The Guardian for this meeting was Adams Rubble. The comments are by Adams Rubble.

I was home today beecause I was too sore (see below) to go out on the family adventure. I suddenyl remembered there was a PaB session and I arrived about 7:15 and found Arch sitting there. We said our hellos while I was putting on my guardian tag to the recorder did not start right away. Ahhh, here we go:

Archmage Atlantis: Nice to see you also, Adams
Adams Rubble: I usually am away on Saturday mornings
Archmage Atlantis: I usually try to attend
Adams Rubble: I am recovering from a bicycle accident
Archmage Atlantis: but just barely woke up

We soon were joined by Alfred

    Adams Rubble: Hello Alfred :)
Archmage Atlantis: How did the accident happen
    Archmage Atlantis: Hey Alfie
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: oh, accident?
Adams Rubble: I was bicycling down a hill and a US Mail truck passed me and did a right turn in front of me
Adams Rubble: We were going about 20 miles per hour
    Archmage Atlantis: Oy
    Alfred Kelberry: damn
Adams Rubble: I tried to stop and turn with him but there wasn;t room and I hit the side of the truck
    Alfred Kelberry: you're not hurt?
Adams Rubble: I have lacerations and bruises
Archmage Atlantis: May I ask what the countryside was like?......desert, mountain, flat
Adams Rubble: the worst is a bruised quadriceps muscle
Adams Rubble: it was a city
    Archmage Atlantis: Oh
    Alfred Kelberry: ew... poor adams
    Alfred Kelberry: *hugs you*
    Adams Rubble: thanks Alfred :)
Alfred Kelberry: please get better quickly
Adams Rubble: yes, I am home today doing that
    Adams Rubble: resting myself
Alfred Kelberry: you might also want to try water from the fountain - it's sacred :)
    Adams Rubble: hehe
Alfred Kelberry: is it ok for you to type?
    Alfred Kelberry: hehe
Archmage Atlantis: Alfred, pls ask before hugging, ......I have been with so many ppl that find a hug offensive.................my Dad hugged me, it was the best part of my childhood......but often ppl don't see things the way I do
Alfred Kelberry: *jumps into the pond with adms*
Adams Rubble: yes, it was Thursday and my fingers are becoming less sore
Archmage Atlantis: You look quite nice, Adams
Adams Rubble: thank you Arch :)

    Lessons

Adams Rubble: It is always a good lesson to see how quickly things can change in our lives
Adams Rubble: I was very, very fortunate too, it could have been much worse
    Alfred Kelberry: yes, so true
Archmage Atlantis: Yes, a hard lesson
Adams Rubble: I was feeling so good before it happened
Adams Rubble: afterwards, everything hurt :)
    Alfred Kelberry: *sighs*
Alfred Kelberry: well, just for a short time, thankfully :)
    Adams Rubble: yes
Archmage Atlantis: Yes, I can relate, but not know exactly.....I have been in 4 auto accidents
    Adams Rubble: ohh Arch
    Alfred Kelberry: 2 here :)
    --BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: I'm still here causing trouble, *smile*, not yet my time
Adams Rubble: Thankfully I was never hurt in the car
Archmage Atlantis: That is good :)
Archmage Atlantis: But motorized vehicle hits bike.....not so good
Adams Rubble: yes, we are more vulnerable on a bicycle
    Archmage Atlantis: Yes
Archmage Atlantis: I think of China
Adams Rubble: yes, it is changing there
Archmage Atlantis: everyone was on bikes not that long ago
    Adams Rubble: yes
Adams Rubble: I am told many are gaining weight now
Archmage Atlantis: I have to believe that is true
Archmage Atlantis: My parents grew up on farms.......
    Adams Rubble: My mother did
Archmage Atlantis: when they began city life, they continued to eat the same way
    Adams Rubble nods
Archmage Atlantis: And taught me to do so also
    Adams Rubble nods
Adams Rubble: yes, we learn too late to change our eating habits...only we are forced to
Archmage Atlantis: Not just our eating habits *g*
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: yes
    Archmage Atlantis: Alfred you there?
    Alfred Kelberry: meep-meep!
Archmage Atlantis: meeep right back at you
Adams Rubble: what does the meep-meep signify?
Archmage Atlantis: Funny you should ask, Adams
Alfred Kelberry: this champagne bowl looks like a huge cup of coffee :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Archmage Atlantis: That is a question for Fael
    Adams Rubble nods
Archmage Atlantis: Should you ever see him
    Archmage Atlantis: sorry
    Archmage Atlantis: her
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I was wondering if it was a computer sound
Alfred Kelberry: when i say meep-meep, i think of road runner :)
    Adams Rubble: ahhh, yes
    Adams Rubble: probably the source
Alfred Kelberry: it can be anything really :)
Alfred Kelberry: but suits a robo box well
    Adams Rubble: :)
Archmage Atlantis: That is true Alfie
    Adams Rubble: sounds computerish
Archmage Atlantis: An emotional response from a robo box.....hiddden in a string of sound
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Archmage Atlantis: Sort of a "safe room"
Alfred Kelberry: string of sound... i like it
Alfred Kelberry: makes me think of a guitar :)
    Alfred Kelberry: and string theory
Archmage Atlantis: I adore guitar music
    Archmage Atlantis: Segovia
    Alfred Kelberry: do you play?
    Adams Rubble: very soothing
    Archmage Atlantis: No
    Archmage Atlantis: Took lessions
    Archmage Atlantis: But no skill
    Alfred Kelberry: spanish style?
Archmage Atlantis: Yes, spanish or jazz
    Alfred Kelberry: nice
Archmage Atlantis: where each sting is part of the composition
    Archmage Atlantis: brb
Alfred Kelberry: my uncle played in a band. he's really good :)
    --BELL--
    Adams Rubble: How nice Alfred
Archmage Atlantis: May I ask what music genre the band played?
    Alfred Kelberry: pop, jazz-rock, blues
    Archmage Atlantis: contemporary......nice
Alfred Kelberry: i just strum around, but really enjoy it :)
Adams Rubble: Maybe I'll dust off mine today :)
Archmage Atlantis: Adams, what could have been done by society to allveiate your crash....or did it have to happen?
    Alfred Kelberry: yes, adams! :)
Alfred Kelberry: question of free will?
Adams Rubble: I ordered two powerful strobe lights for the front and back of my bike for starters so it won;t be so easy to pretend I am not there
    Alfred Kelberry: oh, that's good
Adams Rubble: I also will be more cautious in that spot from now on
Adams Rubble: expect someone to trun
    Adams Rubble: turn
Adams Rubble: A bicycle lane might have helped make him realize he was making a right turn from the left lane
Archmage Atlantis: I just assumed there were bike lanes.....my bad
Adams Rubble: very few around here
    Archmage Atlantis: None here
    Archmage Atlantis: No sidewalks either
Adams Rubble: we haven't learned how to separate motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians in this country very well
Archmage Atlantis: One walks, one walks on the car paths
Alfred Kelberry: adams, imagine china :)
Adams Rubble: it is worse without sidewalks
Adams Rubble: fortunately we have those
Adams Rubble: very dangerous to walk in the road
Archmage Atlantis: That is why a motorized chair is of no use to me
    Adams Rubble: especially at night
    Adams Rubble: ohhh, yes
Adams Rubble wonders about strobe lights on a motorized chair
Alfred Kelberry: sorry, have to run
    Adams Rubble: bye Alfred :)
Alfred Kelberry: thank you for the company and get better soon, adams :)
    Adams Rubble: thanks Alfred
Archmage Atlantis: Bye Alfried, friend :)
Archmage Atlantis: My camera angle has me facing the grin on the pumpkins
    Adams Rubble: hehe
Adams Rubble: I usually turn mine to face me
    Archmage Atlantis: Ineresting
Archmage Atlantis: I usually try to face mine to see everyone
Adams Rubble: I move mine around when there is a big group
Archmage Atlantis: To see the reactions?
    Archmage Atlantis: Or other?
Adams Rubble: hehe, yes, of course :)
    Archmage Atlantis: k
Adams Rubble: serously, it is part of the engagement
    Archmage Atlantis: I like honesty
    --BELL--
    Archmage Atlantis: ding
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: the hour went quickly
Adams Rubble: of course I started late
