    kenji Pookes: thanks
    kenji Pookes: Montessori teacher, eh?
Lucinda Lavender: Myself and Calvino(the little cloud) are happy to chat.
    Lucinda Lavender: Yes actually
kenji Pookes: Daughter goes to montessori school; son did when he was little
Calvino Rabeni: Am I still a cloud to you, Lucinda?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes Cal...
kenji Pookes: not a cloud to me
kenji Pookes: What are you chatting about?
Lucinda Lavender: I wish my kids had gone to Montessori...but I only started working in a scool a few years ago...
Calvino Rabeni: There are SL-voodoo actions that can be used as remedies, but I don't know them
    Calvino Rabeni: Really Lucinda?
Calvino Rabeni: Before that, what was it?
Lucinda Lavender: Well a Montessori school offered me a position after many years of working in regular preschool.
    Calvino Rabeni: Ah.
    Lucinda Lavender: Well, Emergent Curriculum...
Lucinda Lavender: How is that for being/playing?
kenji Pookes: I'm guessing you don't teach typing
Calvino Rabeni: You can compare them in some way
Lucinda Lavender: I got a "D" in typing
kenji Pookes: Well, it could have been worse
    Lucinda Lavender: :(
Calvino Rabeni: How old are the oldest children there?
    Lucinda Lavender: 5
    Lucinda Lavender: I suppose
    Lucinda Lavender: worese
    Lucinda Lavender: oops
    kenji Pookes: that, too
    Calvino Rabeni: Worse?
kenji Pookes: What do you do, Calvino?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes worse
Calvino Rabeni: In RL? I used to add to the complexities of the world through software design meant to simplify things :)
kenji Pookes: So you were one of the design team for Blackboard, then
Calvino Rabeni: Until I caught on to the inherent contradictions of that approach
kenji Pookes: What do you do now?
Calvino Rabeni: And you, do you do something interesting?
kenji Pookes: No, everything I do is boring
Calvino Rabeni: Hmmm, some like that, what about you?
    kenji Pookes: What about me?
Calvino Rabeni: Do you like the boring life?
kenji Pookes: Actually, my life isn't all that boring. I was kidding. What I do is I'm an anthropologist.
Calvino Rabeni: I read your profile - do you travel and embed or, well what does an anthorpologist do?
Lucinda Lavender: I see that you are interested in ritual also? Do you dig?
kenji Pookes: No, I don't work with the military.
kenji Pookes: I'm a cultural anthropologist; so I don't dig.
    Lucinda Lavender: Right!...Interesting...
    kenji Pookes: bye
    Lucinda Lavender: Hmmm...bye cal
    Lucinda Lavender: bye Kenji
Lucinda Lavender: So LL is sitting quietly watching the fountain...
    Lucinda Lavender: Good evening...
    Calvino Rabeni: Hi again -
Calvino Rabeni: Sometimes I wonder if the Linden Labs people are playing tricks on us
    Lucinda Lavender: perhaps
Calvino Rabeni: like suddenly transporting, then teleport doesn't work
Lucinda Lavender: There were many crashes this afternoon...
Calvino Rabeni: Wasn't there an anthropologist around here somewhere?
Lucinda Lavender: Kenji left sorry to say.
Calvino Rabeni: It might be an occupational hazard, I was thinking
    Lucinda Lavender: why?
Calvino Rabeni: Because they are supposed to study culture, which is an "embed", but supposed to try to be scientific, which is a distanced, uninvolved position
Calvino Rabeni: Thus creating a double-bind
    Lucinda Lavender: ah!
    Lucinda Lavender: yes!
Lucinda Lavender: I was imaginging playing a game here where we take turns saying words...randomly as possible...
Calvino Rabeni: I tried that in a RL playshop the other day.
Lucinda Lavender: would it be a fun Idea somewhere else instead?
Lucinda Lavender: rather than on air?
Lucinda Lavender: I guess I am in a sort of friday night party mood...
Calvino Rabeni: There is always IM
Calvino Rabeni: I found it difficult, but suppose I'm game
Calvino Rabeni: In the RL case it involved a rubber chicken
Lucinda Lavender: Save it for another time then.
    Lucinda Lavender: really
Calvino Rabeni: DO you work, the day of May 20 at 10AM?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes...
    Lucinda Lavender: why?
Calvino Rabeni: There's an opportunity for free "adult play", and it's not the X rated variety, but the real thing
Calvino Rabeni: If I'm around, I might do it
    Lucinda Lavender: 2L?
Calvino Rabeni: You I think, with your profession, have retained a relationship with play
Calvino Rabeni: This is 1L, hands on, the rubber chicken is not virtual :)
Lucinda Lavender: that is the truth
Calvino Rabeni: Yes, true as rain
    Lucinda Lavender: :)))
    Calvino Rabeni: Hello Fox
    Foxtree Gorbunov: hi
    Lucinda Lavender: HI Fox!
    Foxtree Gorbunov: how do
    Calvino Rabeni: Well, actually
Calvino Rabeni: My life has had wine, women, and song in it :)
Foxtree Gorbunov: life suck right now?
Calvino Rabeni: Not at all :)
Foxtree Gorbunov: I like women and song, I like wine all that much
Foxtree Gorbunov: not all that much
Calvino Rabeni: Some things are best when you grow your own
    Foxtree Gorbunov: the wine
    Calvino Rabeni: Or create, etc.
Foxtree Gorbunov: I just needed to get center-ed
Calvino Rabeni: How is that done?
Foxtree Gorbunov: for me. Clear out the mind
Foxtree Gorbunov: try not ot think
Foxtree Gorbunov: or only think on one word
Calvino Rabeni: Today I tried sitting by a river to see if that would work for this purpose
Foxtree Gorbunov: Sometime I got to make a lot of movement and nose. Go real nuts like. then just stop and do nothing.
Calvino Rabeni: There is a school near one of my houses, that likes to do that regularly
    Foxtree Gorbunov: I hear that.
Calvino Rabeni: (now you see them, now you don't)
Calvino Rabeni: Hmm, things seem abrupt tonight
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Calvino Rabeni: Or maybe it is random.
    Lucinda Lavender: :)))
Calvino Rabeni: I think you had an idea what to do with the random energy
    Lucinda Lavender: ?
    Lucinda Lavender: oh...the game?
    Calvino Rabeni: Right
    Lucinda Lavender: oops...
Lucinda Lavender: we were talkingin the bell time...
    Calvino Rabeni: Naughty...
Lucinda Lavender: I am helping Will find a recipe for macaroni and cheese
Lucinda Lavender: that should be ok when you have hyst had surgery...?
    Lucinda Lavender: just
Calvino Rabeni: Smoothies would be good
Lucinda Lavender: He is tired of sweet stuff...
Lucinda Lavender: wants to feel full...
Calvino Rabeni: RIght, miso soup then
    Calvino Rabeni: Oh, not filling
Lucinda Lavender: ooh that sounds good!
Calvino Rabeni: Beast stew, well cooked?
    Lucinda Lavender: sounds good tho.
Lucinda Lavender: i had this question for you...I remember. If you were the tea tray. What gift would you deliver?
Calvino Rabeni: How about a crumpet - tea trays provide edibles
Lucinda Lavender: Well ...with that note I must leave to give over the computer for the moment. I still want to hear if you come up with an idea tho. Crupets are yummy
    Lucinda Lavender: crumpets...
Lucinda Lavender: with butter and honey.
    Lucinda Lavender: and tea
Calvino Rabeni: Bye then, have a good evening :)
    Lucinda Lavender: stars are shining...
    Lucinda Lavender: till later then...
Calvino Rabeni: All well to you and yours
