The Guardian for this meeting was Bertram Jacobus. The comments are by Bertram Jacobus.

    Yakuzza Lethecus: guten morgen
Bertram Jacobus: good morning ! :-)
    --BELL--
    Bertram Jacobus: hey arch :-)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey arch
    Calvino Rabeni: Good day :)
Bertram Jacobus: hey cal ! :-)
    Archmage Atlantis: Hi Cal :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi cal
Archmage Atlantis: Is it international Popeye rembrancd day, Cal? *g*
Archmage Atlantis: That is probably to obscure a reference
Calvino Rabeni: I had to substitute artichokes for spinach, which is out of season
    Archmage Atlantis: :)
Calvino Rabeni: The unlikely thing is the Sailor would probably never encounter a burning bush
Archmage Atlantis: I think the spinach always was from a can in the past......the local foods movement is playing havoc with the literary reverenences :)
    Calvino Rabeni: Indeed
Archmage Atlantis: Anyway, burning brush fires are more likely than a single burning bush nowadays
Calvino Rabeni: And literary mentions are much less likely to be reverential
Archmage Atlantis: Obviiously I am in a silly mood this morning........I'll try to be serious and play according to the rules
    Archmage Atlantis: :)
Calvino Rabeni: I went to a bookstore today and walked around in it
Calvino Rabeni: I wonder how many books I noticed and could remember
Calvino Rabeni: not that it's necessary
Calvino Rabeni: I'm just curious about the phenomenon of Memory
    --BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: An interesting thought, Cal.......do you have a statistic to report?
Calvino Rabeni: No, my memory does not have a counter built in, it's more photographic
Calvino Rabeni: Slum Dogs of India
Calvino Rabeni: The Shallows - a book about what internet does to our minds
Calvino Rabeni: Hamlet's Blackberry - about being contemplative in the age of media
    Bertram Jacobus: sounds interesting ...
Calvino Rabeni: The Age of ... hmmm something like .. yes, Wonder
Calvino Rabeni: which was a history of the second scientific revolution
Archmage Atlantis: I like the title "Hamlet
Bertram Jacobus: arch ? your voice makes heavy sounds (?) ...
Calvino Rabeni: A whole row of cooking books, all with a woman smiling on the cover
    Archmage Atlantis: s Bberry
Calvino Rabeni: "What Dogs Can Do"
Calvino Rabeni: I've mostly forgotten the things that weren't interesting
Archmage Atlantis: not that i can hear Bertram
Calvino Rabeni: So I guess memory isn't like photographc
Calvino Rabeni: A table of latina american fiction paperbacks
Bertram Jacobus: there are different stages of memory ...
Calvino Rabeni: I guess that's Arch's sound bubble
Archmage Atlantis: Was this a chain bookstore, or an independent?
    Calvino Rabeni: Independent
Calvino Rabeni: It is called Third Place Books
Calvino Rabeni: Named after a book about public hangouts
Calvino Rabeni: called The Great Good Place
Calvino Rabeni: It was interesting about memory, at the kira Dream workshop presentation by Fox
Bertram Jacobus: it is said, that in hypnosis all could be recalled - also for example what cake you had on your third birthday. don´t know, whether that is correct (?) - and some spiritual texts say the same : there were a sometimes so called "akasha memory" from which is said the same : all would be in there ...
Calvino Rabeni: They created a media lab version designed to create the experience of apparitions
Calvino Rabeni: and tracked for dream uptake in the following days
Calvino Rabeni: and found one the next night, then nothing for a while, then another group on the seventh night
Calvino Rabeni: Do you have any theories about the Akashic Records?
Calvino Rabeni: Actually I think all dreams are remembered, but it would be hard to prove
Calvino Rabeni: But the memory isn't necessarily like a film
Bertram Jacobus: me ? theories ? no, sry -
Archmage Atlantis: As far as hypnosis, I can't say as I have yet to yield to the process, though many have tried
Yakuzza Lethecus: i think that that is the case but the have to create enough connections to preserve it on a concious level
Yakuzza Lethecus: so that is already been proven when i remember right
Archmage Atlantis: Did the breathing sound stop? .... I turned everythng related to voice off that I know off
Calvino Rabeni: Your sound does not appear to be on anymore
    --BELL--
    Yakuzza Lethecus: darthmage atlantis ?
Archmage Atlantis: *chuckle* - never been to a Star Wars convention, saw all the movies tho........I suppose I'm old enough now to play the part of Darth :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey zaldaan
    Archmage Atlantis: Hello Zaldaan
    Bertram Jacobus: hi zaldaan
    Zaldaan Sirnah: hi
Calvino Rabeni: I remember this movie called "Zatoichi vs Yojimbo" which predates Star Wars
Archmage Atlantis: I have a question about posting the PaB logs.....if anyone knows......I can't see any logs posted after 6/3/10.......did access to the logs change around then?
Calvino Rabeni: The mythology kept bouncing back and forth between Toyko and Hollywood
Calvino Rabeni: Maybe your looking at the old wiki
Archmage Atlantis: That would be it
Archmage Atlantis: I didn't know there was a new one
Archmage Atlantis: Missed that notice, didn't get the t-shirt
Bertram Jacobus: the new one is here : http://wiki.playasbeing.org/
    Archmage Atlantis: tks Bertram
    Bertram Jacobus: yw arch
Calvino Rabeni: People watching in cafe's can be a kind of contemplation
    Zaldaan Sirnah: bbl
Calvino Rabeni: I saw a woman walking fast from her table - took me a while to figure out she had spilled someething
    Calvino Rabeni: by indirect observation
Bertram Jacobus: may be it´s impossible to obeserve all which surrounds us ...
    Bertram Jacobus: observe*
Calvino Rabeni: no argument there :)
    Bertram Jacobus: i like experiences ... ;-)
Calvino Rabeni: But it's interesting how much imagination is involved in it
Archmage Atlantis: I would think that even someone with a "photographic" memory would not be able to be conciously aware of all that is photographed
Bertram Jacobus: yes : already many years ago it was to be heared from the psychologists that the amount of imagination was bigger then the amount of obeservations
    Archmage Atlantis: True Cal
Calvino Rabeni: That makes sense Bert
Bertram Jacobus: observations* ! (tz, same typo again - why!?) ;-)
Bertram Jacobus: i think the same arch, because my impression is that what surrounds us, may be unbounded ...
Archmage Atlantis: Do all things, such as typos, have meaning.....and if they do, are all meanings of equal value to each individual?
Bertram Jacobus: and may be infinity may not to be observed completely ... (?)
Bertram Jacobus: may depend on the view arch (value etc) (?)
Archmage Atlantis: I believe that is part of the essence of infinity
    Calvino Rabeni: Value?
Bertram Jacobus: which part you mean plz arch ? didn´t get that
    --BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: Part of the essence of infinity is that it is beyond finite.......thus, it is by definition more than can be gathered into a finite number of observations, as there is always something else beyond
Archmage Atlantis: *I think this is where I take off the dark helmet"
Bertram Jacobus: but may be observation could also get developed into an infinite state (?)
Archmage Atlantis: That idea makes my mind feel like it's headed down the rabbit hole, or a black hole.....one or the other :)
    Bertram Jacobus: "okay" :o)
Archmage Atlantis: 2 thinks said earlier caught the edge of my thoughts.....first, the reference to the movie ""Zatoichi vs Yojimbo" and second "created a media lab version designed to create the experience of apparitions".......both seem interesting
    Archmage Atlantis: *thoughts not thinks
Archmage Atlantis: If typos have meaning......I am surely a great prophet *chuckle*
Archmage Atlantis: (That was humor, or at least an attempt at it)
    Archmage Atlantis: :)
Bertram Jacobus: sry - can´t react on those 2 thoughts ... don´t understand them ... not bad for me, but hope not bad for you too - and typos and meaning ... hm , yes ;-)
Archmage Atlantis: Nope, not bad at all.....
    Bertram Jacobus: ty. great
Calvino Rabeni: Meaning seems more interesting, somehow, than the movie reference
Calvino Rabeni: The media lab experiment was designed to create those strange experiences
    --BELL--
Calvino Rabeni: like a "presense" of an "entity" nearby while a person is unable to move - a common kind of sleep disturbance that is not recognized as common
    Archmage Atlantis: Interesting, Cal
Bertram Jacobus: i´ll take a time off now - ty for the companionship and the talk - have a good time and may all beings be happy plz ! ...
Calvino Rabeni: Traditional interpretations include devils, alien abductions, succubi, spirit entities, and other ideas
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye bert
    Archmage Atlantis: Bye Bertram
Calvino Rabeni: :) Bert - be well, don't take that creepy note with you :)
Bertram Jacobus: all fine here . ty :-)
    Archmage Atlantis: Nice shorts, btw
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bfn everyone
    Calvino Rabeni: Bye Yaku
Archmage Atlantis: It is time to start morning chores,,,,TY you Yaku, Cal....
    Archmage Atlantis: Bye now
    Calvino Rabeni: :) Archmage
    Darren Islar: hey :)
Calvino Rabeni: Looking good, Darren :)
    Darren Islar: thanks
Darren Islar: so what were you doing here all by yourself?

That was not the complete session i think – don´t know why the autorecorder didn´t send it to me – sry …
