The Guardian for this meeting was Storm Nordwind. The comments are by Storm Nordwind.

A quiet session with lots of silences, a new visitor, an exchange of T shirts, a discussion of Spanish lessons and a wave to our good friend in hospital.

Eden Haiku: Good morning Storm :)
    Storm Nordwind: Good morning Eden!
Storm Nordwind: You look very Egyptian ;)
    Eden Haiku: Do i :) ?

    Spanish class.

Eden Haiku: I'm coming from a Spanish class. Felt weird...in this attire.
    Storm Nordwind: I see!
Storm Nordwind: Well the hair and the cobra and the lapis ornament struck me as Egyptian :)
Eden Haiku: Yaku tped me there as I got online, and I woke up late this mrning so I have no idea where I am really :))
Storm Nordwind looks around to check
Storm Nordwind: I have a cast iron rule for finding out where you are...
    Sartre Placebo: hey everyone
Storm Nordwind: "Wherever you go, there you are"
Eden Haiku: You are right, I was attempting a joke, I came here as an Egyptian this morning :)
    Bleu Oleander: hi all :)
    Sartre Placebo: hi bleu
Storm Nordwind: Good day Satre and Bleu
Eden Haiku: Not knowing I would start at a Spanish class :) Hey Jean-Paul :))
Eden Haiku: Good morning Bleu :)
Sartre Placebo: hehe, i asked you for ur spanish skills before the tp :)
Storm Nordwind's humor circuits are not yet active. More coffee required ;)
    Sartre Placebo: lol
    Sartre Placebo: :)
Eden Haiku: First coffee just arrived :))
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, the Spanish class was inetresting Yaku, thanks :)
    Sartre Placebo: it´s still running
Bleu Oleander: when is that class?
Sartre Placebo: still, i don´t understand that much in the conversational class
    Sartre Placebo: http://www.google.com/calendar/embed...ca/Los_Angeles
Sartre Placebo: there are 3 classes per week right now
    Sartre Placebo: *spanish
    Bleu Oleander: ty
Sartre Placebo: thurdays at 6 am there is the conversational spanish
Bleu Oleander: 6am is hard for me
Eden Haiku: I'm still part of a Spanish group in Montreal. We meet in a restaurant for dinner every two weeks and talk only in Spanish. I haven't been going for months now. I'm trying to focus on a few things at a time now :)
    Storm Nordwind: Very wise
Storm Nordwind: I was almost inspired to learn Spanish because of their superior coverage of the World Cup on the local TV networks over ESPN. But that motivation has gone for another 4 years! ;)
Sartre Placebo: i am not focussed that much, i just try to get a broader view and a feeling what i understand when overloaded with information
Bleu Oleander: very easy to be overloaded with information these days :)
Eden Haiku: Were you pro-Spaniards Storm? Did you win or did you loose ?An experiment I did throughout my youth Yaku :) (overloading of info)
Storm Nordwind: Pro-Spain over Nederlands, yes, because the Dutch were such a dirty team. But the Uruguay v. Germany match was the interesting one. Much much better - and more interesting people.
Storm Nordwind: But I just like the Spanish TV channels.
Storm Nordwind: Bear in mind I watch nothing on TV at other times anyway!
Eden Haiku: Good immersion in Spanish :)
Sartre Placebo: she´s rereading that poem right now, and really pronounces everything very emotional
Storm Nordwind: (It was the ebullient attitude and the camera work that was superior)
Eden Haiku: Beware when you start watching telenovellas Storm ;))
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
    Sartre Placebo: welcome alexa
    Alexa Katscher: thank you
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, about the Spanish teacher Yak (Sartre). I liked the class but not the way she declaimed poetry. Way much too emotional for me ;)
Storm Nordwind: Hi Alexa. Have you been here before?
Alexa Katscher: No , pretty new
Eden Haiku: I liked the way Pema linked the loss of the Dutch team to the loss of the Netherlands by the Spaniards centuries ago. I guess he was very much on the Dutch side forv the World Cup !

    Introducing our new visitor.

Storm Nordwind: Just to let you know that we record all the chat that takes place here.
Storm Nordwind: And then we publish it on the web
Alexa Katscher: Okay, good to know thank you
Storm Nordwind: So please let me know if you approve of your name being mentioned and your words quoted
    Alexa Katscher: I approve
    Storm Nordwind: Thank you! :)
Storm Nordwind: You'll find us here: http://wiki.playasbeing.org
Storm Nordwind: We meet here every 6 hours - well, some of us do!
Storm Nordwind: The people here have "Play as Being practice" in common
Storm Nordwind: That's a kind of awareness exercise, a little like a very short meditation
    Storm Nordwind: Hello Bruce
    Bleu Oleander: hi Bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: Good day, everyone.
Eden Haiku: Hi Bruce, welcome Alexa :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Dash.
    Storm Nordwind: Hello Dash
    Alexa Katscher: Thank you Eden
    Dash Earthboy: hi everyone
    Alexa Katscher: Hi Dash
    Bleu Oleander: hi Dash
    Eden Haiku: Hi Dash .
Dash Earthboy: we just flew in from another mtg
Bruce Mowbray: The flight attendants were kind.
    Eden Haiku: ;)
    Dash Earthboy: yes
    Alexa Katscher: ha
Storm Nordwind: He dropped his baggage en route
Bruce Mowbray: Did not charge extra for Blub.
    Dash Earthboy: that's the idea
    Alexa Katscher: :D
    Sartre Placebo: hey bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Sartre.

Announcing the coming Theme session. (Also announced on Twitter.)

Storm Nordwind: I'll do a trailer for the Theme Session in 6 hours time
Storm Nordwind: Sharon and Calvino will discussing "What does Play as Being mean to you?"
Storm Nordwind: That's at 1pm SLT
Storm Nordwind: I need to announce it on @playasbeing too (note to self!)
Storm Nordwind: Details for the session are here: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Theme_Sessions/Personal_Reflections_on_PlayAsBeing
Alexa Katscher: I have to split see you guys @1

    Waving to Zen.

Eden Haiku: Talking about the community aspect of Play as Being, our friend Zen was kind enough to answer my email from his hospital bed. He is sending his regards to us all :)
Storm Nordwind: Great - bye Alexa!
    Bleu Oleander: bye Alexa
    Eden Haiku: Bye Alexa :)
    Alexa Katscher: bye
Bleu Oleander: I hope he's doing better!
Bruce Mowbray: Oh -- DO send Zen our best wishes.
Storm Nordwind: He is online then? Good!
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Alexa.
Bruce Mowbray: "Our Best Wishes for your speedy recovery, Zen!"
Eden Haiku: Yes Bleu, he says he is back to eating and also that he sees this as part f his spiritual practice.
    Storm Nordwind smiles
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: He quoted some Zen master (I think) who said something like "Life is easy when one has no preferences."
Bleu Oleander: did he enjoy our photos?
Storm Nordwind: We miss his good attitude and dour wit :)
Eden Haiku: Good inspiring quote when in an hospital. He still has his sense of humor :)

Eden Haiku: OH yes, he found the photos lovely Bleu !
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: He asked me to look afetr his cat but I can't remember her name...
    Bleu Oleander: hmm

    The trials of landscaping.

Eden Haiku: Maybe I will find her hiding in one of the holes around my house...
Bleu Oleander: i say it there the other day
Bleu Oleander: what are you doing with your holes?
Eden Haiku: I found out big holes in my garden at the beach house, I had forgotten to lock the "Modify ground" permission ;(
Bleu Oleander: building a swimming pool?
    Bleu Oleander: easy to fix
Eden Haiku: No, I did not dig them, someone else did...Inadvertently I hope :)
Storm Nordwind: And there is no "undo".
Eden Haiku: I tried to fix it but the I was getting a mountain inseide my house :)
Storm Nordwind: I know an experienced landscaper ;)
Bleu Oleander: you might need to employ his services Eden :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, Storm, I would apperciate your help when you have time :)
Storm Nordwind: Probably next week now, if you can wait that long.
Eden Haiku: Sure, thanks a lot, next week is fine.
Bleu Oleander: need some "under construction" signs and some insurance .....
    Eden Haiku: Yes Bleu :))
Storm Nordwind: I remember when I pressed a wrong button on the badly designed edit terrain panel. I put all of the coastal lands in Mugunghwa and Buyeo under water in a second
    Bleu Oleander: oh my!
Storm Nordwind: It took 4 hours to rebuild them - luckily I had snapshotted a map
Eden Haiku: Wow, did you feel like Moses on the other side of the Red Sea?
Storm Nordwind: What you see on the coastline is version2 :)
Storm Nordwind: I think I could have safely throttled Moses had he appeared at that moment with a joke ;)
Eden Haiku: Oh oh, better not try anything myself landscapingwise...:)))

    T shirts.

Eden Haiku: Dash and Bruce, you are members of a peace group, hence the blue T-shirts with the peace dove?
    Eden Haiku: Hi Hana!
Bruce Mowbray: I made the t-shirts for our Quaker Meeting.
    Dash Earthboy: yes eden
    Hana Furlough: Hi everyone!
Bruce Mowbray: If anyone wants one, just let me know.
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Hana.
Eden Haiku: Oh, how nice Bruce!
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Hana
    Dash Earthboy: hi Hana
Eden Haiku: Yes, I wouldl like one, please :) I like them!
Bleu Oleander: need to get going .... will see you later for the special session :)
Bruce Mowbray: Walk in joy today, Bleu.
    Dash Earthboy: bye Bleu
    Bleu Oleander: bye all
    Hana Furlough: Bye Bleu!
    Sartre Placebo: bye bleu
Eden Haiku: Bye Bleu, wow, your outfit is even greater when you stand!
    Sartre Placebo: hey hana
Sartre Placebo: oh, dash didn´t see you
    Hana Furlough: hey there
    Dash Earthboy: hey Sartre

    Recording these sessions.

Dash Earthboy: what inspired the recording of these sessions?
    Storm Nordwind: Several things...
Storm Nordwind: this was a radically new way of approaching the subject of Being and we wanted to record how it went...
Storm Nordwind: and because of international interest, we wanted to make sure people all over the world - who could not attend all the sessions - could keep track of what happened
Eden Haiku: It is also very interesting to read the sessions when you cannot attend.
Storm Nordwind smiles at Eden and says "Snap"
    Dash Earthboy: i believe it
Bruce Mowbray: This whole venture seems like a voyage of discovery for me -- that's why I like it so much: staying with the open question. . .
Dash Earthboy: this is my second mtg
Eden Haiku: Even if you cannot interact when reading, It is fascinating to see how topics develop and how things evolve.
Storm Nordwind: Sometimes the sessions are quiet - like this one - sometimes they are lively, and just plain boisterous or even silly!
    Bruce Mowbray: agreed, Eden.
    Dash Earthboy: yes
Eden Haiku: What I like very much about meetings is the shared silences.
    Bruce Mowbray: agreed again, Eden.
Storm Nordwind: Yerhaps Dash you'll enjoy the meeting in 5 hours time - it's a Theme Session
Eden Haiku: This gets lost in the recording , except when we transgress and comment about it :)
    Storm Nordwind: *Perhaps
Dash Earthboy: as a musician i recognize the importance of the silences
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Bruce Mowbray: wonderful, Dash!
Eden Haiku: I like "Yerhaps", nice neologism Storm :)
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Storm Nordwind needs a refill of coffee
Dash Earthboy: ah yes, storm, my first mtg was the 1 AM yesterday
Eden Haiku: A musician Dash? Composer or interpret?
    Dash Earthboy: composer
Bruce Mowbray: Yesterday someone referred to the silences are "little Tao."
    Bruce Mowbray: as.
Eden Haiku: Oh how nice ;)
Dash Earthboy: i enjoy interpreting with others tho
Eden Haiku: Lttle Tao , nice :)
Bruce Mowbray: Dash is both composer and performer -- BIG time.
    Eden Haiku: Wow!
Storm Nordwind: Play as Being simply oozes talent
Bruce Mowbray apologizes to Dash if he's saying too much here.
Storm Nordwind: Dash's profile lists Composer Consultant Counselor so I guess he doesn't mind (and which is enough to show his American background too!;)
Eden Haiku: Also checked Dash's profile during the pause I confess ;)

    Winding down.

Dash Earthboy: i must attend to RL now...good to meet y'all...blessing to all
    Sartre Placebo: take care
    Eden Haiku: Namaste Dash :)
Storm Nordwind: Good to see you Dash
Bruce Mowbray: Walk in joy today, Dash.
    Sartre Placebo: bfn everyone
    Eden Haiku: Bye Sartre,

    Hana Furlough: Bye, Sartre
Bruce Mowbray: Welcome, adoro. Very good to see you again.
    Hana Furlough: Hello Adoro
Storm Nordwind: I cannot stay for long this morning. I have a thesis to proofread unexpectedly
    adoro Rhapsody: hi
    Eden Haiku: HI Adoro :)
    adoro Rhapsody: hi

adoro Rhapsody: its about 1700 hrs
