The Guardian for this meeting was Agatha Macbeth. The comments are by Agatha Macbeth.  The session began with Eherim making a number of highly unsuccessful attempts to rez in the PaBgoda:

    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Eherim
Agatha Macbeth: I can tell by the mask, you have been here before :p
    Agatha Macbeth: (and met Yaku)
Agatha Macbeth: At this point, Eherim poofed...
    Agatha Macbeth: wb :)
    Agatha Macbeth: and your tea
    Agatha Macbeth: And gone again...
Agatha Macbeth: This is getting quite the one-sided conversation
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Sharon :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Agatha :) Hi Eherim, hi Storm :)
Agatha Macbeth: Nice to see you
Agatha Macbeth: Eherim seems to be having major probs logging in
    Storm Nordwind: Hi all
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ooh
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Stormy
Agatha Macbeth: She's been in and out three times thus far
    SophiaSharon Larnia: whoa
SophiaSharon Larnia: gotta appreciate the preserverance
Agatha Macbeth: Probably on a laptop ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: And gone again...  (this time she gave up, evidently)
SophiaSharon Larnia: so hows the queen aggers?
    Agatha Macbeth: Which one?
SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs, i dont know about you, but im kind of tired of hearing about a wedding in the uk, in the usa :)
Storm Nordwind wonders whether Sharon meant "the queen, Aggers" or "the Queen Aggers" :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: giggles
Agatha Macbeth: YOU'RE getting fed up of it?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: i knows right
Agatha Macbeth: I'm sick to death of it
Storm Nordwind: Why do you think I emigrated? ;)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :P
    Agatha Macbeth: Well, yeah
Agatha Macbeth: Never have this trouble with presidents' sons
Storm Nordwind: Only putative president's daughters
    SophiaSharon Larnia: erk yes
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, dunno about that
SophiaSharon Larnia: are the english a more gossipy bunch or does it just seem that way?
Agatha Macbeth: What gets me is that the idiots decide to get married a week after easter and right before the bank holiday, consequently the country grinds to a halt
    Storm Nordwind: more than...?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: ha Aggers
    Agatha Macbeth: Brainless or what?
SophiaSharon Larnia: maybe it was aspicious
    SophiaSharon Larnia: to someone
Agatha Macbeth: Not the word I was thinking of
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
Storm Nordwind quite likes aspicious... imagined them being preserved in jelly :)
Agatha Macbeth: Thought it was an illness
Agatha Macbeth: Nice hair Shaz :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: had a picture of that in a jar for some reason Storm
    SophiaSharon Larnia: thanks :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Nice colour [grin]
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :D
SophiaSharon Larnia: ive been reluctant to wear it because its "your" color
    Agatha Macbeth: Naah
Agatha Macbeth: I often have dark hair
Agatha Macbeth: Just depends what goes with what I'm wearing
SophiaSharon Larnia: i dont know i just know longer in sl get paler and paler
    Agatha Macbeth: You?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Agatha Macbeth: When we first met you had big hair
    Agatha Macbeth: Blonde
SophiaSharon Larnia: one of these days ill plump myself up and look like my rl avatar
Agatha Macbeth: I remember it well
    SophiaSharon Larnia: big hair hmm
    SophiaSharon Larnia: lol
Agatha Macbeth: It was very nice as I recall
Storm Nordwind couldn't find an avatar big enough to mimic his rl shape :/
SophiaSharon Larnia: i absolutely have no memory of hat
    SophiaSharon Larnia: that
    SophiaSharon Larnia: lol Storm
    Agatha Macbeth: Aw, Stormy
Storm Nordwind: I gave up long ago trying to make a fascimile
    Agatha Macbeth: Size isn't everything...
SophiaSharon Larnia: i did make an avatr that ooked like my rl self once, it freaked me out
    Storm Nordwind: hehe
    Agatha Macbeth grins @ Shaz
SophiaSharon Larnia: although i do somewhat resemble this one lol
    SophiaSharon Larnia: grins
Storm Nordwind: I'd need long long hair in ringlets too
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yay
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
SophiaSharon Larnia: i have a theory, i dont know how true it is, if d like to test it sometime
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm?
    Storm Nordwind listens
SophiaSharon Larnia: a sl avatar with a pronounce body part, such as eyes a certain way, or a mouth shaped a certain way, does resemble the rl avatar, no matter what gender it is
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh, true
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Chi
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Chi
Agatha Macbeth: People tend to focus on certain features I guess
    Chi Aho: Hello everyone!
Storm Nordwind: You mean accidentally Sharon?
SophiaSharon Larnia: or they are used to a certain look, which seem right to them
    Agatha Macbeth: Could be
SophiaSharon Larnia: maybe accidently only as in incidently
    Storm Nordwind: Ah, I see
SophiaSharon Larnia: it looks and feels 'right' when they look at it
    Agatha Macbeth: Yep
    Agatha Macbeth: Makes sense
Agatha Macbeth: Looks like Eherim gave up trying to get in
SophiaSharon Larnia: so sometimes i may focus on a certain aspect of appearance when talking to someone and getting really curious as to what they look like in rl
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bad me :)
    Agatha Macbeth: That's interesting :)
Agatha Macbeth: Are you here yet Chi?
    Chi Aho: oh, yes.
Storm Nordwind looks at his almost never changing avatar... blue eyes (check), beard (well, much smaller and tidier than in RL, but check), tall (check), "light" colored hair (check nowadays)... there the resembalnce ends!
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, just checking
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hehe
Agatha Macbeth: Well, my hair and eyes are the right colour :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
SophiaSharon Larnia: id guessed that from the picture of the baby <3
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
    SophiaSharon Larnia: the hair anyway
Agatha Macbeth: (I'm the one on the right btw)
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh wow thank you
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha!
SophiaSharon Larnia: im rather red too
SophiaSharon Larnia: tho not as red
Agatha Macbeth: There's a few of us about
Agatha Macbeth: Specially in scotland and ireland
SophiaSharon Larnia: just musing if singling out an aspect of appearance is a bad thing
Agatha Macbeth: Depends if it's you or someone else :p
SophiaSharon Larnia: could apply to either
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm, perhaps
Agatha Macbeth: I'd rather single out other peoples' odd features than my own!
SophiaSharon Larnia: i tend to turn the spotlight more on myself than others
Agatha Macbeth: Oh no, fatal move
SophiaSharon Larnia: in the sense i judge it more harshly
    Storm Nordwind rarely notices either
    SophiaSharon Larnia: right
    SophiaSharon Larnia: (to aggers)
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I judge myself harder than anyone too
    Agatha Macbeth: Too much sometimes
Chi Aho: Isn't that ego talking to you?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: sure
Storm Nordwind knows that some people will think he's an idiot, at least some of time, so he might as well admit it up front :)
Agatha Macbeth: Glad you're awake Chi :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: i must have a huge ego then
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Ara :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Arabella :)
    arabella Ella: Hiya!
SophiaSharon Larnia: long time no see :)
    Storm Nordwind waves
arabella Ella: yes I just got back from a vacation in Armenia
    Agatha Macbeth: Armenia? Wow
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh wowww what was that like?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Eden :)
Agatha Macbeth: Hello again Edie :)
arabella Ella: it was an amazing experience
arabella Ella: with Easter day in Vienna on my way back home
    Eden Haiku: Hllo everyone:)
    arabella Ella: Hiya Eden!
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Eden
    Chi Aho: Hello, Eden.
Agatha Macbeth: Why armenia particularly? Any reason?
arabella Ella: the opportunity arose to visit with a group of friends and i took it up as it is a place I always wanted to visit
    Agatha Macbeth: Right, good
Agatha Macbeth: Did you enjoy it?
arabella Ella: I found it amazing that Armenia has its own christian church and its own alphabet
Agatha Macbeth: I know about the alphabet, yes
arabella Ella: i enjoyed it tremendously the country somehow grows on you
Eden Haiku: Saw a great Armenian/French movie filmed in Armenia. Beautiful place.
Agatha Macbeth: Not about the church tho
    Chi Aho: Not Eastern Orthodox?
arabella Ella: and the people gave us their hearts
arabella Ella: their hospitality is awesome in spite of the poverty
Agatha Macbeth: They wouldn't want mine :p
    Eden Haiku: ah!!!
arabella Ella: their church is the Armenian Apolostic Church said to be one of the oldest christian religions
    Agatha Macbeth nods
arabella Ella: i thought it was similar to orthodox but they dont like to see it as similar they see themselves as unique
    Agatha Macbeth: Fair enough :)
arabella Ella: their landscapes are amazing as the country is very mountanous
arabella Ella: lots of snow still
arabella Ella: and most ppl live in the capital Yerevan
Agatha Macbeth: Don't know much about the place to be honest
arabella Ella: it is full of remote ancient monastries and lots of archaeological sites
Agatha Macbeth: Are things there better or worse since the USSR split?
arabella Ella: i think the monastries are remote due to the idea of cutting themselves off from the world for contemplation
    Agatha Macbeth nods
arabella Ella: economically they are worse off since their split from the USSR but many have also emigrated either to the states or to russia to find work so they have a huge diaspora
    Agatha Macbeth nods
arabella Ella: and of course they now have freedom of thought but they are very poor
Agatha Macbeth: There's a lot of it about
    arabella Ella nods
Agatha Macbeth: And they have a permanent disagreement with Azerbaijan over Nogorno karabakh
arabella Ella: yes and it seems to be a religious / ethnic conflict with snipers at the border with Azerbajan
arabella Ella: as we travelled we met quite a few Armenians from California
    Eden Haiku: snipers, ouch!
Agatha Macbeth: Very similar situation to N. Ireland unfortunately
arabella Ella: and quite a few from Russia too
arabella Ella: yes the situation with that conflict is sad
arabella Ella: our driver showed me photos of his 20 year old son who is in the military at the Azerbajan border
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: 20, such a shame
arabella Ella: during the beginning of the last century they also suffered a terrible genocide at the hands of the Turks
arabella Ella: no love lost there
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes, true
    Eden Haiku: yes, armenian genocide...
Agatha Macbeth: When it was part of the Ottoman Empire
arabella Ella: their sacred mountain on which Noas Arch was said to land after the floods is now on turkish territory
    Agatha Macbeth: Ararat?
arabella Ella: i think the genocide happened more recently after the Ottomans
arabella Ella: yes Mount Ararat which is magnificent in its splendour and majesty
    Agatha Macbeth: Trying to remember...
Agatha Macbeth: Around the 1890s I thought
    Eden Haiku: 1910 or 1920...
arabella Ella: i think it was 1920s
    Eden Haiku: Google help us!
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh, was it?
    arabella Ella: yes
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe there was more than one
Agatha Macbeth: Or am I thinking of Bulgaria?
Eden Haiku: deliberate and systematic destruction of the Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire during and just after World War "
arabella Ella: as far as I can recall the ottomans came earlier as they also tried to take over Malta in the 16th century and later hungary and Austria
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
SophiaSharon Larnia: per google: From 1915 to 1918, 1.5 million Armenians were killed in the Ottoman Empire.
Eden Haiku: No, we were all right:
SophiaSharon Larnia: hope the sites reliable :)
Agatha Macbeth: Ottoman Empire ended by Kemal Attaturk in 1922 I think
arabella Ella: now they have a huge museum and monuments in memory of the genocide
Storm Nordwind doesn't know, so listens and learns
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes, not surprising
arabella Ella: they see themselves as being the last outpost of christianity in that part of the world
SophiaSharon Larnia: just feels sad at the tribalism
    Agatha Macbeth: They are too
arabella Ella: yes conflict is always sad
arabella Ella: but they definitely have a strong sense of identity
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh sure
arabella Ella: we met a group visiting from LA with their kids
arabella Ella: and they were in a restuarant for lunch with us
    Agatha Macbeth: Nice
arabella Ella: and they were teaching their kids who go to an Armenian school in LA their revolutionary songs in Armenian
    Agatha Macbeth: Sounds depressingly familiar
arabella Ella: Aggers you would love their phrase for thank you!
Agatha Macbeth: Oh, let's hear it!
arabella Ella: it is ... wait for this ... phoenitically written ... Barry Lewis
    Agatha Macbeth: Barry Lewis?
arabella Ella: believe it or not ... yes!
Agatha Macbeth: That means thank you?
    arabella Ella: yes
SophiaSharon Larnia: heh barry lewis arabella
    arabella Ella: LOL!
Agatha Macbeth: What's 'go away' then ? Fred Smith?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :D
arabella Ella: that is the only phrase i could manage although colloqually they also say merci
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I can manage that :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
    Agatha Macbeth ruffles Sharon's hair
arabella Ella: they certainly have a lot of potential for tourism in the future
    SophiaSharon Larnia: sighs :)
arabella Ella: and i predict the country may change a lot in the next 10 years or so
Agatha Macbeth: Not if everyone keeps leaving!
arabella Ella: well they lack infrastructure
Agatha Macbeth: I can believe it
SophiaSharon Larnia: got caught up reading up on armenian archeology
Chi Aho: Do they have a free market?
arabella Ella: but armenians who leave then support NGOs which help to revive the country
    Agatha Macbeth: An interesting subject
arabella Ella: oh SSL the archaeology is incredibly amazing! I was really impressed!
    SophiaSharon Larnia: i bet!
    Agatha Macbeth: Sounds good :)
arabella Ella: lots of ancient fortified cities and roman and greek remains too
Agatha Macbeth: Folks, I have another meeting at 2.00 PM, so must leave early tonite
Agatha Macbeth: I have the log
    Storm Nordwind: Bye Agatha
arabella Ella: one cud easily imagine Ghengis Khan or Marco Polo riding through there
