The Guardian for this meeting was Eos Amaterasu. The comments are by Eos Amaterasu.

    Eos Amaterasu: Hi druth
    druth Vlodovic: hello
Eos Amaterasu: Welcome to Play as Being
    druth Vlodovic: ty
Eos Amaterasu: Have you been here before?
druth Vlodovic: yes, I don't think I've met you though
Eos Amaterasu: We haven't intersected in the slots we've been in lately
    druth Vlodovic: :)

druth Vlodovic: "peacemaker training" sounds ominous, have you had any? :)

Eliza Madrigal: Hi Eos, druth. I can't stay but thought I'd peek in for a second :)
    druth Vlodovic: hey eliza
    Eos Amaterasu: HI Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: Hey :)
Eos Amaterasu: Nice to feel your peek
    Eliza Madrigal smiles :)))
Eliza Madrigal: thanks... and paradise waves hello
druth Vlodovic: I try to be discrete
    Eliza Madrigal: Night for now
    Eos Amaterasu: ~~ to paradise
    Eos Amaterasu: 'night
    Eliza Madrigal: :D
Eos Amaterasu: Tlhis is like a Shakespeare play with very short scenes
    druth Vlodovic: lol

Eos Amaterasu: I like your profile line about truth starting where you stop looking for it (something like that)
druth Vlodovic: no cannons or peanut gallery
druth Vlodovic: I was watching a sitcom once, guy was turning over couch cusions looking for the remote he had in his hand "I didn't want it to be in the last place I looked."
Eos Amaterasu: awareness is like that
Eos Amaterasu: you look for it all over the place
Eos Amaterasu: but it's in whatever appears for you already
Eos Amaterasu: druth, would you have a suggestion as to how to approach the upcoming 90 seconds?
    druth Vlodovic: not really
Eos Amaterasu: How do you approach the 9 secs?
    druth Vlodovic: ??
druth Vlodovic: you mean the bell?
    Eos Amaterasu: yes
druth Vlodovic: I usually review what's been said recently then spend half the time thinking, or percolating it

    Eos Amaterasu: How was that?
druth Vlodovic: lol, annoying, nobody said anything yet
druth Vlodovic: how do you use the time?
Eos Amaterasu: attempts to fill up the time stream by
Eos Amaterasu: I do a lot of talking to myself
Eos Amaterasu: & talking to others
druth Vlodovic: IMing? isn't that cheating
    Eos Amaterasu: IMMing
    Eos Amaterasu: In My Minding
druth Vlodovic: what do you find there?
    Eos Amaterasu: internal conversations
    druth Vlodovic: good ones?
    Eos Amaterasu: doesn't matter
Eos Amaterasu: good bad, happy sad
Eos Amaterasu: they come, strut their stuff on stage, and then go off
Eos Amaterasu: (didn't shakespeare write something like that?)
druth Vlodovic: I think that was people
Eos Amaterasu: What do you find inside some artibrary 9 second chunk of your time?
druth Vlodovic: I'm hoping to put a stop to internal dialogues, at least from time to time
    druth Vlodovic: pacing :)
druth Vlodovic: it takes pressure off the rest of the time
Eos Amaterasu: Sometimes they stop on their own, for an instant
Eos Amaterasu: that promises that such an instant can be found in any time
druth Vlodovic: :) we need some "virtual people" to warm seats when the stage is empty
    Eos Amaterasu: say more....
druth Vlodovic: oh, how many people map it to see who is there, then go away because it's empty
Eos Amaterasu: you mean this pavilion?
druth Vlodovic: yes, it's kind of uncomfortable with just two or three, the natural thing is to talk about each other, inappropriate in front of a recorder
Eos Amaterasu: Hmm.... I've found you can actually have a high quality conversation with one or two people
druth Vlodovic: and very hard with more than 6
Eos Amaterasu: but I suppose there's always whatever boundary seems appropriate re disclosing self in SL/RL

Eos Amaterasu: That magic number 7 plus or minus 2
druth Vlodovic: the virtual providing a layer of care over the "real"
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
druth Vlodovic: an insulating layer perhaps, between people, lets them be more open
    Eos Amaterasu: boundaries can open
druth Vlodovic: artificially induced safety, reducing fear
Eos Amaterasu: the 9 seconds, or 90 seconds, as such by putting quotation marks around time
Eos Amaterasu: that's artificial, but it can open up
druth Vlodovic: it gives people time to realize they don't need to create and defend a position
Eos Amaterasu: and space to realize when they have created and defended a position
Eos Amaterasu: so momentarily there is no position
Eos Amaterasu: you're parachuting in space
Eos Amaterasu: except there are no parachutes
druth Vlodovic: I used to imagine myself facing the world standing on the very edge of a cliff, no defences, no limit to how far I could fall, sometime it was frightening, oddly, sometimes it wasn't
Eos Amaterasu thinks it's kind of odd to be sharing - what? - with a perfect stranger from who knows what part of the world....
druth Vlodovic: often it's stranger to be sharing with someone you know
Eos Amaterasu: yes, often works that way
Eos Amaterasu: maybe finding that cliff here, circularly arranged around the pool, is what's attractive about it
Eos Amaterasu: In the next 90 secs, note your cliffs!
druth Vlodovic: keeping a little piece of the abyss in your pocket :)

druth Vlodovic: "the opiate of the people" :-)
Eos Amaterasu: the abyss is the opiate of the people?
druth Vlodovic: no, the opiate is the opposite of the abyss
Eos Amaterasu: what is the opiate?
druth Vlodovic: standing on the edge you must ignore, hide from, or face into it
druth Vlodovic: I'm not sure who said it but communist ideals were partly about awakenming people to their full potential, religion was banned because it acted like opium, making people docile
Eos Amaterasu: beliefs are the opiates of the people
druth Vlodovic: giving them a comforting hand to hold so they didn't need to face the cliff on their own
Eos Amaterasu: fast on the heels of beliefs are desires
druth Vlodovic: communism quickly replaced religions with heroes and nationalism
Eos Amaterasu: you can't escape religion
druth Vlodovic: it takes effort, kids worship their parents by default, and it goes on from there
Eos Amaterasu: you have to see yourself as having come from the abyss
Eos Amaterasu: and your parents likewise
Eos Amaterasu: and that you're currently in the abyss
druth Vlodovic: if you choose to acknowledge it then you must help shape it, that's a lot of responsibility :)
Eos Amaterasu: shaping things, neither your action nor those things leave the abyss
Eos Amaterasu: but yes: "to live outside the law you must be honest"
druth Vlodovic: people like to fill uncertainty with, stuff,
druth Vlodovic: "you only have one life, a cause can be picked up on any streetcorner." - Rincewind
Eos Amaterasu: whereas uncertainty is already full of stuff
Eos Amaterasu: staying with uncertainty, not fixating, you let things be
druth Vlodovic: you believe in uncertainty :-)

Eos Amaterasu: the water, the vapor, the crickets, the birds
druth Vlodovic: :) spreaking of uncertainty, I'm off to exchange this discussion for an argument
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
Eos Amaterasu: Okay, nice to talk with you here - ciao!
Eos Amaterasu: I will also disperse
druth Vlodovic: thank you for being here
