The Guardian for this meeting was Bruce Mowbray. The comments are by Bruce Mowbray.

Although the 13:00 session on Fridays is usually a time for "free swinging" Play - a happy break and closure to the workweek, perhaps - it seemed that this session was different.  Agatha commented that " the conversation was rather serious, for a change."  And when he arrived, Qt questioned why the session had already lasted over an hour beyond its normal ending time.   The following morning, in Bertram's 2010.10.09 07:00 session, I tried to explain to Bertram what I thought was going on

    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey Bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Yaku!
Bruce Mowbray: How was the Happy Hour?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: nobody came today
    Yakuzza Lethecus: that never happened
    Bruce Mowbray: WHAT!????
Bruce Mowbray: Oh my -- I'm sorry.
Yakuzza Lethecus: don´t be. I always have something else in the background
Bruce Mowbray: ;-) Ahhhh ---- You are the Master Multi-tasker!
Bruce Mowbray: Maybe that outline of Bleu - across the fountain from us -- scared folks away. . .
Yakuzza Lethecus: bleu the scarecrow ? :)
    Bruce Mowbray: ha ha!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: *never said that*
Yakuzza Lethecus: *sry bleu, if you read this*
Bruce Mowbray: me neither !! ha ha!
Bruce Mowbray: aggers is fast arriving.
    Agatha Macbeth: Evening all
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey aggers
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, aggers!
    Agatha Macbeth: What is that?
Bruce Mowbray: That is Bleu's scarecrow ghost thingie.
    Agatha Macbeth: A Bleu outline
    Bruce Mowbray: yup.
Agatha Macbeth: Well it Bleu my mind
    Bruce Mowbray: ha ha!
Yakuzza Lethecus: she told me she would come to my voice session
Yakuzza Lethecus: maybe that´s her appearance :)

    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
Agatha Macbeth: Does it talk then?
Bruce Mowbray: I'm afraid to get close enough to hear it.
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey eos
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Eos!
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Eos
Eos Amaterasu: Hi Bruce, Aga, Yaku
Agatha Macbeth: Don't usually see you at this time :)
    Eos Amaterasu: I'm in Europe....
    Agatha Macbeth nods and smiles
Eos Amaterasu: I'm doing as the Parisians do
    Agatha Macbeth: So I gathered...
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, oui
Eos Amaterasu: I will see Yaku soon
    Agatha Macbeth: Très bien
Eos Amaterasu: (I see him right now)
    Eos Amaterasu: right
Bruce Mowbray: In SL the speed of light varies.
    Agatha Macbeth: Lag?
Bruce Mowbray: That might be it. . . also Bleu's ghost-scarecrow might slow light down a bit.
Eos Amaterasu: Is there a Second Life vacuum for virtual light to travel in?
Agatha Macbeth: Einstein never made any allowances for lag
    Bruce Mowbray ponders SL vacuum.
    Agatha Macbeth: A Dyson maybe?
Eos Amaterasu: maybe it's that space you're in when you teleport?
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, could be
Eos Amaterasu: you're nowhere, but on the way to somewhere (maybe)
Agatha Macbeth: You have to be *somewhere* right?
Eos Amaterasu: just like RL :-)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)

Bruce Mowbray: OK -- tech question: We are all using Phoenix....
Bruce Mowbray: why, then, do the labels over our heads appear in different colors?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: because of phoenix
Yakuzza Lethecus: you have a color tag
Agatha Macbeth: Well yours are all orange to me
Bruce Mowbray: sry -- for violating the bell. . .
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi Wol :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Wol.
Agatha Macbeth: You can't change the colours as you could in Emerald, I take it?
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Wol :))
    Bruce Mowbray: never used Emerald...
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Wol, Mick
Agatha Macbeth: Yeah, you could change your tag colour
    Agatha Macbeth: Evenin Mick :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: good evening Mick
Bruce Mowbray: but I'm not talking about the chat box -- I mean the labels over our heads... Wol's I green, Mick's is orange, Yaku's is purple, and Eos' and aggers' are red.
    Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Mick!
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
    Eos Amaterasu: Mick is gold
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe you can change them then
Wol Euler: in Phoenix you can
Bruce Mowbray: Does Bleu's scare-crow ghost thingie frighten you, Mick?
Mickorod Renard: Hiya,,sorry slow rezzing and all that lag stuff
Bruce Mowbray: I am in Phoenix....
Bruce Mowbray: but only for two days.
Agatha Macbeth: She's just looking for a brain ;-)
Wol Euler: mine was red too, I changed it to green in memory of Emerald (sobs)
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Bruce Mowbray: That's OK, Mick. We have determined that light slows down in SL. . . -- or, at least it varies its speed.
Agatha Macbeth: Still don't know how you do it tho
    Mickorod Renard: yes?
Wol Euler: preferences, the last tab, one of the subttabs
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, I theorized that lag had something to do with it
Bruce Mowbray: ok. --- I will continue to explore. I really like the Phoenix viewer, though.
Mickorod Renard: so e=mc^2 has another value?
    Agatha Macbeth: Thx Wol :)
    Agatha Macbeth: l = lag?
Bruce Mowbray: well, the 'c squared' is slightly slower in SL.
    Agatha Macbeth: Aha
    Mickorod Renard: nice
Wol Euler: page 1, the subtab "shields"
    Bruce Mowbray: e = mc^2 - l
Eos Amaterasu: speed of light also varies depending on medium it's travelling thru
Mickorod Renard: I will have to work out what implications that has
Mickorod Renard: hey,,who is the ghosty over there?
    Agatha Macbeth: I has it
    Wol Euler: bleu
    Mickorod Renard: ahh
Bruce Mowbray: Ha! The ghosty is Bleu -- attending Yaku's happy hour.
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Eos Amaterasu: Einstein figured out relativity by imagining himself sitting on a light ray; he used virtual reality....
Bruce Mowbray: yes, riding on the face of the clock at the patent office where he worked.
Bruce Mowbray: and discovering that the hands of the clock did not move when the clock moved at the speed of light...
Bruce Mowbray: Unfortunately, both he and the clock were approaching infinite mass at that speed.
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder what time zone he was in?
    Bruce Mowbray: Scotland, probably.
Eos Amaterasu is waiting to hear what happened then..
    Agatha Macbeth: Could be
Mickorod Renard: yes,,odd things happen in Scotland
Agatha Macbeth pictures Einstein in a kilt
Agatha Macbeth: Not a pretty sight...
Eos Amaterasu: Bruce, is the slower speed of light in SL something you have observed?
    Bruce Mowbray: Yes.
Mickorod Renard: I guess it must be limited by the processor speeds?
    Agatha Macbeth: And Windows probably
Eos Amaterasu: they probably need to limit the infinite mass thing
Bruce Mowbray: several factors -- including my graphics card and satellite dish... and clouds floating by.
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Marly
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Marly
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hello Marly
Yakuzza Lethecus: have you been here before ?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: ah
Agatha Macbeth: Before anyone asks, Marly has been here before :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: I remember
    Yakuzza Lethecus: yes
    Marly Milena: Hi! Pillow?
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, of course take one :)
    Eos Amaterasu: rt click
    Agatha Macbeth: (Too late)
Bruce Mowbray: Do any of you wish to claim this session? If not, I shall do so.
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, have a seat Marl
Agatha Macbeth: I thought it was Yaku's session?

    Mickorod Renard: wow,,nice kilt
    Agatha Macbeth: It's Einstein's ;-)
Mickorod Renard: its probably the only form of dress that can withstand the breeze at the speed of light
    Agatha Macbeth: And lag
Mickorod Renard: at that sort of speed there would be no need for underpants
Agatha Macbeth: (sry, getting spammed by poets :))
    Wol Euler: 7gr
    Wol Euler grins.
    Agatha Macbeth: 7gr?
    Wol Euler: a mis-launched macro
Agatha Macbeth: Is that the weight of something?
Mickorod Renard: your genitals would become so high in mass you would need to let them swing freely
    Agatha Macbeth: Mine wouldn't :)
Mickorod Renard: my genitals would be a mislaunched micro
Agatha Macbeth: Thou art too modest, Mick
    Mickorod Renard: :)ty
Eos Amaterasu has some spam that would help Mick
Mickorod Renard: thanks,,I used to eat spam regularly as a kid
Eos Amaterasu remembers that Mick once dreamed he was circling a black hole?
    Agatha Macbeth: Nice with mustard
Mickorod Renard: yes, that black hole visit was illuminating
Agatha Macbeth: (Is Yaku asleep again?)
    Agatha Macbeth: +s
Eos Amaterasu: /whispers: the session needs to be claimed
Bruce Mowbray: Shall I claim it, then?
    Wol Euler: please do
Eos Amaterasu: pls go ahead, Bruce
Agatha Macbeth: Go for it Bruce
    Agatha Macbeth: Kilt and all
Bruce Mowbray: Well, the kilt blew off when I was traveling - randomly - during the last bell.
Agatha Macbeth: You weren't sucked into the black hole then Mick?
Mickorod Renard: no,,but I had always pictured black holes as two dimensional
Mickorod Renard: but up close I determined it was like a ball
Marly Milena: Ag, have you seen the new version of Macbeth on PBS with Patrick Stewart? Powerful!
Bruce Mowbray: I watched that last night -- amazingly good.
    Agatha Macbeth: PBS?
Marly Milena: public tv. Maybe you are in Europe? This is in US
Bruce Mowbray: I have the DVD of Stewart in HAMLET, also.
Agatha Macbeth: I am in the UK Marly, and rarely watch TV anyway
Eos Amaterasu: to make it so or not to make it so
    Wol Euler laughs.
Marly Milena: Bruce, did you hear Stewart talk about what he learned from Ian McClellan?

Agatha Macbeth: But thank you :)
Bruce: No, I didn't hear that.
Mickorod Renard: He is rumoured to live near me
    Marly Milena: Tomorrow AND tomorrow
    Agatha Macbeth: And tomorrow
Marly Milena: He said the AND was the most important word. It extends time
Marly Milena: I found that very interesting
Bruce Mowbray: creeps in its petty pace (must have been an SL "tomorrow")
    Agatha Macbeth: With lag
Agatha Macbeth: Until the last syllable of recorded time?
Bruce Mowbray: and all our yesterdays. . . .
Marly Milena: And while I am at it, since nothing much seems to be happening, I saw the most amazing rainbow I have ever seen in my life yesterday!
Marly Milena: Perfect, every color distinct...
Wol Euler points to the recorder.
Agatha Macbeth: Somewhere over the rainbow
Marly Milena: Arching across the whole sky for five minutes
    arabella Ella: Hiya!
    Eos Amaterasu: RL miracles
Agatha Macbeth: Seem to be getting a lot of Oz imagery lately, wonder why...
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Ara :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, arabella.
    Marly Milena: :-)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi ara :)
    Eos Amaterasu: Ciao ARA
    Mickorod Renard: Hi Ara
Marly Milena: Bruce, what does it mean to the session?
Bruce Mowbray: It means you edit the chat log and then post it in the wiki.
    Marly Milena: Ah ok.
Agatha Macbeth: All our conversations are posted on the wiki, Marly
Bruce Mowbray: when the last guardian has left this scene, I will be sent the entire chat log -- and then I edit it (correct spellings, etc.) and then post it on our wkik.
Agatha Macbeth: But somebody has to claim and edit them first
    Mickorod Renard: it's well paid
    Bruce Mowbray: wiki*
    Agatha Macbeth: Wkik looks good
    Bruce Mowbray: ha!
Marly Milena: Is the conversation ever focused?
    Agatha Macbeth: Rarely :)
Marly Milena: Or is it just random like this?
    Agatha Macbeth: Sometimes yes
Bruce Mowbray: My left hand doth not know what my right hand doeth.

Agatha Macbeth: Sometimes we have theme sessions
Eos Amaterasu: Sometimes there are themes
Agatha Macbeth: But Friday is usually random ;P
Marly Milena: The silence ritual reminds me of my recent experience with the Brahma Kumari.
Eos Amaterasu: Do you have a focus/topic, Marly?
Yakuzza Lethecus: this afternoon we had a time session
Bruce Mowbray listens for more from Marly.
Marly Milena: Anyone familiar with that spiritual service group?
    Eos Amaterasu: a little bit
arabella Ella: which theme session was on today Yaku?
Yakuzza Lethecus: I wasn´t online for Pema´s session today :(
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, there was a Time session today, but almost no one could log in - so only 3 or 4 folks showed up for it, unfortunately.
Marly Milena: The largest in the world, everywhere. An organization of dedicated people whose sole purpose is to provide any support they can for groups doing good in the world
    arabella Ella: oh
Bruce Mowbray continues to listen intently to Marly.
Marly Milena: I was at a conference called Images and Voices of Hope (http://ivoh.org/) devoted to all sorts of media and what they are
    Mickorod Renard: sounds nice Marly
Marly Milena: dealing with philosophically, ethically, creatively, etc
Marly Milena: The Open Source discussion was a big one. Every half hour the silence...peaceful music for a minute
Marly Milena: Journalists, social media people, educators, kids making games. it was great
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
    Mickorod Renard: sounds lovely
Marly Milena: It was held in a place called Peace Village, tended by the Brahma Kumari, and everything was free. You could, of course, make a donation and most people did.
Mickorod Renard: although, might it not be a bit like the other spiritual idea's being bandied about?
Marly Milena: But there are these places all over the world run by the BK.
Marly Milena: No, their mission is simply to be of service to people trying to honor the earth, figure things out, etc.
Agatha Macbeth: A worthy mission :)
Marly Milena: They provide reflection, silence, support
Marly Milena: There is no proselytizing except perhaps to keep reminding people to take good care of themselves and each other! LOL
Wol Euler: what a revolutionary thought.
Agatha Macbeth: Hope it works then :p
Mickorod Renard: yes, a lovely idea
Bruce Mowbray: I'm thinking that the Open Source meeting was just during that Peace Village conference. . . ?
Marly Milena: I suggest you go to that website and see what that event was like and who some of the people were who made the media presentations. I saw amazing documentaries
Bruce Mowbray: not all the time?
Bruce Mowbray: OK -- I pasted the URL earlier.  http://ivoh.org/
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Bruce Mowbray: Thank you, Marly. . . I'm all for a positive approach.
Marly Milena: Open Source===they were trying to struggle with this: If everyone is in on reporting news, what happens to quality, truth, etc.? What is the role of journalists, professional media people in this Brave New World?
Marly Milena: OK, sorry I was talking so much. I will shut up now
Bruce Mowbray: I APPRECIATE your contribution, Marly.
Agatha Macbeth: We are glad to listen :)
    Wol Euler: agreed
Agatha Macbeth: A new voice is often refreshing
Marly Milena: I would love to hear your views on this current challenge of Open Source media
Marly Milena: We are in it, living it, aren't we?
Eos Amaterasu: It won't help if it just crowd-sources the media echo chamber
Eos Amaterasu: most bloggers and tweeters just repeat what's come to them
Eos Amaterasu: more sources increases need for help in finding the good stuff, and even
    Eos Amaterasu: "truth"
    Agatha Macbeth: Da-da-da
arabella Ella: ah there is more 'democracy' with Open Source
Mickorod Renard: truth,,now there's a cunning lil word
arabella Ella: and more openness too
Eos Amaterasu: the most successful Open source projects have pretty rigid hierarchies

arabella Ella: what about demos as a well known Open Source publishing organisation
    arabella Ella: or Wikipedia
arabella Ella: altho I heard someone saying about Wikipedia
arabella Ella: that if you don't have an entry with your name on it
arabella Ella: then you have no clue how inaccurate it is
    Eos Amaterasu: ?
    Eos Amaterasu: ¿
Mickorod Renard: there comes that truth thing again
Eos Amaterasu: we are not in touch with our own "truth"
Eos Amaterasu: let alone that of something larger
    Mickorod Renard: that's true
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Eos Amaterasu: maybe your truth is that by which you guide yourself, or try to
Agatha Macbeth: Seems I got pulled into a black hole;-)
    Eos Amaterasu: it's somewhat emergent
Eos Amaterasu thinks that maybe Agatha is experiencing tidal forces as she gets sucked in....
Agatha Macbeth: I should have worn my kilt
Bruce Mowbray: I try to steer by Joy and Compassion. . . (so, would those be my "Truths"?)
Mickorod Renard: I sometimes wonder whether some sort of trust and perhaps faith are less disturbing than a life of perpetual searching for truth
    Agatha Macbeth: Indubitably ,Bruce
Wol Euler: can women wear kilts?
    Agatha Macbeth: Why not?
Eos Amaterasu: your experience of joy is your truth, and your experience of compassion is your truth
Wol Euler: is it still a kilt if a woman wears it?
Bruce Mowbray: OF COURSE women can wear kilts! -- Where are you from, anyway, Scotland?!!!!
Agatha Macbeth: To be honest, dunno
    Agatha Macbeth: Kiltette maybe?
Bruce Mowbray: If she puts one on, then she's wearing it. End of story.
Eos Amaterasu: Try it and see what happens (life as a lab)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay
    Wol Euler: :)
    Bruce Mowbray: ha ha!
Marly Milena: Prior conversation, those labelistic words like Truth, Joy, etc often limit our actual experience (general semantics)
arabella Ella: hey, Wol, of course it still remains a kilt :)
    Bruce Mowbray agrees with Marly.
Marly Milena: They have such broad interpretations. Faith, Trust, etc
Eos Amaterasu: true: they are like carrots we carry in front of us
Mickorod Renard: well Eos, I think I do this,,but I also see things that can be exhausting and never ending
Bruce Mowbray: I guess I am thinking "The 4 Immeasurables" when I think of Joy and Compassion.
Marly Milena: Exactly where is your carrot, my dear? :-))))
Eos Amaterasu: they get us in trouble when they interfere with seeing what is
    Marly Milena: Yes, Eos
Bruce Mowbray: A carrot or a compass. . . . take your pick.
arabella Ella: can we really see 'what is' Eos?
Eos Amaterasu ponders the notions of "being true to yourself"
    Marly Milena: I love metaphor
Eos Amaterasu: maybe we can let Being see what is (yes, I know that's cheating :-)
    arabella Ella: :)
Bruce Mowbray: Every metaphor has its snapping point.
Marly Milena: Just like carrots! hahaha
Eos Amaterasu: (that was also a metaphor)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Bruce Mowbray wonders if THIS is what happens when "Open Source" takes over the world.
    Marly Milena: Hahahaha
Eos Amaterasu: the world is already Open Source
Marly Milena: Maybe we are Open Sorcerers?
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Eos Amaterasu: it's just the last couple hundred of years that one species has done this peculiar thing
Bruce Mowbray: Which "peculiar thing" would that be, Eos?
Eos Amaterasu: put artificial barriers on access to infrastructure-critical information
    Bruce Mowbray ponders "artificial barriers."
    Mickorod Renard: mmmmmm
Marly Milena: I wonder if it's more a matter of the breakdown of hierarchy as the most viable form
Marly Milena: A struggle for a horizon
Mickorod Renard: that's an interesting point Marly
Marly Milena: The Internet has suddenly boosted the self-esteem of masses of people!
Marly Milena: "Why can't I?"... they are saying

Marly Milena: The media people think we are in a paradigm shift with this
Mickorod Renard: I am all for it,,I began it some today when I let a student use the staff toilet
    Marly Milena: Oh shit
Agatha Macbeth: Breaking boundaries eh Mick
Mickorod Renard: yes,, there is a risk now that I may loose control at work
    Agatha Macbeth: Anarchist :p
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Bruce Mowbray recalls when the New York City police let him use a police-only toilet.
Marly Milena: Or get support from unlikely places!
arabella Ella: what is wrong with that Mick?
Bruce Mowbray: Bodily functions are the great equalizer.
Agatha Macbeth: Can't argue with that Bruce
Mickorod Renard: as I sat on the toilet later pondering such a radical move,,,,,
arabella Ella: I guess the problem is that you have set a precedent
arabella Ella: and other students can now claim to use it too
Agatha Macbeth: 'The seat of learning'
Bruce Mowbray: "OK," I said, "either I pee in your restroom, or I pee in this corner...."
Bruce Mowbray: and they went for the restroom.

What I typed two lines above is a gross (in more ways than one) exaggeration.  The NYC police (59th Street Station) were totally gracious to me - even called me personally in Ohio to tell me they had found my lost (they said 'stolen') computer in a subway station, and said to come to their station to retrieve it.  When I asked if they knew where I might find a restroom, the officer invited me to use theirs.  OK -- now my conscience is clear (well, clearer, anyway.)

    Agatha Macbeth: Surprisingly
Bruce Mowbray: a wise decision on their part.
Bruce Mowbray thinks -- Here we are at "Open Oource" once again.
Mickorod Renard: I came to the decision that individual needs to retail their dignity,,when in need to use the toilet is paramount
Marly Milena: This has been most enjoyable, but I must depart!
Eos Amaterasu: Bye everyone, thanks, I need to go....
    arabella Ella: bye Eos
    Mickorod Renard: bye eos
Agatha Macbeth: Nice to see you, Marly
Bruce Mowbray: THANKS for being with us, Marly!
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Eos!
    Mickorod Renard: Bye Marly
Wol Euler: bye eos, bye Marly
Agatha Macbeth: Bye for now eos
Marly Milena: Thanks for being so welcoming!
    Agatha Macbeth: That's us!
Bruce Mowbray: You are always welcome, Marly.
    Agatha Macbeth: Anyway...
    Agatha Macbeth: onigokko
    arabella Ella: LOL
    Yakuzza Lethecus: .9
Wol Euler: I thought you'd never ask.
    Mickorod Renard: 43
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
Bruce Mowbray: I am spilling my coffee!!!!!
    Agatha Macbeth: In the restroom
    Bruce Mowbray: yikes!
    Agatha Macbeth: With a kilt
    Agatha Macbeth: stop
    Bruce Mowbray: whew!
    Agatha Macbeth: Feel better?
    arabella Ella feels breathless ...
    Agatha Macbeth: Breathless smiles
arabella Ella: good exercise though I really need it
Bruce Mowbray: A change is as good as a break.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: night everyone
    Mickorod Renard: nite Yaku
Agatha Macbeth: Bye for now, Yaku
    arabella Ella: night, Yaku
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Yaku!
    Wol Euler: bye, Yaku
Agatha Macbeth: Friday conversation was rather serious for a change
    Wol Euler: thanks to Marly.
    Mickorod Renard: mm yes
Wol Euler: I hope somebody asked her for permission to publish?!
    Agatha Macbeth: She's been before
    Wol Euler: good
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, she has been here before and I've also asked her.
Agatha Macbeth: All bases covered then
    Bruce Mowbray: yeppers.
Mickorod Renard: being serious is something I am beginning to get worried about

arabella Ella: hey have any of you seen Google's doodle today?
    arabella Ella: ooops
Agatha Macbeth: Just don't let it become a habit, Mick
Mickorod Renard: I get the feeling that we forget the bit about what this place is about sometimes
    arabella Ella: shhhhh
Mickorod Renard: the play as bit
    Mickorod Renard: eek,,sorry
Agatha Macbeth: What is it about? ;-)
Mickorod Renard: I will be quiet now,,to make up
arabella Ella: the Google doodle is animated and with music today
arabella Ella: in honour of John Lennon's 70th birthday tomorrow
    Agatha Macbeth takes a look
arabella Ella: if he were still alive
    arabella Ella: it is brilliant
Agatha Macbeth: Ah yes, of course
    arabella Ella: in my opinion
arabella Ella: really sweet and appropriate
arabella Ella: Google also celebrated the Flintstones 50th birthday recently
arabella Ella: but that did not have animation
    Agatha Macbeth: YABBA DABBA DOOOOO!!!
Agatha Macbeth: Thought Fred was older than that
    arabella Ella: only 50 :)
    arabella Ella: LOL
    Agatha Macbeth: Bless him
arabella Ella: and Barney too of course
Mickorod Renard: they are still alive though
Agatha Macbeth: And Wilma and Betty
Mickorod Renard: well, I don't recall seeing news they had died
arabella Ella: I think there is a movie revival
Mickorod Renard: Tony Curtis has died
Agatha Macbeth: He wasn't in the Flintstones tho
    arabella Ella: Norman Wisdom too
    Agatha Macbeth: Or him
    arabella Ella: LOL
    Mickorod Renard: oh yes,,poor Norman
    Bruce Mowbray: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/Google-doodle-celebrates-john-Lennon-70th-birthday-11834688
Bruce Mowbray: I put it here in the chat log so I can remember to include it in the wiki post.
    arabella Ella: yes great idea!
arabella Ella: yes Bruce i read about it in today's tech news so i just had to try it out and i think it is so cool of Google to change their doodles as they do
Bruce Mowbray: I visited the IMAGINE mosaic in Central Park just a week ago.

    arabella Ella: wow cool
arabella Ella: i may visit Liverpool this weekend
Mickorod Renard: does anyone remember the song from the sixties,,Ferry Cross the Mersey?
    Agatha Macbeth: Sadly, yes
    arabella Ella nods to Mick
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Bruce Mowbray: Folks, this has been grand. but I need to attend to bio-needs now (supper). So I shall say G'day!
    Mickorod Renard: bye Brucie
Agatha Macbeth: Take care Bruce, mind the lag
Bruce Mowbray: Thanks -- May all be well and ahppy.
    arabella Ella: bye Bruce
    Agatha Macbeth: I'll be ahppy
Mickorod Renard: swing free and be happy
    Agatha Macbeth: Or ahppy
    arabella Ella: a hippy Ags?
    Agatha Macbeth: Or an ihppy
    arabella Ella: he he
Agatha Macbeth: A dyslexic hippy maybe?
    arabella Ella: an e-hippy
    arabella Ella: or i-hippy

    arabella Ella: depends on medium
Agatha Macbeth: An i-hippy sounds like something you'd listen to...
    Agatha Macbeth: With headphones
Mickorod Renard: are you near Whitby, Ags?
arabella Ella: or maybe some sort of hippo?
Agatha Macbeth: a) No b) Why do you ask?
Agatha Macbeth: I have been to Whitby, nice Abbey
Mickorod Renard: a)ohh b)I was thinking about the witches of Whitby
arabella Ella: ah Ags, you may be my neighbour if you are in the UK who knows
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
arabella Ella: but i am in Man
Agatha Macbeth: Lucky you Ara :DDD
    Agatha Macbeth: Sorry
    Agatha Macbeth slaps her wrist
    arabella Ella: LOL
arabella Ella: did it sound that awful?
Agatha Macbeth: Actually, Whitby features in Dracula, it's where he comes ashore
    Mickorod Renard: yes, bram stokers
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Mickorod Renard: a great place
    arabella Ella giggles
Mickorod Renard: and I love the jet
Agatha Macbeth: Obviously a Viking settlement originally
Mickorod Renard: I read a series of books to my son some years ago,,the Witches of Whitby
    Agatha Macbeth: Ooh
Mickorod Renard: but it was a favorite visit for me for long weekends
Agatha Macbeth: North Yorks is a lovely place
Mickorod Renard: yes, my first time was on a school geography field trip
Agatha Macbeth: I always expect to see Heathcliffe and Kathy on t'moors
Mickorod Renard: yes, can be bleak
Agatha Macbeth: But bleak in a lovely way tho
Agatha Macbeth: The heather and all
Mickorod Renard: yes, I love that part of it
Mickorod Renard: and free roaming sheep
Agatha Macbeth: So much of northern England and Scotland is still unspoilt
    arabella Ella nods
arabella Ella: ah the beauty of the yorks moors
Mickorod Renard: I have yet to visit Northumberland
Agatha Macbeth: Scotland would be a good place for a retreat you know
    Agatha Macbeth: Ideal in fact
arabella Ella: ah it would be lovely
arabella Ella: but someone would have to organise it
Agatha Macbeth: We could all wear kilts :)
    arabella Ella: yeaaaa
    Agatha Macbeth: (Even the women)
    Mickorod Renard: perhaps the trosachs
    arabella Ella: LOL
    arabella Ella: and why not
Agatha Macbeth: Same to you Mick
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Do I see Qt?
    Mickorod Renard: no,,its me
    Agatha Macbeth: Buona sera :)
    Mickorod Renard: ohh,,hi qt
    arabella Ella: Hiya Qt
Qt Core: 'sera Agatha, hi all
arabella Ella: before i leave as it is late
Agatha Macbeth: Isn't it late where you are?
arabella Ella: could we have a quick
    arabella Ella: onigokko
    arabella Ella: Qt?
Qt Core: yes, just curious about people being here almost an hour after the official end of the session
    arabella Ella: non giochi?
Agatha Macbeth: It's against his religion
arabella Ella: ah vaticano says 'no'
Agatha Macbeth: Not to me :)
Qt Core: it seems too much a gym activity ;-)
arabella Ella: oh forgot i had to say
    arabella Ella: stop]

Agatha Macbeth: Stopped on the bell
Qt Core: so what was the topic to keep you here until now ?
Agatha Macbeth: North Yorkshire i think :)
arabella Ella: Qt it is normal that the 1pm session goes on for long past its finishing time
Agatha Macbeth: Especially on Friday for some reason
Qt Core: we may call that reason saturday morning lie in ?
Agatha Macbeth: I think that's why Yaku never grabs the log any more!
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes Qt, true
arabella Ella: yes Qt ,could be
Agatha Macbeth: Tho I think Wol has to be up early for the 1 a.m. session tomorrow?
Qt Core: (reminding myself that (not for work) i have to be on my way at 08:30am most Saturdays
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
arabella Ella: so early Qt wow for a Saturday!
Qt Core: sadly ;-) my parents raised me too well, even when I could, I can't stay in bed past 9
Qt Core: (if not for exceptional cases)
    arabella Ella: oh
Mickorod Renard: sorry folks,,I need to hit the sack
arabella Ella: I must go too good night everyone!
    Mickorod Renard: c u soon,,xx
Qt Core: what has it done ?
Wol Euler: bye ara, bye mick
Agatha Macbeth: Bye Ara, take care
    Qt Core: 'night Ara, Mick
    Agatha Macbeth: You too, Mick
Agatha Macbeth: I see Bleu is still here ;-)
Qt Core: yesterday i had a sl epiphany something very "dangerous"
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh?
Qt Core: i realized (not that I didn't know it but I "got it") that there are no size issues with SL clothing, being fat 90% of the rl clothing I see in shops is out of limits
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
Agatha Macbeth: I must say I don't have any problems myself with SL clothes
Agatha Macbeth: But I think Wol has to tweak a lot because of her shape
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Wol Euler: none of my alts have to do as much fiddling, except Udge
    Agatha Macbeth: :P
Qt Core: yes, there are still ways to make SL clothing fit better, but that's better than letting everything that hasn't several Xs befor the L pass
    Wol Euler nods.
Qt Core: once i was in a xl-sized specialized stores and i heard a client being gently told to go away as she was too skinny for the shop, almost lolled ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: Must have made her day!
    Wol Euler: heheh
Qt Core: my day surely ;-)
Wol Euler: and yet as the populations age, the average size is surely going o increase too.
Agatha Macbeth: 'You are not fat enough for us madam'
Agatha Macbeth: Well, you would think so

Agatha Macbeth: You are up late, Qt?
Qt Core: now i just have to watchout to not become a shopaolic ;-)
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Qt Core: sadly i become used to stay up late, add waking up early and you can understand my immense sleep debt :-(
    Wol Euler: that sounds familiar
    Agatha Macbeth: :p
Wol Euler: I'm looking forward to the reterat in part because I'll be forced to sleep and wake early
    Agatha Macbeth: Hypnotherapy
Qt Core: last year, when I was running around china, I loved to be able to retire at 23, slept more in that vacation than at home
Qt Core: and in a (much) bigger bed too ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: That always helps i find
Agatha Macbeth: The bigger the bed the better i sleep
    Wol Euler: that's true
    Agatha Macbeth: Mmm
    Qt Core: http://picasaweb.google.it/qt.core.sl/Catai2009General#5490081098726780178
Agatha Macbeth: Now THAT I like
Agatha Macbeth: And the bolster too
    Wol Euler: hehehe
Wol Euler: is the pollution as bad as they say?
    Agatha Macbeth: In the bed?
Agatha Macbeth: Only when I fart
Wol Euler: sorry for changing tracks so abruptly
Qt Core: wasn't.   it was a rare period of good air, but even the weeks before, a friend of mine was there a month before
Qt Core: still there was fog, but old plain humidity fog
Agatha Macbeth: It's such a big country, surely there must be plenty of good air
Qt Core: i think that we (westerns) may find the smog smell reassuring the first times we go there as the other smells are very stranger to us
    Wol Euler: huh
    Agatha Macbeth understands that
    Wol Euler: an interesting observation
Agatha Macbeth: I thought everybody used bicycles there?
Qt Core: (well, maybe not so weird if you live near a chinese restaurant
Qt Core: many, but a lot of cars too
    Agatha Macbeth: Shame
    Qt Core: http://picasaweb.google.it/qt.core.s...81122137473970
    Agatha Macbeth: Another bed?
Wol Euler: wow, eight lanes per direction.
    Wol Euler: intense.
Qt Core: no, but i have all the bed i slept in during the trip there (but the cruise cabin)
Agatha Macbeth: Where is this - beijing?
    Qt Core: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: God
Qt Core: all day i think, it just change direction
    Agatha Macbeth sighs. How sad
    Agatha Macbeth: Affluence produces effluence
Qt Core: with so many cars around (and with most drivers on the wild side) being a cyclist or pedon is quite a dangerous life
    Agatha Macbeth: I can imagine
Agatha Macbeth: Bit like Tiammen Square with the tanks...
    Agatha Macbeth: Tianmen rather

    Wol Euler: http://picasaweb.google.it/qt.core.sl/Catai2009General#5506009698635621826
    Agatha Macbeth: Bonsai?
Qt Core: in the hotel hall in Hong Kong
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Agatha Macbeth: So the Chinese do it too?
    Wol Euler: nice
Agatha Macbeth: Tree in a bottle i mean
Qt Core: with the culture mix/clash you find there... who knows where it come from
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe was picked up from the Japanese
Agatha Macbeth: Or could be an Asian thing generally
Agatha Macbeth: It's certainly cute either way
Qt Core: the well mantained gardens for sure, so may be
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: Did I see you are doing the 1 a.m. session tomorrow Wol?
    Wol Euler: yes, and sunday
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, just wondered about the time
Wol Euler: 1a.m. yes, both times
Agatha Macbeth: Getting late I mean :)
Wol Euler: oh that, yes it is.
Qt Core: sundays 1a.m. sessions are good to start the day in a somewhat lazy way
    Wol Euler: heheh
Agatha Macbeth: Later for you two than for me
Qt Core: (even if probably if I ever come at the sat one I will already have done the week grocery shopping
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Agatha Macbeth: Shopping is a good thing to get out of the way first thing, yes
Wol Euler: it'll be between breakfast and shopping for me.
Qt Core: doing that at opening hour is less chaotic... and the warm briosches at the bar are good too)
Wol Euler: and back to work for the afternoon after the shopping
    Agatha Macbeth: Yum
Agatha Macbeth: Work - oh dear
    Wol Euler: yeah
    Wol Euler: Sunday morning too
    Wol Euler shrugs.
    Agatha Macbeth: Some retreat :(
Wol Euler: retreat starts Sunday evening
Wol Euler: and this is buying the time.
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
Qt Core: this may not be the best pic I took, but it surely is one that I like a lot: http://picasaweb.google.it/qt.core.sl/Catai2009General#5497395629697697346

Wol Euler: yes, I liked that
    Agatha Macbeth: Nice :)
Agatha Macbeth: Who is the lady (should I ask) ?
Qt Core: who knows ? :-) toke it really fast when I saw her pass the "arch"
Qt Core: noticed the Omega only at home ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, not a friend then?
    Wol Euler: heh, yes.
Wol Euler: it didn't occur to me either
Agatha Macbeth: What a pity :(
    Qt Core: really ;-)
Qt Core: it is a garden/villa in Shanghai, btw)
Agatha Macbeth: 'Ships that pass in the night'
Wol Euler: goodnight, my dears, I must sleep.
    Wol Euler: enjoy your weekends
Agatha Macbeth: Bye for now Wol, sleep well
    Qt Core: I'll try ;-)
    Qt Core: 'night Wol
    Agatha Macbeth: Ciao Qt
    Qt Core: 'notte Agatha
