*Wol Euler was guardian for this session. Unfortunately the Hat doesn't show up in the autologging dtabase, and I don't have access to my chatlogs on this computer. I will return to this to add in the Hat's lines.*

Wol Euler: hello mick

Mickorod Renard: hiya

Wol Euler: how's life?

Mickorod Renard: ok thanks,,a bit of flu

Mickorod Renard: so feeling a bit grot

Wol Euler: awww

Wol Euler: there's a lot of that going around at the moment

Wol Euler: here too

Mickorod Renard: yes?..hopefully it will pass

Mickorod Renard: I was gonna get the flu jab (innoculation) last weekend

Wol Euler: I usually do, haven't done this year and now probably won't.

Mickorod Renard: how are you?

Wol Euler knocks on wood. "Fine, thanks"

Mickorod Renard: great!

Mickorod Renard: have you seen Alf lately?

Wol Euler: only once since the debate

Wol Euler: he came to a session, didn't say much

Mickorod Renard: mmmm I hope he doesnt disapear

Wol Euler nods.

Mickorod Renard: I have to come clean with you, I was on one of those big ship thingies the other week,,like what you disaprove of

Wol Euler chuckles.

Mickorod Renard: he he

Wol Euler: why?

Mickorod Renard: why was I on one?

Wol Euler: mmhmm

Wol Euler: force majeur I could excuse :)

Mickorod Renard: I needed a break for a week

Wol Euler smiles.

Wol Euler: do tell

Mickorod Renard: one thing for sure,,you dont have to go hunting for restaraunts when u r on one

Mickorod Renard: or making beds and so forth

Wol Euler grins.

Mickorod Renard: so it was a nice break

Wol Euler: did you have a window?

Mickorod Renard: yes

Wol Euler: because I gather that many cabins do not

Wol Euler: at least on some ships

Mickorod Renard: but it was just a transatlantic crossing,,so not much to see

Wol Euler: oh wow

Wol Euler: okay, tell me more :)

Mickorod Renard: yes?

Wol Euler: you sailed across the atlantic and then flew back?

Mickorod Renard: ok,,well,,i searched for a nice break and couldnt find one,,the prices were hyped up because of school holidays

Mickorod Renard: and then I spotted this cruise

Mickorod Renard: it was fly to new york,,get there in the storm

Mickorod Renard: and then sail out el pronto

Mickorod Renard: it was force 11 but it was a good ship

Wol Euler: o.O

Mickorod Renard: and I spent much of my time dancing with wife,,so that was nice

Wol Euler smiles.

Mickorod Renard: Hi San

Wol Euler: hello san

Santoshima Resident: hi Mick and WOl

Mickorod Renard: it was slightly diferent to the huge flat bottomed ships that do the cruises as this was a propper transatlantic ship,,with a great hull

--BELL--

Wol Euler nods.

Wol Euler: even so, I think I'd be terminally seasick all the time

Wol Euler: hello lukey

Mickorod Renard: one thing that struck me was sailing for 6 or 7 days without seeing land and that during the ww2 the convoy ships must have taken much longer,,how they coped with the threat of being sunk defies me

Wol Euler nods.

Mickorod Renard: hi Lkey

Santoshima Resident: greetings lukey

Wol Euler: well, the explorers would set off knowing they'd be away from home for three to five years

Mickorod Renard: yes, amazing wasnt it,,like for cook or adams etc,,magellan

Wol Euler: even up to the time of Darwin, 150 years ago. I think he signed up for 18 months away

Wol Euler: "like a prison sentence, with the added risk of drowning", as Dr. Johnson said

Mickorod Renard: he he , yea

Lukey Woodget: hi

Lukey Woodget: yey

Lukey Woodget: you will just give the answer away

Mickorod Renard: ok

Lukey Woodget: the answer is many

Lukey Woodget: you have to get the corect one

Mickorod Renard: lets try it

Lukey Woodget: im chat

Mickorod Renard: ok

Lukey Woodget: remember

Lukey Woodget: dont answer untill the 20 seconds are up

Mickorod Renard: ok

Lukey Woodget: it will say

Mickorod Renard: thanks Luky

Korel Laloix: I'm rich... smiles

Korel Laloix: wado

Wol Euler: word of advice, if I may: 20 seconds is too long, people might cheat by googling in that time

Wol Euler: not taht any of us would do that *cough*

Wol Euler: but other people might.

Mickorod Renard: erherm

Lukey Woodget: thats why i do the questions that have many answers

Wol Euler: perhaps make it 5 seconds? long enough to read, but not long enough to google

Wol Euler: oh, I see

Mickorod Renard: good fun

Lukey Woodget: it is hard in the modern age to do quiz

Lukey Woodget: with google

Lukey Woodget: it becomes the fastest googler

Mickorod Renard: yes, and if u have a fast pc too,,and connection

Wol Euler nods.

Lukey Woodget: picture questions can overcome this

Wol Euler: or you do without the pause, and just accept that slow readers are going to be at a disadvantage

Lukey Woodget: i have thought about all angles

Mickorod Renard: yes, a compromise

Lukey Woodget: people who are slow at google

Lukey Woodget: are disadvantaged

Korel Laloix: google sucks anyway.

Korel Laloix: far better opttions out there.

Lukey Woodget: but the many answers quiz works quite well

Wol Euler nods.

Mickorod Renard: yes

Lukey Woodget: i find google kind of points you to a serfing cind of thing

Lukey Woodget: like it takes you of corce

Korel Laloix: For me Dogpile works best.

Korel Laloix: It cuts through a lot of the paid searches.

Mickorod Renard: never heard of that Korel

Lukey Woodget: how many times have you been on youtube and ended watching something you never wanted to watch

Mickorod Renard: lots

Korel Laloix: dogpile.com

Korel Laloix: it is a meta search engine.

Mickorod Renard: I will try that Korel, thanks

Wol Euler: oh but that is what youtube is for :)

Wol Euler: it's a distraction engine

Wol Euler grins.

Mickorod Renard: thats an interesting point Wol

Korel Laloix: Cut cat vids are the worst

Lukey Woodget: its better than tv though

Mickorod Renard: what is it distracting everyome from and who wants us distracted?

Korel Laloix: But then again, one of m brothers finds the fishing vids addictive.

Wol Euler: I use it as a jukebox when I'm at work

Wol Euler: listen to recorded live performances

Lukey Woodget: oh yes wol i love the music vids

Lukey Woodget: and the artest interviews

Wol Euler nods.

Lukey Woodget: i was watching marilin manson just before i came here

Mickorod Renard: he is a wierd dude

Wol Euler grins.

Mickorod Renard: is he still alive?

Lukey Woodget: when you lison to him he makes quite good sence realy

Lukey Woodget: i think he is more of a artest than anything

--BELL--

Lukey Woodget: oh i got a great idea for a cheep xmass present

Lukey Woodget: that is quite good

Mickorod Renard: am all ears

Lukey Woodget: http://www.thesweetestoccasion.com/2...ie-dinnerware/

Lukey Woodget: this look its great for the kids do do to

Mickorod Renard: not sure i can open it,,might crash

Wol Euler: oh, that is good

arabella Ella: can you describe what it is as i cannot open another window either

Wol Euler: an idea ;)

arabella Ella: and actually i could not google the questions either :)

Wol Euler: make presents by decorating plain chinawear with a sharpie pen

Wol Euler: which you can then make permanent by baking the cups or plates in the oven

Mickorod Renard: thats a good idea

arabella Ella: ehrm what is a sharpie pen?

Lukey Woodget: I have made some it works realy well

Wol Euler: brandname, a fine-pointed marker pen

arabella Ella: oh

arabella Ella: cool

arabella Ella: so if you write on chinaware and bake it in oven it marks permanently?

Lukey Woodget: yes but it has to be a sharpie

arabella Ella: that particular brand?

arabella Ella: (never heard of it!)

Lukey Woodget: they are sold in most shops

Lukey Woodget: stationary

Lukey Woodget: around the world

arabella Ella: small market here you dont get everything

Lukey Woodget: ebay has them for a cheep cost

Lukey Woodget: fun for the kids to do you know

arabella Ella: mmmm

arabella Ella: i dont wish to sound argumentative but sometimes on e bay the postage is 2 or three times the cost of the item

arabella Ella: never mind

arabella Ella: i could try it with other permanent markets see if it works

arabella Ella: markers

Lukey Woodget: it might work

arabella Ella: yes

Lukey Woodget: its well worth a try

Wol Euler nods.

arabella Ella smiles

Lukey Woodget: all you have to do is a small test on a mug

arabella Ella: yes

Mickorod Renard: I may try it for fun,,and also maybe a school project

arabella Ella: or on some extra saucers that accumpulate when cups break

arabella Ella: accumulate

Lukey Woodget: you have to bake it in the oven for 30 mins

arabella Ella: ok

Lukey Woodget: but be cairfull

arabella Ella: nice cos you can personalise stuff

Mickorod Renard: yes?

Lukey Woodget: ceramics are hot

arabella Ella: be careful?

arabella Ella: use oven gloves?

Lukey Woodget: wait for it to cool a bit

arabella Ella nods

Mickorod Renard: ok folks,,i have to go home

arabella Ella: i got to go now good night all!

Wol Euler: bye mick, bye ara

arabella Ella: nice to see you sleep tight sweet dreams!

Lukey Woodget: be well

Korel Laloix: Ciao
