[06:51] Bertram Jacobus: wow - special time for starting of the recorder ! may be someone touched it ? :-)
    [06:51] Visitor Resident: not me
[06:52] Bertram Jacobus: hehe. but i find it really comfortable when people write something and i may consume that ...
[06:53] Bertram Jacobus: whereas the middle, also of taking and giving, looks like teh best way ... :-)
    [06:53] Visitor Resident: i agree
[06:53] Visitor Resident: but i took that way too much yesterday and not giving a word to others
[06:53] Bertram Jacobus: why was that so ?
[06:53] Visitor Resident: i went too deep
[06:54] Bertram Jacobus: what was the topic ? if i may ask ?
    [06:54] Visitor Resident: Spiritual Growth
    [06:54] Bertram Jacobus: nice ! :-)
    [06:55] Visitor Resident: where's people

[06:55] Bertram Jacobus: the buddha said : two types of communication would be okay : noble talks and noble silence. noble talks would be talks about spirituality (in my words, as i understood that) -
[06:56] Bertram Jacobus: sometimes there come many sometimes there come few
    [06:56] Visitor Resident: but
    [06:56] Visitor Resident: Noble Silence
[06:56] Visitor Resident: what type is it ?
[06:56] Bertram Jacobus: i think silence which contains awareness
[06:57] Visitor Resident: Awareness about The subject
[06:57] Visitor Resident2: Watch and learn.
    [06:57] Visitor Resident: i see
[06:57] Bertram Jacobus: yes. or pure conciousness
[06:57] Bertram Jacobus: so there may be some forms of noble silence

[06:58] Visitor Resident: But Buddhism is not all about Spiritual Growth
[06:58] Visitor Resident: Buddhism is about Mental / Spiritual / psyhical Growth and balance
[06:58] Bertram Jacobus: what is the difference ?
[06:59] Visitor Resident: you were talking about spiritual growth
[06:59] Bertram Jacobus: yes. but can´t we count mental and physical growth and balance also under the sum of spiritual groth ?
    [07:00] Visitor Resident: You see
[07:00] Visitor Resident: if there is unbalance in for example
    [07:00] Visitor Resident: Psyhical
    [07:00] Visitor Resident: or Mental
[07:00] Visitor Resident: You Become unstable

[07:00] Visitor Resident: You need to keep balance between these things
[07:00] Visitor2 Resident: I think they are all connected. They form part of a whole.
    [07:01] Bertram Jacobus: that´s what i mean 2. so i agree
[07:01] Visitor Resident: i don't say that my thoughts are true
[07:01] Visitor Resident: i just tell what i belive

[07:02] Bertram Jacobus: and i thought about the "all beings want to be happy ("enlightened") and avoid suffering. so , depending on the perspective, one could say there is nothing wich doesn´t belong to spiritual growth ?
    [07:02] Visitor Resident: noo
[07:03] Bertram Jacobus: believe is a very special aspect to me : do you mean probability or a kind of knowledge ?
    [07:03] Visitor Resident: knowledge
    [07:03] Bertram Jacobus: okay. i don´t have that ...
[07:05] Visitor Resident: dang people are late today
[07:05] Visitor Resident: its 5 min past 7 am]
[07:05] Bertram Jacobus: lol. as i said : it´s very irregular how many people come

    [07:05] Bertram Jacobus: hi susan ! :-)
[07:06] iwandertoo Resident: waves to all
[07:06] Visitor2 Resident smiles and nods to Susan
[07:06] Bertram Jacobus: were you here already and know about our recordings here susan ? and gave already your ok for it ? :-)
    [07:07] iwandertoo Resident: yes, thanks
    [07:07] Bertram Jacobus: great :-)

[07:11] Visitor Resident: So you are in buddhas ways Bertram ?
[07:11] Visitor Resident: or you just have awareness of what that is
[07:11] Bertram Jacobus: a bit, so to say, i´m not sure
[07:12] Bertram Jacobus: i´m very much linked with it, but my perspective goes wider so to say
[07:12] Bertram Jacobus: i can´t reduce my ideals so much on a certain path
    [07:12] iwandertoo Resident: ?
[07:13] Bertram Jacobus: may be a try to escape, may be correct - i don´t know ...
[07:13] Bertram Jacobus: i sometimes here buddhists whispering : our knowledge is the highest - i can´t agree to that
[07:14] Bertram Jacobus: although the buddhist teachings are very many and wonderful
[07:14] Visitor Resident: oh i understand
[07:14] iwandertoo Resident: what is meant by, "i can't reduce my ideals so much"

[07:16] Bertram Jacobus: that my conviction is : all paths which contain love are my paths, not only buddhism i meant susan
    [07:16] Bertram Jacobus: ways
    [07:17] Bertram Jacobus: teachings

[07:17] iwandertoo Resident: what is meant by, "reduce my ideals" in this context
[07:17] iwandertoo Resident: (trying to understand)
[07:17] Visitor Resident: i think you are one of those people
[07:17] Visitor Resident: who seek knowlege in
    [07:17] Visitor Resident: Religion
    [07:17] Visitor Resident: not Belief
[07:18] Bertram Jacobus: i don´t want to say buddhism would be the only or best religion. that was all i wanted to say. may be i expressed it very badly. if so - pls excuse me
[07:18] Visitor Resident: well for me i Seek knownlege in Religion not belief
[07:18] Visitor Resident: i dont deny any religion
[07:18] Visitor Resident: i dont deny cristinity nor Satanism nor paganism nor buddhism
[07:18] Bertram Jacobus: same here . but there are many understandings of the word "religion"
[07:18] iwandertoo Resident: thank you, Bertram
    [07:19] Visitor Resident: yesh exactly

[07:20] Visitor2 Resident: One may find knowledge and truth for themeselves in many religions. There are common themes such as love, brotherhood, compasion, acceptance, and forgiveness.
[07:20] Visitor2 Resident: These are things which are meaningful to me.
[07:20] Visitor Resident: Yesh there is pretty much same goal in Religions

[07:20] iwandertoo Resident: is religion needed to come to understand these things?
[07:20] Bertram Jacobus: exactly 2. again : same here
[07:21] Visitor Resident: Maybe so maybe not -Susan
[07:21] Bertram Jacobus: may be not susan, but to me "religion" means something which leads to or contains also the so so called "absolute" or "transcendent" or how ever we can name and understand it best
    [07:21] Bertram Jacobus: to me
[07:22] iwandertoo Resident: does religion = philosophy for you?
[07:22] Bertram Jacobus: and i consoder that as a very essential point
[07:22] Bertram Jacobus: no. not for me. the philosophers i often meet seem to prefere questions. i prefere answers ;-)
[07:23] Bertram Jacobus: i like a way out and don´t want to stay in (the duality, the relativity)
[07:24] Bertram Jacobus: so many typos ... sry pls
[07:25] Visitor2 Resident: So far I have found that answers are not very distinct. There are many ways to get to where one is going. The road for one may not lead to the correct destination for another.

    [07:25] Bertram Jacobus: hi ssl ! +wave* :-)
    [07:25] Bertram Jacobus: hi eliza ! :-)
    [07:25] Visitor Resident: hey ELiza
    [07:26] iwandertoo Resident: waves
    [07:26] Visitor2 Resident: Hello ladies.
[07:26] Eliza Madrigal: Hi Everyone :))

    [07:29] Bertram Jacobus: ty. i´m fine - how are you ? :-)
    [07:29] Eliza Madrigal: Well :)
[07:31] Eliza Madrigal: It is a bit hot, I'd wanted to see an art exhibit but am instead going to stay in, at least for a while ...
    [07:31] Eliza Madrigal: http://www.fairchildgarden.org/art-at-fairchild/
[07:31] SophiaSharon Larnia: great Eliza! didnt mean to stop conversation :)
    [07:32] SophiaSharon Larnia: oh wonderful
[07:32] Eliza Madrigal: oh not at all Sharon, I'd arrived just as you did
    [07:32] SophiaSharon Larnia: ok
    [07:32] iwandertoo Resident: looks lovely
    [07:32] Eliza Madrigal: :))
[07:33] Eliza Madrigal: yes, they generally do wonderful things... saw a Kusama exhibit that stretched much of the park...
    [07:33] Eliza Madrigal: just fantastic
    [07:33] SophiaSharon Larnia: very immersive
    [07:33] Eliza Madrigal: yes!
[07:33] Bertram Jacobus: that looks lovely eliza !

[07:33] Eliza Madrigal: One can suspend disbelief a lot like being in SL!
    [07:34] SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
[07:34] Eliza Madrigal: 'of course there should be sheep and 3 foot tall mushrooms scattered about..." hehe
[07:35] SophiaSharon Larnia: i see Moutons, theyre almost like sheep
[07:35] Eliza Madrigal: :)) rare to find a sheep in Miami... except a very unhappy and hot one
    [07:35] Eliza Madrigal: moutons?
[07:35] iwandertoo Resident: alligators in sheeps clothing
[07:35] SophiaSharon Larnia: thats what one of the picture displays say
    [07:35] Eliza Madrigal: hahahaha
[07:36] Eliza Madrigal: ah... I see...

[07:37] SophiaSharon Larnia: who knows maybe theyres a 3 foot tall art display placed out of no-where
[07:38] SophiaSharon Larnia: thats my favorite kind of art, odd placement, that you stumble upon
[07:38] SophiaSharon Larnia: i think its kind of an urban idea

[07:38] Eliza Madrigal: Miami is neat like this for the last several years, for instance they made these huge pink snails and put them on the cusp of a wonderful neighborhood...
    [07:38] Eliza Madrigal: YES
[07:38] Eliza Madrigal: but not sure it is good for driving, hah
    [07:38] SophiaSharon Larnia: ack :)
[07:39] Eliza Madrigal: these feel like dream things showing up in 'normal' life
[07:39] SophiaSharon Larnia: which is the intent maybe ?
[07:40] Eliza Madrigal: I think so!

[07:41] Bertram Jacobus: Visitor ? may i ask, why you feel "awkward" ? no need to answer , but ... may be you know, you feel, why people aks each other, compassion and such ...
    [07:41] Eliza Madrigal listens
[07:41] Visitor Resident: its long and pretty uninteresting story
[07:41] Bertram Jacobus: and also the magic of sharing ... making things easier ...
[07:42] SophiaSharon Larnia: ha i say that alot
    [07:42] Eliza Madrigal giggles
[07:42] Eliza Madrigal: and smiles @ 'the magic of sharing'

[07:42] Bertram Jacobus: but that is another wonder of the chat : we can experience and learn that things can be described much shorter then we sometimes think (!) -
[07:44] Bertram Jacobus: may be the magic of sharing is the welfare of gathering ... ;-)
    [07:44] Eliza Madrigal: yes
[07:47] Visitor Resident: so anyway people i think i will take my leave now :3
    [07:47] Visitor Resident: take cares
    [07:47] Visitor Resident: Namaste
    [07:47] Bertram Jacobus: ty
[07:47] Eliza Madrigal: ah, okay. :) Namaste'

    [07:48] SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
    [07:48] Eliza Madrigal smiles
    [07:49] Eliza Madrigal: hah, Bert
[07:49] Bertram Jacobus: you did it also before : help the harmony to grow
[07:49] Bertram Jacobus: both you girls :-)
[07:49] Bertram Jacobus: who came later :-)
    [07:49] SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
[07:49] Bertram Jacobus: by choosing nice places here
    [07:49] Bertram Jacobus: nice positions
[07:50] Bertram Jacobus: leaving nobody alone
[07:50] Bertram Jacobus: except he wants it
    [07:50] Eliza Madrigal smiles
[07:50] SophiaSharon Larnia: yes pretty sensitive to that
[07:50] Bertram Jacobus: who ? we all ?
[07:50] SophiaSharon Larnia: as big as this pavilion is
    [07:51] Eliza Madrigal nods
[07:51] SophiaSharon Larnia: we all, yes
[07:51] Bertram Jacobus: i live the pavillion

    [07:51] Eliza Madrigal: :))
[07:51] Bertram Jacobus: live love love live

[07:51] Eliza Madrigal: I'm still rolling over the phrase 'magic of sharing'...
[07:52] Eliza Madrigal: guess that's part of our body language/movement here...
[07:52] Eliza Madrigal: how we choose our space?
[07:52] Bertram Jacobus: in which way ? what do you think, associate ?
    [07:52] Bertram Jacobus: ah ...
    [07:52] Bertram Jacobus: yess
[07:52] Eliza Madrigal: yesterday in the time session we talked about 'walls' and 'gates' and alarms, etc
[07:53] Eliza Madrigal: boundaries I guess
[07:53] Bertram Jacobus: you found a or some result(s) ?
[07:54] Eliza Madrigal: no, but it was interesting to consider layers of communication
    [07:54] Eliza Madrigal: :)
[07:54] SophiaSharon Larnia: sharing makes boundaries thin
[07:54] Eliza Madrigal: yes :) open spaces...

[07:54] Bertram Jacobus: ken wilber, an american psycologist with spiritual background, says that "boundries also are points of meetings"
    [07:55] Eliza Madrigal: Nice!
[07:55] Bertram Jacobus: yes. a very good and true insight
[07:55] Eliza Madrigal: saying that the things that divide us are also the things that unite us? or?
[07:56] Bertram Jacobus: in a way _ yes
[07:56] SophiaSharon Larnia is very behind in her reading
[07:56] Eliza Madrigal: we're taking a 2 week break Sharon, so that may help :)
    [07:56] Bertram Jacobus: :-)

[07:56] SophiaSharon Larnia: oh :) Yes, the rl retreat in italy is coming up
    [07:56] Eliza Madrigal nods, sigh
    [07:56] Eliza Madrigal: :)
[07:57] SophiaSharon Larnia: ha :) I take it your not going to this one
[07:57] Bertram Jacobus: agrees in sighing
[07:57] Eliza Madrigal: sigh again, surely not
    [07:57] Eliza Madrigal: :))
[07:57] Bertram Jacobus: assisi is such a good idea ! sounds as such a good place !
[07:57] SophiaSharon Larnia: as much as I appreciate the rl reteat, theres no way I could go to italy and just got to the retreat, id need a few more weeks there ^^
[07:58] SophiaSharon Larnia: ok at least 2? lol
[07:58] Eliza Madrigal: true, that would be tough
    [07:58] iwandertoo Resident: nods

[07:59] Bertram Jacobus: sings silently "if i were a rich man - di di di di di di di di di di di di di di deeee"
[07:59] SophiaSharon Larnia: hehehe Bert! yes
[07:59] Eliza Madrigal: haha, love the fiddler...
[07:59] Eliza Madrigal: OR go the way Aph went for weeks and learned to cook...
    [07:59] SophiaSharon Larnia: yes fun!
[07:59] Bertram Jacobus smiles with a little tear in his eye ...
[08:00] SophiaSharon Larnia: id have to go and work there, to pay for it, be a traveling bum :D

[08:00] SophiaSharon Larnia: im poorer in money these days
[08:01] Eliza Madrigal: but in the rest? more spacious?
[08:01] iwandertoo Resident: best to everyone
[08:01] Bertram Jacobus: but complaining would be unfair - regarding to so much suffering in the world ...
[08:01] Eliza Madrigal: NIce to see you again Susan :)
[08:01] SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Susan nice to see you
[08:01] iwandertoo Resident: you as well
    [08:02] Bertram Jacobus: byee susan
    [08:02] iwandertoo Resident: waves

[08:02] SophiaSharon Larnia: i liitlte more spacious :) money never meant that much to me anyway
[08:02] Bertram Jacobus: and - may be - it´s the mind which is the creator in the end (!) ...
[08:03] Eliza Madrigal: we are indeed priveleged... still, remarking on one's sense of situation seems important ...
[08:03] Eliza Madrigal: think so Bert?
[08:03] Bertram Jacobus: i don´t know. i still try to find out ...
    [08:03] Eliza Madrigal: :)
[08:04] Bertram Jacobus: i know some faults of my thinking ...
    [08:04] Eliza Madrigal: such as?
[08:04] Bertram Jacobus: of my feelings ...
[08:05] Bertram Jacobus: fear and feeling unmighty and such ...
    [08:05] Eliza Madrigal: ah
    [08:05] Bertram Jacobus: suffering ...
[08:05] Bertram Jacobus: but or only sometimes also being free of all that, luckily
[08:05] Eliza Madrigal: mind pitfalls and potholes ?
    [08:06] SophiaSharon Larnia: heh
    [08:06] Bertram Jacobus: sure. yes.
[08:06] SophiaSharon Larnia: i havent heard that yet, mind potholes
    [08:06] Eliza Madrigal: hehe
[08:06] SophiaSharon Larnia: how apt, bump!!
    [08:06] SophiaSharon Larnia: oooch

[08:06] Eliza Madrigal: that's the way I experience it somehow... like smooth and then 'what was that?'
[08:07] Eliza Madrigal: then on the side of the road with the tire and sheesh
    [08:07] Eliza Madrigal: :)
    [08:07] SophiaSharon Larnia: ha! yes
[08:07] Eliza Madrigal: but pema might say there's no road, so...
[08:07] SophiaSharon Larnia: wow very laggy sorry
[08:08] Bertram Jacobus: "use the stones on your way to fill the potholes" ...
[08:08] Eliza Madrigal: :))) or at least for the next guy...
    [08:08] Bertram Jacobus: lol
[08:08] SophiaSharon Larnia: true Eliza lol

[08:09] Eliza Madrigal sees Bert looking for his groove
    [08:09] Eliza Madrigal: laughs
    [08:09] Eliza Madrigal: tada!
    [08:09] SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
    [08:09] Bertram Jacobus: :-))
[08:10] SophiaSharon Larnia: yes that analogy would impliy you drive over your mind roads over and over
