Eden Haiku: Hi Eliza, hi oOOOo:)
    oO0Oo Resident: ntsy Eden
Eliza Madrigal: very cute outfit Eden :)
Eden Haiku: Thank you, Eliza, I like yours too :)
Eden Haiku: Nice to see you too oOOOo :-)
Eliza Madrigal: thanks :) bit subdued... specially for burn season I think :)

Eden Haiku: Ah yes, was at the Burning of the Temple yesterday but missed the burning... too crowded to get in there. Only ashes ...
oO0Oo Resident: I was there too
oO0Oo Resident: and saw the burning
Eden Haiku: Was wearing a 1 prim ARC outfit, but still couldn't get in ;(
Eliza Madrigal: Nice! This time last year I said to myself that I would for sure make events this year, but alas

Eden Haiku: Lucky you O. How was it?
oO0Oo Resident: Good, we wrote some haikus after in chat
    Eden Haiku: oh, nice :-)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
oO0Oo Resident: I was there by accident actually, and then people were talking about a count down... so serendipity for me

    Bleu Oleander: hi everyone :)
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Bleu
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Santoshima :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :)
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Santoshima
    Santoshima Resident: hello everyone
Eden Haiku: Bleu ;-))) Hi! Hi Santoshima, nice to meet you!
Santoshima Resident: hi Eden ~ good to meet you, too!

Eliza Madrigal: So happy to see you all tonight... am getting used to hosting an evening session so a little 'off' but happy :))
Eliza Madrigal: Shall we have an exploration in the pause upcoming?
    Eden Haiku: ;)
    oO0Oo Resident: sure
    Eden Haiku: sure!
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal tries to make associations... burning... kindling.... hm...
    Santoshima Resident: ?
Eden Haiku: mm, yes... inner fire?
    Eliza Madrigal: Nice Eden, sure!
Eliza Madrigal sits up straight... considers...
    oO0Oo Resident: *inner fire*
Eden Haiku: Creative fire in the belly, gut feelings, natural instincts.

    Eliza Madrigal: Really nice! Reports?
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Sat up straight s you said Eliza, excellent start.

oO0Oo Resident: what is the fuel of being... when all drops away but the flame?
    Eden Haiku: ah!
    oO0Oo Resident: eternal flame
Eden Haiku: Flame in each and every cell ...
Eliza Madrigal taking long slow breaths... strong exhales like a dragon :)
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: Fire breathing from the heart
    oO0Oo Resident: breathing dragon cells
oO0Oo Resident: :) what comes first, the friends or the fire of refreshment?
Eliza Madrigal: wow, impossible to say :)
oO0Oo Resident: new take on friendly fire

    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Aphrodite :)
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Bleu Oleander: hey Aph :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hello everyone
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Aph... Hi Observerm
    Eliza Madrigal: Hello Observerm :)
oO0Oo Resident: Feel free to join us Obs

Eliza Madrigal: Aphrodite we've been considering 'inner fire' :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: inner fire...
Aphrodite Macbain: that which ignites us?
    Aphrodite Macbain: propels us
    Aphrodite Macbain: inspires us?
    Eden Haiku: mmm
    Aphrodite Macbain: or something else?
Eden Haiku: somethig like that yes...
    Eliza Madrigal: yes!

Aphrodite Macbain: I suppose we each have our own and use different kindling
Eliza Madrigal: and brings us back to center...
Aphrodite Macbain: there's so much at the centre
oO0Oo Resident: inner fire and balance... consider... winds and centeredness...fuel... flowing in the fuel, from the fuel of connection

Aphrodite Macbain: perhaps the fire is at the core
Aphrodite Macbain: blown by the winds of connection
Aphrodite Macbain: we have to blow out warmth too
Eliza Madrigal: some sort of primal momentum without overlay....
    Aphrodite Macbain: hmmm

Eliza Madrigal: :) suddenly wants to go camping
Aphrodite Macbain: we speak in metaphor. Wonders what we'd do without it
Aphrodite Macbain: I'll bring the marshmallows
Aphrodite Macbain: and a few chestnuts

Eden Haiku: Breathing in the sun rays in order to fuel the inner fire, to fire up our essence. Camping , yes, that would help :)

Eliza Madrigal: Nice :) I'd suppose everyone but Bleu and I are having cool weather now
Aphrodite Macbain: what puts out that inner fire?
    Eliza Madrigal: good question
Bleu Oleander: much cooler here now though
    Aphrodite Macbain: rain perhaps-Vancouver rain
Eden Haiku: No no, here we are having Indian summer now. I'm barefeet in a summer dress at 10 pm :)
Aphrodite Macbain: that's right- you easterners are having a fine time
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh! :)

Eden Haiku: Amazingling beautiful yes :)))
Aphrodite Macbain: we in the west are grey and wet. Hiding inside and studying italian
Eden Haiku: Italian is excellent for firing up inner fires !
Eliza Madrigal: planning another trip Aphrodite? To light your fire? :)
Aphrodite Macbain: while you're paddling and barbecuing we're carrying umbrellas
    Eliza Madrigal: haha yes

    Aphrodite Macbain smiles at Eliza
Aphrodite Macbain: Sam - can you let me know which paB intro card you would like to change. I have so many now...
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, I can resend those to you Aph...
Aphrodite Macbain: We can bring it to the WG meeting
    Eliza Madrigal: no worries
    Aphrodite Macbain: ?
Eliza Madrigal: I have the files so can send them, unless you meant something else

    Aphrodite Macbain: Inner fire
Eliza Madrigal: Do people throw things in with the Burning Man during the festival?
oO0Oo Resident: sorry for the delay in responding, i was writing out a reflection on inner fire to share
Aphrodite Macbain: you said we should talk about changing the notecard which would be in our inventory
Aphrodite Macbain thinks of Joan of Arc
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

oO0Oo Resident: I remember walking in the night... cool, not quite cold.. I had my hands in my jacket pocket, was introspective and "hunched" in on myself... kind of staving of the coolness. then I had a shift of mind. I thought... if I were now walking in excitement to a cherished place/person/event, I would feel different right now. So, I took my hands out, expanded my body, and enlivened my pace... and I felt warmer and more alive. Inner fire had increased.

    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
    Eden Haiku: Beautiful example oOOOo!!!
    Aphrodite Macbain: attitude is everything
Aphrodite Macbain: having a purpose also helps
Eliza Madrigal stops and straightens up again... relaxing, opening.... breathing....
Aphrodite Macbain does the best she can on her chair
    Aphrodite Macbain: *
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Eden Haiku: Eliza, no throwing in the fire at the Burning (in RL yes I think though).
But at the Burning of the Temple, you could write a wish on a notecard and leave it in a bowl there. And it went away in the flames. I did put a wish in there a few days ago :-)

Aphrodite Macbain: up into the aire to the gods
    Eden Haiku: Yepp!!
Eliza Madrigal: that's wonderful.... intend but let go
Eden Haiku: Firing up the inner fire!!!
oO0Oo Resident: Up through the axis mundi ;) (thanks Cal)
Eliza Madrigal: totally devoted and totally empty

Aphrodite Macbain: So, by refocusing your intention you can refire the flame
Eden Haiku: And, as oOOOo said, shifting your posture, you also shift your mind and your vibration.

Eliza Madrigal: Bleu very quiet... surely cooking something, haha....
Bleu Oleander: talked out atm .... from our trip :))
Eden Haiku: What might she be cooking? Blueberry pumkins?
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
Eliza Madrigal: :) OK, just checking... will look forward to hearing about it soon
    Aphrodite Macbain: or pumpkin blueberries
Aphrodite Macbain: which trip? to La Jolla?
    Bleu Oleander: yes, just back
Aphrodite Macbain: Was it successful? How many people came and who was the speaker?
Eden Haiku: Pumpkin, yes... spelling felt off.. Tks ;) LaJolla pumkins with blueberries, the best!
    Aphrodite Macbain: lol Eden
Bleu Oleander: yes, very successful ... lots of good conversations
Aphrodite Macbain: I plan to come to one. Sounds wonderful
Eden Haiku: Had a wonderful conversation once in La Jolla. Great memories of the place.
Bleu Oleander: yes, always a lot of energy
Aphrodite Macbain: what does Jolla mean in Spanish?
Bleu Oleander: La Jolla is beautiful
Eden Haiku: Powered by the waves of the Pacific...
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm

Aphrodite Macbain: thinking about inner fire again

Eden Haiku: What was the meeting about Bleu?
Bleu Oleander: we set up several meetings with interesting people
Bleu Oleander: and take members of our group
    Eden Haiku: Wow, nice!
Aphrodite Macbain: Who were the people?
Eliza Madrigal: I'd imagine those trips, like retreats, unpack over time

Eden Haiku: Received news of my Indian goddaughter who lives in Silicon Valley. She is working on a start up, the sweet baby :)

Bleu Oleander: we met artist Robert Irwin
    Bleu Oleander: in his studio
    Aphrodite Macbain: cool
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh, fantastic Eden
Bleu Oleander: he did the gardens at the Getty Museum in LA

Aphrodite Macbain: Is he still doing installation art?
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: light sculptures...?
    Bleu Oleander: that too
Aphrodite Macbain: He must be pretty old by now...
Bleu Oleander: he's in his 80's
    Aphrodite Macbain: trying to remember...
Bleu Oleander: but still having a great time
Bleu Oleander: very interested in perception

Aphrodite Macbain: wonderful . I'm sure making art keeps one young
Aphrodite Macbain: yes- light and colour, right?
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Eden Haiku: Painters do live very old, true :)
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    Bleu Oleander: hope so :))
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: unless they breathe in too much turpentine
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
Eden Haiku: Picasso, Sonia Delaunay, Renoir... lived well into their nineties
Eden Haiku: Inner fire keeps them alive :)
Aphrodite Macbain: and continued to be productive
Eliza Madrigal: they continually draw from deep within... perhaps keep (back) little

Bleu Oleander: we also met a professor of psychiatry who spoke about sleep
    Aphrodite Macbain: + 99% perspiration...
Aphrodite Macbain: oh? anything new about sleep?
    Bleu Oleander: take a nap
Bleu Oleander: it's good for you
    Aphrodite Macbain: GTSY Sam
Eden Haiku: Ah sleep. Sleep is crawling on my mind now :)
    Eliza Madrigal approves of naps
    Eden Haiku: me too
Aphrodite Macbain: approves of 8 hr sleeps
Eliza Madrigal: yes and all sorts of sleep in fact :)

Bleu Oleander: if you get up at 7am ... 1pm is an ideal time for a nap
Eden Haiku: getting up earlier these days, have to go to bed earlier.
Bleu Oleander: 20 min can be very refreshing
Eliza Madrigal: writing early Eden? or walking?
Aphrodite Macbain: I fnd naps at 3pm are best 4 me
Eden Haiku: Yes, in India, I used to nap 20 minutes around noon time and it was sooo refreshing.
Aphrodite Macbain: also the hot time of the day
Eden Haiku: Writing in the mornings now, walking in the afternoon usually :)

Eliza Madrigal: I did hear that it is OK now to take a longer nap, wheras before it was thought only power naps were refreshing
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    oO0Oo Resident: lol
Aphrodite Macbain: Only mad dogs and Englismen go out in the noonday sun
Bleu Oleander: a 90 min nap can be as good as a night's sleep

oO0Oo Resident feels the flame burning brightly (hears the crackling of pace and conviviality)

Eliza Madrigal: Oh :) So on a good schedule... steady momentum.... @ Eden
Eden Haiku: During monsoon my 20 minutes naps extended to 2 hours sometimes :)
Aphrodite Macbain: soothed by the sound of the falling rain
    Eliza Madrigal: ahhhhhhhhh
    Eden Haiku: aaahhh
    oO0Oo Resident: aaaahhhhhh
    Aphrodite Macbain: ohhhh
Aphrodite Macbain: maybe it's not so bad living in Vancouver
    oO0Oo Resident: bad?
Eliza Madrigal: I'm told it is a paradise
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: It rains like monsoons
    Eliza Madrigal: me loves rain....
Aphrodite Macbain: It hasn't stopped all day
Eden Haiku: Thanksgiving day here, isn't it Aph?
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes.
    Aphrodite Macbain: weekend.
Eliza Madrigal: Happy Thanksgiving to you both, Eden and Aphrodite :)
Eden Haiku: In India, the rain is always seen as a blessing.
    Aphrodite Macbain: Thanks Eliza
    Eden Haiku: Thank you (((Eliza)))
Aphrodite Macbain: Yes- after the long heat and dust
Eliza Madrigal: and for weddings too
Aphrodite Macbain: it cleans out the air and the streets.
Eden Haiku: Is it? For weddings too?
Aphrodite Macbain: Not so great for people living on the street though
Eliza Madrigal: yes I've heard that... rain on weddings is a blessing, though couples choosing the beach may not think so :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: weddings?
Santoshima Resident: and me, eliza, canada over here, too
Eliza Madrigal: for me it is like permission to slow down
    Aphrodite Macbain: portent of fertility
Eliza Madrigal: are you santoshima? Ah, Happy Thanksgving :))

    Santoshima Resident: vancouver

Eliza Madrigal: she sems to enjoy spontaneous walks

Aphrodite Macbain: What happens now Eden?
Eden Haiku: Well I thoght of inviting my father but he was busy with his lady friend, so we just worked as usual :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: Is he doing well?

oO0Oo Resident contemplates connection between inner fire and thanksgiving

Eden Haiku: Ys, Eliza, my Dad is great. He might go on vacation in Cuba in a few weeks. At 87 :)
    Eliza Madrigal: wow Cuba?
Eliza Madrigal: what makes him want to visit Cuba?
Eliza Madrigal: inner fire of appreciation, recognition... so nice, oO0Oo...
Eden Haiku: He's a bit nervous about it (doesn't like airplanes much) but his lady friend is very convincing :)
