The Guardian for this meeting was Pema Pera. The comments are by Pema Pera.

    Multiverse1 Resident: hello ooOoo
    oO0Oo Resident: Hiya Multi !
Multiverse1 Resident: I sense energy in your self
Multiverse1 Resident: How is your day?
    Multiverse1 Resident: Hiya, Pema
Pema Pera: hi there, O and Multi in a far corner :-)
    Multiverse1 Resident: the distance?
Pema Pera: the outer row :)
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Pema.. :)
Multiverse1 Resident: is there a corner to this circle, then? hhmmm
oO0Oo Resident: LOL.. I erased a sinilar question
Pema Pera: you created one by breaking the symmetry :-)
Multiverse1 Resident: so the four corners of the Earth
Multiverse1 Resident: have heard of such , in writings
oO0Oo Resident: Nice to be cornered together
    Multiverse1 Resident: :-)
Pema Pera: we're now flying in V formation :)
Multiverse1 Resident: I rarely use gestures, but..
oO0Oo Resident imagines the virtual world to as a flying carpet
    Multiverse1 Resident: cornered in time
Multiverse1 Resident: rode a flying carpet, here in sl, was great!
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Pema Pera: yes, I like those various modes of SL transportation
Multiverse1 Resident: wonder if sandpaper, would smooth the edges
Pema Pera: carries over easily into dreams in RL
    Pema Pera: hi Steve!
stevenaia Michinaga: hi Pema Multi, Samud
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Stevenaia :)
Multiverse1 Resident: hmm, how so, Pema?
    Multiverse1 Resident: Hi Stevania
Pema Pera: I mean that some of the elements of SL, like flying, stimulates my dreams, and such elements then show up in dreams sometimes
    oO0Oo Resident nods
    Pema Pera: hi Storm!
    Storm Nordwind: Hi all :)
oO0Oo Resident: A magic carpet maker
Multiverse1 Resident: hmm, real life does that sometymes, has not happened from here yet
    stevenaia Michinaga: Hi Storm
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Storm !
    Multiverse1 Resident: Hi Storm
Pema Pera: so for me, dream life (DL) sometimes interpolates between RL and SL
stevenaia Michinaga: don;t remember if I had any SL influenced dreams
Pema Pera: how about you Storm?
Multiverse1 Resident: well, that I can agree then
Storm Nordwind: SL influenced dreams? Hmm...
Pema Pera: or just dreams in which you teleport, fly, look around corners, etc
Storm Nordwind: I'm sure there has been SL content from time to time...
    Storm Nordwind: Oh I see
Multiverse1 Resident: Well for me sl is rl, just another toy
Storm Nordwind: Teleporting is never any fun. I fly everywhere if I can in SL!
Pema Pera: (or "click" on people to get to know more about them; that certainly has happened in some of my dreams)
Storm Nordwind: And yes I've had flying dreams
Multiverse1 Resident: well that, I can't do in rl,except to say hello, and converse etc.
Storm Nordwind: Oh I click on people in real life - not dreaming - and wonder why nothing happens!
    Pema Pera: :-)
    oO0Oo Resident: lol
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Storm Nordwind: And I try and move my "camera" to look at the other side of signs - and I feel my fingers moving as I do... but again nothing happens!
Pema Pera: yes, wanting to look around corners, I know the feeling!
Storm Nordwind: Linden Lab don't seem to have exported their 3D interface to "reality" yet :)
Pema Pera: hybrid reality may well be the future of virtual reality . . . .
oO0Oo Resident: That happens for me more with a web browser.. after a session of SL. Wanting to use camera controls on a page.
Pema Pera: overlaying google maps with walking around in the world, say
    Storm Nordwind: Yes Sam!
stevenaia Michinaga: not much big has changed here in the past few years
    Pema Pera nods at Sam
Multiverse1 Resident: I like that term, Hybrid Reality
Storm Nordwind: Oh that happens already. At Vashon retreat, Luci was showing me a start chart that she could move against the sky and the constellations would slew accordingly
    Storm Nordwind: *star chart
    Pema Pera: ah yes
Pema Pera: and of course, the whole idea of street signs is hybrid: without street signs in RL there would be no use of have street names on a map; a many centuries old form of hybrid reality
Storm Nordwind: /I know there are things for smart phones that hook into GPS and review websites and camera angle sensors, and bring up recommendations for restaurants that you point your phone at.
Multiverse1 Resident: It's funny for me in sl, using the camera. It seems like an extension of my reality of life here in my livingroom.
stevenaia Michinaga: sounds close to the search feature in SL
Pema Pera: and soon our cell phones will carry profiles so that we can truly click on each other . . .
Storm Nordwind: Quick. I need an alt!
    Pema Pera: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: that would be freightening, never knowing who you are talking to
Storm Nordwind: You mean you know at the moment (he says mysteriously)?
Multiverse1 Resident: That too, spoke of an experiment once here. Taking a friend of mine, in real life in real time, and letting him be "Multiverse". did not work well
Pema Pera: I often wonder myself who is talking when I talk . . . .
stevenaia Michinaga: no, if Alts became part of RL
stevenaia Michinaga: gives an entirely new meaning to blind dates
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Pema Pera: perhaps we are all Alts of Being already . . .
    Pema Pera: in RL
Multiverse1 Resident: no, someone besides me and giving him my entry abilities
    Multiverse1 Resident: like hacking a persons computer/self, I guess
Multiverse1 Resident: like steve would sit down at pemas computer, for example
stevenaia Michinaga: or being John Malcovitch
    Multiverse1 Resident: yep
Pema Pera: Wol and I have tried to play each other's role
Pema Pera: for a short time
Pema Pera: just me talking like Wol and Wol talking like me
Pema Pera: that was an interesting experiment
Multiverse1 Resident: not to play, but maybe in a way
stevenaia Michinaga: I once borrowed someone;s Avatar while they were sorting through my inventory, never realized it would be as strange as it was
    Pema Pera: hi Luci
    Multiverse1 Resident: Hi Lucinda
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Luci
Storm Nordwind: It comes more easily if you're used to role playing. I had many concurrent avatars once. Now I only bring out another couple to test builds.
    Lucinda Lavender: HI All:)
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Luci!
    oO0Oo Resident: Luci :)
Multiverse1 Resident: I find it disturbing, ( and have) since I came to SL. Then I realized it was just an extension of the internet
stevenaia Michinaga: it;s even more confusing when I confuse Adam's alts and then they explain that it was a diferent Adams who I had a conversation with
    Pema Pera: :-)
    Storm Nordwind smiles
Multiverse1 Resident: voice however sheds extreme light on this for me, and I'm sure skype, or some semblance thereof in the near future
Pema Pera: as for "just an extension of the internet" you could also say that a painting is "just a bunch of paint" but that in itself doesn't clarify much . . . .
Multiverse1 Resident: find it hard to be someone else, yet easier for someone to be me here.
Pema Pera: of "people are just a bunch of atoms"
    Ewan Bonham: Hellofolks
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Ewan
    Pema Pera: hi Ewan!
    Multiverse1 Resident: and molecules, too!
    stevenaia Michinaga: HI Ewan
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Ewan
    Multiverse1 Resident: Hiya Ewan
    oO0Oo Resident: Ewan :)
Multiverse1 Resident: Pema, I was talking about the ability to mask ones ? true identity in the cyber world
oO0Oo Resident wonders when "not knowing" becomes "disturbing" .. and is that similar to atoms becoming humans, or paint becoming paintings
    Multiverse1 Resident: must be yes
Ewan Bonham: Do we mask an identity or do we discover our identity?
Multiverse1 Resident: almost left sl because of that
stevenaia Michinaga: many aspect f ourselves yet to be discovered
Pema Pera: yes, masking one's identity is possible in many ways, but building a different identity here in SL feels different to me than taking a fake name in a chat room
Multiverse1 Resident: same to me though
    Ewan Bonham: Nodding...
    Pema Pera: more fully emersive
Ewan Bonham: Because we do build one here..
stevenaia Michinaga: similar to wrting a novel exploring ddifferent personalities
    Tess Aristocrat: waves :)
Multiverse1 Resident: still in my living room though
Pema Pera: hi Tess and hi Eliza!
Storm Nordwind: One can do it dispassionately or one can do it immersively. It feels different to oneself and to others around us.
    Pema Pera: yes!
Pema Pera: very different on both counts
    Multiverse1 Resident: different, yes
Ewan Bonham: Hi Tess and Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Everyone
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Eliza, Tess
    oO0Oo Resident: Tess , Eliza :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Tess, Eliza
    Lucinda Lavender: Tess, Eliza:)
    Multiverse1 Resident: Hi Eliza, Tess
Pema Pera: Sorry to leave early, but it has been a long day, and I'll have to get up early again tomorrow . . . .
Storm Nordwind: Sleep well. Bye for now!
oO0Oo Resident: Night Pema :) Rest well.
    stevenaia Michinaga: night pema
    Ewan Bonham: Bye Pema..
Eliza Madrigal: ah, sorry to miss you Pema :)
Pema Pera: was a lot of fun chatting with you all !
Lucinda Lavender: best wishes for your day:)
    Eliza Madrigal: Night
    stevenaia Michinaga: sweet SL dreams
    Pema Pera: bfn
Multiverse1 Resident: Maybe I do not feel that way, since I am yet newer, and have not experienced as much, then
    Multiverse1 Resident: Night Pema
Multiverse1 Resident: yet I have ridden a magic carpet here, just as in my former dreams
stevenaia Michinaga: wonders at what pount our little avatars will begin their own life after we sign off?
    stevenaia Michinaga: *point
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Tess Aristocrat: Happy Valentines day to you all
Multiverse1 Resident: the point of disapation
Eliza Madrigal: Happy Valentines Day Tess :)
Lucinda Lavender: Thanks TEss...same for you...
    oO0Oo Resident: Thanks Tess
Multiverse1 Resident: Happy valentines in 80 minutes here
    Tess Aristocrat: close enough :)
    Multiverse1 Resident: yep
    Eliza Madrigal: :) agrees
Ewan Bonham: Yes...Happy V Day to you ...:)
Multiverse1 Resident: I bet your heart is Very warm and Red!
Tess Aristocrat: You'd bet correctly :)
Multiverse1 Resident: and I rarely do!
    Tess Aristocrat: hehehe
Multiverse1 Resident: not a gambler usually
Tess Aristocrat: I'm not a big gambler either
Ewan Bonham: Love is never a gamble..
Multiverse1 Resident: hhmm, I would not bet that!
stevenaia Michinaga: but there are risks
Multiverse1 Resident: risks are good for growth
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Tess Aristocrat: Gamble everything for love, if you’re a true human being. If not, leave this gathering. Half-heartedness doesn’t reach into majesty. You set out to find God, but then you keep stopping for long periods at meanspirited roadhouses. Don’t wait any longer. Dive in the ocean, leave and let the sea be you. Silent, absent, walking an empty road, all praise. -- Rumi
Lucinda Lavender: Luci thinks back to the day...what risks were taken?
Ewan Bonham: I love the poem, the message, and Rumi..
    Eliza Madrigal: thank you Tess
    Tess Aristocrat: yes, you're welcome
Eliza Madrigal: Interesting question Luci (thinking)
    Multiverse1 Resident: wow
Lucinda Lavender: and today it seemed that the new risk was lightening up my hold on the way the classroom appears...
stevenaia Michinaga: the risk of a vulnerable heart
Lucinda Lavender: accepting that each child is looking for work there but that they will lead the way...
Ewan Bonham: How would I feel Love if I have not opened my heart..
Tess Aristocrat: yes, rather to be vulnerable and open than hard and closed.
Lucinda Lavender: my job is to extend what they are doing...gently
    Eliza Madrigal: :) trust Luci
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes, Tess
    Ewan Bonham: Smile @ Lucinda
    stevenaia Michinaga: usually always true
Multiverse1 Resident: / to open your heart?
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Multiverse1 Resident: do you have to trust
Eliza Madrigal: "And the time came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." Anaïs Nin
Storm Nordwind: Some of you may have read this well-known poem about risk, trust, opening oneself and growth: ... “Come to the edge. We might fall. Come to the edge. It's too high! COME TO THE EDGE! And they came And he pushed And they flew.” ― Christopher Logue
Eliza Madrigal: :) Have never read that Storm, Nice
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Multiverse1 Resident: not sure, but it resonates
Tess Aristocrat: I think, for myself that is, that I can have an open heart and be loving and also have some prudence, and allow trust to come as it does.
Multiverse1 Resident: our protective instinctive barriers
Ewan Bonham: Yes, and to have an open heart, does not mean we are opening ourselves to hurt..
Ewan Bonham: Cause we still have both a mind...and the guidance of spirit...:)
    oO0Oo Resident: *
Multiverse1 Resident: but, I would rather be stabbed then , then at any other tyme.
Tess Aristocrat: I like to show kindness to people every day with every opportunity. When I do that, I find it multiplies.
Eliza Madrigal: the joy of every day risks
Multiverse1 Resident: a step beyond, our comfort zone , say
    Ewan Bonham: Smile@ Eliza
    Multiverse1 Resident: thhe unknown
Multiverse1 Resident: or yet to be known
Tess Aristocrat: Sometimes I may encounter people that mistake kindness for weakness and try to take advantage of it. That's where prudence steps in.
Multiverse1 Resident: mystery, is that definition for me
Eliza Madrigal: and where does that instinct come from Tess?
    Multiverse1 Resident: yes
    Multiverse1 Resident: vulnerability
    Tess Aristocrat: Which one?
    Eliza Madrigal: prudence
Ewan Bonham: Hmmm...and gentleness for weakness..
Multiverse1 Resident: you heart lay open
Tess Aristocrat: Simple cause and effect :)
    Multiverse1 Resident: yes instinct
Multiverse1 Resident: for me at least
Multiverse1 Resident: or learned, perhaps is better here
    Multiverse1 Resident: apprehension
    Tess Aristocrat: yes..good ..Learned
stevenaia Michinaga: bedtime for me, night my friends
Storm Nordwind: I recall the master Langri Tangpa, who in his Eight Verses for Training the Mind included always accepting defeat and offering the victory to others. If one can do that with compassion and without attachment, one can never be hurt when opening up to others.
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Night Stevenaia
    Multiverse1 Resident: By Steveniaia
    Tess Aristocrat: Night Stevie :)
    Storm Nordwind waves
    Ewan Bonham: Nite Steve...:)
    Lucinda Lavender: sweet dreams Steve:)
    oO0Oo Resident: Night Stev :)
    Tess Aristocrat: yes Storm :D
Eliza Madrigal: :) accepting defeat that's love alright, haha
    Tess Aristocrat: That is grace
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Multiverse1 Resident: it is an open heart
Eliza Madrigal: lovely, thank you all
    Tess Aristocrat: Night Eliza
    Multiverse1 Resident: Night Liza
    Ewan Bonham: Nite Eliza..
Storm Nordwind: Bye for now. Sleep well!
    oO0Oo Resident: Night
Eliza Madrigal: will say goodnight and blessings :) thanks
    Lucinda Lavender: sweet dreams eliza:)
Multiverse1 Resident: to bad in sl, I can't rewind that and change camera angles
Multiverse1 Resident: just a thought mind you
Ewan Bonham: All thoughts are precious
Tess Aristocrat: Well, I guess I should go to bed. Have a good evening :)
Multiverse1 Resident: or wre in that instance
    Storm Nordwind: Night Tess!
    Multiverse1 Resident: night Tess
    Ewan Bonham: night Tess
    Lucinda Lavender: whispers night:)to Tess
    oO0Oo Resident: Night Tess
    Multiverse1 Resident: whispers nothing
Multiverse1 Resident: But I too, shall dissapate, be well all!
Lucinda Lavender: 8 plus 13 plus 7= the number of valentines I should now go make...
    Storm Nordwind waves
    Lucinda Lavender: night Multi:)
Ewan Bonham: nite Folks and thanks...
    Lucinda Lavender: night Ewan:)
oO0Oo Resident: I will go too.. Best wishes all :)
Storm Nordwind: And I should go check the Art Dome. :)
    Storm Nordwind: Bye all!
    Lucinda Lavender: Bye Storm:)
    Lucinda Lavender: and Samud
