Adams, Riddle, Eden and Eliza. A newcomer,  MysteryStar,  joined us a bit later.

    After the holidays

Riddle Sideways: Hey Eliza, you are skating on the water
    Eliza Madrigal: Riddle!
Riddle Sideways: does not look frozen ㋡
    Eliza Madrigal: :) parallel world
    Riddle Sideways: ah yes, that
Eliza Madrigal: I skated on your pond last week, was great!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Eden :)
    Riddle Sideways: thanks, somebody should
Eden Haiku: Good morning Eliza and Riddle :))
Riddle Sideways: Howdee Eden, long time no chat
Eden Haiku: Yes, a lovely ice rink Riddle, I enjoyed it too :)
Eliza Madrigal: How's your computer, Riddle?
Eden Haiku: How have you been Riddle?
Riddle Sideways: so far so good
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: The Listener Master is silencing us :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Bossy listening
Riddle Sideways: have had many bosses like that
    Eden Haiku: smiles
    Riddle Sideways: nice outfit Adams
Eden Haiku: Oh, Adams as a pilgrim?
    Eliza Madrigal: Morning Adams :)
Eden Haiku: Good morning Adams :)
Adams Rubble: Good morning everyone :)
Adams Rubble: lots of lag today for me
Riddle Sideways: it is good, it is still raining
Eden Haiku: Here it's cold and sunny.
Riddle Sideways: the coast got 5" and road closed for a few hours only
Riddle Sideways: hope your holidays were relaxing
Eden Haiku: Oh, that much rain..
    Eliza Madrigal: thanks, you too!
Riddle Sideways: does not soak in like sandy Florida
Eliza Madrigal: sadly... would be even more amazing out there if you guys didn't have to worry about the droughts
Eliza Madrigal: we have them too, just not often
Eden Haiku: My holidays was mostly preparations for the family reunion and then the highlight of having the 9 little ones invading my home :)
Riddle Sideways: Yes Eden, need to hear all about that fun
Eliza Madrigal: you have enough for your own school now Eden :)
    Eliza Madrigal: precious
    Eden Haiku: Yep!
Riddle Sideways: preparations, must mean putting all breakables away
Eden Haiku: My older niece organised a bilingual treasure hunt throughout the appartment and it was amazing seeing the walking ones (7 of them!) running from one room to the other, even though they didn't quite understand the game :)
Eliza Madrigal: ha ha, they understood what they needed to to play
Eden Haiku: Yes Riddle, the porcelain elephant on a high shelf and the pot hidden in a higher one even :)

Eden Haiku: Some of the children I see only once a year, yet they remember the porcelain elephant contains wrapped Christmas candies :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, so they break it open to get the candies

Everyone needs a magical elephant in their lives

Eden Haiku: So the book club is resuming this week I think?
Eliza Madrigal:every one needs a magical elephant in their lives
Riddle Sideways: really meant to get to the book meeting last week
    Riddle Sideways: know at 11:30
    Riddle Sideways: then time went
Eliza Madrigal: it happens, Riddle :)
Eliza Madrigal: We officially start on Thursday, yes, with Harari
Riddle Sideways: is great sessions are logged
Eden Haiku: I will read the logs...
Riddle Sideways: have actually bought and read intro-1 st chapter
Eliza Madrigal: Aph and Bruce will organize it this time, because we don't want to do all 21 chapters
Eliza Madrigal: so it will be just through Feb.
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah, great
Riddle Sideways: not sure if Adams would love or hate the book
Eliza Madrigal: Sounds like there are several angles that will be prickly or debatable
    Adams Rubble: neither is Adams
Eliza Madrigal: What makes you say that though, Riddle? :)
Eden Haiku: Read the resume of chapters Bruce linked us to and decided not to read the book :)

Eliza Madrigal: in general, I'm a big Harari fan, but not quite sure about this book, so we'll see
Eliza Madrigal: Last year I learned I'm allowed to have 0 idols
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Riddle Sideways: wow
    Riddle Sideways: strict diet
Eliza Madrigal: or well, to hold them 'lightly' :)
    Riddle Sideways: allways liked Orwell
Eden Haiku: I'm reading "Collapsing Consciously'" by Carolyn Baker. There are weekly exercices to do, as an antidote to becoming depressed at the upcoming collapse.
Eden Haiku: This week is being aware of the "presence". Very nice so far :)
    Riddle Sideways: APoCC
Eliza Madrigal: Sounds like a very good way to start the New Year
Riddle Sideways: Appreciating the Presence of the Coming Collapse?
Eden Haiku: As well as having zero idols Eliza :)
Riddle Sideways: just to PaB twist letters
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: laughs at Riddle quick wit!
Eliza Madrigal: I think that balance or stance seems the 'right' one though... awake, but present
Eliza Madrigal: or maybe 'alert' is better in this context, and present has a necessity for compassion
    Eliza Madrigal: time of contradictions
Eliza Madrigal: Is the book focused on environmental factors, or more the personal experience, Eden?

    A Mystery Star

    Jan 7_003.jpg

MysteryStar, Adams, Riddle, Eden and Eliza

mysterystar Resident: 's current display-name is "mysterystar".
Riddle Sideways: book is all over the map
    Riddle Sideways: 21 big areas
Eden Haiku: More on the personal experience of impending disaster Eliza.
    Riddle Sideways: welcome MysteryStar
    Adams Rubble: Hello Mysterystar
    mysterystar Resident: thanks riddle
    Riddle Sideways: whoops, wrong book
Eden Haiku: Welcome Mystery Star :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Mysterystar, what a nice name
    mysterystar Resident: thanks eden eliza
Eden Haiku: Have you been here before?
mysterystar Resident: i think so a long time ago
Eden Haiku: Let me give you a notecard about our group.
    mysterystar Resident: thanks
Eliza Madrigal: New Years resolution to return to PlayasBeing?
    mysterystar Resident: yeah
Riddle Sideways: noted you reading all the poster boards the other day
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: but, you left before could chat

Eden Haiku: Not sure if the notecard I have given you is the last version...We don't have sessions every 6 hours anymore but they are posted in front of the pavilion.
    mysterystar Resident: ok
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks, Riddle, for the overview of the Harari. I have it on audio, so it isn't as easy to quick-peruse
Eden Haiku: Our group is about discussing the nature of reality.
    mysterystar Resident: nice
Eden Haiku: It takes all kinds of form :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: quick search of wiki shows you here in 2013 ㋡
    mysterystar Resident: wild
Eden Haiku: We record our sessions and logs are posted on a wiki.Do you give us permission to record what you say? If not, I can edit you out.
    mysterystar Resident: sure
Eden Haiku: Thank you MysteryStar :)
mysterystar Resident: now i feel so old
    Eliza Madrigal: hah
Riddle Sideways: ha, not as old as some
Riddle Sideways: wish age brought wisdome tho
mysterystar Resident: haha thanks a lot
Eden Haiku: Was wondering from what century are you travelling from today dear Adams?
    Eliza Madrigal: collapse of wisdom
Adams Rubble: 1830s or so Eden
    Adams Rubble: Brontes

    Jan 7_002.jpg

Adams from the 1830s, Riddle, Eden and Eliza

Eden Haiku: Ah, thanks. The outfit is beautiful. 1830 was the high point of romantic poets. Are you one?
Riddle Sideways: Brontes have had a lasting impression
Adams Rubble: I doubt it Eden
    Eden Haiku: Ah! The Brontes!
    Eden Haiku: Rereading Wuthering Heights?
    Adams Rubble: takes courage :)
    Eden Haiku: smiles
Eliza Madrigal: I feel vaguely as though I'm not supposed to love that tale as much as I do, not the healthiest relationship :)
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: Adams, your blog seems the Luther course you are in takes more courage

    Adams Rubble:maybe more blind fumbling
Eden Haiku: loves the notion of blind fumbling :)
Eden Haiku: Have you watched " Bird Box" anyone?
    Adams Rubble scratches head
Eliza Madrigal: Not yet, I feel like I have, with so many on Twitter talking about it Riddle Sideways: no, saw it is all the rage
Eden Haiku: A Netflix generic film Adams.
Riddle Sideways: record numbers of watchers
Adams Rubble doesn’t do Twitter so in the dark
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Is it a 'must see', Eden?
Eden Haiku: You have us Adams, to keep you update of silly trends .
    Adams Rubble: hehe
Riddle Sideways: does not seem like a must see
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh... hah...
    Eliza Madrigal: took a minute
    Eliza Madrigal: ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal drinks more coffee
Eden Haiku: Nope Eliza, but it's frightening enough to enjoy it. I don't like horror movies. It's not. More like the "Blair Witch" movie...
Eliza Madrigal: Oooh, I'll watch it
Eden Haiku: I have bad influence on you :(
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Eliza Madrigal: you have many influences on me
Eden Haiku: But less experimental than "Blair Witch Experience", Julia Roberts.
Eliza Madrigal: but I like horror more now... not slasher type films, but I mean, Get Out is a masterpiece
Eden Haiku: Some good ones too I hope :))
    Eliza Madrigal: overwhelmingly good ones

Eden Haiku: Adding "Get out" to my to watch list. I remember you talked about this movie a while ago, then I forgot.
Eden Haiku: Fumbling blind is a sensation we all go through I guess :)
    Adams Rubble: start of explorations
    Eden Haiku: Blind fumbling rather.
Eliza Madrigal: we're probably mostly fumbling blind
Adams Rubble: unless one is scientific and has a hypothesis
    Eden Haiku: Ah!
Eden Haiku: Tell us more Adams?
    Eliza Madrigal listens!
    Adams Rubble: oh my
Adams Rubble: I was just being snarky
Eden Haiku: What is your own hypothesis? About Luther?
Eliza Madrigal: Reminded of the night walk on retreat, and how one could only see flashes of white disappearing in the distance
    Eden Haiku: Beautiful Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: it rarely gets very dark here, so that had a big impact on me
Eden Haiku: Was it the retreat in Nova Scotia?
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Adams Rubble: hard to find dark outside anymore
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Eden Haiku: For Mystery Star: once in a while, there are RL meetings too. Nova Scotia retreat was one of them.
Eden Haiku: One of Play as Being members lives there and organized the retreat over thre
Adams Rubble remembering as a child walking in the pitch black darkness at the farm from the barn to the house and older cousins popping out of their hiding places to take years off a younger cousins life
Eden Haiku: May I ask where you are from MysteryStar?
    Adams Rubble: brb
    Eliza Madrigal: ha ha
    Eden Haiku: Oh my Adams!
Riddle Sideways: ha, aerobic exercises for the heart
Eliza Madrigal: Mystery seems to be away :)
Eliza Madrigal: I read that the Luther course is leading into Spinoza.. really interested in that. I don't think he was a stoic(?), but perhaps stoicism is compatible with 'presence and collapse'
Eden Haiku: A boyfriend once or twice took me into the woods in pitch black darkness. And he had me running! Frightening and exhilarating at the same time!
Eliza Madrigal: we've just started the dayand all want to go back into the dark ^.^
    Eden Haiku: smiles at Eliza
Riddle Sideways: just started the day in in-house darkness
Eden Haiku: There is healing in the darkness. Presence. Soothing.
Riddle Sideways: fumbling to find and go down the stairs
Eliza Madrigal: I like doing that... waiting as long as possible to turn on the lights in the morning
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Eden Haiku: Oh yes, you are waking in darkness still in California...
Eliza Madrigal: although it does bring bruises :)
Riddle Sideways: counting the 7 steps
Riddle Sideways: wondering at 6 and 7 if there is one more or done
    Eliza Madrigal: so vivid
    Riddle Sideways: the toes knows
Eden Haiku: In t "Bird Box" as she is blindfolded, Julia Roberts uses a wheel with a thread so she can find her way back. Like Aridane.
Eden Haiku: *Ariadne or Ariane. The one in the labyrinth.
Eliza Madrigal: that makes it even more intriguing
Eden Haiku: Don’ expect too much mythology in there though Eliza :)
    Eliza Madrigal: aw
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Did anyone watch the Golden Globes?
Eliza Madrigal: I loved a book last year, 'Circe'
    Eliza Madrigal: I didn't :( I didn't even know it was on
    Eden Haiku: "Circe", the magician?
Riddle Sideways: saw a moment while at the pizza pickup place
Eden Haiku: Missed most of it. Clicked the tv on and it was Cuaron being awarded for ROMA.
Adams Rubble: back, reading (you wrote loots while i was away)
Eliza Madrigal: yes, written wonderfully Eden
    Adams Rubble: lots
Eliza Madrigal: That's the one I really need to see!
Riddle Sideways: read the winners on web
    Eden Haiku: Circe, by whom?
    Riddle Sideways: ROMA got 2
    Eliza Madrigal: Madeline Miller
Eden Haiku: Thanks. Adding to the list :-)
Eliza Madrigal: I listened to it on audio, and it was read so well
    Eden Haiku: On Audible Eliza?
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Riddle Sideways: Amazon says it HAS to be bought right now
    Eden Haiku: Tks
    Eliza Madrigal: ha ha
Eliza Madrigal: Amazon is another bossy one
Eden Haiku: Still believe Amazon Riddle?
Eliza Madrigal: made me buy all kinds of spices last weekend
    Eden Haiku: smiles
    Riddle Sideways: ha

Living in the Amazon Brain Forest

Eden Haiku: we are so fragile in front of the clever algorithms...
    Eliza Madrigal: we are

Riddle Sideways: was searching of mathimatical formulas for spirals and Amazon wanted to sell one on top of list
Adams Rubble: We live in the Amazon Brain Forest
    Eden Haiku: giggles
    Eliza Madrigal: !
Eliza Madrigal: buying as fumbling to find the path - very matrixy
    Eden Haiku: Matrixy :)))
Eden Haiku: Your searches are quite noble Riddle :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: moral delema of buy local or get delivered
    Riddle Sideways: noble? thanks
Eliza Madrigal: it is time logistics... am really grappling honestly, try to move closer to 0 waste, but then things shift
Eden Haiku: Lately, I was exploring the deep web to find out is Michelle is really a transgender as the trolls seem to think. How silly of me :(
    Eliza Madrigal: :(
    Eden Haiku: I know...
Eliza Madrigal: that's the stuff one has to learn to clear fast, or it will take you down...
Eden Haiku: They instill doubts even if you know better
Eden Haiku: To clear fast yes...
Eliza Madrigal: I love Michelle :) I have a candle, like the catholic ritual candles, of her
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Eden Haiku: No idol you said?
    Adams Rubble: Michelle?
Eliza Madrigal: and one of Ruth Bader Ginsburg
    Eliza Madrigal: yes! Idols... laughing
    Riddle Sideways: giggles
Eliza Madrigal: to take lightly :)
Eliza Madrigal: in the 0 zone
Riddle Sideways: wha, take a candle lightly?
Eden Haiku: In the zero zone :))
Eliza Madrigal changes all the rules of the diet as she goes along
    Eliza Madrigal grin
    Riddle Sideways: ok
Eden Haiku: Ate some Kings cake with delicious creme yesterday. Changed the rules of the diet a bit :)))
Adams Rubble watches conversation whisk by with little understanding
    Eden Haiku: Sorry Adams :)
Riddle Sideways: oh how the Trolls become so in your mind at the expense of the valuable
Eliza Madrigal: I love your elegant rituals Eden
Eden Haiku: I guess Eliza stated that she was now in the 0 idole zone before you came in :)
Eliza Madrigal: Michelle = Michelle Obama
Eliza Madrigal: and how awful people are to her
    Eden Haiku: Shhh...
Adams Rubble: people are saying she is transgender?
Eliza Madrigal nods, has been going on for a long while
Eden Haiku: Never heard that until I read her book.
Riddle Sideways:Trolls are saying anything you might read
Eden Haiku: Just because she has muscles.
Adams Rubble: geez--some people need a knocking on their sides of head
Eliza Madrigal: like the terrible things they've always said about chelsea clinton since a child
Eden Haiku: Listened to a beautiful speech by Pink. Let me find it...
Eliza Madrigal: but Chelsea has a lovely way of responding. She is 'bake-a-cake-for you' kind
Eliza Madrigal: and yet sets limits, very inspiring
Eden Haiku: Internet trolls are quite incredible...
Eden Haiku: I rarely "see" them, but when I do, I'm shocked...
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: hard to understand how someone wants to spend their time and mind that way
Eden Haiku: Remember "I see you'" from the movie AVATAR.? Seems ages ago...
    Eden Haiku: All about presence.
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed, Eden
Riddle Sideways: imagine being a person that will Never get their 15-min of fame, so they elevate themselves by lowering others
    Eliza Madrigal: longing for connection
Eden Haiku: Yes, Riddle, that must be it...So sad...
Eliza Madrigal: some chemical hit of response

Riddle Sideways: (btw tip - if skating the rink. use the relaxed pose balls and try your dances AOs)
Eliza Madrigal: also hope 'transgender' won't be a terrible insult at some point in our world
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, thanks Riddle. So you can use both at once?
Riddle Sideways: skate is low priority so dances work while skating
    Eliza Madrigal: that's great!
Adams Rubble: agree about hoping not being an insult some day Eliza
Riddle Sideways: also hope, (anyword) won't be a terrible negative insult in future
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Me too :) Pink's speech is so good about gender identity,
Adams Rubble wonders who in Pink
    Eliza Madrigal: singer
Eden Haiku: Gender identity. But I cannot find. At The Musical Video Award. A speech to her daughter,
Adams Rubble is going to have to get one of these twitter machines
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Riddle Sideways: always have to stop and think also, Adams
    Eden Haiku: laughs
Eliza Madrigal: She has been extremely popular for a long while now :)
Riddle Sideways: a moment of "Pink Speech"???
Eden Haiku: We love you bringing the quiet of more sedate times Adams:)
    Eliza Madrigal: that's true, too
Eliza Madrigal: Now I'm off to take my vacuum to be cleaned while listening to Childish Gambino....
Riddle Sideways: the 1830's did not have twitters, just tweets
Eliza Madrigal: no limits to what we can appreciate!!
Eliza Madrigal: ((((( bye for now ))))))
    Adams Rubble: bye Eliza
    Adams Rubble: bye everyone else
Riddle Sideways: wow, twirling dress, Eliza
Adams Rubble: nice to meet you mysterystar
Eliza Madrigal: thanks! have a lovely week
    Riddle Sideways: bye All
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to meet you Mystery, hope you'll join us again soon
Adams Rubble: have a good week or day until Riddle gets here tomorrow :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'll look for the Pink talk
    Adams Rubble waves
    Riddle Sideways: "Pink Talk"
Eden Haiku: Thank you for beinhg here guys! Have a lovely day!
    Riddle Sideways: By Mystery Star
Eden Haiku:Will skate-dance a bit on your nice ice rink Riddle :)
Eden Haiku: Are you still here Mystery Star?
Eden Haiku: We are breaking away now. See you later?

I think I found the right video?

Also, in case Adams wants to hear a (I think quite powerful) Pink song, this one fits the above well:
