oO0Oo Resident: Hi Stev, Pema Raffila :)
    Pema Pera: hi there, raffila!
    Raffila Millgrove: oopsie. hello all.
Pema Pera: Have you been here before, Rafila?
Raffila Millgrove: yes.. i know we are recorded. Yes i have rec'd the info on Pab. Yes i have been before. Thank you.
    Pema Pera: :-)
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Pema Pera: nice to meet you!
Raffila Millgrove: nice to meet you too.
Pema Pera: do you have any questions (or comments) as to what we are doing here?
Raffila Millgrove: no thank you. I have read logs, webpages, listened.
Pema Pera: sounds like you really immersed yourself already!
    Raffila Millgrove likes to research.
Pema Pera: we are quite motley crew . . . .
stevenaia Michinaga: wonders where one begins with the logs when you first come across them
stevenaia Michinaga: quite a bit on the wiki
    oO0Oo Resident: so much
Raffila Millgrove: takes a long time to read them all. admit i didn't read all of them, yet.
Pema Pera: and I see that you are really an oldtimer in SL, 2006, wow!
stevenaia Michinaga: if you had , you would be one of the few, I suspect
Pema Pera: you must have seen a lot of changes in SL over the years . . .
Pema Pera: /nods to Steve :-)
Raffila Millgrove: yes. many old sims i love--gone. many people i liked--gone. I was here before sculpties, before voice. the world looks and is much different.
stevenaia Michinaga: I am amazed how little has actually changed with how software interact with the user
    stevenaia Michinaga: hmmm
Pema Pera: I arrived in 2007 and took roots only in 2008, but already then there was a sense of impending decline from the heydays . . . .
Pema Pera: the future is probably in yet-to-come web-browser-based virtual worlds . . . .
Raffila Millgrove: would say you arrived. right at the peak 2007-2008.. those were exciting years.
    Pema Pera: YES!
    Pema Pera: very much so
Pema Pera: the sense of freedom, of liberation beyond imagination . . .
Pema Pera: it reminded me of the late sixties, when I was in high school .. . . .
Pema Pera: anything goes kind of feeling
Raffila Millgrove: yes.. late sixties and early seventies.. exciting time of life.
stevenaia Michinaga: beg the question, what next, I came from IRC charooms, AOL chatrooms to this and never looked back
Raffila Millgrove: so full of promise.
Pema Pera: I'm amazed that sixties music is still everywhere on radio and in cafes
Pema Pera: while in the sixties you never heard, say, forties music
    Raffila Millgrove: so true.
stevenaia Michinaga: and "youth" still listen to it
Pema Pera: time is clearly not linear . . . it moves in spurts, like eartquakes
Pema Pera: yes, I keep meeting people in their twenties who know all about sixties music, really odd . . . .
Raffila Millgrove: in deciding to log all the chats.. Pema. What will happen to that data.. willl a day come when it is used somehow?
Pema Pera: any day it can be used by anybody
    oO0Oo Resident: Storm, Aphrodite :)
Pema Pera: it is all open source, free, open domain
Pema Pera: hi Storm and Aph!
    Storm Nordwind: Hello everyone
Raffila Millgrove: when boxy is here. i ask him to do keywords.. on the red ribbon to find chat that matches.. things we are talking. that is very cool.
Pema Pera: I like the idea of sharing.
    stevenaia Michinaga: Hi Storm, Aphrodite
Aphrodite Macbain: Hi Pema, Sam, Storm Raffila
Pema Pera: yes, boxy has been a great help!
Raffila Millgrove: Hello Aphrodite and Storm.
    Aphrodite Macbain: Stevenaia
Pema Pera: Storm, I just noticed the red ring, during the break, is that one of your tricks!
Raffila Millgrove: this ribbon.. and the chatlog--they have great potential to change time.
Pema Pera: it's a great addition!
Raffila Millgrove: it is from Boxy.
    Pema Pera: ribbon?
    Raffila Millgrove: he made it.
    Pema Pera: ah!
Raffila Millgrove: the red ribbon that is surrounding us. it can access the chat logs.
    Pema Pera: great addition
    Raffila Millgrove: among other htings.
    stevenaia Michinaga: the rotating ribbon
    Pema Pera: oh?
    Pema Pera: wow
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Raffila Millgrove: and can match up key words...
    Pema Pera: wow!!
Raffila Millgrove: i ask boxy.. to . make comand to tell us.. did the group discuss this same thing before?
stevenaia Michinaga: (it stops and glows bright when the bell rings
    Raffila Millgrove: we get matches.
    Pema Pera: wow
    Pema Pera: very impressive!
    Pema Pera: deja vu . . .
Raffila Millgrove: also he gets us that..w eather.
Pema Pera: to hear these old conversations
    Raffila Millgrove: yes.
Raffila Millgrove: it's cool to use it.
Raffila Millgrove: people who are gone--this way.. they appear to us again. breaks time.
    stevenaia Michinaga: it reached back
Raffila Millgrove: it's a way to break time.. and make people come back to us.. and so much.. more
Raffila Millgrove: i think.. it's Genius.! and fun/play to explore with it.
Storm Nordwind: And it grumps at you if you speak during the 90 second breaks ;)
    Pema Pera: WOW!
    Pema Pera: That's great ! ! ! genius
Pema Pera: how can Boxy solve so many problems with one solution?
    Pema Pera: I'm impressed.
oO0Oo Resident: May not do that now.. but gives a visual queue
Pema Pera is very tempted now to talk during the break
Raffila Millgrove: he's amazing creative soul. boxy. so humble too.
Storm Nordwind: He had a permanent box here before with floating text, and I asked him to change it to on-demand instead... which he did, and then some.
oO0Oo Resident: A very creative thing Boxy has made, among many such things over time.
Aphrodite Macbain: His ears must be burning
Aphrodite Macbain: Speaking of creativity - what wondrous things at the dome!
    Aphrodite Macbain: oops
    Pema Pera: YES!
Pema Pera: Thank you, Storm (and Bleu)!
Pema Pera: we'll make many ears burn!
Storm Nordwind: These are the exhibits so far!
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    oO0Oo Resident: wonderful!
Aphrodite Macbain: oof I was getting dizzy
stevenaia Michinaga: speaking of which, Storm, I have a typo on my card and can't figure out how to replace it
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps it was meant to be :)
Aphrodite Macbain: That's a useful chart Storm
Storm Nordwind: Oh yes, I can see Steve. I'll fix it for you if you like
    stevenaia Michinaga: thank you
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: Every work is so different from the others
    Pema Pera: yes!
Storm Nordwind: Done Steve. You had two notecards in there
Aphrodite Macbain: Who is that person (along with the cat) in your work Stevenaia?
    Aphrodite Macbain: oops again
Pema Pera trying to talk during the break, to check what Boxy's read ribbon will tell me . . . .
    Pema Pera: nothing???
    Pema Pera: I thought it would reprimand me . . . .
    Pema Pera: *red ribbon
    Pema Pera: (me bad)
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
    Aphrodite Macbain whispers, me too
Storm Nordwind: Maybe he took that out as people found it annoying?
    Pema Pera: shame!
Pema Pera: it should be there!
    Aphrodite Macbain: lol
    Pema Pera: :-)
    stevenaia Michinaga: self reprimand
stevenaia Michinaga: she is my neice (family)
stevenaia Michinaga: cat is my friend
Pema Pera: I've always wanted to do that, talk without self-restraint during the break!
Aphrodite Macbain: :-) ah thanks. Nice faces, both
    Raffila Millgrove: hehe
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: Pema! :-)
Aphrodite Macbain: What has happened that has changed you?

Aphrodite Macbain: Any suggestions for the 4th anniversary?
    Pema Pera: ah, yes, soon(ish) . . . .
Aphrodite Macbain: Storm, you were going to relandscape
    Storm Nordwind: Chocolates for everyone?
Aphrodite Macbain: excellent idea- and non fattening
    stevenaia Michinaga: SL Chocolate?
Storm Nordwind: I suggested that that was a possibility, but no one has done anything with that possibility, and I've really become too busy now to do it.
    Storm Nordwind: (to Aph)
Aphrodite Macbain: Oh too bad. I thought you were going to do it yourself
oO0Oo Resident: Maybe a simple gathering... where people can make spontaneous offerings if they wish ..
Pema Pera tries to visualize landscaping with chocolate . . . .
Aphrodite Macbain: We are meeting tomorrow to discuss ideas - I sent you an email Storm
Aphrodite Macbain: You are welcome to come
Storm Nordwind: Well I said how about it, I think Aph, and I don't recall hearing anything back :)
Storm Nordwind: Thank you. But i can't accept any more actions now, so if I attend it will be consultative only
Aphrodite Macbain: this is the response... we are interested but assumed it was going to be your contribution I guess
Aphrodite Macbain: Consultative is just fine. You do so much already
    Pema Pera: hear hear!
Aphrodite Macbain: 2-3pm tomorrow in the Coonference Room
    Storm Nordwind: Thank you :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: No, thank YOU!
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
Aphrodite Macbain: What are you working on Storm?
Storm Nordwind: By the way, there are two folding noticeboards, one at each entrance to the Art Dome, with this floorplan on it. You can touch the board and get a copy. I try and keep it up to date.
Storm Nordwind: I have a lot of writing to do Aph. :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: Thanks!
Aphrodite Macbain: nods. When will the book launch be hapening?
    Aphrodite Macbain: happening
Storm Nordwind: Maybe in the Fall :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: book?
Storm Nordwind: I should really say. In the Fall
    Aphrodite Macbain: smiles
Aphrodite Macbain: will it be a novel, or a history or a documentary?
Storm Nordwind: Top Secret Steve - I could tell you about it but then I'd have to eject you ;-))
Storm Nordwind does a poor imitation of Top Gun
    Aphrodite Macbain buttons her lip
stevenaia Michinaga: smiles, then I will just have to wait for the release party
Aphrodite Macbain: I'll bring the champagne
Pema Pera thinks about visiting Los Alamos . . .
Storm Nordwind: But I can answer you last question Aph. The answer is "No". ;-D
Aphrodite Macbain: hmmm none of the above...
Aphrodite Macbain: I will have to practice being patient
    Aphrodite Macbain: lol
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
    Aphrodite Macbain: cool and clear
stevenaia Michinaga: cold for New Mexico, Pema, perhaps you should wait till spring
Pema Pera: where the running joke among the physicists working on nuclear weapons was "if I tell you oI have to kill you" :-)
    Storm Nordwind: hehe!
    Aphrodite Macbain: lol
Aphrodite Macbain: what a way to go
Pema Pera: I've never in my life received so many death threats as when giving a talk on astrophysics in Los Alamos !
    Aphrodite Macbain: !!
Aphrodite Macbain: why- just because you could tell the story?
oO0Oo Resident threatens Pema with life
    Storm Nordwind: Hmm. wrong Miramar
Aphrodite Macbain: Look at the sea
Pema Pera: just for listening to them . . .
    Pema Pera: and understanding :-)
Aphrodite Macbain: who were you talking to for heaven's sake?
Aphrodite Macbain: memebrs of a sports bar?
    Aphrodite Macbain: *members
Pema Pera: some nuclear astrophysicists :-)
Storm Nordwind: Pema could tell you Aph, but then he'd have to...
Pema Pera: one of whom was proud to have designed his own nuclear underground explosion
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-P
    Aphrodite Macbain: noooo
Pema Pera: yes, Aph, you'd better be warned
Aphrodite Macbain: buttons her lip again
Storm Nordwind wonders what people who read this wiki will think... ;)
Aphrodite Macbain wonders who will read the wiki
stevenaia Michinaga: well, there is a comments section
Aphrodite Macbain: nice to stump the red ribbon
Storm Nordwind: Anyone who does a Google search for Los Alamos and nuclear, Aph
    Aphrodite Macbain: pronounced nucular
Pema Pera: I don't thnk anyone, oops, door bell, no, no sir, no I don't know about nuclear, what? right now? oops, gotto go!
    Aphrodite Macbain: ha ha
Storm Nordwind: Ah yes... this month is nucular Febuary [cringe]
Aphrodite Macbain: I've never seen Pema in this mood
Pema Pera: Monday night fever :-)
Aphrodite Macbain: it is? @ Storm
Storm Nordwind: I wish I had $20 for every person I've heard say Febuary instead of February this month.
Aphrodite Macbain: oh right- that too
Pema Pera: languages, like rocks, erode . . .
Aphrodite Macbain: more quickly than rocks
    Aphrodite Macbain: more quicker
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
    Storm Nordwind winces
    Pema Pera: most quickliest
stevenaia Michinaga: February was named after the Latin term februum, which means purification
oO0Oo Resident: me wonders what the rocks might tell us.. if we listened in the right way
Aphrodite Macbain: not a god at all!
Storm Nordwind: Yes. The mediterreans had some interesting rituals around that time
Aphrodite Macbain wonders about the right way to listen to rocks
    Storm Nordwind: *Mediterraneans
Aphrodite Macbain: what kind of rituals?
    Aphrodite Macbain: agrarian?
Storm Nordwind discreetly advises Aph to look it up in a reliable source. Just don't go too near bunches of twigs, that's all ;)
Pema Pera getting really curious now . . .
Aphrodite Macbain: Did they throw aphrodite back into the sea?
Storm Nordwind: Don't give us ideas! ;-D
Aphrodite Macbain: Sounds like aphrodite burning
    Pema Pera: . . . . shells and rocks and . . . .
Pema Pera: but . . . time for me to go
    Aphrodite Macbain: ouch
    Pema Pera: thank you, everybody!
    Aphrodite Macbain: Bye
    Aphrodite Macbain: Bye! Pema
Storm Nordwind: Bye for now Pema
    stevenaia Michinaga: Bye pema
    Aphrodite Macbain: Poof
Aphrodite Macbain: in a cloud of smoke
stevenaia Michinaga: are you reinacting the ritual, Aphrodite?
