The Guardian for this special Regarding Reality session, was Maxine Walden.

    Eliza Madrigal: Morning Sam :)
oO0Oo Resident: Good evening Eliza :)
oO0Oo Resident: Unless you mean SLT morning.. in which case.. good morning
    Eliza Madrigal: :) sure
oO0Oo Resident: or perhaps it is morning where you live
Eliza Madrigal: forgive me, brb, getting settled

    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Maxine :)
Eliza Madrigal: oh goodness... you are stripey again
Maxine Walden: hi, everyone! Got stripes!
Eliza Madrigal: curious the way that happens to you!
Eliza Madrigal: but sort of cute :)
Maxine Walden: oh, yes, one of those wonderful 'transformational' things...not sure what it is!
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Maxine, Pema :)
Eliza Madrigal: like the gum... with the zebra...
Maxine Walden: hi, Pema, hi O
Pema Pera: hi Max, O, Eliza!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Pema :)
    Eliza Madrigal: (juicy fruit) :)
    Maxine Walden: :))
    Pema Pera: hi Wester!
    Maxine Walden: hi, Wester
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Wester :)
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Wester :)
    Wester Kiranov: hi all

Maxine Walden: O, thanks for the golden heart!
Maxine Walden: Sent for our discussions today?
    Maxine Walden: http://www.tibetanpulsinghealing.com/h-heart-web.gif
    Maxine Walden: :)
    Maxine Walden: whole-heartedness perhaps
oO0Oo Resident: :) Your outline seemed so genuinely loving.
Maxine Walden: hmm, from the heart

    Eliza Madrigal: Morning, Adams :)
    Wester Kiranov: hi adams
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Adams
    Pema Pera: hi Adams!
    Maxine Walden: hi, Adams
    Adams Rubble: hello everyone :)
    Pema Pera: hi Bleu!
    oO0Oo Resident: Bleu :)
    Wester Kiranov: hi bleu
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :)
    Adams Rubble: hello Bleu :)

Maxine Walden: You may have caught the spirit of what 'whole-mindedness' O; a view of reality from a place of deep quiet love
Maxine Walden: I cannot seem to be able to grab the note I sent out as reminder of this meeting; am at another computer...but it was about the attitude/state of mind needed to heal all the fractured elements we endure in daily life and beyond...to gather them together with compassion for self and other
Maxine Walden: And I thought we might wish to ponder our view of such, which I was calling 'whole-mindedness'; attentiveness with compassion but also sturdiness when required

Wester Kiranov: isn't sturdiness a part of compassion?
Maxine Walden: think so, Wester, even though it seems softer perhaps at times
Bleu Oleander: can you say more about the concept of sturdiness?
Maxine Walden: It can be difficult sometimes, I think: to be open to receive pain, anger, etc without withering; but rather to appreciate the pain rather than be withered by it

Maxine Walden: receiving the message of the pain or anger, to appreciate the pain without taking it personally; sometimes dificult to do when we ourselves are feeling vulnerable to such pain.
Maxine Walden: Sturdiness has to do with that gentle kind of shield, for me...
Maxine Walden: but what do others think about this?

Pema Pera: the challenge in anything in life is not to be caught by polarities
Pema Pera: gentle and sturdy may seem contradictory
Pema Pera: as do many other properties of a really balanced person

Bleu Oleander: what is a really balanced person?
Maxine Walden: O, thankshmm, wonderful question: what thoughts bleu?
Pema Pera: a definition in how many words, Bleu? (^_^)
Pema Pera: I guess we recognize balance when we meet it
Bleu Oleander: does it take a really balanced person to define a really balanced person?
    Maxine Walden: :)
Pema Pera: there is no rigorous definition of rigor :-)

Wester Kiranov: One of the things about balance, is that it shifts all the time
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Pema Pera nods
Maxine Walden: the balancing of balance?
oO0Oo Resident: are there polarities when "whole mindedness" is occurring??
Wester Kiranov: I think when you have definition of balnce, you have lost it already
    Maxine Walden: :), Wester
    Maxine Walden: intriguing question, O:
Bleu Oleander: is balance a subjective mind state?
Wester Kiranov: I think to the "whole" mind, polariteis still exist, but they become less real. It becomes more visible that they are really the same
Pema Pera: perhaps all problems stem from falling into polarities
    Pema Pera nods again

Maxine Walden: the whole minded capacity gently neutralizes the polarities as they are sensed, but not in a diminishing way, but in a way which values the humanity within the polarity...softens the edges, perhaps
Maxine Walden: I think problems do stem from falling into polarities, agree, Pema. And maybe 'falling into' is important in the 'creation' of polarity
Eliza Madrigal: maybe one question is whether there must be conflict in contradiction... maybe not as often as we're used to being sure of
Maxine Walden: for me a polarity develops when I narrow my view, become 'certain' of a certain view/value/position and thus intolerant of any other...

Wester Kiranov: This is a very bodily metaphor - the balncing, and the falling of to a side if you're not balanced. I wonder if other metaphors would work?
oO0Oo Resident: maybe no dis-balance, when willing and able (open to be) with polarities?

Wester Kiranov: balance as an embrace of both sides of the coin?
Pema Pera picturing Wester with a very large coin . . . :)
    Maxine Walden: :)
    Wester Kiranov: :-D
    Wester Kiranov: coin-cuddling ;-P
    Maxine Walden: soft-edged coin?

    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Luci! :)
    Maxine Walden: hi, luci
Eliza Madrigal: (will give you a note)
    Pema Pera: hi Lucinda
    Adams Rubble: Hello Lucinda :)
    oO0Oo Resident: Luci.. hello :)
    Maxine Walden: thanks, Eliza
    Bleu Oleander: hi Luci :)
Wester Kiranov: hi lucy. lovely dress
    Wester Kiranov: like a sunset
    Maxine Walden: yes!
    Lucinda Lavender: HI everyone...:)

Pema Pera: Luci's dress goes very well with Sam's heart: http://www.tibetanpulsinghealing.com/h-heart-web.gif
    Maxine Walden: indeed!!
Lucinda Lavender: I did notice that:)
    oO0Oo Resident: and Wester's universal embrace :)
    Pema Pera: :-)

Lucinda Lavender: wearing the fire dress for a reason
Lucinda Lavender: concert week for me...
    Maxine Walden: wonderful, luci!
    Lucinda Lavender: sense of passion
Eliza Madrigal: "the heart is an organ of fire"...
Eliza Madrigal: singing your heart out? :)
    oO0Oo Resident: whole heartedly :)
Lucinda Lavender: and presence of the firebird suite that appears in the concert as well:)
Maxine Walden: and is the whole-heart an organ of gentle, purifying fire of a sort?
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: not quite awake fingers here
Eliza Madrigal: ah, nice Maxine :)
Lucinda Lavender: yes for me Maxine
    Maxine Walden: :)

Maxine Walden: so part of wholemindedness involves a metabolizing function which cares for the thorns that pierce our well-being, so that we can appreciate the sharpness but not succomb to the piercing
Maxine Walden: (feel I am perhaps being repetitive, but just thinking for one more time about the internal care which this state of mind provides
Eliza Madrigal: it is useful Maxine... was just considering that I feel imbalanced when I may have a lot of not-yet-integrated input or dynamics
Adams Rubble: when our heart opens to love or compassion, it releases all the silly cares of the mind
Lucinda Lavender: I am thinking about how music...hearing it deeply seems to stir one into wholeness...
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm
Maxine Walden: appreciating these thoughts offered....
    Eliza Madrigal: music in everything

Maxine Walden: does music for you, Luci, sort of gently wrap you in its embrace?
Lucinda Lavender: yes...and rythm...canot spell it but think I was aware listening to stravinsky...power of newness
Lucinda Lavender: the sweeping statements in music
Lucinda Lavender: it is outside seeming tho when it is so grand
Lucinda Lavender: one becomes swept up perhaps

Maxine Walden: and you said earlier 'hearing it deeply stirs one into wholeness'...
    Lucinda Lavender: yes...
Eliza Madrigal: apologies... have a call and need to duck out early. Thanks so much Maxine and everyone
Lucinda Lavender: maybe a sense of unity within a larger context happens:)

    Eliza Madrigal: be well
    Bleu Oleander: bye Eliza :)
    Wester Kiranov: bye eliza
    Adams Rubble: bye Eliza :)
oO0Oo Resident: Bye Eliza.. gtsy :)

Maxine Walden: just thinking of how feeling deeply in something one feels passionate about, music for Luci, art for Bleu and others, writing sometimes for those who choose to...these endeavors may gather our unintegrated bits toward 'wholeness'
    Pema Pera: bye Eliza!
Maxine Walden: Another thought: that our view of Reality may be most balanced from this 'whole' place; least distorted by pains, certainties, polarites from within as well as from without

Wester Kiranov: So, the idea is to integrate the all into a whole?
Maxine Walden: such gives us the deepest, richest glimpses of Reality, I think
Wester Kiranov: or to include more and more into your experienced wholeness?
    Maxine Walden: yes
Lucinda Lavender: reading the rest of this session:)
    Maxine Walden: :)
Lucinda Lavender: and thinking about polarities and balancing

Adams Rubble: I must go. Thank you everybody :)
    Wester Kiranov: bye adams
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye Adams :)
    Maxine Walden: thanks Adams,
    Bleu Oleander: bye Adams
    Lucinda Lavender: certainties... bye Adams:)
    Pema Pera: bye Adams!

Maxine Walden: and it may be that we are the end of this conversation in terms of the quiet and the time....

    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    Pema Pera: thanks again, Maxine!
Bleu Oleander: thank you Maxine, take care everyone :)
    oO0Oo Resident: appreciate it
    oO0Oo Resident: I do
Maxine Walden: thanks everyone for the conversation!
    Wester Kiranov: thank you all
    oO0Oo Resident: ty everyone
    Maxine Walden: bye for now
    Pema Pera: bye everybody!
    Lucinda Lavender: Yes Maxine:)
    Bleu Oleander: bye bye!
    Lucinda Lavender: thank you...
    Wester Kiranov: namaste
