The Guardian for this meeting was Agatha Macbeth. The comments are by Agatha Macbeth. I arrived to find Wol already waiting.

    Agatha Macbeth: Hiya :))
    Wol Euler: hello
Agatha Macbeth turns off Fracture Radio
Wol Euler: how are you today?
Agatha Macbeth makes an 'iffy' gesture
    Wol Euler: huh, me too.
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
    Agatha Macbeth: How's work?
Wol Euler: pretty good, lots to do

    --BELL--(1300)

    Agatha Macbeth: That's good
    Wol Euler: oh yeah :)
Wol Euler: trouble is, we've taken care of all the small, easy problems already
    Agatha Macbeth: Oops
Wol Euler: what's left is the big, ugly, sticky ones
Agatha Macbeth: Nothing like a big ugly sticky one
    Wol Euler: heheh
Wol Euler: hard to get off your hands afterwards, though.
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: Yor connection seems pretty stable
Wol Euler: I'm on the laptop
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Wol Euler: it makes a huge difference to speed and stability
    Agatha Macbeth: How so?
Wol Euler: that this is a mac and the other a PC is surely only a random coincidence.
    Qt Core: Hi all
    Agatha Macbeth: 'Sera Qt :)
    Wol Euler: hello qt
Agatha Macbeth: Oh, I see :)
Wol Euler: seriously, I think it more likely that it's a line-of-sight issue, the laptop is on top of my desk and nearer to the windows
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
Agatha Macbeth: is the dongle-thingy usb connected?
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Agatha Macbeth: Should be pretty nifty then
Wol Euler: well, it sure beats the alternative :)

I get nagged by the Autologger for ignoring it
    Agatha Macbeth: oops
Agatha Macbeth: That's sitting here gabbling ;-)
    Wol Euler: heh
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe it would would even better out on the balcony?
Wol Euler: colder but better :)
Wol Euler: gotta be able to use my fingers
Agatha Macbeth: Put a coat on [grin]
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, I'm determined not to use the heating before October at the earliest
    Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: Kind of on principle
Wol Euler: the last few years I've done that, and have heated only the living room, kitchen and bathroom
Wol Euler: sleeping in a warm bed in a coldish room is actually very nice
    Qt Core: agree
Agatha Macbeth: As long as the bed's warm, that's the main thing
Wol Euler: I've noticed that I feel chilly when I get into bed, but I very quickly get to feeling toasty warm, much warmer than if the room itself were at a higher temperature
    Wol Euler: (is my impression)
Agatha Macbeth: You're hot stuff :p
    Wol Euler: true
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
Wol Euler: it runs in the family, my father is the same
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Wol Euler: when my mohter had to spend a night in the hospital once, she amazed the nurses by needing nearly a dozen blankets :)
Qt Core: i like (even if i can't fall asleep in this position) to stay on my back with the covers just under my nose
    Agatha Macbeth: Whoa
Wol Euler: my favourite too, qt
Agatha Macbeth: I have to be on my side to fall asleep
Wol Euler: though I can fall alseep like that tooo
Agatha Macbeth: Can't sleep on me back no way
    Wol Euler: hello bleu
Qt Core: i have to belly down for the first falling asleep, for the nexts in the same night whatever position is ok
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Bleu :)
    Qt Core: Hi Bleu
    Bleu Oleander: hi all :)
Agatha Macbeth: Can't sleep face down either
Agatha Macbeth: Has to be on one side or the other
    Wol Euler: little fusspot :)
Agatha Macbeth: I can't help it
Agatha Macbeth: And i usually draw my knees right up to my chest too
Qt Core: standard fetal position then ;-)
Wol Euler: we're talking about sleeping styles, bleu
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Wol Euler: brb
Bleu Oleander: in sl or rl?
Agatha Macbeth: Well RL for me
    Bleu Oleander: only kidding :)
Agatha Macbeth: Don't sleep much in SL ;-)
Qt Core: never ever thought about sleeping in sl
    Qt Core: ohhh ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: I usually just do the AFK flop
Qt Core: yes, beds in sl have other uses ;-)
Bleu Oleander: standard sl sleeping position
    Agatha Macbeth: They do?
    Bleu Oleander: ??
    Qt Core: so they say
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
    Bleu Oleander: uh huh
Agatha Macbeth: Can't say I can speak from experience on that one
Qt Core: i'm trying to imagine someone in rl typing with those kind of outfit, agatha
    Agatha Macbeth: Why? :)

    --BELL--(1315)

    Wol Euler: back
    Agatha Macbeth: Sh!
    Agatha Macbeth: wb :)
    Wol Euler: ty
Qt Core: the sleeves, agatha aren't they unconfortable for typing ?
Wol Euler: fresh raspberries and cream, mmmmmmmmmmmm.
    Agatha Macbeth: Er, not really
    Agatha Macbeth: Pardon Wol?
    Qt Core: Hi Zon
    Agatha Macbeth: Hiya Zon
    Zon Quar: hi all
    Bleu Oleander: hi Zon
    Wol Euler: I haz them.
    Bleu Oleander: no fair
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
    Wol Euler grins
Agatha Macbeth: No yogurt tonight then?
    Wol Euler: hello zon
Wol Euler: no, htat would be overkill
    Agatha Macbeth: Or fridgekill
    Wol Euler: :)
Agatha Macbeth: How's organising the retreat coming along?
Bleu Oleander: how many are going?
Wol Euler: we are down to six, alas.
    Qt Core: Hi Bruce
Agatha Macbeth: Six is a good little group
Wol Euler: it's nearly done, I just have to arrange transportation to and from the retreatery
Agatha Macbeth: I'm sure it will all go well :)
Wol Euler: but that will only be Pema, Eos and myself. The rest are driving.
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Brucie
Bleu Oleander: I think posting some photos would be nice after the retreats
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, aggers.
    Wol Euler: mmmmm, yes but.
    Bleu Oleander: hi Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Hi, everyone -- please continue with the chat...
Wol Euler: many people don't want to have their RL appearance identified with their av names
    Bleu Oleander: no faces/names
Wol Euler: well, the names of the retreaters are public
Bleu Oleander: an idea of the locations perhaps
Wol Euler: and one can pretty well guess who is whom
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Wol Euler: so the habit has developed that we don't post photos publicly
Bleu Oleander: to entice more participation maybe?
Wol Euler: which I thnk is a shame, though I understand and agree wtih those who don't want to be displayed
Agatha Macbeth: To be honest, I already know the RL apperance of a remarkable number of PaBers
Qt Core: but one pic of the place may be posted
Wol Euler: it's not about each other, but about google
    Bleu Oleander: google?
    Agatha Macbeth: The dreaded Google...
Wol Euler: as in "anything anywhere on the net is available to everybody on earth"
Bleu Oleander: search for images by name?
    Wol Euler: yep
Qt Core: the big brotherish google ... and its cache too!
Wol Euler: google is working on face recognition
Bleu Oleander: well hard to avoid
Bleu Oleander: but location pics might be nice
Wol Euler: so that you can get photos of anyone at all by googling their name
Qt Core: picasa has that bot in the client program and in the website too
Wol Euler: think how many people are identified by photos on facebook or flickr, for example
Agatha Macbeth: There's a fine line between freedom of information and privacy
Bleu Oleander: we post quite a few pics from our rl trips
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Yaku
    Qt Core: Hi Yaku
    Wol Euler: hello yaku
    Bleu Oleander: hey Yaku
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Yaku.
Wol Euler: oh, hello bruce, didn't see you arive
Yakuzza Lethecus: that´s funny i just talked to a friend about FB and that she doesn´t have FB but is also there through photos other ppl took from her and ,,identified ppl on the photo"
Agatha Macbeth: He snuck in :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: so ppl put in other ppl´s name´s as well
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Bleu Oleander: yes, hard to stay out of social media
Wol Euler: facebook has now allowed you to stop that, you can now refuse to have yourself identified by others in their photos
Agatha Macbeth: I find it quite easy Bleu ;-)
Bleu Oleander: where is that feature?
Wol Euler: it's buried deep in privacy, general heading "friends"
Yakuzza Lethecus: i was kinda confused when i saw that my real name shows up on the first google page when my SL name is searched
    Bleu Oleander: ah k thanks
    Wol Euler: O.O
    Wol Euler: that is worrying
Yakuzza Lethecus: only because through a migration of a webpage the name entrered was used for the profile name
Wol Euler: (I'd find it worrying)
Yakuzza Lethecus: while the public name is still yakuzza lethecus in that platform
Yakuzza Lethecus: they migrated and the profile names seem to be the name´s not the visible names
    Yakuzza Lethecus: all weired
Wol Euler: all my avs have their own mail accounts in their own names, to prevent that
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Yakuzza Lethecus: i do not really care usually but i always considered it fun that my real name wasn´t googleable but my sl name :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Ironic
Bleu Oleander: amazing ... just googled my sl name ... yikes ... didn't know so much comes up
    Wol Euler smiles.
Agatha Macbeth: Well, many of the PaB logs will show up straight off

    --BELL--(1330)

    Bleu Oleander: exactly
Qt Core: with mine you got all stuff it related (especially the qt graphical library) ;-)
    Qt Core: ops, sorry
Bleu Oleander: have to ask .... are any of you working on a photo for the current art exhibition?
Agatha Macbeth: I already have one, just keep forgetting to upload it :(
Wol Euler: no, sorry to say. When is hte deadline?
Bleu Oleander: if possible this week
Qt Core: have an idea but really hate to take pics in sl
Bleu Oleander: do you all like the art projects?
Agatha Macbeth: Do we just put them on the easels in the dome?
    Wol Euler: yes, I do.
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, ok ty
Bleu Oleander: what types of art projects would you like to see?
Agatha Macbeth: I love your 'Photo Rubik' Bleu
    Bleu Oleander: ty!
Qt Core: yes, but i always thought i am a comsumer, not a producer
Bruce Mowbray: The Rubik is fantastic.
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Bleu Oleander: ty Bruce
Agatha Macbeth: I have seen some really good art exhibitions in SL I must admit
Bleu Oleander: I want to schedule a session once everyone does their photos
Qt Core: maybe a critic, but it is too easy to critic without doing ;-)
Bleu Oleander: photos? scultures? what mediums do you like?
Agatha Macbeth: To paraphrase Oscar: 'Those who can do, those who can't criticise'
Bleu Oleander: those who can't criticise teach gym
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Agatha Macbeth: Teach Jim what?
    Wol Euler: :)
Bleu Oleander: Woody Allen quote, I think
Agatha Macbeth: 'For pity's sake Jim, I'm a doctor'
Qt Core: in sl, bleu ?
Wol Euler: well, I really love Bryn Oh's primwork, so emotionally loaded; but that takes more time and far more talent than most people have
Bleu Oleander: mediums in sl .... is that what you're asking?
Bleu Oleander: Bryn Oh is great
Qt Core: yes, if you was asking our favorite medium in sl or rl
    Wol Euler: and AM Radio
Bleu Oleander: not too many of us can do that
Agatha Macbeth: Is he the one who did the moaning columns?
Wol Euler: physical art, in other words, installations
    Bleu Oleander: or AM's
Wol Euler: no, that was somebody else. Name escapes me
    Agatha Macbeth: Ok
Wol Euler: AM did Far Away
Bleu Oleander: AM did a salon for us
    Wol Euler: ooooh
Bleu Oleander: his work is amazing
Wol Euler: he's on Flickr too
Agatha Macbeth: I listen to him all the time :p
Wol Euler thwaps you with a cushion
Agatha Macbeth: And his brother DAB
Agatha Macbeth will now stop being silly
Bleu Oleander: so many we could do some art installations in the square
Wol Euler: no you won't :)
    Wol Euler: (to Aggers)
    Agatha Macbeth: True...
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Storm hasn't started the rebuilding yet then?
Bleu Oleander: I think he has
Agatha Macbeth: Oh, I must take a look
Bleu Oleander: the pavillion has moved some
Bleu Oleander: my TP didn't work
Agatha Macbeth: This one you mean?
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Agatha Macbeth: Weird, it looks exactly the same position on my map
Bleu Oleander: I landed in a diff place
Wol Euler: htat happens to me too sometimes
Bleu Oleander: oh so maybe just a temp thing
Wol Euler: if you click on the landmark again, you usually land at the right spot
Agatha Macbeth: I nearly always fly in or walk :)
    Bleu Oleander: ah ok

    --BELL--(1345)

Yakuzza Lethecus sneaks out, good night!
    Wol Euler: 'night yaku
    Bleu Oleander: nite Yaku
Agatha Macbeth: Bye for now Yaku
Wol Euler: who posted the song lyrics by John Dowland yesterday? was that you aggers?
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes :)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Agatha Macbeth: Still makes a damn good poem
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Wol Euler: the music I'm listening to reminded me of him
Agatha Macbeth: Someone playing the lute?
Wol Euler: actually, no, totally unlike; but reminded me of him nonetheless :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, right
    Agatha Macbeth scratches head
    Wol Euler: http://www.amazon.de/Monodia-Kim-Kas.../dp/B0000A5BWU
    Agatha Macbeth: Rather Armenian-looking names
    Wol Euler: indeed, spot on.
    Wol Euler: well done.
Agatha Macbeth: Don't know them tho
Bleu Oleander: gtg .... bye all :)
Agatha Macbeth: Have you edited the poetry session log yet?
Wol Euler: bye bleu, take care
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Bleu
Wol Euler: no, I'll do that after this session
    Agatha Macbeth: Ok
Agatha Macbeth: I would imagine 'twill be a long one
Wol Euler: Mansurian and Kashkashian made another CD a few years before, which I like even better.
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Bleu.
    Agatha Macbeth: Called?
    Wol Euler: http://www.amazon.de/Hayren-Kim-Kash...dp/B00008UAFW/

Wol Euler: heheh, not a game, we are just discussing music (at the moment)
Wol Euler: right click on a cushion and select "sit" to sit down with us
Bruce Mowbray: I have just given you a notecard that explains what we're about, Frenchie.
Agatha Macbeth: I'll give you a notecard about us
Bruce Mowbray: I just did, aggers.

    Agatha Macbeth: As Being?
Bruce Mowbray: We also discuss many serious topics. . .
Bruce Mowbray: We Play as Being. . .
    Bruce Mowbray: None
Bruce Mowbray: If you were Being -- how would you play?
Bruce Mowbray: Quick, aggers, translate that into French for me.
    Agatha Macbeth: What?
Bruce Mowbray: If you were Being - How would you play?
Agatha Macbeth: Si tu es Being, comme tu jouerais?
