    Riddle Sideways: Hi Zen
    Zen Arado: Hi Riddle

Riddle Sideways: the birds are sounded very nice and peaceful today
    Riddle Sideways: *sounding or singing
Zen Arado: hmmm...was thinking...maybe I should start taking this session and let go of y 1am slot
    Riddle Sideways: maybe,
Zen Arado: but all the same I guess
Riddle Sideways: the 1am are hard to fill
                         --BELL--
    Zen Arado: yeh
Riddle Sideways: sometimes 1am is empty
    Riddle Sideways: or silent
    Zen Arado: yes
Zen Arado: I have been lucky someone usually comes
Riddle Sideways: ever look at something and note it has changed but not know when it changed?
    Zen Arado: Hi Xirana
    Zen Arado: thinking...
    Kavi01 Resident: good morning ppl
Riddle Sideways: Hi Xir and Kavi
Kavi01 Resident: or afternoon depending on your location
    Zen Arado: Hi Kavi

Riddle Sideways: not sure if we have met before Kavi
Kavi01 Resident: i dont believe so riddle
Kavi01 Resident: ive been coming lately after a loooong hiatus
    Riddle Sideways: ahhh
    Riddle Sideways: wb
Kavi01 Resident: i came along last week
Kavi01 Resident: and will try and do so more often as i find it enlightning

Zen Arado: things are always changing Riddle..whether we notice or not
    Riddle Sideways: Hi Storm
    Kavi01 Resident: hello storm
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Storm
    Zen Arado: Hi Storm
    Storm Nordwind: Hello all!

Riddle Sideways: anyway, saw an island in a stream/lake today that do not remember when it got there :)
Riddle Sideways: sometimes a storm comes through the region and changes the geo
    Riddle Sideways: :)
    Zen Arado: ah yeh
Zen Arado: then you know when it changed?
Riddle Sideways: no, that is the thing... do not remember when it was not there
    Kavi01 Resident: terraforming acting up?
Riddle Sideways: it is the itch/twitch/feeling of not knowing when it changed
Storm Nordwind: As you get older, your memory is the second thing that goes. :)
Zen Arado: does it worry you in some way Riddle?
    Kavi01 Resident: lol
    Riddle Sideways: yeah @Storm
Riddle Sideways: no, not a full worry
Zen Arado: (wonders about the first)
    Riddle Sideways: lol

Kavi01 Resident: the one thing i resent from getting older or that worries me in some respect is lost time
Storm Nordwind: (I've forgotten what the first is ;)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hehe :)
    Zen Arado: :)
    Zen Arado: lost opportunitiy?
    Kavi01 Resident: yes
    Kavi01 Resident: lost opportunities
Kavi01 Resident: and a whole bunch of false perceptions
Kavi01 Resident: that used to shape my life
Riddle Sideways: yep, we are big on kicking ourselves for lost opportunies
Zen Arado: is it all that important though?
Kavi01 Resident: lol i find it odd finding that i dont have the slightest idea of who i am at 44
Zen Arado: I'm tring to achieve that...or realise that..
Riddle Sideways: 44 is a tough age
    Riddle Sideways: mid life crisis?
Kavi01 Resident: lol right now i dont know there is an "easy" age
    Kavi01 Resident: lol u betcha
Kavi01 Resident: actually trying to get out of it
Zen Arado: no..they are all tough
Zen Arado: old age is the toughest I think
    Zen Arado: (cos I'm old)
Storm Nordwind: As you get older, your memory is the ... oh wait... did i just say that?
    Zen Arado: Hi Susan
Kavi01 Resident: well i for one have found that happiness has always escaped me
    Riddle Sideways: Hi Susan
Kavi01 Resident: mostly out of my own doing im afraid
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Susan
    Kavi01 Resident: hello susan

Kavi01 Resident: i did find a nice site with good excercises though
Kavi01 Resident: and im actively trying
Kavi01 Resident: but man it is difficult
    Kavi01 Resident waves back
Zen Arado: does anyone ever stick to exercise regimes?
    Kavi01 Resident: i do
    Zen Arado: doubt it
    Kavi01 Resident: p90x
Kavi01 Resident: and now im coursing my own self made torture lol
Riddle Sideways: for a little while
    Zen Arado: for how long?
    Kavi01 Resident: 1 year now
Kavi01 Resident: first time ive done so though
                         --BELL--
Kavi01 Resident: come to think of it i did get a good glimpse at how my elief system works out of it
    Kavi01 Resident: belief*
Kavi01 Resident: u see i was overweight most of my life
Kavi01 Resident: i somehow believed if i had a good body i would be happy
Kavi01 Resident: then i acheived it
Kavi01 Resident: and found i wasnt any happier
Kavi01 Resident: was a bit of a bummer actually

ummmmm, this next bit is in ref to what Susan was saying about a 200mi race.  However, please to notice that none of Susan's dialogue is in the log!!!!  The susan avi was sitting by the enterance tp spinning ball.  In IM she had reported doing the session from her phone.
Riddle Sideways: huh, was just reading lastnight about the bad water race from death valley to mt. witney
Riddle Sideways: 132 miles and 8,000 ft. up
    Kavi01 Resident: wow
    Riddle Sideways: beb
Zen Arado: wonder about what motivates people to do that
    Kavi01 Resident: challenges
    Kavi01 Resident: self image
    Storm Nordwind: Good question Zen
    Kavi01 Resident: etc
Kavi01 Resident: at least that is what motivated me back then
Zen Arado: is the bottom line a fear of death?
Xirana Oximoxi: to do what Zen, regime or to run so much?
    Zen Arado: both
Storm Nordwind: I wonder how they would feel if they suddenly couldn't do it. That often gives a clue to underlying motivation.
Zen Arado: or trying to prove oneself
Kavi01 Resident: i can only speak for myself on this
Kavi01 Resident: but i had a series of expectations for myself
Zen Arado: yes a high from running
Kavi01 Resident: of bettering myself so i thought
    Zen Arado: Hi Sam
Kavi01 Resident: yet in essence it was fake
    Kavi01 Resident: lo there sam
    Storm Nordwind: Good morning Sam
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Everyone :)
Xirana Oximoxi: my brother usually did marathons in Barcelona...I think it was a matter of putting stress out and also to prove to himself he could do
Zen Arado: but a friend told me there is a release of endorphins or something
Kavi01 Resident: oh yes theres definately a high
Kavi01 Resident: i had that on my first 10k race
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Sam :)
    Storm Nordwind: Better than chocolate??!
    Kavi01 Resident: mhmm
Zen Arado: and you feel so good in daily life if you are fit
Kavi01 Resident: well i havent found that part lol
Kavi01 Resident: but the high was surely there
Zen Arado: don't think I have ever been fit
Storm Nordwind: Seems a very laborious way to go about getting a high
Kavi01 Resident: yes yet i didnt necesarily do it for the high
Zen Arado: well..it's a healthy natural way I guess
Kavi01 Resident: in a way i was looking for external acceptance
Storm Nordwind: Ah I see Susan - thanks for that background :)
    Zen Arado: Hi Bruce
    milakel Resident: hi :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Bruce
Kavi01 Resident: hello bruce and mila
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello MIla:)
    Zen Arado: Hi Mila
milakel Resident: aha, storm's time :)
Bruce Mowbray: Hello and good day, everyone.
Riddle Sideways: back (mouse brought in is now out of house).
Storm Nordwind: No not my time Mila. :)
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Bruce, Mila
    Riddle Sideways: Hi Mila, Bruce
    Zen Arado: nobody's time
    Riddle Sideways: Hi O
Kavi01 Resident: what happened to me was akin to sl in a way
    Xirana Oximoxi: everybody's time :))
Kavi01 Resident: i triedd to shape myself into my avie lol
    oO0Oo Resident: :) Riddle
    oO0Oo Resident: :) Xir
milakel Resident: 7 am is usually storm's slot
    Storm Nordwind: Tomorrow
    milakel Resident: ah
Zen Arado: funny how our av can influence RL self
    Kavi01 Resident: yup
Zen Arado: happened to me too
Kavi01 Resident: yet at least for me i found my rl transformation as fake as my avie lol
Riddle Sideways: self-image running/ruining our lives?
Kavi01 Resident: mhmm at least for me
Storm Nordwind: Yes, I walk this avatar around and convince myself that, as a result, I don't need any RL exercise ;)
    Kavi01 Resident: lol
    Xirana Oximoxi: :))
Kavi01 Resident: have your 30 mins of cardio in sl?
    Storm Nordwind: Natch
Kavi01 Resident: its like using an sl tai chi poseball and then saying tai chi doesnt work lol
    oO0Oo Resident: Natch = Naturally
Riddle Sideways: ergo, flying this avi around ...
milakel Resident: riddle little elephant :)
Kavi01 Resident: oh btw sam ty for the pema links u sent me
milakel Resident: you can't hide behind this human av :)
Kavi01 Resident: found them quite insightfull
    Kavi01 Resident: i agree mila
    Riddle Sideways: you're right
Kavi01 Resident: nor can u hide behind your rl avie for that matter
    Riddle Sideways: Hi Yak
    milakel Resident: yaku san :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Zen Arado: Hi Yaku
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Yaku!
    Kavi01 Resident: konnichiwa yaku san
Storm Nordwind: Good afternoon Yaku :)
Riddle Sideways: no hide and seek here
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Yaku
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Yaku
                         --BELL--
Kavi01 Resident: in essence i found out that i for one hide a lot even irl. everytime i asign blame or responsibility outside myself im hiding in essence
    Kavi01 Resident: lol repetitive
Zen Arado: yeh...it isn't my fault
    Zen Arado: like that poem
Kavi01 Resident: indeed and its not only the blame game
Kavi01 Resident: like when i said i would be happy if i looked like this
    Kavi01 Resident: its also hiding
Kavi01 Resident: im assigning my happinesss to externalities
Kavi01 Resident: when in essence my happyness lies within
Bruce Mowbray: Agrees with Kav . . . I actually feel a visceral fragmentation when I cast blaames outside myself.
    Kavi01 Resident: ouch sounds painfull
    Bruce Mowbray: blames*
Riddle Sideways: or the taking or denying blame for the current universe?
Bruce Mowbray: a sort of separation from the world takes place.
Kavi01 Resident: that eternal conception of "not being good enough"
    Kavi01 Resident: indeed
milakel Resident: blame is useful in retrospect to learn from mistakes
Kavi01 Resident: thats why im so keen to learn about perception and the way it shapes our being
Bruce Mowbray: Blaming separates -- perhaps even separates me from me (a splitting).
    Bruce Mowbray listens.
Kavi01 Resident: isnt blame a perception issue aswell?
Kavi01 Resident: some sort of inner judge judging us or those around us
Zen Arado: it makes us feel stronger but falsely
milakel Resident: kavi, i think anything is if you look close enough :)
    Kavi01 Resident: indeed mila
Kavi01 Resident: thus the confusion i felt when attempting this path
Kavi01 Resident: i no longer know what to believe
Xirana Oximoxi: hapiness is never a permanet 'state'... and maybe you perceive it when we valuate small things inside and ouside ourselves
milakel Resident: we have context to help us out here
Kavi01 Resident: how to distinguish context from perception
    Kavi01 Resident: ?
Kavi01 Resident: i mean theres a paralaz error in perception
    Kavi01 Resident: paralax
milakel Resident: you apply it to your perception
    Riddle Sideways: yep
Storm Nordwind: context includes what has gone before and what you know of other people's perceptions
Zen Arado: do you need to believe?
Riddle Sideways: perception by seeing with your I's
Kavi01 Resident: in a way i think its only natural to try and believe
Zen Arado: belief is kinda fixing things a certain way
Kavi01 Resident: not that its good at all just natural
Kavi01 Resident: gives u false sense of controll i guess
    Zen Arado: yeh
Zen Arado: something permanent to hold onto
Kavi01 Resident: i mean our brains struggle all the time to derive meaning from a limitid amount of knowledge
Zen Arado: in a slippery world
Storm Nordwind: That's a rather fixed idea of what belief is Zen! ;) Belief can just be a temporary pragmatic heuristic for a particular time
Kavi01 Resident: the problem at least for me lies in the fact the brain tries to add to a limited view of the world by inferring a lot
    Zen Arado: true Storm
    Kavi01 Resident: quite so storm
Zen Arado: depends how much you cling to a belief and solidify it
    Kavi01 Resident: ok true
Kavi01 Resident: but what about when u doubt your beliefs
    Kavi01 Resident: ?
Zen Arado: to me the word suggests a kind of permanence
Kavi01 Resident: assume for a second that your belief system is false
Zen Arado: unless you qualify it as provisional
Kavi01 Resident: u will notice your brain will try and whip up another one
Storm Nordwind: You can cling to anything, even transience and change! :)
    Kavi01 Resident: equally as convincing
    Zen Arado: yes
Kavi01 Resident: maybe the true essence of happines is not clinging to anything at all
Kavi01 Resident: as in the buddhist traditions
milakel Resident: kavi, or discard the false argument :)
Zen Arado: but impermanence not graspable and fixatable
Kavi01 Resident: i have tried an excercise for the last month
Kavi01 Resident: and its quite tiring
Zen Arado: but the impermanence idea itself is impermanent
Storm Nordwind: But the IDEA of impermanence is something that some like to cling to
Kavi01 Resident: every time my mind assumes something
Kavi01 Resident: i play skeptic and say no
milakel Resident: there's still the flat earth society
Zen Arado: (getting lost in words)
Kavi01 Resident: i have noticed my brain finds way of trying to convince me
Kavi01 Resident: i mean every argument sounds convincing
    Kavi01 Resident: equally convincing
Kavi01 Resident: even if they are completely different
oO0Oo Resident: This is sometimes where people with teachers, can think of and trust their teacher
Kavi01 Resident: very true sam thus your recommendation of a teacher the other day
Storm Nordwind: Do you ever get anything done Kavi? :) I would have thought that the forever skeptic was a bit wearing and sometime counterproductive
milakel Resident: kavi, usually our brain tries to justify our beliefs or choices. sometimes at all costs.
Riddle Sideways: and 14,000 Elvis is not dead fans can't be wrong :)
    Kavi01 Resident: lol
Kavi01 Resident: storm well i have managed somethings
    Kavi01 Resident: actually only twice
Kavi01 Resident: there was a point
Kavi01 Resident: where my mind went totally silent
Kavi01 Resident: and i was at peace
Kavi01 Resident: in a way i stopped worrying about finding a solution
Kavi01 Resident: by suddenly realizing the problem wasnt important
                         --BELL--
Kavi01 Resident: not sure im clear on that
Kavi01 Resident: yet one thing ill say is that its quite tiring. i mean if u argue with some1 theres always the chance of going away when u argue yourself theres no exit lol
Bruce Mowbray: Seeing one's existence as a koan can help "silence" the conceptual mind.
    Kavi01 Resident: koan?
Bruce Mowbray: Koan. What is the sound of one hand clapping, etc.
Zen Arado: yeh...like 'who am I?'
Kavi01 Resident: i should look into that as well
Bruce Mowbray: In fact, I find that the mere existence of conceptual thinking itself is a profound koan. . . (What is that?!)
Zen Arado: life is a koan
Kavi01 Resident: like the dilemma of using the mind to understand itself?
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, to both Zen and Kav!
Kavi01 Resident: lol sort of a mystic heisenbergs paradox
Riddle Sideways: would be a good time for Faenik to say "maybe"
    Kavi01 Resident: lol
milakel Resident: interesting etymology: Japanese, literally ‘matter for public thought’, from Chinese gōngàn ‘official business’
    Kavi01 Resident: quite interesting indeed
    Kavi01 Resident: :)
    Zen Arado: yes Mila
Kavi01 Resident: i have found it quite difficult to try and break out of the bonds of perception
Zen Arado: Zen teachers used to say things to students to knock them off balance
Kavi01 Resident: its like having faulty glasses permanently attached to my head
Zen Arado: knock them out od their conceptual thinking
Kavi01 Resident: i could definately do with a zen master whacking me with a yardstick lol
Zen Arado: the saying were collected and thus became 'public cases'
    Kavi01 Resident: mmm quite interesting
Kavi01 Resident: there must be a motherload of those works then
Bruce Mowbray: One experiment you might try (concerning perception) is inviting the objects in your scope to perceive you -- then opening yourself to "hear" what they see/feel/say.
Bruce Mowbray: I've been doing that as my 99-Days project -- and also during drops, here.
Kavi01 Resident: and letting go of defensive attitudes while doing it
Xirana Oximoxi: I remember one day here talking about what trees say to us when walking in a wood:)
    Kavi01 Resident: lovely image xir
Kavi01 Resident: whas there any conclussion to that thought?
Storm Nordwind: Isn't it easier just to ask the trees what they want to say to us? :)
Zen Arado: or let them tell us
milakel Resident: come on, trees don't talk :)
Bruce Mowbray: We share being with the forest - a mutual reciprocity with the trees - . . .
    Zen Arado: open to them
Kavi01 Resident: in a way they do talk
Zen Arado: they speak a sient language
Storm Nordwind: That would be wonderful Susan!
Kavi01 Resident: its a question of listening i guess
    Zen Arado: silent
Bruce Mowbray: The trees around me do talk (just not in a language that most are willing to listen to).
Xirana Oximoxi: Mila... science girl :)
Kavi01 Resident: i mean there are several examples of plant communication
    Kavi01 Resident: mostly chemical
Kavi01 Resident: grass communicates aswell as some trees
    Zen Arado: they communicate stillness
Bruce Mowbray listens and loves the talk about tree-talk.
    Zen Arado: still presence
Kavi01 Resident: for example do u know some trees sense when their leaves are getting eaten and send out a message to other trees so their leaves turn bitter?
Kavi01 Resident: same with some grasses
Storm Nordwind: Same with some people i think!
    Kavi01 Resident: lol
    Kavi01 Resident: true storm
    Kavi01 Resident: so very true
    Kavi01 Resident: :)
Kavi01 Resident: again a beautiful image
    oO0Oo Resident nods
Xirana Oximoxi: yes! very nice image Susan :)
    Zen Arado: yes
                         --BELL--
Bruce Mowbray: Several months ago, Storm and I talked about deleting a tree beside my PaB plot -- because a neighbor wanted it "cut down" (getting in the way of his project). . . After a second or two of "listening" to that vitual tree, I asked Storm not to cut it down.t
milakel Resident: trees also make good books on our shelves. maybe that's how they talk :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: :))
    Bruce Mowbray: virtual tree*
Kavi01 Resident: ok guys time for me to retire as im trying to observe an 1 hour limit on sl
Kavi01 Resident: plus i need to put mi mind straight for therapy
    Bruce Mowbray: remember that, Storm?
    Storm Nordwind: Bye Kavi
    Zen Arado: good idea :)
Storm Nordwind: I remember yes Bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: Be well, Kav!
    Zen Arado: SL rationing
Bruce Mowbray: Good to have you here.
milakel Resident: kavi, nice of you to pop in :)
    Kavi01 Resident: namasté to all
Kavi01 Resident: ty for having me
    Riddle Sideways: bye Kavi
Zen Arado: perhaps I have gone over my SL allowance too
    Zen Arado: bye Kavi
    Yakuzza Lethecus: namaste everyone
    Riddle Sideways: bye Yak
oO0Oo Resident: Namaste Kavi and Yaku
    Riddle Sideways: and bye zen
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Kavi
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye bye Zen
    Zen Arado: bye All
Bruce Mowbray: bye Zen and Yaku.
milakel Resident: storm is a rare guest on sessions. he should stay for at least 2 more hours :)
    Riddle Sideways: lol
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Riddle Sideways: Mila stays at session until the sim restarts :)
milakel Resident: um, true... somewhat :)
    milakel Resident: heh
milakel Resident: i hope that one day i won't get booted
Xirana Oximoxi: does it still happens every tuesday, Rid?
    Riddle Sideways: almost
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: we still haven't found an AO to get out holding hands:))
milakel Resident: ah, yes. would be nice.
Xirana Oximoxi: well...we can do with minds:)
oO0Oo Resident: Bye zen [for log]
    Riddle Sideways: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: I also go now.... nice day to all and see you soon!
oO0Oo Resident: I know of a group hug object
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye Xir
    milakel Resident: xira cruz :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye bye
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
    Riddle Sideways: by Xir
Bruce Mowbray: Bye and be well, Xir.
    Storm Nordwind waves
milakel Resident: time for some tea...
Bruce Mowbray wonders if Mila will drink her tea lying on her back.
Storm Nordwind has a multi-hug somewhere in his inventory - must be 5 years old
Riddle Sideways wonders if bruce leviated just thinking about talking with the trees :)
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
Bruce Mowbray: yes, Riddle, that happens a lot. . .
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Bruce Mowbray: I live in a RL forest... and can frequently be seen levitating. (unrooted as I am, of course).
Riddle Sideways: remembering your photos and talk about the cutting down of your old friend
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, that old friend was 220 years old.
oO0Oo Resident: If we all hold down the left arrow key, it will by like we are on the merry-go-round together
Riddle Sideways: new meaning to bushie-headed, Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: I told the men who cut it down that I'd asked permission of the tree to have them do that . . .
Bruce Mowbray: and they told me that MANY of there customers ask the trees' permission - - and that they thought it totally appropriate.
Riddle Sideways: oh, oh, learned a really fun thing
Riddle Sideways: Bleu has a rotating globe
Bruce Mowbray listens for fun thing.
Riddle Sideways: on the plot near the village square
Riddle Sideways: you can 'sit' on it
Riddle Sideways: and you rotate slowly seeing the sim
    oO0Oo Resident smiles
    oO0Oo Resident: lol
oO0Oo Resident: the fruits of wandering
Storm Nordwind: You can sit on the rotating logo on top of the monument - though it's a little sharp! ;)
    Riddle Sideways: ouch
                         --BELL--
oO0Oo Resident imagines Xirana leading us in a Sardana in a clearing in a forest
    milakel Resident: hi :)
milakel Resident: riddle, traditional question: status report on the android app? :)
Storm Nordwind: Excuse me gentlefolk - I must go do some work before returning to RL
    Storm Nordwind: Namaste
Riddle Sideways: oh, Mila. you are like an endless song
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye Storm
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Storm
    milakel Resident: :P
    Riddle Sideways: bye storm
milakel Resident: riddle, i'm a little motivation poke :)
Riddle Sideways: thanks, will email you and Eos about the API
    milakel Resident: cool :)
Bruce Mowbray: I'm off to do my 99-Days project. To each her happiness!
Riddle Sideways: ummm, Mila how about hooking your 99francs to the wiki?
    milakel Resident: bruce :)
    Bruce Mowbray: bye for now.
    Riddle Sideways: bye by bruce
    milakel Resident: riddle, how?
Riddle Sideways: not sure. it there a WS or call that can get the wiki content for the day
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye bruce
milakel Resident: i can fetch and edit content, but can not create
    Riddle Sideways: bye susan
Riddle Sideways: ah, need to go too.
Riddle Sideways: bye all and thanks
    milakel Resident: poof well :)
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye Susan
Riddle Sideways: happy trails to you... til we meet againnnnn
    oO0Oo Resident: Namaste Riddle
milakel Resident: oh well, i'm off too
    milakel Resident: meep
oO0Oo Resident: Mila loves an android app asks for one to be on tap developers need Milas to get things done pokes of encouragement, all in good fun
