    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Liz :)
Eliza Madrigal: hmm... where to sit...
Riddle Sideways: not to put on another role at diff meeting
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Everyone :)
    Agatha Macbeth: On a cushion?

Eliza crosses the sim boundary and disappears
    Agatha Macbeth: Under the floor...
    Riddle Sideways: Hi Every Body
    Eliza Madrigal: sigh
Adams Rubble: We were talking about role playing at the session this morning and I transformed myself

    Into a llama!
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hello riddle
    Aphrodite Macbain: a handsome beast
    Zen Arado: Hi all
    Bleu Oleander: hi Zen
    Riddle Sideways: ty
    Lucinda Lavender: Hello all :)
Aphrodite Macbain: wish I could jump on your back and go for a ride
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hi Lucinda
Adams Rubble: Hello Zen, Lucinda and Eliza :)
Lucinda Lavender: Had a bit of a change in this scenery before sitting down
Aphrodite Macbain: how do you mean Luci?
Lucinda Lavender: half the room disappeared for a moment
Lucinda Lavender: when I sat over here tho it came back
Riddle Sideways: you are in the other region half of room
Adams Rubble: My hud is not picking up anyone in the other sim
    Lucinda Lavender: different region...
    Lucinda Lavender: ah
    Riddle Sideways: sim
    Agatha Macbeth: Split personality
Adams Rubble: I can relate to that Agatha
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yakity yak

Tech stuff rears it ugly head....
Aphrodite Macbain: Can someone tell me how to copy and paste a photograph (texture) from my library and put it into a wiki report?
    Zen Arado: wb Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'm having a lot of trouble in SL lately, sorry about that
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Liz
Riddle Sideways: you need it to your local/home computer first
Aphrodite Macbain: I have this great pic of Eliza as Eliza Doolittle
Adams Rubble: You have to upload it into your computer pauying the lindens $10L Aphrodite
Agatha Macbeth: Did she wash 'er 'ands and face?
Aphrodite Macbain: How do I copy it into my home computer?
Adams Rubble: best to always save photos to your hard drive
    Aphrodite Macbain: oh $L!
Eliza Madrigal: :) Would someone else mind posting the log today. I have to leave early to spend time with my son :)
Aphrodite Macbain: someone gave me this pic
Eliza Madrigal: yes, Alfred helped me to convert a file this morning... couldn't figure it out
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Agatha Macbeth: I'll do it Liz
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh My!
    Aphrodite Macbain: Alf :-)
    Eliza Madrigal: Lama Adams :))))
Qt Core: isn't the other way around, you have to pay to bring it on sl not to your pc ?
    Aphrodite Macbain: smart alpaca
Adams Rubble: have to pay both ways
stevenaia Michinaga: sure email me the log and I will post it
    Eliza Madrigal: hehehe
Eliza Madrigal: I'm fond of lamas and llamas
Qt Core: ohhh. showing again my ignorance ;-)
    Aphrodite Macbain: silly
Zen Arado: isn't there an 'Insert image' feature at the top of the edit page?
    Zen Arado: just use that
Aphrodite Macbain: yes. but it's getting the image from Sl that's tricky
Adams Rubble: yes but the image must be on your hard drive
Zen Arado: save it to your computer
Adams Rubble trying to remember how to do it
Aphrodite Macbain: yes. that's what I've found. So it has to be you that takes the pic and then you can do that
Zen Arado: it asks you where you want to save to
Lucinda Lavender: under the word build I see upload...
stevenaia Michinaga: save it to your hard disk to use it anywhere else other than SL
    Wol Euler: hello everyone
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Wol :))
Aphrodite Macbain: But I would be in the log-posting wiki
    Bleu Oleander: hi Wol :)
    Riddle Sideways: Hi Wol
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Wol
    Aphrodite Macbain: Wol, hello
    Zen Arado: hi Wol
Adams Rubble: I thinking we are looking to export
    Adams Rubble: Hi Wol
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Wol :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh goodness... I said that almost immediately when I walked in... just shows up now?
    Agatha Macbeth: ??
Aphrodite Macbain: Qt - you took the picture. Did you store it in your harddrive? the one with Eliza?
Bleu Oleander: sorry, can't stay today .... bye all :)
    Wol Euler: bye blue
    Adams Rubble: bye Bleu
    Wol Euler: *bleu
    Agatha Macbeth waves to Bleu
    Riddle Sideways: bye blu
    Zen Arado: bye Bleu
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Bleu :)
    Lucinda Lavender: another by Bleu
    Wol Euler: let's shift up
Eliza Madrigal: This line... I typed it right away but it didn't show up... so laggy:
Eliza Madrigal: [08:15] Eliza Madrigal: :) Would someone else mind posting the log today. I have to leave early to spend time with my son :)
Qt Core: no, but i just tried, went to the inventory and choosed save on the right click on a pic, it come to my pc free
    Agatha Macbeth: Symmetry?
    Wol Euler: closerness
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah yes, right
    Wol Euler smiles.
Eliza Madrigal: will try, but if SL boots her again... bye :)
Agatha Macbeth: I said I'd do it Liz :)
Adams Rubble: It is the "save texture as" command
Qt Core: don't know if it is as i'm the owner, try
    Adams Rubble: under File
stevenaia Michinaga: I saw it, Eliza, happy to if you send it to me
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, hello
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, thank you so so much Agatha :)
    Riddle Sideways: must we?
Eliza Madrigal: I think things are showing up out of order in my chat
Adams Rubble: You must have the image open first
Eliza Madrigal: but last I'll say about it for the sake of the flow of the session :)
stevenaia Michinaga: so we see things before you see them , or before you say them :)
    Eliza Madrigal: hahahha
    Adams Rubble: http://www.flickr.com/groups/lindenv...7594546736903/
    Agatha Macbeth: Time warp
Aphrodite Macbain: never mind - I'll figure it out. I'm sure there must be more important things to talk about todfay!
Riddle Sideways: do we not see things as you see them
Riddle Sideways: nope, nothing mo import
Adams Rubble: but best to save everything to your hard drive when you take the picture unless you definitely need it in SL. It costs nothing then
Wol Euler: you get a better resolution and image size when saving to hard disk too
Eliza Madrigal: Aphrodite, it is relevant of course.
    Wol Euler: (usually)
    Wol Euler: ooh, a llama
Agatha Macbeth: A two l llama
    Riddle Sideways: no thatz adams
    Wol Euler: not a dalai
Qt Core: speaking about pics and ignorance, after this someone could help me put up a pic (and notecard) for the art project, i haven't the palest idea ;-)
    Aphrodite Macbain: only one "l"
    Agatha Macbeth: What the L
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, Bleu would have been ideal to help Qt
    Aphrodite Macbain winks at Agatha
Eliza Madrigal: Both she and Storm have said any time they are online, IM them or email them
Agatha Macbeth: She just left tho
    Wol Euler: we can try
Aphrodite Macbain: I had 3 people helping me do it
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, and a hat... hahah
    Agatha Macbeth: Good grief
Qt Core: was the pic so heavy ?
Lucinda Lavender: Bleu helped me yesterday: ) She was great about that. I will help too tho I may forget sincince it is so new to me
Riddle Sideways: so.... we need the pic in SL inventory before putting on wall?
    Aphrodite Macbain: he he
    Wol Euler: yes
Wol Euler: anything you want to use in SL has to be in your inventory first
Aphrodite Macbain: no, I was really ignorant!
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Zen Arado: you have the pic as a texture in inventory and then just drag it onto the prepared canvas Qt
Agatha Macbeth: That's where the $10 rip off comes in
    Zen Arado: it's easy
Lucinda Lavender: and the photo I had taken was sent to the hard drive
Eliza Madrigal: okay. What I get so far is "If using on the wiki = save to hard drive." However, if using in SL, save as texture
Lucinda Lavender: and format 640 by 480
Riddle Sideways: ah mine are on hard drive too
Aphrodite Macbain: If it's in your hard drive it's free and easy
Qt Core: i've spent 20 L$ in less then 12 hours in pics... more than all my expoenses in a year :-)
Wol Euler: that's optional, depends on settings in your snapshot window
stevenaia Michinaga: yes Eliza, or pay to get the pic into SL
Adams Rubble: well, it costs $10L whether you upload from your hard drive or save it when takinng the picture
Eliza Madrigal: Okay... getting it TO SL seems do-able, but getting it FROM SL more difficult...
Wol Euler: better to save to hard disk until you find a pic that you like, then pay to import that one good image
Adams Rubble: so best to save it to hard drive as a matter of course
    Zen Arado: exactly Wol
Aphrodite Macbain: What's it like sitting next to a lama Zen?
stevenaia Michinaga whispers: I have spare change if someone needs 10L
Agatha Macbeth: Can you not export stuff then?
Wol Euler: if you own it, yes
Riddle Sideways: but the rules say no photo touchup
Wol Euler: open the image, and then select "save as" in the file menu
Eliza Madrigal: no touch-up but resizing is okay
    Zen Arado: nice animal
Wol Euler: er, "save texture as"
Aphrodite Macbain: I have the image up right now and there is an option to discard or save as
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
Aphrodite Macbain: and it asks me the for the "aspect ration" no idea what that is
Wol Euler: that will save it to your hard disk with a name that you assign
Wol Euler: leave that as it is
    Aphrodite Macbain: it's taking forever
Agatha Macbeth: Aspect Ration i would guess = Ratio
Zen Arado: yes - give it a name or it wiill be just 'Snapshot something
Zen Arado: and easier to find to upload
Aphrodite Macbain: I was hoping it would give me the option of putting it in my hard drive
Wol Euler: that's exactly what it is doing.
    Zen Arado: yes
Agatha Macbeth: The trick is finding it again later :)
Aphrodite Macbain: Sorry I missed the celebrations yesterday - balloons etc. I hope Pema was happily surprised
Zen Arado: save it to 'my pictures' or something
Qt Core: i right clicked it in my inventory and clicked save and got it on my pc (i'm on v2.1)
    Riddle Sideways: ?
    Adams Rubble: what was yesterday?
    Agatha Macbeth: Celebrations?
Eliza Madrigal: :) He seemed to be... was very spontaneous. I wasn't sure if he'd mind the hoopla
    Wol Euler: what was that?
    Eliza Madrigal: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Chat_Logs/2010/09/2010.09.25_19:00_-_Happy_Birthday_Water_Dragon
Eliza Madrigal: Also, today is his birthday for us outside of Japan time zones...
    Adams Rubble: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: it was his rezz birthday yesterday
    Agatha Macbeth: Aw, cute
Eliza Madrigal: so people should pummel him with notes hah
Eliza Madrigal: No, his actual birthday
    Wol Euler: oh indeed
    Agatha Macbeth: Pema's birthday?
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: Read the logs- there are even pictures
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
stevenaia Michinaga: looked like a great party
Eliza Madrigal: he's a water dragon
Wol Euler: oh, we missed anohter milestone. Steve was 1400 days old yesterday
    Eliza Madrigal: You were?!
    Agatha Macbeth: Sweet
Eliza Madrigal: Ohhh happy Rezz Day Steve!
    stevenaia Michinaga: moi?
Aphrodite Macbain: ummm happy 1400 birthday steve
    Agatha Macbeth: 1952 then?
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Zen Arado: I missed my 1000 a month ago :(
Wol Euler: Aphro is next, she'll be 200 in ten days
Agatha Macbeth: My 400 is coming up
Aphrodite Macbain: did you notice anything change?
    Wol Euler: in 12 days
Qt Core: do we celebrate decimal rezdays to ?
Eliza Madrigal: I love this.... It feels both modern and going back to some ancient time
Wol Euler: I think we shold :)
Aphrodite Macbain: wow. Sometimes I feel that old
Wol Euler: time in SL is so much faster than in RL
Eliza Madrigal: we should make a kind of SL astrology
    Eliza Madrigal: hhah
Zen Arado: oh - time shift?
stevenaia Michinaga: are they SL days or RL days counted?
Qt Core: don't know, rl rezzing is so much faster...
Aphrodite Macbain: maybe an art show
    Eliza Madrigal: ooo
    Wol Euler: sl days
    Aphrodite Macbain: hehe
Zen Arado: we get older faster then :(
Wol Euler: no, wait, RL days. not SL sunrises
stevenaia Michinaga: how many SL days in a RL day?
    stevenaia Michinaga: lol
Eliza Madrigal: well, but older doesn't mean the same things...
    Qt Core: 6
Wol Euler: exactly. tehre are three Sl sunrises to a RL day
    Wol Euler: six?
    Aphrodite Macbain: 24 steve
Eliza Madrigal: we get more experienced, but in a playful way... so it is backwards
    Qt Core: wasn't a day ech 4 hour ?
Aphrodite Macbain: Does it count the hours we are on line?
    Wol Euler: no
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, then I'm ancient
Aphrodite Macbain: on line in SL
    Aphrodite Macbain: curiouser and curiouser
Eliza Madrigal: hm... thinking if there are topics I should bring up....
    Eliza Madrigal: :::blank:::::
Wol Euler smiles. Are we too random for you? :)
Agatha Macbeth: Follow the white rabbit
stevenaia Michinaga: when does the Puzzle show "begin" officially
    Aphrodite Macbain winks at Wol
Qt Core: or the white lama
Eliza Madrigal: Not at all :) Just want to make sure that if there is something pertinent I don't miss the opportunity
    Zen Arado: or impertinent :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: The next exhibition?
Eliza Madrigal: Well, when there are sufficient displays with notes and such, then we set a date for the session
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
stevenaia Michinaga: aww, ok, no pressure than
Aphrodite Macbain: what does impertinant have that is better than SL2?
    stevenaia Michinaga: then
Lucinda Lavender: Bleu has been asking people when they are available...
Eliza Madrigal: It will prob be discussed this week at the WG meeting
    Eliza Madrigal: we're getting there
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, then she's on the ball. I'm not surprised :) thanks Luci
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: I think she might be looking for a weekend time...that was how it seemed
Eliza Madrigal: seems a good idea
Eliza Madrigal: And I think the poetry session went really well, too...
Eliza Madrigal: would like to do that again
    Wol Euler: yes indeed
    Zen Arado: was fun :)
Eliza Madrigal: Aphrodite got to read hers yesterday in the morning session
Lucinda Lavender: wish to attend that sometime
    Lucinda Lavender: ah!
Aphrodite Macbain: yes. I haven't had a chance to see if it got recorded..
Zen Arado: have to try writing something
Wol Euler: was that 1am or 7am?
Eliza Madrigal: Yes, it is there :) Would you like to share it here again, was lovely....
    Eliza Madrigal: 7am
Aphrodite Macbain: I'd like to write haiky while I'm in Italy and paint watercolours. Send them both on postcards to friends
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: are you talking to me Eliza?
    Eliza Madrigal: yes :)
Agatha Macbeth wonders what a haiky is
Eliza Madrigal: my son is very impressed, btw, with Adams today...hehe
Aphrodite Macbain: Oh. Yes. I'd love TO> (HAikU
Zen Arado: a type of fish?
    Agatha Macbeth: AH
    Aphrodite Macbain: hehe
Wol Euler: aphro, it is not in the log. The listener only records avatars, not objects.
Wol Euler: so poems read out using that script are not logged
Riddle Sideways: is a poem an object?
Wol Euler: the line-by-line reader is an object
    Aphrodite Macbain: a poem
Eliza Madrigal: she just cut and pasted it... and wow nice question... seems like a phenom experiment
Agatha Macbeth: didn't it used to pick up Faenik's words tho?
    Zen Arado: ah - that's a dsiadvantage
Aphrodite Macbain: a very short poem -3 lines
Aphrodite Macbain: shall I read it?
Riddle Sideways: Haiky are 5 lines
    Zen Arado: sure
Wol Euler: oh, wait, I just saw it.
Wol Euler: yes, it's in the log
    Eliza Madrigal: yes, listening....
    Wol Euler: sorry
    Zen Arado: fishing lines ?
Adams Rubble: Faenik's words were before the autologger I think
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, ok
    Lucinda Lavender: please
    Zen Arado: yes please
    Riddle Sideways misses Faenik
    Agatha Macbeth: Could be ^.^
Adams Rubble: I am afraid I must run. I need some grass :)
    Wol Euler: heheh

Aphro reads her 'haiky': unfortunately it seemed to get lost at the time in the general clamour of so many people typing at once.  Sorry Aphro.

Aphrodite Macbain: This is a poem for my dear friend Kate. We hiked together in the mountains for over 20 years. She wont be in this world much longer

A haiku for my dear friend Kate:

    Larch gold, paint brush red
    Waterfalls down rocky peaks
    Yodeling from heaven.

    Agatha Macbeth: Smoke carefully Adams
Wol Euler: bye adams, munch well
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Adams :)
    Qt Core: bye adams
    Zen Arado: bye Adams
    Riddle Sideways: bye adams
    Aphrodite Macbain: There. that's it!
    Adams Rubble: bye everyone :)
    Zen Arado: happy chomping
    Eliza Madrigal: that's it?
Agatha Macbeth whistles 'A four-legged friend'
Aphrodite Macbain: yes a haiku - 3 lines only
Zen Arado: oh nice haiku Aphro
Agatha Macbeth: It's the lite version
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh..yes...showing up....
    Aphrodite Macbain: well thank you
    Eliza Madrigal: so pretty... evokative...
    Wol Euler: nice
Aphrodite Macbain: Kate & I hiked in the Rockies with a group of women -over 23 years
    Zen Arado: nice colour sense
Agatha Macbeth: Wish i could see what you're wearing Liz, but still grey to me
Eliza Madrigal: makes me get up and go outside, though nothing so grand to see .... the greens may be greener today :)
    Lucinda Lavender: thoughtful...
Zen Arado: maybe it is grey?
Eliza Madrigal: (plus, my son is showered and ready to go) ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: Mm, don't think so...
Lucinda Lavender: the words are like a gift
    Wol Euler: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: yes @ Luci
Agatha Macbeth: It has blue bits
    Zen Arado: and red
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks again for posting the log Agatha :) Hugs Hugs Hugs Everyone
stevenaia Michinaga: I must depart, thanls
    Zen Arado: bye Eliza
    Agatha Macbeth hugs back
    Lucinda Lavender: Eliza, Steve...good day:)
Wol Euler: bye steve, bye eliza, take care
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye steve
    Zen Arado: hugs back too
    Zen Arado: bye Steve

    Someone's watch goes off...
    Agatha Macbeth: Meditate!
    Aphrodite Macbain: bye all
    Wol Euler: bye aphro
    Wol Euler: take care
Zen Arado: how do you post a log from here as there is no logger?
Lucinda Lavender: does anyone else occsionally see a feather sort of thing floating around where rubble was?
    Zen Arado: bye Aphro
    Riddle Sideways: bye
    Wol Euler: it's aphro's seahorse
    Riddle Sideways: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Aphro
    Lucinda Lavender: oh...:)
Wol Euler: zen, I guess people copy and paste from their own chatlog files
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Riddle Sideways: wow, how old method
Zen Arado: ok - you would have to be here for the whole meeting then ?
Wol Euler: or get somebody to mail you the bits you missed, yes
Agatha Macbeth: We need a logger extension
    Zen Arado: ok
Wol Euler: perhaps there is one, I don't know.
Wol Euler: oh, duh, if there were one it owuld be in the database. Let me check that.
Zen Arado: couldn't you jut copy the other one?
Lucinda Lavender: maybe one of those basket contraptions used to take down trees...
    Agatha Macbeth: Aha
Wol Euler: no, not in the listener database
Wol Euler: so I guess no listener
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah well
Wol Euler: I don't know why Storm didn't install that here.
Wol Euler: but I assume he had a reason
    Agatha Macbeth: Maybe he forgot
Riddle Sideways: these were not going to be in the public log
    Zen Arado: ah yes
Wol Euler: well, it isn't public until it is published :)
    Agatha Macbeth: True
Wol Euler: only fael and pema and lia and eliza and I have access to he database itself
Qt Core: need to go, bye all
Lucinda Lavender: sorry you may have already said this...but can one copy and paste the nearby chat?
    Agatha Macbeth: Ciao Qt
    Zen Arado: bye Qt
    Zen Arado: ciao
    Wol Euler: bye qt
Riddle Sideways: yes, that is how we use to do it
Wol Euler: yes, lucinda, click on the "local chat" button at the lower left of your screen
Agatha Macbeth: Yes Luci, provided you have it turned on in Prefs
Riddle Sideways: GoC had to stay all session
Wol Euler: or if you are offline and have recorded it, the conversation is on your hard disk as a text file
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Riddle Sideways: copy it into a text editor and run macros to format it
Lucinda Lavender: I remember Wol you helped me with that once...finding it in library
    Wol Euler nods.
Zen Arado: if you click on Windows start button and then type 'chat into the search window you will find it
Zen Arado: but hopefully we won't need to
    Riddle Sideways: little need now
Zen Arado: it staggered me that all the conversations I hahd had were on there
Lucinda Lavender: looking around in v2 prefs
    Agatha Macbeth: Rotsa ruck :)
Lucinda Lavender: nthing that says choose local chat
Wol Euler: is there a tab called "communication"?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Zen Arado: could be dangerous if someone hacked iinto your computer
    Wol Euler: click on that
Wol Euler: there are logging options
Wol Euler: the important ones are: Save a log of local chat on my computer -> ON
Wol Euler: show timestamps n local chat log -> OFF
Wol Euler: show incoming IM in local chat log -> OFF
Zen Arado: but it's on automatically for most?
Wol Euler: I believe it's on by default on the newer browsers, yes
Lucinda Lavender: I find those choices under prefs and in privacy
    Wol Euler: ok :)
Agatha Macbeth: Good, at least they are there
Zen Arado: could be embarassing stuff there
Wol Euler: well, they'd probably be more interested in finding your bank account info
Riddle Sideways: why embarassing... do you say not the truth here
Zen Arado: not that kind of embarassing
    Zen Arado: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hee
    Zen Arado: better change subect
    Riddle Sideways: ok
    Zen Arado: :)
Riddle Sideways: well, I need to go take photo again so I save 10L
    Subaru Arun is Online
    Wol Euler: :)
    Riddle Sideways: bye all
    Agatha Macbeth: C ya Riddle
Zen Arado: better go and make my dinner
    Zen Arado: bye all
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Zen
Wol Euler: bye zen, bon appetit
    Wol Euler: wb lucinda
    Lucinda Lavender: hi:)
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, hello again Luci
Lucinda Lavender: this is how it goes...
    Zen Arado is Offline
Lucinda Lavender: hear one minute gone the next
Agatha Macbeth: In out, in out
Lucinda Lavender: must go...have a good day all:)
Wol Euler: shake it all about
    Lucinda Lavender: :)))
Wol Euler: bye lucinda, enjoy your sunday
Lucinda Lavender: hope to, walked 6 miles yesterday
    Agatha Macbeth: Take care Luci
Lucinda Lavender: and found I am really sore...
    Wol Euler: O.O
    Lucinda Lavender: ah well
Lucinda Lavender: have a great sunday am or pm...
    Agatha Macbeth: PM for me
    Lucinda Lavender: I thought so
    Wol Euler: early evening here
    Wol Euler: 6pm
Lucinda Lavender: have either of you tried walking in to the box I made?
    Wol Euler: no. show us?
    Lucinda Lavender: with Bleu...
    Lucinda Lavender: sure
