The Guardian for this meeting was Storm Nordwind, filling in for Eos Amaterasu. The comments are by Storm Nordwind. The chat log is called "Grout" because I was just filling in... ;-)

Just a little confusion at the start. Then we settle down to talk about nothing much for a very short time.

    Riddle Sideways: Eos????
    --BELL--
Storm Nordwind: You were by yourself, so I thought I'd come say Hi :)
Riddle Sideways: hey (not Eos) Storm
    Riddle Sideways: Hi
Riddle Sideways: what where you doing
Storm Nordwind: shopping for garden stuff
Storm Nordwind: we have a little extra in this sim now
    Riddle Sideways: strubberies?
    Storm Nordwind: Ni
Riddle Sideways: maybe I should grow carrots on my plot
    Riddle Sideways: a victory garden
Storm Nordwind: That would be good. perhaps you could open a soup kitchen

We're still confused. I take the chat log.

Riddle Sideways: who is suppose to be da gaurdian?
Storm Nordwind: Not you? Oh - let me see - one moment
Riddle Sideways: maybe the re-org lost this slot
Storm Nordwind: The Google calendar says Eos
Riddle Sideways: was what I thought
    Riddle Sideways: ty
Storm Nordwind: Well I'll stay for 10 minutes, then I must get to gardening!
    Riddle Sideways: ok,

    Countries, near and far.

Riddle Sideways: please tell me how life in Amerika has treated you now that some time has passed
Storm Nordwind: Hmm... well bureaucracy is the same everywhere I guess. But I like where I live :)
Riddle Sideways: am reading a book where author was shocked over america
Storm Nordwind: The society still seems to me the most fear-ridden in the world - as it's the tool of choice in business, politics and religion - but I'm not susceptible! ;)
Riddle Sideways: I would think not
Storm Nordwind: In what way is the author shocked?
Riddle Sideways: was african woman in the 60's
Storm Nordwind: ah - yes - well that would be a reasonable reaction
Riddle Sideways: my son left for Kenya 2 days ago
    Storm Nordwind: Oh?
Riddle Sideways: I thought I was reading a book about Kenya
Riddle Sideways: and she gets a real education in US
Riddle Sideways: he will spend 2 months there. Bringing the internet and computers to them
Riddle Sideways: if they want them
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: one main lesson is to ask
Storm Nordwind: One of my best friends and colleagues - a fellow software engineer - was a Kenyan Indian woman. Very bright. A Jain also IIRC
Storm Nordwind: I knew her 20 years ago - after she had left Kenya of course
Riddle Sideways: many Indians in Kenya history

How to work the wiki. (As a fill in, I'm trying too hard with these comments)

Riddle Sideways: I am also trying to fiquire out indent/outdent of comments into the chat log wiki
Storm Nordwind: Slipping into HTML is the way I do it. But I suspect there are better ways.
Riddle Sideways: no, that seemed to be the only way
Riddle Sideways: but I tried the others
Storm Nordwind: Hmm... perhaps we should simply use a different presentation paradigm and give up the old way
Riddle Sideways: was coming around to that point too
Riddle Sideways: change is some times hard
    Storm Nordwind shrugs
Storm Nordwind: Naughty guardians put in wiki-jail if they format their own way? I suspect not
    Riddle Sideways: lol
Riddle Sideways: there are personal jails for the willing
Storm Nordwind: Probably what keeps SL (and LL) afloat

Art and who should interpret it.

Riddle Sideways: I missed the session on time in/as being yesterday
Riddle Sideways: it is such a beautifil display
    Riddle Sideways: am reading log
Storm Nordwind: It is. The log has been posted for it though (by Bleu), with a few of my impromptu snapshots
Storm Nordwind should read before he writes
Riddle Sideways wonders if a snapshot per photo would sink the wiki
Storm Nordwind: I doubt there'd be a problem
Riddle Sideways: then again... many times I do not want to hear the interpetation of artwork
Riddle Sideways: but feel it self read
Storm Nordwind: Exactly so. Interpretation by the artist is limiting. Modern artists leave that to the viewer
Storm Nordwind: On the other hand, to understand the creation process can give timid souls confidence to take part in future. So I made an exception in this case :)
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: ah, in the gallery we continually ask "what was the artist thinking", but I do not really want to know
Storm Nordwind: I ask that question when I see American rustic furniture."What on earth were they thinking?" :)

    Away.

Storm Nordwind: Well perhaps I should depart
    Riddle Sideways: I should too
    Riddle Sideways: c'ya
    Storm Nordwind waves
