    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Susan
    iwandertoo Resident: hi Aggers
    Agatha Macbeth: Are you well?
iwandertoo Resident: i am, thank you. you?
Agatha Macbeth: Yes fine thx :)
    iwandertoo Resident: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Seems a bit slow tonight
    iwandertoo Resident: yes, seems so.
iwandertoo Resident: perhaps they will come in a bit of time
Agatha Macbeth: How long have you been coming to PaB now?
    iwandertoo Resident: 4-6 weeks (?)
    iwandertoo Resident: not sure
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, right
Agatha Macbeth: Just wondered what brought you here?
Agatha Macbeth: ie, how you found out about us :)
iwandertoo Resident: i was wandering and met Stevenaia. we had a conversation for some time and she invited me to PaB.
    Agatha Macbeth: I see
Agatha Macbeth: I found it completely by accident
    iwandertoo Resident: wandered upon it?
Agatha Macbeth: Arrived at Hanja welcome centre and went in a random direction
Agatha Macbeth: and ended up here! :p
Agatha Macbeth: I didn't have a clue what everyone was doing

    (Often I still don't!)
iwandertoo Resident: this is how i met Stevenaia...i came to Bieup and met her at her drafting table
    iwandertoo Resident: haha
    iwandertoo Resident: ::)
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: And I often think
Agatha Macbeth: if I had taken another direction
Agatha Macbeth: I would never have arrived here in the first place!
    Wol Euler: evening all!
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello :)
    iwandertoo Resident: waves
    Agatha Macbeth wolhugs
Agatha Macbeth: Sue and i were just discussing how we each found PaB Wol
    Wol Euler: ah :)
Agatha Macbeth: Fael introduced you, I think?
    Wol Euler: yes
Wol Euler: we met by chance in a skins shop and liked each other's avs so we started talking
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Agatha Macbeth: That doesn't surprise me
    Wol Euler smiles.
Agatha Macbeth: In fact, I remember reading your first session in the logs
    Wol Euler: really? wow
Wol Euler: I'd have to go back and read them to find out when that was
Agatha Macbeth: At the old pavilion
    Wol Euler nods.
    Agatha Macbeth: June 2008?
    Wol Euler: ah :)
    Agatha Macbeth: (I think)
Agatha Macbeth: Sue came here the same way as me, just wandered in :p
Wol Euler: well, forgive me but that isn't quite how I remember it ;-)
    Agatha Macbeth: ??
Wol Euler: as I recall, you hung about on the balconies for ages, listening in but somehow not coming down to talk to us
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh yes...
Wol Euler: I practically had to throw bricks at you to get you to come
    Wol Euler smiles.
Agatha Macbeth: But I wanted to find out what was going on first
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Wol Euler: (sorry, didn't mean to kill the conversation)
    Agatha Macbeth: You didn't :p
Agatha Macbeth: So what d'you think of Pab so far Sue?
    iwandertoo Resident: i like listening
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Agatha Macbeth: Me too, tho I still often don't know what's going on!
    iwandertoo Resident: laughing...yes.
    Wol Euler: :)
    Wol Euler: me three :)
iwandertoo Resident: it feels benevolent here
Agatha Macbeth: Ah well, one day perhaps...
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh it is!
    Wol Euler: definitely
iwandertoo Resident: and listening to everyone's journey - their way...is helpful
Agatha Macbeth: When we don't get griefers that is
Agatha Macbeth: Plenty of journeys here...
    iwandertoo Resident: are there griefers?
    Wol Euler: yep
Wol Euler: not many, but they exist
iwandertoo Resident: i don't think i have experienced a griefer yet
Agatha Macbeth: Yeah, Liz got one last week
Agatha Macbeth: but they are few and far between (fortunately)
Wol Euler: my impression is that there are far fewer than there were say 3 years ago
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe they moved on
Wol Euler: perhaps griefing declines as it gets harder?
    Agatha Macbeth: Could be
Wol Euler: 3 years ago you could crash a sim by getting 25 people to stand on it :)
iwandertoo Resident: how has it become harder?
Wol Euler: that's one way :) it no longer works
Agatha Macbeth: Sometimes you still can :p
Wol Euler: the software is getting more stable and robust
Agatha Macbeth: Yeah, they'll probably close down just as LL perfect it! :D
    Wol Euler: heheh
    Wol Euler: nice outfit, btw
    Agatha Macbeth whispers: ty :)
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Agatha Macbeth didn't whisper
Agatha Macbeth: Just tryin to remember where I got it
Wol Euler: 's ok I already found the maker's profile
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh I remember...
Agatha Macbeth: it's that place with the lesbian hangout next to it
    Wol Euler grins.
Wol Euler: that narrows it down very little actually!
    Agatha Macbeth: Well, true
Agatha Macbeth: I think Sabine somebody is the owner
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, the Harem, that's it
    Wol Euler: :)
Agatha Macbeth: That's the club I think, not the shop :)
    Wol Euler: yep
Wol Euler: the store is C&P :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Right
    Wol Euler: C&S sorry
    Agatha Macbeth: Not C & A
    Wol Euler: nope
Wol Euler: though C&A are pretty good actually
    Agatha Macbeth: Mmmm
Wol Euler bites her tongue to cut short a really dull conversation
Agatha Macbeth thinks of the mindfullness of C & A
    Wol Euler: :)
Agatha Macbeth: The Tao of shopping
    Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: Do I see Zen materialising?
    Wol Euler: hello zen
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes! Hiya Zen

Wol Euler: "The next four-year retreats for both men and women are scheduled to begin in 2015. Those wishing to take part are recommended to have completed at least one year of retreat prior to that." WOW.
    Zen Arado: yeh
Agatha Macbeth: That's how I like it! :p
Agatha Macbeth: Hang on, four year retreats?
Zen Arado: they sit for an hour for meditation
Wol Euler: I can't imagine how people take four years off to retreatify.
Wol Euler: how do they pay for it?
Agatha Macbeth: Yeah, would need to be retired first
Wol Euler: (sorry to be so mundane)

    Wol Euler: ah :)
    Wol Euler: do tell.

Zen Arado: I'm not considering it :)
Zen Arado: no - there are lots of monks there
Zen Arado: it's becoming a monk really (or nun)
Agatha Macbeth: A bit like the place in Kung Fu then?

Agatha Macbeth: Now THAT should be answered 'yes'
    Wol Euler smiles.
Aphrodite Macbain: but a punch line nevertheless
    Agatha Macbeth: Some punch eh?

    Aphrodite Macbain: yech
    Agatha Macbeth: That's his nose
    Zen Arado: evasive action

Zen Arado: leting go of negative emotions
Zen Arado: is a good practice
Agatha Macbeth: It's a good trick if you can do it
Zen Arado: just let them come and go without holding on to them
Zen Arado: (thought for the day)
Agatha Macbeth: They seem to hold on to *me*!
Zen Arado: Ringu Tulku said that
    Agatha Macbeth: I'll phone him
Zen Arado: and then the joyful ones have space to manifest
    Zen Arado: seems sensible?
Agatha Macbeth: Sensible yet difficult maybe
Zen Arado: yeh it's a practice
    Agatha Macbeth: Practice makes perfect

I press Boxy with no result...

Zen Arado: very simple and direct
Eliza Madrigal: was there a specific topic, Zen?
    Zen Arado: yes
Zen Arado: 'The ground , path and fruition'
    Zen Arado: a text
Zen Arado: I'll have to look it up
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes, do
Eliza Madrigal: "simple and direct" is high praise from a zen guy :))
Zen Arado: but he answered a lot of general questions too
Wol Euler excuses herself. I have some errands to run before logging off, and it's coming up to midnight.
Wol Euler: goodnight all, take care
    Eliza Madrigal: Night Wol :)

Zen Arado: only think I find they really worship the teachers in Tibetan Buddhism
Zen Arado: they all prostrate in front of him when he enters
Eliza Madrigal: yes that bothers a lot of Westerners ...
    Zen Arado: yeh
    Zen Arado: it's my conditionng
Eliza Madrigal: It bothers some people for a minister in a Christian church to be up on a stage...
    Zen Arado: yeh
Zen Arado: or have music in a church
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: or >gasp< a guitar

    Zen Arado: a guitar?
    Zen Arado: sacrilege
Eliza Madrigal: just remembering back to days when people began to suggest maybe every song didn't need to be from the hymnal
Zen Arado: they wouldn't let us in Boxy
    Zen Arado: yeh me too
Zen Arado: and it all went happy clappy
Eliza Madrigal: but the point about teacher worship is interesting
Agatha Macbeth: Can't beat a happy clap
Eliza Madrigal: you didn't feel awkward?
    Eliza Madrigal: hehe Agatha
Zen Arado: well...I don't have to do prostratins

    Eliza Madrigal grins
    Zen Arado: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I was reading about karmic links..
Zen Arado: maybe I should write about my visit
    Zen Arado: yes?
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: Put it on your Guardian space in the wiki
Eliza Madrigal: and I guess that the worship (though I really wouldn't call it that) is about that... that one's 'true teacher' comes and there is a refuge taken/acknowledgement, etc
Eliza Madrigal: I'd love to read that Zen
    Zen Arado: it's a good practice...writing..
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes!
Zen Arado: whether anyone reads it or not
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: but it helps to write when you think there is a reader
    Zen Arado: yeh
Agatha Macbeth: I find i'm reading the wiki far more lately
    Eliza Madrigal: a captivated audience
    Eliza Madrigal: you are?
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm
    Zen Arado: captive audience?
Agatha Macbeth: Looking for the hidden bits
    Zen Arado: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: ah :))
Eliza Madrigal: I like to see when people add things to their pages they like
Zen Arado: yeh the interesting details
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, I wish people would use their contribution space more...
Zen Arado: I'l do it tomorrow
    Zen Arado: start it anyway
Eliza Madrigal: (sorry zen I was mixing the guru and sense of audience)
Eliza Madrigal: will keep checking zen
Eliza Madrigal: I'm actually addicted to 'recent changes'
Agatha Macbeth: Is that still in?
Zen Arado: better get some sleep then
Eliza Madrigal nods... every morning I hit that button :)
Zen Arado: before my big writing task ;)
Agatha Macbeth: Funny, I thought Cal took it out to speed things up
Eliza Madrigal: so if someone updates a hidden page, I catch it
Eliza Madrigal: :)) Bye Zen, night
    Agatha Macbeth: Good :)
    Zen Arado: nite :)
Agatha Macbeth: I'd better go too, the night draws on...
