Wol Euler was guardian for this chatty and wide-ranging session.

    Wol Euler: good morning, egg
    Wol Euler: nice dress
    eggsalad Ormstein: nice tag! lol

My group tag was "Token dull person".

    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: I should change that, since I'm guardian today

Changed my group tag to "PAB Host".

eggsalad Ormstein: that's even more dull! hahah
    Wol Euler smiles.
eggsalad Ormstein: so what's knew on that side of the pond?
    eggsalad Ormstein: new*
Wol Euler: winter again, the temperature dropped by 10 degrees on the weekend
eggsalad Ormstein: funny, so did ours.
    Wol Euler: huh
    eggsalad Ormstein: down to 24C
Wol Euler: perhaps it's because of Fukushima?!?!?!?!?!? ZOMG
eggsalad Ormstein: or that darn global warming!
eggsalad Ormstein: should be 32c+ here by now
    Wol Euler nods.

Wol Euler: "global warming" is a misnomer. The point isn't that it necessarily gets warmer, but that it will change unpredictably and irreversably
eggsalad Ormstein: yes, they gave it a poor name
Wol Euler: there will be deserts where there were swamps, etc
Wol Euler: with all that implies for food production.
eggsalad Ormstein: moving off that topic
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Wol Euler: lead us on
eggsalad Ormstein: you have a very rigorous car inspection in germany? TUV?
    Wol Euler: indeed
Wol Euler: rigorous and compulsory every N years, where N reduces with the increasing age of the car
Wol Euler: the inspectors have the right to impound a failing car
eggsalad Ormstein: You see... I am trying to buy a used car off a German ex-pat friend of mine
eggsalad Ormstein: and he tells me it is in very bad condition
    Wol Euler: hmmmmmm
eggsalad Ormstein: it is a very old car, -85
eggsalad Ormstein: and I suppose it would fail a rigorous test
Wol Euler: can he perhaps quantify "bad condition"?
eggsalad Ormstein: his idea of "bad condition" is "would fail TUV"
eggsalad Ormstein: but I feel it is in more than adequate condition for its age
Wol Euler: that is still fairly flexible :) I've seen cars on the highways of North America that would fail the TÜV :?
Wol Euler: your standards are far lower than ours
eggsalad Ormstein: most certainly, our standards are far lower, in many states, there is no inspection at all!
Wol Euler: perhaps get him to TÜV it, offering to pay teh inspection costs. If there is structural damage, then you walk away; else you can estimate the cost of repairing in the US
    eggsalad Ormstein: nono, you misunderstand
eggsalad Ormstein: the German, the car, and I are all already here!
    Wol Euler laughs.
Wol Euler: ah, I see :)
Wol Euler: so it's a fait accompli
eggsalad Ormstein: but it's an ethical dilemma
    Wol Euler listens.
eggsalad Ormstein: Since he thinks the car is crap, he is asking far too little money for it
    Wol Euler: aaaaaaaaaaaaahhh
    eggsalad Ormstein: by about 40%
Wol Euler: and you are torn between fairness and holding on to the money for repairs
eggsalad Ormstein: well, nobody hates a bargain
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: but not at the cost of a friend's disbenefit
eggsalad Ormstein: but I do not want to rob a friend
    Wol Euler: right
eggsalad Ormstein: but he's pretty insistent at the low price
Wol Euler: have you let on that it's too low in your opinion, for the US market?
eggsalad Ormstein: "let on"? No, but I try to insist he take more!
Wol Euler: well, you can't twist his arm :)
Wol Euler: are you buying for your use, or to repair and sell for profit?
eggsalad Ormstein: I think I will keep/drive it short term, then resell it when I get tired of the horrible petrol use :)
    Wol Euler: heheheh
Wol Euler: okay. Then make one last attempt to buy it at a higher, fairer, price. Then when you sell give him a fair proportion of the win
    eggsalad Ormstein: 24L/100km!
    Wol Euler: O.O
Wol Euler: those were the days :)
eggsalad Ormstein: yes, i couldn't drive it full-time!
    Wol Euler: really :)
eggsalad Ormstein: my current car does 6L/100km
    Wol Euler: yep
eggsalad Ormstein: but it is a big off-road truck
Wol Euler: even Porsche gets under 12L now
Wol Euler: apart from the Cayenne
eggsalad Ormstein: I'm still waiting for the VW that does 1L/100km
    Wol Euler nods.
eggsalad Ormstein: but yes, I will give him what he asks
    Wol Euler nods.

Wol Euler: it's a quandary all right, balancing fairness -- based on knowledge that he might not have.
eggsalad Ormstein: or he, using a higher standard to which he is accustomed
    Wol Euler nods.
    Wol Euler: hello mal
    Malinson Bloobury: Hello Wol
    eggsalad Ormstein: hi mali
    Malinson Bloobury: Goodmorning EggSalad
Wol Euler: but that standard doesn't apply in the new situation, and he isn't adjusting his expectation to the situation
eggsalad Ormstein: neither can I force him to!
    Wol Euler: yep :)
eggsalad Ormstein: I guess I'll steal this truck, and not feel bad. I've tried to do the right thing
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: as you say, you cannot force him, and you have tried to be fair by your understanding of the situation
    Wol Euler: enjoy it :)
eggsalad Ormstein: it's fortunate that I'm such a car nut, and understand the rules in different nations
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: what do you think of its condition? is it safe?
    Malinson Bloobury: duty calls
Wol Euler: ah, bye mal, take care
Malinson Bloobury: see you all later
eggsalad Ormstein: it's plenty safe. But it's irrelevant to the issue of value
Wol Euler: true, that was just a supplimentary question
eggsalad Ormstein: The value is whatever someone is willing to pay, especially in an older car
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
eggsalad Ormstein: and a car such as this sells for US$6-8000
    Wol Euler: what's he asking?
    eggsalad Ormstein: US$4000
Wol Euler: then I think my suggestion was a good one: when you sell it, you might make a profit at the US price, give him a share of that
eggsalad Ormstein: Hi andreas! Here's $2000!
    Wol Euler: right :)
Wol Euler: your soul will be quieted, and he'll be delighted
    Wol Euler: or even $800
eggsalad Ormstein: or maybe it's nothing to him... he also has a 911 and an X5
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler smiles and shakes her head. The point is your soul, not his pocket :)
Wol Euler: or that's how I would see it
eggsalad Ormstein: Why he even owns a Toyota as well is beyond me
    Wol Euler laughs.
Wol Euler: perhaps he actually *uses* that one?
eggsalad Ormstein: no... in fact, many of the problems stem more from disuse than anything else
    Wol Euler: ah
    Wol Euler: hello dash
    Wol Euler grins.
    eggsalad Ormstein: hi dsh
    Dash Earthboy: hey y'all
    Dash Earthboy: surprise huh?
Wol Euler: yeah :) another egg :)
Dash Earthboy: eggsalad on one side and...
    Wol Euler: heheh
    Wol Euler: before/after
    Dash Earthboy: hehe
    eggsalad Ormstein: sorry?
Wol Euler: well, the egg is the "before" stage of the egg salad
Dash Earthboy: yeah and eggsalad's legs look alot better too huh?
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: the sitting pose overrides the egg's AO, I guess
Wol Euler: how did the job interview turn out?
Dash Earthboy: could be...i just tried the egg parts to see if i could get a rebake to work
Dash Earthboy: no look on that tho
Dash Earthboy: wol and me are still clouds on my viewer

Dash Earthboy: sad to say on the job interview i was told on last followup phone call they hadn't decided,
eggsalad Ormstein: what does the AO that came with the egg do?
Dash Earthboy: I've followed up w/email and calls since they had said they wanted the position filled ASAP
    Wol Euler: hmmm
Wol Euler: well, I hope it works out.
Dash Earthboy: at least now Wol is as clear as eggsalad...wait, that doesn't sound right :)
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: I'm assuming there is an AO, it would tuck his arms and legs up into the shell
Wol Euler: when you arrived your arms weren'T visible
    Dash Earthboy: are they now?
Wol Euler: yes, in normal human sitting position
    Dash Earthboy: cool
Wol Euler: I'll send you a screnshot
    Dash Earthboy: thanx
Dash Earthboy: i made a coffee run yesterday as I was down to my last cup
    Wol Euler: crisis intervention! :)
Dash Earthboy: yes...hey cool pic Wol!
    Wol Euler smiles.
eggsalad Ormstein: I'd still like to see you stand up and walk, so I can see the AO :)
Dash Earthboy: I found Seattle Best for $3, Chock Full O Nuts for $1.50, and most of the rest (mostly Folgers) was $2
Dash Earthboy: ok eggs, just for you
Wol Euler: I always wondered about the name "chock full o nuts", surely coffee is made from *beans*
eggsalad Ormstein: ok, that's mostly just creepy. Thanks, though! LOL
Wol Euler grins at hte walking egg
    eggsalad Ormstein: http://www.chockfullonuts.com/history.aspx#/history
Dash Earthboy: yes but some coffees have a "nutty" flavor :)
Dash Earthboy: i don't know...squirrels do like to hang around me anyway :)
    Wol Euler sighs.
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Wol Euler: (wrong gesture)
eggsalad Ormstein: the basic answer is that the company founder started selling coffee as a side business to his nut shop
    Wol Euler grins.
eggsalad Ormstein: roasting coffee beans and roasting nuts is a similar process I suppose
Wol Euler: as I suspect the Purolator company started out selling coffeemakers :)
Dash Earthboy: well, when I was inspecting Transport of New Jersey, I used to like going to any CFoN shop for breakfast, even before I was drinking coffee...great breakfasts at those shops!
    Wol Euler nods.
Dash Earthboy: it was tea for me till I was 22 and working as a Brooklyn Museum guard
    Wol Euler: huh
Wol Euler: well, I didn't learn to drink coffee until I was 18, in Rome. It was *so* much better than what I'd tasted in Canada
Dash Earthboy: having been to Canada .... :) I sympathize :)
Wol Euler: I hvae to say, the average standard of US coffee is no better.
    Dash Earthboy: agrees
Wol Euler: the idea seems to be to make a large urn of it at 6:30 a.m. and let it stew until midnight
eggsalad Ormstein: german coffee nearly killed me!
    Wol Euler grins.
Dash Earthboy: i like it the morning after midnight :)
Wol Euler: european coffee proves that caffeine is a stimulant :)
    Dash Earthboy: yep
eggsalad Ormstein: I think Germans use 500g of coffee per cup
Dash Earthboy: and then there's the crowd who actually pays for decaf ?!? :)
Wol Euler: I don't know the figures, but we do drink more coffee than beer AND wine togehter
Wol Euler: and we drink a lot of beer.
eggsalad Ormstein: infants nurse on it
    Wol Euler: heheheh
Dash Earthboy: when I worked at a local med center, the head nurse from Cuba fixed us expresso at 4 PM everyday
Dash Earthboy: talk about driving home with a buzz :)
    Wol Euler grins.

Dash Earthboy: yes, y'all do drink alot of beer
Dash Earthboy: at that's coming from somebody who lives in Billy Beer country
eggsalad Ormstein: cuban coffee is right up there with german coffee
Dash Earthboy: btw I meant the comment not the beer from US ;)
Dash Earthboy: while at the museum I really got into beer too...from all over the world
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: so many brands, so little time
Dash Earthboy: later back at school in Atlanta, my Air Force friends let me get all kinds of beer from the PX
Dash Earthboy: i hear ya Wol :)
Dash Earthboy: I actually had a closet full of cases and 6-packs !
    Wol Euler: :)
eggsalad Ormstein: I used to enjoy beer.
    Wol Euler: what changed?
eggsalad Ormstein: I find it fills me up so quickly that I can't drink it
Dash Earthboy: that's one reason I drink it at night more now
    Wol Euler nods.
Dash Earthboy: it helps me sleep better than herbal tea
eggsalad Ormstein: one beer, and I feel like I've eaten a whole meal
    Wol Euler: cheap date :)
Dash Earthboy: yep...depending on the hops
eggsalad Ormstein: is that it? is it the hops that fill the gut?
Dash Earthboy: last decade i was nursing along a beer for a whole night at local open mic competitions
Wol Euler: thinking about it, I feel that too, to a lesser extent
Wol Euler: and yes I think it's the hops, because Hefeweizen does it most strongly for me
eggsalad Ormstein: and I was drinking heffeweisen at the time I stopped beer!
    Wol Euler: there you go.
    Dash Earthboy: :)
Wol Euler: I rarely drink alcohol, actually, on average less than one beer per week. Far less.
Wol Euler: I just lost interest in it somehow, some years back.
eggsalad Ormstein: me too, I probably have <3 drinks/month
    Wol Euler nods.
Dash Earthboy: i think the poverty did it for me
    Wol Euler smiles.
eggsalad Ormstein: that's "less than 3" not "love" LOL
    Wol Euler: heheheh
    Dash Earthboy: hehe
Wol Euler: I've got a few friends who make their own beer, some of it is surprisingly good (not awful)
Dash Earthboy: but after the job interview i did celebrate with finding a 12-pk of MHL for $8
eggsalad Ormstein: damn kids, stealing perfectly good math symbols!
Wol Euler: I doubt if they save any money that way, I think it's more a bit of fun wiht a drinkable byproduct
    eggsalad Ormstein: MHL?
    eggsalad Ormstein: ah, Miller
Wol Euler: oh right :) I was wondering too :)
Dash Earthboy: i make a 12-oz bottle of Miller High Life last at least 2 if not 3 servings (days)
Wol Euler: doesn't it go flat?
    Dash Earthboy: not too much
eggsalad Ormstein: it's Miller. It gets no worse when flat
    Wol Euler laughs.
Dash Earthboy: like sodas, just pour and ... oh haha
Dash Earthboy: my son feels that way too :)
Wol Euler: to each his own, as they say
Dash Earthboy: he's into, not Buds anymore, something like Moonlight?
Dash Earthboy: i used to really enjoy Heines & St Paulis
eggsalad Ormstein: I've lost track of all the current brands
Dash Earthboy: Blue Moon, that's it!
Wol Euler: I'm trying to remember what my BIL drinks, it's a reddish IPA from an independnt brewery
    Wol Euler: Red Rock maybe?
    Dash Earthboy: cool
    Wol Euler: taste really good
Dash Earthboy: yes there are great independents out there :0
eggsalad Ormstein: rolling rock. used to be independent, now owned by Anheuser-Busch
    Dash Earthboy: yah

Wol Euler: ah, that may be it, ty
Dash Earthboy: i liked rolling rock too
Dash Earthboy: bottled, not canned tho
eggsalad Ormstein: cans of beer are almost universally bad
    Wol Euler nods sadly
    Wol Euler: but so convenient
eggsalad Ormstein: althoug the guiness has a trick can that does work
Wol Euler: canned guinness is pretty good
Dash Earthboy: not to Billy Beer drinkers !
    Wol Euler: snap
    Dash Earthboy: oops...huge lag here
    Dash Earthboy: sry
    Wol Euler: np
eggsalad Ormstein: meh, the 90 second timesout is only useful during heated debates anyhow
    Wol Euler: :)
Dash Earthboy: i got the CFoN Arabica blend going for me and I'm typing much faster than it's showing up
    Wol Euler: interesting :)
Dash Earthboy: but after all this time and rebakes, I'm still a cloud
    Wol Euler nods.
    Wol Euler: happens.
Wol Euler: you could try editing your appearance, make a tiny change and save
    Wol Euler: that sometimes works
Dash Earthboy: yes, and I think it was Sunday I was ruthed
Wol Euler: or anohter trick is to change gender :)
Wol Euler: toggling gender often forces a redraw
eggsalad Ormstein: I log in each time as a cloud nowadays
Dash Earthboy: but finally got to see my shapely self then
Wol Euler: actually so do I, but it usually resolves in seconds
eggsalad Ormstein: mine never does, unless I rebake
eggsalad Ormstein: if I didn't do a rebake, I could be a cloud for hours
    Wol Euler: huh
Dash Earthboy: this is interesting: Appearance is greyed-out on my menu
eggsalad Ormstein: maybe you don't have one :)
    Dash Earthboy: rebake is there
    Wol Euler: perhaps because sitting?
Wol Euler: odd, it's enabled for me
    Dash Earthboy: let's see
    Dash Earthboy: nope still greyed-out
    Wol Euler: odd
    Dash Earthboy: yep
    Wol Euler: voodoo software :)
eggsalad Ormstein: take the egg thing off
    Dash Earthboy: could be :)
eggsalad Ormstein: do you have the 1102 phoenix?
Wol Euler: ah, no, I'm using 1050
Wol Euler: I'm too old and too complacent for RC versions :)
eggsalad Ormstein: I got the new one, but I see no major change. Still, worth a try
eggsalad Ormstein: the changelog suggests that the new release compensates for a change on the LL side of things
Dash Earthboy: i've tried the 1050 Phoenix too, doesn't seem to matter
    Dash Earthboy: for me
eggsalad Ormstein: did you try a test character?
Dash Earthboy: nor whether in Windows, or either 32-64 bit Linux
Dash Earthboy: i'm in 64-bit Ubuntu right now
Dash Earthboy: Natty as they say
    eggsalad Ormstein: I'm using 8-bit CP/M
eggsalad Ormstein: no, I lied :)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Dash Earthboy: ah i miss the C64
eggsalad Ormstein: oh, CP/M predates the C64
    eggsalad Ormstein: <-- is old
    Wol Euler: :)
eggsalad Ormstein: hi little boy! lol
    Wol Euler: I started on PDP-11s :)
    Dash Earthboy: cool
Wol Euler: looooong before the PC
eggsalad Ormstein: wol, you are positively ancient
Wol Euler: moved to VAX-VMS, they were cool
    Wol Euler: :)
    Dash Earthboy: yes!
eggsalad Ormstein: was that punch cards, or paper tape?
Wol Euler: magnetic tape already by that time
Dash Earthboy: i was introduced to VAX-VMS after learning things with a C64
eggsalad Ormstein: ohh, look at Miss Fancy Storage
Wol Euler: and the last VAX I administered had a -- wait for it -- 300MB hard disk
Dash Earthboy: yep Wol I remember
    eggsalad Ormstein: mag tape! woo!
    Dash Earthboy: wow!!! 300M!
    Wol Euler: yeah :)
Wol Euler: it was immense in those days
eggsalad Ormstein: that was a HUGE drive!
    Dash Earthboy: for sure

eggsalad Ormstein: now you can't even buy a thumb drive that small :)
Wol Euler: when I was on contract at a petrochem place, designing offshore oil rigs, that VAX administered a team of 20 CAD stations
    Wol Euler: truth
Dash Earthboy: well yeah eggs but I still have a 128M thumb from 2002 working for me
eggsalad Ormstein: lol, I have a couple 32mb Lexars still kicking
    Dash Earthboy: yep
Dash Earthboy: yes, the old CAD didn't have the requirements we have today
eggsalad Ormstein: my first personal hard drive was 32Mb
    Wol Euler: same here
Wol Euler: I never filled it
Dash Earthboy: my son's CAD station has 16G RAM and a 2T harddrive
eggsalad Ormstein: now my latest desktop had 500GB
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
eggsalad Ormstein: and I have used <40Gb
    Wol Euler: ah :)
Wol Euler: take more photos, or buy more songs :)
eggsalad Ormstein: I don't listen to songs or watch movies :(
Wol Euler: modern CAD chews up disk space, two of us can lay on a gigabyte of new files in a week
    Dash Earthboy: easily
eggsalad Ormstein: the video server at work has a 40Tb RAID array :)
    Wol Euler: wow
Dash Earthboy: i remember in 2003 trying to convert some special microscope formats to AutoCAD
    Dash Earthboy: 40T RAID...that's great!!
Dash Earthboy: video can sure eat it up fast tho
eggsalad Ormstein: but the output is 16m pixels by 10.24m pixels
    Wol Euler: O.O
    eggsalad Ormstein: yep. high-end crap!
    Wol Euler giggles
Wol Euler: I always think that while looking at hi-def 96 inch screens. "Why, dude? you're only going to watch some reality show on it"
Dash Earthboy: i still rememberr trying to upload small home videos using dial-up last decade
eggsalad Ormstein: it's projected on a 30m wide screen. Takes 12 Christie Roadrunner projectors (at $125,000 each) to fill the screen
    Wol Euler: wow
    Dash Earthboy: hehe Wol
Dash Earthboy: reminds me of my son watching reality shows on his 50" HD
    Wol Euler: yep
Dash Earthboy: he also has 3G wireless service
Dash Earthboy: i was like, coming from my .5G here, WT???
    Wol Euler grins.
eggsalad Ormstein: well, I work for the worldwide leader in live entertainment, they have tons of dough to waste
Dash Earthboy: that's how they stay the leader i guess :)
    Wol Euler: perhaps
Dash Earthboy: my ex is like that: wastes money to get more
Wol Euler: there is definitely a first-mover advantage
eggsalad Ormstein: it used to be Disney. Not anymore
Wol Euler: what would you need to invest now, to make a startup to compete with google?
Wol Euler: not millions, billions probably
Dash Earthboy: ah Wol, interesting subject...NPR said Jobs is smarter for bringing out iPhone later than other smartphones
eggsalad Ormstein: no, just like google... google itself will be surpassed by 3 guys in a basement
Wol Euler: yes but: the three guys will undermine google by making something entirely different. They will win by not going head-to-head, but by walking off at right angles to google
Dash Earthboy: they compared it to Facebook coming out after MySpace and such
Wol Euler: yeah, iPhone is a very good counterexample
Dash Earthboy: google's been a little embarassed by their cloud offerings
Wol Euler: they have a huge "mindshare", as well as a good market share: every new smartphone looks like the iPhone OS
    Dash Earthboy: yep
eggsalad Ormstein: I made a lot on Apple shares :)
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Dash Earthboy: :)
Wol Euler: so did my mother :)
    Dash Earthboy: not me
eggsalad Ormstein: in 2001, my friend said Apple had a new music player coming out
eggsalad Ormstein: I said "so what? everyone does"
    Wol Euler smiles.
eggsalad Ormstein: then he told me they wer also selling MUSIC
    Dash Earthboy: yep
eggsalad Ormstein: so I dropped $500 on 20 shares
eggsalad Ormstein: which is now worth $14000, after the split
    Wol Euler grins.
    Wol Euler: nice
    Dash Earthboy: yep

Dash Earthboy: i bought shares of banks in the late 90s just before the divorce and my atty let hers confine me to maintain that investment for "security"
    Wol Euler sighs.
    Dash Earthboy: yep
Wol Euler: conventional wisdom at work :(
Dash Earthboy: Good Ol' Boys bullying tactics
Wol Euler: and backhanders in the club after
    Dash Earthboy: yep
eggsalad Ormstein: my investments are much more conservative now :)
Dash Earthboy: just got my property assessment and its value is down by nearly 20% from last year
    Wol Euler: :(
Wol Euler: are your taxes also down 20%?
Dash Earthboy: my place is now worth less than I paid for it in 1999
    Wol Euler: wow
Dash Earthboy: i lost value in 2010 and 2009
eggsalad Ormstein: I dumped my house in '07. been renting since
Dash Earthboy: the taxes are down 15%
eggsalad Ormstein: so I only lost PART of my ass
Dash Earthboy: only because of the new value
Dash Earthboy: yes, I've been wanting/needing to get out of here too
Dash Earthboy: i'll rent...i'll live in a camper if necessary
Wol Euler: it's sad, I have so many friends who are stuck in that position, they'd have to take a loss to sell
Dash Earthboy: but i'd rather find a place to room/board
eggsalad Ormstein: my sale & loss was forced by the divorce
    Wol Euler nods.
eggsalad Ormstein: my divorce wound up costing me $40,000
Dash Earthboy: :( i hear ya eggs
eggsalad Ormstein: AND WORTH EVERY PENNY
    Wol Euler: hahjahahahah
    Wol Euler: oh dear
Wol Euler: what a sad statement
Dash Earthboy: my divorce was the end of her 10-yr strategy to take an artistic farm owner with great tech skills and turn him into a bum if she couldn't drive him to suicide
    Wol Euler raises an eyebrow.
Dash Earthboy: my sperm was her prize, the rest was just icing on the cake
eggsalad Ormstein: mine was something similar, but it turned out I was stronger than she's counted on
Dash Earthboy: she learned that process from her mom who learned from her mom...to have single prize childs
Dash Earthboy: i had wanted at least two, even if we had to adopt
    Wol Euler listens.
Dash Earthboy: being deprived of active parenthood really hurts someone like me
    Wol Euler nods.
Dash Earthboy: especially to see one's offspring undermined and corrupted at my own expense
Wol Euler: that must hurt :(
Dash Earthboy: my son is smarter than me and I'm in Mensa
Dash Earthboy: he has no social conscience either...like his mom
Dash Earthboy: and he's totally dropped away from anything related to music...like his mom's family teaches them to do
    Wol Euler: poor kid
Dash Earthboy: i taught him how to play drums using a Yamaha keyboard
Wol Euler gives your hand a squeeze
Dash Earthboy: he could give Phil Collins competition
Dash Earthboy: and he also learned to play guitar and bass like me

Dash Earthboy: but now he's all about fancy possessions, living in huge debt, and complaining about any personal time/space...he can't live with himself for more than an hour or two
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: many can't, it's a declining skill
Wol Euler: I wonder where it came from, and why it's going?
eggsalad Ormstein: I have an afk
Dash Earthboy: i did bring him up with better spiritual values
Dash Earthboy: it has been really nice to wake up early this way with y'all
    Wol Euler smiles.
Dash Earthboy: my alarm will be going off in a few minutes
    Wol Euler: heh
Wol Euler: enjoy the day, dash.
    Dash Earthboy: thanks Wol
Wol Euler: lunchtime for me now :)
Dash Earthboy: hope it's a good one :)
    Wol Euler: ty
