2010.10.25 19:00 - good Being

The Guardian for this meeting was stevenaia Michinaga. The comments are by stevenaia Michinaga.

    stevenaia Michinaga: evening Ewan
    Ewan Bonham: Hi Steve
stevenaia Michinaga: I was reading the Sunday log (13:00 ) about "2010.10.24 13:00 - Pure Altruism" did you happen to see it?
    Ewan Bonham: I did not..
Ewan Bonham: Can imagine it can really free up the heart..:0
stevenaia Michinaga: an interesting discuss, was mainly about its existence, (does such a thing exist) and one person's premise that if you get joy from being Altruistic, then it cannot be pure, somehow your own joy taints it in some way
stevenaia Michinaga: I think the discussion ended in a "who cares if it helps someone "
Ewan Bonham: Hmmm...that to me sounds too purist..
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Ewan Bonham: i believe in altruism as a way of opening up a natural process which is always there but blocked by ego..
stevenaia Michinaga: it wasn;t so much a position, more a subject of a book Lucinda was reading, I believe

stevenaia Michinaga: I was not there (read it afterwards), but I do understand warming the heart of one often warms the heart of many, sometimes without realizing it
Ewan Bonham: Yes, we touch more people than we could ever imagine..:)
stevenaia Michinaga: I think it is better to do the good you do than count the people you touch
stevenaia Michinaga: I was then thinking of the direct or indirect good that comes of this practice here, which seems to be more focused on the good Being.... assuming there may be a less discussed bad Being out there
stevenaia Michinaga: being open and free rather than it;s opposite.. closed up tight
Ewan Bonham: Lol....I think there are only those shades of goodness that we allow ourselves to reveal..:)
stevenaia Michinaga: but the reveling process seems to lead to light
Ewan Bonham: Steve, i must go...I am being called by rl
Ewan Bonham: Indeed...to an inner light awareness..:)
stevenaia Michinaga: with my singularly distorted view of things of course, I don;t pretend to be balanced one way or another

: ...... Ewan stands and departs abruptly
