The Guardian for this meeting was Storm Nordwind. The comments are by Storm Nordwind. This was a long session where we covered many topics, including doubt and blueberries, but also awareness, PTSD, personal appearances, learning and unlearning, dreams... and a little silliness.

    Storm Nordwind: Good morning Bruce
    Storm Nordwind: Good morning Eden!
Eden Haiku: Good morning Storm, Bruce and Blub :)
Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Eden and Storm.
Storm Nordwind: You're looking very magenta-ish today Eden
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello everyone :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Gaya.
Storm Nordwind: Good afternoon Gaya, Agatha, Pema
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello everybody :)
Eden Haiku: Good afternoon Gaya :)
    Bruce Mowbray: G'morning, Aggs!
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Eden Haiku: Hey Agatha, Pema :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Pema.
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Pem
Pema Pera: Hi Gaya, Storm, Eden, Agatha, Bruce, Yaku!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Agatha Macbeth: And hello Yaku
Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Pema and Yaku :)
    Bruce Mowbray: G'morning, Yaku.
    Eden Haiku: Hey Yaku:)
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Yaku
    Agatha Macbeth: Abbot's aerodrome?
    Agatha Macbeth: ??
Yakuzza Lethecus: i came to late for the spanish class, and they had ,,NO STUDENTS" today :(
    Agatha Macbeth: Hola
Yakuzza Lethecus: there are even free classes in sl and nobody is using it
Pema Pera: afternoon here, in fact: I'm in Germany, Cologne
    Agatha Macbeth: Sehr gut :)

    Gaya's question.

Gaya Ethaniel: I have a question for Storm ... curious.
    Storm Nordwind listens
Gaya Ethaniel: Do you have doubts sometimes? If yes, how do you deal with it?
Storm Nordwind: Doubts about what Gaya?
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I don't know ... self doubt?
Gaya Ethaniel doesn't think Storm ever doubts about anything.
Storm Nordwind: No. Never any self-doubt
    Gaya Ethaniel: See?!
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, i also have storm as ,,storm the fearless" in mind
Gaya Ethaniel: So ... wondering why ...
Storm Nordwind: Doesn't mean I'm always right though :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: ok
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Liz :))
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Eliza :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey eliza :)
    Bruce Mowbray: G'day, Liza.
Eden Haiku: Good morning Eliza :)
    Pema Pera: hi Eliza!
Storm Nordwind: Good morning Gray Goddess :)
Agatha Macbeth remembers the Green Goddess
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Hana :)
    Eliza Madrigal grins, Hello :))
Eliza Madrigal: You look lovely Eden :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi hana :)
Bruce Mowbray: A beauteous good day to you, Hana.
    Hana Furlough: Hi everyone~
    Pema Pera: hi there Hana!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi hana
    Agatha Macbeth: hello Hana

It's interesting how other people view self confidence.

Gaya Ethaniel: So you always know what is right thing to do and stick with it?
Eden Haiku: Thanks, used the link you gave me that Paradise gave you :)
    Eden Haiku: HI Hana ;)
Storm Nordwind: No Gaya. But I can stick to what I evaluate at any given moment
Storm Nordwind: If I don't know, I just don't know at that moment. It's not a question of doubt
Eden Haiku: What was Eos and Eliza's theme session: know what is/ see clearly/ make a decision, something like that?
Eliza Madrigal: Be decisive, Know what is, See clearly :))
    Gaya Ethaniel: I'm not being rude I hope. I've been giving some consideration on how to deal with toxic thoughts after a talk with someone. You come across as very self-assured Storm .. hence the question ^^;;;
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, the other way around: start by making a decision ;)
Gaya Ethaniel: For me, I have doubts sometimes about myself, others or decisions etc.
Agatha Macbeth: Hana looks rather excluded there - perhaps we should widen the circle?
Hana Furlough: Oh no, it's quite all right
    Agatha Macbeth: Ok

An improvizing musician will definitely not always get it right, but they just have the confidence to get out of whatever silly situation they find or rather put themselves in, and at the same time make it look reasonably smooth or at least entertaining for the audience!

Storm Nordwind: I guess I have self-confidence, but I hope it never comes across as smug or arrogant :)
Hana Furlough: I am still close, proximity-wise
Gaya Ethaniel: If they are based on unappreciative voices, I just don't give much credit though I will acknowledge.
Bruce Mowbray: widening the circle would be metaphorically good.
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Storm Nordwind: Perpare to get wet then :))
    Agatha Macbeth: He he jumped
    Hana Furlough: lol! thanks
    Agatha Macbeth: Thanks Storm
Eden Haiku: Agatha, you look very different. Are you on vacation?
Agatha Macbeth: For this week, yes
    Eden Haiku: NIce ;)
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm
Eliza Madrigal: :) wondered... has been nice to have you in early sessions
Agatha Macbeth: Unfortunately i go back monday :(
    Gaya Ethaniel nods :)
    Agatha Macbeth smiles

The goods and bads of doubt.

Storm Nordwind: Doubt is a great purifier, Gaya, like fire for gold. The problem only comes when it is obsessive, and sadly that's true for many people.
    Gaya Ethaniel: Purifier?
Storm Nordwind: I have found that doubt purifies because it's the result of reflection and reassessment. It can give you a push to change. But having acknowledged it, I suspect that to get into a tight loop of doubt is destructive
    Agatha Macbeth: Agrees
Gaya Ethaniel: I guess I'm talking more about doubts that gnaw at confidence and trust rather than help one to be more open.
Bruce Mowbray: A joyous good morning to you, Strannik.
    Eden Haiku: Hello Strannik ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Strannik :))
    Strannik Zipper: Good morning all
    Pema Pera: hi Strannik!
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Stran
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi strannik
Gaya Ethaniel: Doubts that triggers one to go on an endless tangent.
    Hana Furlough: Hello Strannik
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Straniik :)
Storm Nordwind: The gnawing doubts don't sound pleasant, no
    Pema Pera: :)
Storm Nordwind nods hi to Strannik
Strannik Zipper: I think I see doubt as a tool - and when all you have is a hammer, then everything looks like a nail
Gaya Ethaniel: Since you dn't have those ... you can't tell me what you do :P
Storm Nordwind: That's a misconception Gaya!
Agatha Macbeth: It's always good to have *some* doubt or you may think you're perfect! :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: >.<
Eden Haiku: I say to self-doubts: "Thanks for sharing. Good bye! " Sometimes, it works :)
Storm Nordwind: People think you have to suffer in order to understand someone's misfortunes :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Well it helps ;P
    Storm Nordwind: Nice Eden!
Pema Pera: perhaps you can drop both doubts and beliefs . . . in the sense of leaving everything open, though that may be difficult at first
Strannik Zipper: doubt should inspire helpful reassessment, but not be crippling

    No pain.

Yakuzza Lethecus: Storm the eternal no pain guru :)
    Agatha Macbeth nods @ Stran
    Strannik Zipper: hahaha
Storm Nordwind: When you get hurt you feel pain Yaku. But there's no need to keep banging your head against a wall! :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I just know those thoughts are either being impatient/unrealistic or unappreciative.
Eden Haiku: giggles at "no pain guru"- @Yaku ;)
Agatha Macbeth: Banging one's head against a wall is a sure way to feel pain
Eliza Madrigal: Last night I read a Rumi poem... posted it actually. The end lines are basically "Don't brag when rubies appear in the begging bowl"... but I don't think that's the same kind of confidence some walk in .. seem different things...
Yakuzza Lethecus: the problem with me is that i get stuck when i have doubts, i start circling the same thoughts and that´s unhealty
    Eliza Madrigal: fine distinctions perhaps
    Agatha Macbeth: True yaku

    Who's in control here?

Bruce Mowbray: @ Gaya: Are you holding the doubts, or are the doubts holding you?
Gaya Ethaniel: So what starts the circling may I ask?
    Pema Pera: nice question, Bruce!
    Storm Nordwind smiles
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Gaya Ethaniel: There are doubts and I'm nice to them :) I don't believe in them.
Strannik Zipper: I see that both crippling self-doubts and inflated ego in myself are part of the same imaginary self boundaries
Gaya Ethaniel: I know better what to do than their advices :P
Eden Haiku: What starts the circling is a wound from the past I would think...a groove...a sanskara...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Pema Pera: salesmen will have no grip on Eden and Gaya then :-)
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
    Bruce Mowbray thinks: Clesha?
Yakuzza Lethecus: There are many different triggers to different doubts and stucknesses i have, to talk about it and as soon as i can fully express what´s a trigger makes the trigger disappear sometimes

    Bruce Mowbray thinks: PTSD?
Gaya Ethaniel: Most of time no Pema :)
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Eden Haiku: HUm, yes Bruce.
    Agatha Macbeth googles PSTD
    Eliza Madrigal: PTSD...
Storm Nordwind lets Agatha Google PSTD
Bruce Mowbray: Should be PTSD - - - sorry.
Strannik Zipper: @Bruce - It think it has the same "threatened, backed into a corner" feeling
Gaya Ethaniel: So seeing stops the circling?
Agatha Macbeth: I'll google that then!
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh, right
    Eden Haiku: Post-Traumatic-Stress- Syndrom-Disease
Strannik Zipper: PTSD being more visceral and traumatic
Bruce Mowbray thinks: The memories our bodies hold.
Eliza Madrigal: for the record, PSTD comes up the same :)
    Agatha Macbeth: PTSSD Eden?
    Agatha Macbeth grins

    Safe environments and understanding people.

Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, and no, since there are complicated layers, one thing is that i don´t have any problems and stress as soon as i feel in an environment where i can talk about everything
Yakuzza Lethecus: and everything is taken seriously and ,,understood"
Strannik Zipper: it seems that in those cases, reaction takes over and awareness goes away
Yakuzza Lethecus: i mean i can tell my family everything but they don´t understand :)
    Pema Pera: :-0
Gaya Ethaniel: Taken seriously and understood by others you mean?
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed Yaku :)
Eden Haiku: True Yaku. Some environments make you feel safe.
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, it´s not even important that everything is understood by other ppl since i often don´t see my own thoughts clearly either
    Eden Haiku: ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: but being taken seriously and being able to explore thoughts and going over the edge of verbalizing those sometimes helps
Gaya Ethaniel: I can relate to you a bit Yaku because I used to feel bad when misunderstanding happens. I'm not too bothered about it anymore ... can't put my fingure on what's changed. The need to be understood has diminished over the time.
Storm Nordwind: Being with people who understand does help you understand yourself though - speaking from nearly a lifetime experience of the opposite!
    Eden Haiku: ;)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
Yakuzza Lethecus: actually i often notice in a open group like this that other ppl share my problems and i find answers while not being in the focus :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Hana Furlough: : )

Gaya Ethaniel: Just going back ... what starts the circling? Do any of you have similar experiences?
Eden Haiku: Don't feel shy Yaku, it is nice to have you talking and being theb focus for once ;)
Gaya Ethaniel: Getting caught ... etc
    Eliza Madrigal: oh indeed
Eden Haiku: indeed too Gaya ;)
Pema Pera: hard to know what starts it, Gaya, what stops it is for me often doing some kind of simple exercise
Eliza Madrigal: I'm always startled when it happens... usually see it afterward and feel embarrassed
Pema Pera: could be a simple sentence that speaks to me
Storm Nordwind: People circle with everything I think Gaya. It's like identifying with thoughts instead of letting them pass
Gaya Ethaniel: For me, it starts when I give too much credit to those thoughts as in engaging in the wrong way ... rather than engage as observing.
Eden Haiku: I experience the "circling" as falling into a black hole.
    vivian Rikios: heeey
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, vivian.
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Viv
    Hana Furlough: Hi Vivian
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes Storm :) Identifying rather than lettting them be.
Pema Pera: perhaps the most important function of the 9-sec breaks is that at least a few times an hour you get a direct change to break out of the circling ;>)
    Eden Haiku: Hi Vivian.
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Vivian :)
    Pema Pera: hi Vivian
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Vivian :)
    vivian Rikios: hello every one
Bruce Mowbray: The "circling" swamped me yesterday when I was doing the Time Session homework.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey vivian
    vivian Rikios: hello
Gaya Ethaniel: Indeed Pema, 9 sec taken up seriously and consistently can help.
    Pema Pera: what happened, Bruce?
Bruce Mowbray: Pitch yer tent in the front row, vivian.
Bruce Mowbray: Oh -- I recorded it all in the notes. . . not to side-track the dialogue here.

    The power of blueberries.

Eden Haiku: This morning, taking a walk I edged a black hole on a train of thoughts. What broke the spell is a bush of blueberries: I started picking some and the taste carried me away from the dark.
Strannik Zipper: As for the PTSD, modern therapy involves gradual exposure to the things causing the stress reaction, - a slow reintroduction of those things with awareness, so that one gets used to the stressors in a new light, and stop reacting
Agatha Macbeth: ?me smiles @ Edie
Pema Pera visualizes a complete anime, with the elements of that one sentence by Eden . . . .
Gaya Ethaniel: So I ask ... what makes it so difficult to just stop and pause ... instead one goes on circling.
Gaya Ethaniel: It's only 9 sec after all :P
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Hana Furlough: but if you do it over and over again...
Eden Haiku: Really enjoyed your report Bruce. Blurb, blurb: I'm sure Blub helped you write it ;))
    Pema Pera: :)
Bruce Mowbray: There's a excellent support group in SL for PTSD survivors -- "Fearless Nation."
Gaya Ethaniel: But one has to start somewhere ... despite being in a habit of going around and around.
    Bruce Mowbray: Thank you, Eden.
Gaya Ethaniel: Keep putting a foot in the door ...
Bruce Mowbray: I can give out LM's for it, if someone is interested (Fearless Nation, that is).
Strannik Zipper: it is hard to remember things to do when one is in the middle of reacting
    vivian Rikios: i am
Agatha Macbeth: Is that in SL Bruce?
Strannik Zipper: I found it helpful to simply stop everything and just observe what was going on inside
Eden Haiku: Yes, I would like the link for Fearless nation, can't find it in search BRuce
Bruce Mowbray: Yes. Here's an LM for you, aggs.
    Agatha Macbeth: Thanks :)
Gaya Ethaniel: vivian, you're sitting on Strannik ... :)
vivian Rikios: thnx all of u have good luck oh well byee
    Eden Haiku: Thanks.
    Storm Nordwind waves
    Agatha Macbeth: (Looks interesting)
    Gaya Ethaniel: Bye :)
    Pema Pera: bye Vivian
    Hana Furlough: Bye, Vivian
    Agatha Macbeth: Byee
Strannik Zipper: I was trying not to complain ;-)
Bruce Mowbray: Come back when you can, viv.
    Gaya Ethaniel: ^^;;;
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder why she didn't sit on me
Bruce Mowbray: Looked to me like you were enjoying it, Stran.
    Gaya Ethaniel: lo0l
    Eden Haiku: Bye Vivian
Strannik Zipper: I was trying not to enjoy it either ;-)
    Gaya Ethaniel: lol* not o0
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Agatha Macbeth grinz
Gaya Ethaniel: I think I had this talk with Eliza a while ago ...
Bruce Mowbray: while we're on the subject, if anyone else wants an LM for Fearless Nation, please let me know.

Awareness of circling and of who is watching the circling.

Eden Haiku: @Gaya. Maybe the first step out of circling is being aware one is circling?
Gaya Ethaniel: One can drag the horse to a waterhole but can't make it drink - think that was a part of the conclusion.
    Eden Haiku: *circling
Pema Pera: perhaps you can just add the slurl to the chat log, by typing it, Bruce?
Pema Pera: so that others not present today can also find it
    Bruce Mowbray: I will try.
Gaya Ethaniel: mhm I think so Eden.
    Strannik Zipper: @Eden - yes!
    Eliza Madrigal smiles @ Gaya...
Pema Pera: (if you first go to your browser, you can then cut at paste it from there)
    Bruce Mowbray: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Bhadra%20Chana/59/79/60
Eden Haiku: Then, from there, somehow, your right brain will kick in and bring the necessary endorphins...
Eliza Madrigal: am pouring through the files of our many wonderful talks...
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eden Haiku: In EMDR sessions (for PTSD), one often ends up dancing...;)
Storm Nordwind: Being aware of the circling. Noticing that you're observing it. And in order to observe it noticing that perhaps it's separate from you. Then wondering perhaps what's watching the circling. Very like some forms of meditation. :)

    Blueberries revisited.

Agatha Macbeth: I'll remember the blueberries Eden :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: Sounds fun :)
    Pema Pera: (thanks, Bruce!)
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, "What is watching this 'circling?'"
Pema Pera: meditation with blueberries as desert . . . .
    Agatha Macbeth: Sounds good
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, but maybe Gaya... hm, we talked a little about environments... that it isn't always possible to 'catch it' right there, but yes with that 'gentle distance' of noticing can begin to change environment a bit...
Eliza Madrigal: so less likely to miss it next time :)
Eden Haiku: Being in "circling" (or what I call the black hole) feels like being trapped in time doesn't Gaya? Like you have bee there forever and it will last forever?
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Yakuzza Lethecus: yes
Agatha Macbeth: Unless you have blueberries of course...
    Eliza Madrigal adores blueberries
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Pema Pera: don't drop them in the black holes, though
Strannik Zipper: antioxident superfood, of course!
Gaya Ethaniel: I agree, it would feel like trapped, squashed.
Eden Haiku: Once I was in a black hole, years ago, a friend told be: "It is temporary". That really helps. I tell this to myself when it happens, when I remember ;)
Agatha Macbeth: Would a blueberry in a black hole find an Event Horizon...
    Eliza Madrigal: hehehe
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Eliza Madrigal nods @ Eden 'this too will pass'
    Storm Nordwind nods
Strannik Zipper: the opposite of Violet Beauregard - and expanding blueberry
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
    Agatha Macbeth: And Augustus Gloop
    Strannik Zipper: chocolate dipped blueberries!

More space and reading material at the Village Pub.

Pema Pera: btw, Storm, I visited the Village Pub, and saw the improvements you had made; even more spacy now, with the backdoor closed; nice balance between the slightly darker `comfort' pub atmosphere and the spatial opennes.
Eden Haiku: ::::::Circling in self-doubts::::::We share blueberries rubies::::::And leap out with joy
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: :))
Storm Nordwind: Thank you Pema. That was to accomodate the wonderful library we have there now, thanks to Sharon :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Strannik Zipper: :)))
Pema Pera: yes, that was a great idea, and great implementation, by Sharon!
Agatha Macbeth: Yay, good old SSL
Eden Haiku: Waving to SophiaSharon on her camping trip!
Eliza Madrigal: lovely job by Sharon
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder if she's wearing her top hat
    Gaya Ethaniel: heh :)
Eliza Madrigal: :::waves to Sharon :::: am sure she's in the hat ;-)
    Eden Haiku: hehe
Eden Haiku: A rabbit in a hat...
Agatha Macbeth: The cat in the hat?
Hana Furlough: i should get going
Hana Furlough: thanks for chatting everyone~
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Hana, nice to see you :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: take care hana
Agatha Macbeth: Go for it Hana :)
    Pema Pera: bye Hana!
    Eden Haiku: Bye Hana :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Anyway ... thanks everyone for sharing your thoguhts. I think ultimately one has to do something sort of practice. Conclusion, the end.
    Strannik Zipper: Cheers Hana
    Gaya Ethaniel: Bye Hana :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Practice makes perfect
    Gaya Ethaniel: We can't make others to do the practice for course ^^;;;
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh Gaya
Yakuzza Lethecus: but how to keep pracices fresh ?
Yakuzza Lethecus: do them differently everytime ?
Yakuzza Lethecus: sitting in a different position every time ?
Agatha Macbeth: Put them in the fridge
Eden Haiku: Thank you for sharing Gaya :) Interesting topic ;)
Eliza Madrigal: notice it is already diff each time
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes thx gaya
Strannik Zipper: Do them when they are the least convenient
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Bruce Mowbray: Thanks for your courage, Gaya.

At around this point I spied a visitor and old friend wandering around the Lhakhang and prayer wheels on my guardian plot, 80 metres northwest of the Play as Being pavilion, and I let her know where we were. She joins us.

    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Dakini :))
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Dakini :)
    Pema Pera: hi Dakini !!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Dakini :)))
    Dakini Rhode: hi :-D
Bruce Mowbray: Top o' the mornin' to ye, Dakini!
Dakini Rhode: ty :) happy coincidence finding you all here
    Pema Pera: :-)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Serendip
Gaya Ethaniel: Due to the combination of age [can't be bothered] and some practice, I'm getting more confident :)
    Dakini Rhode: exact :)
    Storm Nordwind smiles at Gaya
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Agatha Macbeth: It all helps Gaya ;-)
Eden Haiku: Hi Dakini...you are invisible to me...:)
Dakini Rhode: hope i clear up :)
Bruce Mowbray: You look fine to me, Dak.
    Eden Haiku: ;)
    Dakini Rhode: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Me too
Gaya Ethaniel: I see Dakini ok :)
Eliza Madrigal sees Dakini... cute yellow shirt...
Gaya Ethaniel: No skull necklace ...
    Agatha Macbeth: Or gold...
Eden Haiku: Oh yes, I see you now :))
Eliza Madrigal: ah, yes, closer and its goldish ...
Pema Pera: and long orange hair is quickly become the fashion . . . .
Eden Haiku: Everyone is copycatting you it seems Pema :)
Dakini Rhode: you're the trendsetter, Pema
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Agatha Macbeth coughs. Mine is *red*
    Eliza Madrigal: :))

    A little scriptural silliness.

Pema Pera: well, it started with you, Dakini: before there was this pavilion there was Dakini's pavilion, and before that there was Dakini's tea house; in the beginning was Dakini :-)
Dakini Rhode: lol i think mine is a shade of auburn
    Dakini Rhode: :)
Strannik Zipper: I got mine at the Pema hair store
Dakini Rhode: haven't been here for so long.... happy to see you folks !
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
Agatha Macbeth: Happy to see you too :)
Bruce Mowbray: And the PaBers said, "It is Good."
Dakini Rhode: i hope you continue with your previous chat...
    Pema Pera: :-)
    Pema Pera: and Dakini rested
Agatha Macbeth: And the Pabers were right!
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Dakini Rhode: rested!!! haha
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Storm Nordwind: At least not a-rested :)
Strannik Zipper: and then we ate the blueberry of knowledge
    Bruce Mowbray: . . . and on the EIGHTH day. . .
    Agatha Macbeth groans
    Pema Pera: eight lords a-leaping?
    Agatha Macbeth: Probably
Agatha Macbeth: Eight days a week
    Pema Pera: hahaha
Bruce Mowbray: So then, we're all "out" of Paradise? Or what?
Eden Haiku: My friend just arrived from the little store on the road. I asked: "Did you buy blueberries?" (He doesn't like them but I do)" He said yes! Would you like some with fresh cream anyone?
Pema Pera: we'll have to call Paradise in . . .
Agatha Macbeth: Paradise isn't here :)
Agatha Macbeth: But we do have eden :)
    Pema Pera raises hand
    Pema Pera: @ Eden
    Bruce Mowbray: That's WONDERFUL, Eden!

    Some departures.

Dakini Rhode: Where do you live, Eden -- and what a nice friend
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh My....
Pema Pera: a few hours driving from where you are, Dakini, they may just keep a few for you!
Eden Haiku: There going to be virtual-blueberries in a virtual world, as I don't have the prims in inventories..:)
Gaya Ethaniel: TIme to go ... I hope the session will be helpful for that someone I talkd to. Enjoy your day!
Storm Nordwind: Great to see you Gaya :)
Agatha Macbeth: Bye Gaya, take care :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye gaya
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Gaya :)
    Strannik Zipper: cheers Gaya
    Pema Pera: bye Gaya!
Eden Haiku: I live in Quebec Dakini, in the countryside for the summer, laurentian mountains...:) And my friend is telling me they are form the nearby village. Just ate a few: tiny yet yummy...Bye Gaya :)
Pema Pera thinking about going to get some berries too . . .
    Pema Pera: see y;all !
Agatha Macbeth: Enjoy your berries Pem :)
    Storm Nordwind waves
    Eden Haiku: Bye Pema :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Pema :)
Bruce Mowbray: Good day to you, Pema.
Dakini Rhode: ah! i little bit of a long drive, enjoying your delight
    Strannik Zipper: Cheers Pema!
    Dakini Rhode: bye Pema

Eden Haiku: Where do you live in USA Dakini?
Dakini Rhode: i do -- in the northeast
    Dakini Rhode: hot, here
Eden Haiku: Hair is from a link Gaya gave me (not Gaga!) :)))
Agatha Macbeth: Seems to be hot everywhere right now
Agatha Macbeth: In N. hemisphere that is ;-)
Eden Haiku: Here it is perfect: 24, sunny, no humidity!
Storm Nordwind: Not here. A restful 73 this morning. Too humid though.
Agatha Macbeth: Not too bad here, around 20 C
Dakini Rhode: 90's or high 80's here (F) for weeks
Eden Haiku: Read that the weather everywhere has been hotter than ever for the last 5 years.
    Agatha Macbeth: Ouch
Eden Haiku: We wil wake up one day with a huge problem.
Dakini Rhode: only 78 now, cool morning
    Agatha Macbeth: wb Bruce
Eden Haiku: hey Bruce, forgot something?
Bruce Mowbray: Hi -- sorry for the interruption but,
Dakini Rhode: i was nearish to you , Storm, last month in Crestone
Storm Nordwind: You can always drop in Dakini. It's only a 4 hour drive :)

    Storm Nordwind: Thanks Bruce!
Agatha Macbeth: Hang on, let me try it...

    Agatha goes whoosh.

Eden Haiku: Ah, thank you so much Bruce :))
Bruce Mowbray: OK. Gotta go again. See you folks later.

    Dakini Rhode: haha yes :)
Dakini Rhode: and Thrangu - oh my
Dakini Rhode: i've come home with his publishing company
Dakini Rhode: i need to learn to publish books
Storm Nordwind: I think several of us do!
Agatha Macbeth: Didn't seem to be any probs
    Dakini Rhode: wonderful!
Agatha Macbeth: Oh he's gone again...
Eden Haiku: Oh Agathita, you are back ;) I was sorry I missed saying goodbye :)
    Dakini Rhode: wb Agatha :)

Agatha returns and all she can see is my hair. So of course I had to remove the hair, and to add to the confusion, replace it, take it off, replace it, take it off, recolor it...

Agatha Macbeth: Just checking out that place bruce was on about
Agatha Macbeth: Mm, I see Storm's hair and nothing more
    Agatha Macbeth: Strange
Agatha Macbeth: Now he's gone altogether
Agatha Macbeth watches Storm winking in and out
    Storm Nordwind is playing :)
Dakini Rhode: there's always that question... which one of you is gone?
Storm Nordwind: I am definitely not here
Eden Haiku: His hair is vanishing..and reapparing. @Dakini, about publishing, had a link to a podcast about it by Steh Godin,,, Haven't listened to it yet,,,
Agatha Macbeth: Well your hair is
    Dakini Rhode: wonderful, Eden
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, his tag's still there tho
Agatha Macbeth: How long is it since you last came here Dakini?
Dakini Rhode: i don't even know, Agatha
Agatha Macbeth: I think it's been a while
    Dakini Rhode: definitely a while
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Dakini Rhode: checking for good hair
Eden Haiku: Name is Seth Godin. Can't find the link now...Looking it up on iPad...
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
Eden Haiku: Brown haired Storm, looking so different :))
Dakini Rhode: interesting what a difference the "hair" makes
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes, doesn't it!!
Eden Haiku: I like blond men :))
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Eden Haiku: Darker hair men are a bit frightening, even as avatars...:)
    Eden Haiku: Ah!!!
Storm Nordwind recalls it's a long time since his hair was dark in RL!

Dakini dons a rather unusual hairstyle.

    Agatha Macbeth: Wow, nice curlers
Eden Haiku: Dakini is having her hair on rollers!!!
    Storm Nordwind: or grenades
Eden Haiku: Next thing we know, she will be all curly!!
Dakini Rhode: lol look closely at those rollers
    Agatha Macbeth looks closely
Dakini Rhode: it seems i'm armed
    Agatha Macbeth: The big bang?
Eden Haiku: A time-Bomb she is!!!
    Dakini Rhode: haha
Eden Haiku: You have a beautiful face Dakini :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Exploding hair eh?
Storm Nordwind: I knew someone else called Ahmed
Dakini Rhode: ty -- this was a free skin -- YS & YS
    Agatha Macbeth: (Non sequitur?)
Storm Nordwind: The skin is wonderful and freckly Dakini. I very much like it
Agatha Macbeth makes a note of YS & YS
Dakini Rhode: i'll show you what i really like about it-- it has hair painted on
Agatha Macbeth: Looks like a Pulse skin actually
    Storm Nordwind: Even better!
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
    Storm Nordwind: Stunning
Eden Haiku: It is like we are playing with our brand new Barbie. Even if she is an old-timer, she loks like a brand new toy for newcomers :))
    Dakini Rhode: instant buddhist nun
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
    Storm Nordwind recalls Blake's 7 ;)
    Dakini Rhode: :-)
    Agatha Macbeth: Servalan?
Eden Haiku: +Did you know they made a Barbie with a LCD screen on her vack and a camera on her chest in RL?
    Storm Nordwind: yes Agatha!
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Dakini Rhode: eden that's so funny -- why on earth?
    Agatha Macbeth: Why indeed?
Eden Haiku: Quite a cleavage for a buddhist nun though...
Agatha Macbeth: I'm sure they must have cleavage
    Dakini Rhode: ohoh
Dakini Rhode: hey it's hot out

Dakini puts on a chest covering scarf.

    Storm Nordwind is disappointed now
    Agatha Macbeth: Why disappointed?
Eden Haiku: That's the problem with these instant news on Flipboard, I can't remember what the new Barbie is for..A kind of contest or test ... I was'nt offended Dakini, please, take the scard off for Storms's sake...at least :)
Dakini Rhode: lol can't please everyone :)
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
    Agatha Macbeth: Or anyone?
Eden Haiku: How do you have your nails done in SL? They are great!
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, they are nice
Dakini Rhode: o these are free too -- let me see -- PurpleMoon Creations
    Agatha Macbeth: Whoa
Dakini Rhode: such creativity in the SL fashion world -- stuff for the barbies, you know
    Agatha Macbeth: And the Cindies
    Dakini Rhode: :)
Eden Haiku: Thanks, taking a note. We should go tho the nail salon together Aga :)
Agatha Macbeth: It's the Action Men you need to worry about ;-)
Dakini Rhode: lol those are fun too
Agatha Macbeth: 'Action Man gets his nails done'
    Eden Haiku: ;)))
Agatha Macbeth: And joins the Navy....

    Appearance and building skills.

Dakini Rhode: one thing SL has helped me learn is that the appearance is a fun display, but also to look beyond it
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: More than skin deep
Eden Haiku: As I have been trying my budding building skills lately, I discovered that there are leaps suddenly.
    Agatha Macbeth: Leaps?
    Storm Nordwind: rather than bounds?
    Agatha Macbeth: Or both...
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Eden Haiku: Something that seems impossible, seems suddenly possible? Bounds might me a better word...
Eden Haiku: Like a learning curve?
Agatha Macbeth hasn't got round to building yet
Eden Haiku: And then it resonates elsewhere? In understanding, in writing...

    Eden's dream.

Eden Haiku: I had a dream last night.
Agatha Macbeth: Should I ring Maxine?
Eden Haiku: Went to sleep after reading a long marvelous post on "narrative fractals",
Dakini Rhode: haha i love dream work :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
Eden Haiku: In the dream, I was meeting up someone from the narrative fractals discussion, some indistinct member.
Eden Haiku: And I was pronuncing "narrative fractals" in a wrong way. Like maybe " fractales narratives" as I would say in French.
Eden Haiku: I felt awkward and incompetent :) Buti t felt ok at the same time.
adoro Rhapsody: just a few minutes
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Adoro
    adoro Rhapsody: dropping by
    Dakini Rhode: waving to adoro
    Storm Nordwind waves
    Eden Haiku: HI Adoro.
    adoro Rhapsody: hi
adoro Rhapsody: sorry for interupting go on
    adoro Rhapsody: plse
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Adoro :)
Eden Haiku: I just finished sharing a dream, you are not interrupting anything Adoro ;)
    Eden Haiku: Oh, he's gone...
Dakini Rhode: while you dreamt did you know you were dreaming?
Eden Haiku: Just a cameo appearance :)
Agatha Macbeth: Sry, didn't know you were finished :)
Eden Haiku: I think I did...
Eden Haiku: But t felt real also.
    Agatha Macbeth: Lucid Eden...

    Stages of learning.

Storm Nordwind: I was just thinking of the learning process - which is interesting. First you are unaware and are unconsciously incompetent. Then you become aware and are consciously incompetent. Then you learn and become consciously competent. Then you master and become unconsciously competent.
Agatha Macbeth: I don't think it's that simple Stormy :)
Eden Haiku: That is beautiful Storm!
    Agatha Macbeth: Although...
Dakini Rhode: 4 stages of learning?
Eden Haiku: It reminds me what happens when you scale a prim: we are somehere on the scaling rule, either at the beginning as a tiny prim or at the end as a master-prim!
Storm Nordwind: very often Dakni. Though it's sometimes possible to short-cut them
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Dakini Rhode: at my age, i think i regress them
    Storm Nordwind smiles
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
    Eden Haiku: giggles

    Stages of unlearning.

Dakini Rhode: 4 stages of unlearning
Eden Haiku: Feels good regressing Dak?
Dakini Rhode: well the thing is, you don't know you're doing it
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
Eden Haiku: Let the little children come to me ;))
Storm Nordwind: As you get older, your memory is the second thing that goes ;)
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha!
    Eden Haiku: ;)
Dakini Rhode: haha at least i remember that OLD joke
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, mine is going already
Dakini Rhode: i'm caring for my dad presently... quite a learning experience
    Dakini Rhode: well, for me...
    Dakini Rhode: watching him unlearn
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Eden Haiku: Made a video at my father's 86th birthday and showed him the video a week later. He didn't remember we had a birthday party but acknowledged we did as there was a video! Really strange. He functions very well yet is short-term memory is not what it used to be.
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
Dakini Rhode: my dad is 89... i could tell you stories... omy
    Agatha Macbeth: I'll bet...
Eden Haiku: Oh Dakini...is he is still in good health?
Dakini Rhode: his body is strong, he has good habits, health probs but they don't bother him, very little short term memory and some cognitive deficits
Dakini Rhode: pleasant disposition, very unlike his earlier personality
Agatha Macbeth: Getting older changes us all
Eden Haiku: That sweet change (easier personality) also happened with my dad. Pleasant surprise!
    Dakini Rhode: loss of testosterone?

What are we? Soup? What kind?

Storm Nordwind: Makes me wonder what it is that we are. Are we the sum of our memories as some people say? Or something else?
Dakini Rhode: yes, it is a sweet surprise
Dakini Rhode: it's a soup, i think, storm
    Agatha Macbeth: Pot-pourri?
    Dakini Rhode: causes and conditions
Eden Haiku: Yes, might be... less testoterone.
Eden Haiku: A soup, yes, I think we are soups :))
Agatha Macbeth checks her testosterone levels
Storm Nordwind: soup with bits in ;)
    Agatha Macbeth: Gumbo
Eden Haiku: Alpha bits or omega bits?
Agatha Macbeth: Or is it Jambalaya?
    Eden Haiku: jabberwalkers?
    Agatha Macbeth: Jabberwocky?
    Eden Haiku: Yes, jabberwocky...
Dakini Rhode: i think about the fact that our bodies, what we call our bodies, are host to so many bacteria and other beings, there are more of them than there are cells in the body
    Agatha Macbeth: 'Twas brillig, tc...
Storm Nordwind: We are animated yoghurt?
Dakini Rhode: so i think when i have a thought, is it "me" or is it "them"?
Dakini Rhode: boggles the mind storm
Eden Haiku: Aaarghr... don't like to think about bacterias...
Agatha Macbeth: The bacteria have taken over the asylum
    Storm Nordwind laughs
    Dakini Rhode: lol
Eden Haiku: I can get very obsessive when I start thinking about germs :))
Dakini Rhode: befriend your bacteria :)
Eden Haiku: Comebacks from India sometimes :))
Storm Nordwind: make them work for you
    Dakini Rhode: feed them chocolates

    Time to break up.

Agatha Macbeth: Ah well, I must move on or I'll get nothing done today (again!)
Eden Haiku: Watching my boyfriend closely as he washes vegetables...
Storm Nordwind: Better than washing your boyfriend while he watches vegetables I guess ;)
Agatha Macbeth: Bye Storm, Edie. Nice to meet you dakini...take care
    Storm Nordwind waves
Dakini Rhode: bye agatha, nice meeting :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, me too I should move on... Storm may I ask you a question about tinies here?
Storm Nordwind: perhaps we should move away.. :)
Storm Nordwind: Great to see you again Dakini. Do visit more often!
Eden Haiku: Hum, yes, would you like to join us Dakini? We are building a puzzle for the Art of Being project...
Storm Nordwind: And my lhakhang is always open!
Dakini Rhode: good to see you both, yes storm, i want to see the lhakhang and then i really should be going (rl)
    Dakini Rhode: good meeting, Eden
Eden Haiku: getting my headset, will be right back...really nice to meet you in person Dakini!

Eden and I go to my guardian plot for a two hour building tutorial.
