The Guardian for this meeting was Adams Rubble. The comments are by Adams Rubble.

As a historian I have often wondered about how people, who just were trying to live their lives, coped with events that were swirling around them.

Adams Rubble: they did not tell us about Joe Mcarthy
Adams Rubble: They did not tell us about the lynchings
Riddle Sideways: nope, never told us, never taught us. learned ourselves
    Riddle Sideways: and were shocked
Riddle Sideways: and yelled, screamed and went a different way
Adams Rubble: and then some of those 50s and sixties kids became tea partyers

Riddle Sideways: a 'They' became one of best friends
Riddle Sideways: a 'They' taught of the 'Other' side
Riddle Sideways: a good Bapist boy, an A-student, good to his momma, a never swore
Riddle Sideways: declared "ain't gonna fight in 'Your' war"
Riddle Sideways: then the evil thing of sneaking off to meet other 'They'(s)
Riddle Sideways: and the evil Learning
Riddle Sideways: now can't Unlearn that
Riddle Sideways: how can some of that generation unlearn the lessons?
Adams Rubble: it takes wiork to unlearn
Riddle Sideways: sorry, (well not really) for going off like this
Adams Rubble: when finds some answers to the perplexities and a place of unlearning it is very rewarding
Riddle Sideways: all those kids that were taught Their Religion and stumbled over some detail

Riddle Sideways: sheltered until could think for self
Riddle Sideways: then sort it out
Adams Rubble: our parents suffered from the patriarchy
    Adams Rubble: and their parents
Riddle Sideways: then yelled at for not having sorted it the way they wanted
Riddle Sideways: maybe Dr. Spock taught 'Spare the rod and they shall whip themselves later" ;)
Adams Rubble: Luther did a lot of whipping of himself
    Riddle Sideways: a wise guy
Riddle Sideways: well, have a busy day ahead. Have to whip self, get depressed, listen to more News, generate more garbage, put more bugs into software, etc. etc. so Sad
