The Guardian for this meeting was Pema Pera. The comments are by Pema Pera.

    Yakuzza Lethecus: good morning
    Pema Pera: hi Yaku!
    Pema Pera: good afternoon :-)
    Pema Pera: how are you?
Yakuzza Lethecus: pretty well, just experimented with the flycam in secondlife and with some silly gestures and different avatar
Pema Pera: what is a flycam?
Yakuzza Lethecus: ah, if you use a joystick or a 3d mouse you can fly with the camera very smooth
Yakuzza Lethecus: not like when you use alt and left mousbutton
    Yakuzza Lethecus: http://de.xfire.com/video/4512ab/
Pema Pera: ah, nice; you mean from a game console?
    Pema Pera: hi Freud!
Yakuzza Lethecus: for example, i am still a noob with machinima at least there isn´t a hud in the picture now and the cam is smoother
    Freud Jungsten: Heya
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey freud
Pema Pera: ah, so can use the flycam to make machinema?
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, i guess that´s it´s main purpose
    Pema Pera: is that difficult?
Yakuzza Lethecus: no not that much, well for perfectionists yes
    Pema Pera: :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: it all depends on our level of demand how difficult thigns are
Pema Pera: yes, i guess it's relative :-)
Pema Pera: good to see you, Freud, how are things with you?
Freud Jungsten: Good I guess.. getting close to finals.
Freud Jungsten: Done with tax season at work.
Pema Pera: while studying for your finals, what area do you find most interesting?
Freud Jungsten: Good question, lots of interesting stuff.
Freud Jungsten: Reading some stuff on how the recent financial meltdown acted in similar ways to diseases in terms of their spread.
    Pema Pera: oh, how interesting!
Freud Jungsten: It is... there are starting points on you can sort of trace how it went from one institution to the next
Pema Pera: it probably took only a few months, for all the infections to spread?
Pema Pera: or perhaps the first few symptoms took longer to be shared?
Freud Jungsten: There were different layers, but once each layer started it spread quickly.
Freud Jungsten: But just like in real disease, you can carry but not by symptomatic.
Freud Jungsten: And so were some economies.... carrying some illness with the strenght of other parts.
Pema Pera: now that is interesting; can you give an example?
Freud Jungsten: But eventully all the rot overcame the economic momentum.
Freud Jungsten: Well, one started back with the internet bubble.
Freud Jungsten: It was assumed that all that growth would be sustained, and those in goverement wronte checks on it.
Freud Jungsten: SO that is a good place to start.
Freud Jungsten: Then there are layers of entitelments.
Freud Jungsten: Corperate criminal missmanagement like Madoff and Enron.
Freud Jungsten: Then the pressure to let high risk mortgages.
Pema Pera: the internet bubble, was that the dot com bubble of the late nineties?
Freud Jungsten: I all added up.
    Freud Jungsten: Yes.
Pema Pera: ah, so it was ten years in the making?
Freud Jungsten: A couple of authors push it back to then yes.
Freud Jungsten: But it does seem there is a lot of political pressure to blame certain people more than others.... sad but reality.
Pema Pera: it all hangs togther, yes, quite a difficult question how to improve let along overhaul the system . . . .
Pema Pera: Before you dropped by, Yaku and I were talking about making movies in SL
Pema Pera: have you ever tried that?
Freud Jungsten: The more in depth questions though are if goverment regulations helped this happen, or made it not so bad.
Yakuzza Lethecus: nah, i like the subject :)
Pema Pera: machinema, they are called
Yakuzza Lethecus: but i can´t contribute too much and am emotionally biased and wonder about aspects in our financial systems alot
Yakuzza Lethecus: so i didn´t feel excluded
Pema Pera: in what way do you feel biased, Freud?
Freud Jungsten: Yes, lol...back in like 2006 I did some porn stuff.... silly looking back.
    Pema Pera: :-)
Yakuzza Lethecus: especially considering that states and government in the united states accumulated arund 50 trillion of debt all together
Freud Jungsten: Well basically it is mostly the Rep/Dem silliness.
Pema Pera: how did that porn stuff connect with the economy, if I may ask, Freud -- ever so curious :)
Pema Pera: or oh, with movies?
Freud Jungsten: lol... I never got a royalty check from it.
    Freud Jungsten: So someone profited....
Pema Pera: sorry, trying to disentangle the two threads :-)
Freud Jungsten: The economics of porn are probably very interesting.
Pema Pera: probably pretty stable, even during depressions, I would guess
Freud Jungsten: I did a short paper on non SDT epidemiology in the porn industry.
Freud Jungsten: I just dont think it is a healthy industry....
Pema Pera: what is non SDT?
    Freud Jungsten: My bad spelling.
    Freud Jungsten: STD.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: propably STD
    Freud Jungsten: Sexually Transmitted Disease.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: sexually transmitted disease
    Freud Jungsten: Nice
    Pema Pera: ah, okay
Freud Jungsten: So what sort of movies where you talking about making?
Pema Pera: and yes, Yaku, it's amazing how much governments have spent on de economic downturn
Yakuzza Lethecus thinks of the scandal the the us founded research in the 50th in peru were ppl were using as ginnipigs
Freud Jungsten: Not just in Peru...
    Freud Jungsten: The Tuskegge folks.
Freud Jungsten: And al the military people deliberatly exposed to neuclear stuff and chemical weapons.
    Pema Pera: yes
Freud Jungsten: Every country has its dirty history.
Freud Jungsten: Think I am going to go take a nap for some reason.
Freud Jungsten: Thanks for the chat though.
    Pema Pera: same here, Freud!
Freud Jungsten: do na da go hv i
Pema Pera: en jij ook tot ziens!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: take care freud
    Yakuzza Lethecus: thx for sharing
Pema Pera: well, I'll take off too
Yakuzza Lethecus: nice to see you around
Pema Pera: I've taken half a dozen slots this week, I believe
Pema Pera: including my own soon :-)
Pema Pera: so I try to keep them to half an hour
Pema Pera: good seeing you again, Yaku!
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, i think it became kind of forgotten that 30 min was the initial time for a session
    Yakuzza Lethecus: forgotton
Pema Pera: I prefer an hour
Pema Pera: if I have the time
Pema Pera: like when I have only one session for which I am the guardian, in a week
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, well everryone usually tries to do that :)
Pema Pera: but it's nice to be flexible
Yakuzza Lethecus: anyway, have a great afternoon
    Pema Pera: c u !
