Wol Euler was guardian for this session.

    Wol Euler: good morning, Cal
Wol Euler: you are up early, or very late
Calvino Rabeni: Good morning .. yes late-ish
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: ah, coffee is finally ready. brb
Calvino Rabeni: I'm only here for a brief visit I think
Wol Euler: nice to see you, however briefly

    Calvino Rabeni: :)
Calvino Rabeni: The biggest religion in Switzerland?
Wol Euler: I believe the majority are protestant
Wol Euler: but couldn't tell you with certainty
Calvino Rabeni: According to a recent survey it is ...
    Calvino Rabeni: Tibetan Buddhism
    Wol Euler: O.O
    Wol Euler: okaaaaaay
Wol Euler: I'd want to know a little about sample size and methodology :)
Calvino Rabeni: That seems like it would be self-reported, rather than by cultural background
Wol Euler: but even so ...
Wol Euler: there are a lot of Swiss ...
Calvino Rabeni: Yes, it would be good to have a credible source referring to these statistical reports
    Calvino Rabeni: giving their methodologies
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: a kind of clearing-house for reliability
Wol Euler: perhaps unworkable :) because that too would be self-reported :)
Calvino Rabeni: Yes ... well a meta collection of research seems feasible
Wol Euler: it would almost be a solution if the poll presenters would give footnotes about size and methods
Wol Euler: that would give us a measure of confidence (or justified skepticism) in the results
Wol Euler: I am reminded of a similar poll in England a few years ago, which gave Pastafarian as the fourth-largest religiion there :)
Wol Euler: I found that result improbable
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Calvino Rabeni: http://www.amazon.com/Gods-Diseases-...dp/0415520630/
Calvino Rabeni: Is about the movement of psychiatry and other mental health professions back towards treating religion and spirituality as a legitimate human concern
Calvino Rabeni: "The Fish will be the last to know ...
    Calvino Rabeni: .. Water" :)
    Wol Euler: interesting
Calvino Rabeni: ooh sorry, my brief visit must end :)
Calvino Rabeni: Thanks, take care, WOL :)
Wol Euler: bye cal, sleep well
    Calvino Rabeni: TY, Bye

A brief pause, during which I thought quiet thoughts.

    Alfred Kelberry: wee!
    Alfred Kelberry: mmm, woly :)
    Alfred Kelberry: *hugs*
    Wol Euler: good morning, boxy
    Alfred Kelberry: hi :)
    Wol Euler rubs your corners
    Alfred Kelberry: cute girl :)
Alfred Kelberry: how are you? relaxing before work?
    Wol Euler: something like that
    Alfred Kelberry: good plan
    Alfred Kelberry: read pema's email?
    Wol Euler: not yet
    Alfred Kelberry: on retreat
Alfred Kelberry: i think he's right. there is less interest now than before.
    Wol Euler is sad.
Alfred Kelberry: no, don't be :) *perks your nose*
    Wol Euler laughs.
    Alfred Kelberry: things change

    Alfred Kelberry: evolve
    Alfred Kelberry: :
Alfred Kelberry: i think it's important to not label it as good or bad (as pema said)
    Wol Euler is still sad.
Alfred Kelberry: yet i think i can sense sadness in his narrative
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Alfred Kelberry: which is something we all sense and it's normal
Alfred Kelberry: yet we have to keep playing and enjoy the present :)
Alfred Kelberry: you never know what awaits around the corner
    Wol Euler: of course
Wol Euler: but just on a general note: when the buddha said "don't be attached to your emotions", I do not think he meant "do not HAVE emotions"
Alfred Kelberry: also, 3-4 years period is when often times change happens in the dynamics of married couples :)
    Wol Euler: heh
    Alfred Kelberry: *nods to emotions*
Alfred Kelberry: i think the gist was to not let those emotions drag you down
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Wol Euler: so, how is Spring in Venice looking?
Wol Euler: oh, I should have sent you my dates and that residence info
Alfred Kelberry: um, can't say just yet
Alfred Kelberry: aph is willing to go in the fall
Wol Euler: well, fall is nice too
Wol Euler: end of september, say: tourists are gone but it's still warm enough to eat outdoors every evening
    Alfred Kelberry: yes! :)
Alfred Kelberry: i hope a meetup will pop up in the u.s./canada as well
    Wol Euler nods.
Alfred Kelberry: what do you think about the empty slots? should we just drop those unfortunate hours?
    Wol Euler sighs.
Wol Euler tries not to have Attachments.
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Wol Euler: which slots are empty?
    Alfred Kelberry: 7
    Wol Euler: good god.
Alfred Kelberry: look up the eliza's last email
Wol Euler: that's a quarter of the week!
Wol Euler: I had no idea it was so bad
Alfred Kelberry: wait, are you on the wg list?
    Alfred Kelberry: ah, you're not
    Wol Euler: possibly not
Alfred Kelberry: yes, we discuss this at the moment
Alfred Kelberry: things change and i think we have to adapt and go along rather than try to bring back the past
Alfred Kelberry: that's what pemayana says as well :)
Alfred Kelberry: oh, there's an exciting rumor that i'm not going to tell :)
Alfred Kelberry: something that popped up unexpectedly and also connects the past with the present :)
    Wol Euler: ah :)
    Wol Euler: teaser
    Alfred Kelberry: yep :)
    Wol Euler: heheheh

Alfred Kelberry: xiri girl is on
Alfred Kelberry: she wants us in spain :)
Wol Euler: that is fine by me; the issue remains "how many are we?"
Wol Euler: three in spain is not different to three in ireland
    Alfred Kelberry: no idea
Alfred Kelberry: 3 is fine by me :)
Wol Euler: I do not believe that we were more than three for spain
    Wol Euler: hello xir!
    Alfred Kelberry: xiri girl :)
Xirana Oximoxi: good morning Wol, Boxy:)
Alfred Kelberry: tlaking about span :)

Wol Euler: yay for new computers
Alfred Kelberry: ah, congrats! fresh computer for the friday mayhem :)
Xirana Oximoxi: are you talking about coming to Spain?
Alfred Kelberry: yes, in common terms
Wol Euler: we are talking about how sad it is that only 3 people wanted to go on retreat this summer
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...coming to SL with no good computer is not fun :)
Xirana Oximoxi: ah yes.. it's sad
Xirana Oximoxi: but I also understand that it's quite expensive coming from the other side of the world
    Wol Euler: sure
Wol Euler: but it is no cheaper for us to go there!
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes..the same:)
Alfred Kelberry: what's the closest big city from you, xiri?
Xirana Oximoxi: well...Barcelona is 100 km. :)... and then the most next to me is Vic
Xirana Oximoxi: it's a small city, but nice and quick to visit
Alfred Kelberry: barcelona is sure worth a visit :)
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...in Barcelona there are a lot of things to do, to visit, restaurants..activities...
    Wol Euler nods.
Alfred Kelberry: you know the city well?

    Xirana Oximoxi: yes:)
