    Storm Nordwind: Good morning!
                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: ah we meet again, friend
    Storm Nordwind: We do :)
Riddle Sideways: today seemed to have many to-do on log in
    Storm Nordwind: Oh?
Riddle Sideways: well, more then normal
Riddle Sideways: finish whatever was going on when crashed out yesterday
Riddle Sideways: catch and release a rabbit back onto the plot
    Riddle Sideways: stop plot music
    Riddle Sideways: start piano playing
    Riddle Sideways: change shirt color
Storm Nordwind: Ah yes... the mysterious messages ;)
    Riddle Sideways: pick a cushion

Storm Nordwind: I walked over here today and I thought, "I have nothing to say." But I often think that and I end up saying it anyway!
Riddle Sideways: oh dear, was thinking that same while making the coffee
Riddle Sideways: looks in pockets and finds no topic

Storm Nordwind: You should stock up on Kaladi coffee while you're in Colorado.
Riddle Sideways: did not read anything interesting yet today
Riddle Sideways: oh, the good stuff?
Storm Nordwind: Air roasted, fair trade. We get the peruvian from them. Best I've ever had anywhere
Riddle Sideways: ok, noted that down
Storm Nordwind: Their roasterie is in Denver, but they also sell in Boulder. Spruce Confections has some.
Riddle Sideways: think the second/third suitcase is now Not coming with to take the present
    Storm Nordwind nods
Riddle Sideways: search says there is a Kaladi brothers roasters in Anchorage too
Storm Nordwind: Oh really!?!? I had no idea
Riddle Sideways: prolly not the same
Riddle Sideways: that one is 'Brothers'
Storm Nordwind: I could ask them next time I call in.
    Riddle Sideways: might make points
    Riddle Sideways: or not
Riddle Sideways: Son is a tea snob
Riddle Sideways: but gets us some coffee
Storm Nordwind: Well I used to be too
Storm Nordwind: But since Americans have no clue how to make good tea, I have relented ;)
Riddle Sideways: seem to need a physical and mental and schedule examination before the tea selection is made
Storm Nordwind: Did you not know that??!
    Riddle Sideways: hahahaha
    Riddle Sideways: obliously not

Storm Nordwind: I may or may not have told you... Last November I hooked up with an old school friend. Not been in contact for nearly 50 years. He's now emigrated to Canada. Been there 35 years.
Storm Nordwind: He's currently on vacation in Jamaica has recently discovered Noam Chomsky - keeps sending me youtube videos all the time. :)
Storm Nordwind: In return I sent him a book reference to read - Elastic: Flexible Thinking in a Time of Change by Leonard Mlodinow - while he drinks rum punch on the beach.
                   --BELL--
Storm Nordwind: (There - that's my news for the morning) ;)
    Riddle Sideways: wow, core dump
    Storm Nordwind: pre crash
    Riddle Sideways: ha

Riddle Sideways: Facebook caught many long lost friends
Storm Nordwind: Right. It's good for that.
Riddle Sideways: and know a bunch more about them before the 50th reunion this summer
Riddle Sideways: some keep posting cat photos
Riddle Sideways: others are going to baseball games
    Storm Nordwind: Cat photos...
Riddle Sideways: what some people do with their retired life in the house
Storm Nordwind: Ha! Yes. Though I like cats. I miss my skogkatts.
    Riddle Sideways: great name

Riddle Sideways: several posted (couple days ago) about how dogs go get the sticks
Riddle Sideways: and cat just look at the hand
Riddle Sideways: house cats and lions do that
Storm Nordwind: Right. Alma mentioned that
Riddle Sideways: one can say "over there, go get it" over and over
Riddle Sideways: and they look at the hand

Storm Nordwind: You can take a positive or negative spin on that, whichever you want. For example, finger pointing at the moon...
Riddle Sideways: theme of a kid's book years ago
Riddle Sideways: can't remember enough of "Get me the Moon" to re-tell well enough
Storm Nordwind: Ah... you need further practice before you're an old man in your dotage :)
Riddle Sideways: the moon is only about the size of a thumb on an outstrected hand
Riddle Sideways: yes, resisting dotage lessons
Riddle Sideways: in this case, can go to large book shelves of children books and get the ref
    Riddle Sideways: instead of memorizing
Storm Nordwind: I'd practice shouting "Get off my lawn" - except that I don't have a lawn.
Storm Nordwind: Though that would be suitably eccentric
    Riddle Sideways: neither do we
Riddle Sideways: Mick singing "Hey You, get offa my lawn"
    Storm Nordwind: hahahahaha!!
                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: back at all the news: am starting the Madeleine Albright's newest book, "Fascism: A Warning"
    Riddle Sideways: on audible
Storm Nordwind: She was Secretary of State, IIRC?
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: and thinks the State dept. is still needed

Riddle Sideways: also back in early chat; need an AI assistant to really really get the viewer chat typing into the correct IM tab
    Storm Nordwind: hehe!
Storm Nordwind: The trick is to detach the IM window
    Storm Nordwind: Special recognition helps
    Riddle Sideways: OH!
    Storm Nordwind: *Spacial
Riddle Sideways: that would be a problem
Riddle Sideways: ok, will get back to that later

Riddle Sideways: now imaging 2 dotage-ers sitting on the park bench not talking but on their cell phones
Storm Nordwind does not have a smart phone
    Riddle Sideways: good
    Storm Nordwind: No need
Riddle Sideways: have had one for years and years
Riddle Sideways: and the novelty has worn off
Storm Nordwind: If I was 20 or more years younger and single, then maybe
Riddle Sideways: hate to admit, but it was useful 3-4 times in conversation with friends Saturday night
    Riddle Sideways: fact checking
    Storm Nordwind nods
Storm Nordwind: First you have to have RL friends! ;)
    Riddle Sideways: oh yeah, that
Riddle Sideways: well partner has RL friends and brings them over
Storm Nordwind: We are happy to keep ourselves to ourselves, and the only two we have are moving out of state. <shrugs>
Riddle Sideways: saw 2 'lost touch of' friends at different days this week
Riddle Sideways: one's wife was headed to India and forgot to take passport
    Storm Nordwind: ouch
Riddle Sideways: got a quick drive half way to S.F.O.
                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: and a promise we would go check the new brewer in town while she is gone
Storm Nordwind: Can't keep track of the new brewers here. So many. Which is good.
Riddle Sideways: and yesterday finally went to good friend the chiropractor for this back thang
    Storm Nordwind: Doing well?
Riddle Sideways: seems this body has not been hurt enough in a few years
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Riddle Sideways: he was the sunsei that would give hurt on Monday and fix on Tuesday for some years
Riddle Sideways: thanks, but back is doing well, just tooooo much exercise then sit to long (then repeat)
Storm Nordwind: I find walking is good for that
Riddle Sideways: ya ya ya ya know that
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Storm Nordwind: At least that's what I'm told ;)
Riddle Sideways: sit in the office looking out at the number of walkers
Riddle Sideways: half the dog walkers are being pulled along and the others are dragging a dog
    Storm Nordwind: What fun :/
Riddle Sideways: these are the daily logs of activities here
Riddle Sideways: the need to observe all this</shrugs>

    <shrugs>
Storm Nordwind: And now I have the sounds of AT-STs firing...
    Riddle Sideways: ?
Storm Nordwind: It's a Star Wars thing. They and AT-ATs were called "walkers".
    Riddle Sideways: star wars thinkgies
    Riddle Sideways: ah
    Storm Nordwind: indeed
Riddle Sideways: wow, an AT-AT is 22.5m tall
Riddle Sideways: thought it was a little 5inch model
Storm Nordwind: That could drag a dog or two
Riddle Sideways: back, was checking that the SL MP has those
                   --BELL--
Storm Nordwind: Wouldn't fit in the pavilion
    Riddle Sideways: impulse searching
    Storm Nordwind chuckles</shrugs>

    <shrugs>
Riddle Sideways: like your laugh sounds this morning
Storm Nordwind: I had to search for them!
    Riddle Sideways: gestures?
Storm Nordwind: So many things as yet unrediscovered on this viewer
    Storm Nordwind: Yes
Storm Nordwind: I used to know all the shortcuts. Only the camera control was a reflex. The rest I had to mine for.
Riddle Sideways: yes, have been re-re-rereading careful complete notes taken last year
    Riddle Sideways: and don't understand
    Storm Nordwind: ha!
Storm Nordwind: At least you could read them. Mine I usually need a magnifying glass for. They are written in the dark while in bed...</shrugs>

    <shrugs>
Riddle Sideways: now using a voice recorder for those
Storm Nordwind: I would wake my wife up
Riddle Sideways: yes, but she said it was ok
Riddle Sideways: stop off in closet on way back from bathroom
Riddle Sideways: and say 2 words "Van aquarium"
Riddle Sideways: and puzzle that out in the morning
Riddle Sideways: that was a strange dream
Riddle Sideways: working ever so hard to make the back of the van into an aquarium
Riddle Sideways: finally quit at step 123 because it was Never going to work
Storm Nordwind: I imagined then swimming - a whole shoal of vans in a large aquarium
Riddle Sideways: ah, that would be easier
Storm Nordwind: With Van Morrison and Van de Graaff Generator playing in the background
Riddle Sideways: it did have carefully designed curved edges to direct the waves created on high speed corners back into the tank
Riddle Sideways: later, somebody in the dream walked by and asked why we did not just cover it completely
Riddle Sideways: sent them on their way
Riddle Sideways: sorry, these are dreams not reported
Storm Nordwind: "If I want 12 tons of water in the back of my van, it's my business!"
    Riddle Sideways: yes, darm It!
Storm Nordwind: "And while you're at it, get off my lawn!"
    Riddle Sideways: giggles in dotage
                   --BELL--
Storm Nordwind: And with that, I will bid you good morning!
    Riddle Sideways: matching that bid
Storm Nordwind: See you again soon. :) Thank you so much for hosting!
Riddle Sideways: thanks for sitting here
    Riddle Sideways: see you soon</shrugs>
