    Eden, Riddle and Eliza

The memory came back to climb

    Eden Haiku: Good morning skaters:)
    Eliza Madrigal: Morning :)
    Riddle Sideways: Morning ;)
    Riddle Sideways: still dark outside
Riddle Sideways: computer was asleep most of weekend and still does not want to get and go
Eden Haiku: Computer, computer, wake up darling!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Our computers are pets in a way :)
Eliza Madrigal: All of my pets are acting up
Eden Haiku: Oh? Even old George?
Eliza Madrigal: just a little :)
Eliza Madrigal: He decided to target a loveseat the other day... very unlike him. Think he was mad about something :)
    Riddle Sideways: NO! not George
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Riddle Sideways: it was the Evil George that sometimes comes
Eden Haiku: As we were putting out decorations from the Christmas tree yesterday, I missed our cat so much. She loved the fun of it all!
Eliza Madrigal: that's right Riddle :)
    Riddle Sideways: oooo
Eliza Madrigal: Her memory comes to visit during packing, Eden?
Riddle Sideways: very nice way to put it
Eden Haiku: George and the Loveseat :) A thriller!
Eden Haiku: Yes, lovely way to put it: maybe her cat's spirit is hovering while we busy around the Christmas tree? But her spirit doesn't climb the tree, we miss her crazyness :)
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Riddle Sideways: the memory came back to climb
Eliza Madrigal: Cats and Christmas trees.... pretty much impossible to convince them it is not there for them
Eliza Madrigal: climbing memories... nice too
Eden Haiku: As everything else in the house:) Cats own our houses, don't they Riddle?
Riddle Sideways: Cats and furniture, trees, beds, clean cloths, house, outside, world ... it is all there Just for Them
    Eliza Madrigal: :) nice mindset!
Eden Haiku: They are the masters of the Universe!
    Eliza Madrigal: The cat
s in the neighborhood have made me new friends lately

    Riddle Sideways: good

    Peppy le Pew

    Eliza Madrigal: conspiratorial cats
Eliza Madrigal: Have you thought of taking in another cat-pet, Eden?
Eliza Madrigal: you come across lots in your walking I guess ^.^
Eden Haiku: We decided against having another one, because of our travels.
    Eliza Madrigal nods, makes sense
Riddle Sideways: how about a nice pet rock?
Eden Haiku: Hard to find non-allergic friends to babysit a cat :)
Eliza Madrigal: part of the year you have deer, and the rest the cats of the world
Eden Haiku: I have plenty of teddy bears :)
Riddle Sideways: are there Paris cats too?
Eden Haiku: Sure, but they are pretty rare Riddle. A rare sight!
Eden Haiku: Yes, deer and the cats of the world :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'd think there would be many, lingering outside of restaurants. That's what I'd do if I were a cat in Paris
Eden Haiku: I remember now a very chic cafe near the Louvre: they had a cat in residence, sitting on a velvet seat :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh my
    Riddle Sideways: Peppy le pew
    Riddle Sideways: was French
    Eliza Madrigal: oui
Eden Haiku: My stuffed animals got a big tour of our appartment during our Holdidays Party: the nine little leprechauns took them from my bed and took them everywhere!
    Riddle Sideways: aw
Eden Haiku: Peppy le pew...Who is it?
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, you'll love him
Eden Haiku: Will look it up...:)
Riddle Sideways: Warner Bros. cartoon character from Bugs Bunny show
Eliza Madrigal: he isn't a cat, but...

    Eliza and Zen

Zen Arado: 's current display-name is "Zen".
Eden Haiku: Ah, I see! I know him, just didn't know his name :)
Riddle Sideways: was always falling in Love with a black cat that somehow got a white stripe
    Eden Haiku: He's a skunk I think?
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Eliza Madrigal: yes :) And the poor girl cat doesn't realize she has a stripe
    Eden Haiku: Oh!
    Eliza Madrigal: mixed signals :)
Eden Haiku: Fell in love with a family of 10 on You Tube!
Zen Arado: 's current display-name is "Zen".
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen!
    Riddle Sideways: Hey Zen
Eden Haiku: They live in Finland,..Hi Zen!
Eliza Madrigal: family of 10 :::head spins::::
Zen Arado: Hi Eliza, Eden, Riddle :)
Eden Haiku: How are you Zen?
    Zen Arado: ok ty Eden
Riddle Sideways: not seen Zen at a morning session in so long
Zen Arado: I can't work on music because of eyestrain
    Riddle Sideways: ooooo bad
Eden Haiku: Sorry to hear that...
Zen Arado: it is very hard on the eyes looking at all the little dials and levels
    Riddle Sideways: yes

    Eliza Madrigal: daunting
Zen Arado: I get an operation it might help
    Zen Arado: anyway
Eliza Madrigal: was just introduced to techno-swing, and wondered if one person was coordinating all the components
Zen Arado: there are a million genres even in techno

    A family of 10

Eden Haiku: Regarding family of 10 on YouTube: I thought it was amazing, watched many videos and then realized my mother grew jup in a family of 10 herself!
Eliza Madrigal: where was she, in the line of ten?
Eden Haiku: An eye operation Zen?
Eden Haiku: My mother was the 3rd, the eldest girl.
Zen Arado: a family of 10 sounds more interesting :-)
Eliza Madrigal: lots of care-giving I'd imagine
Eden Haiku: They were three girls, as in the YouTube family.
Zen Arado: I wonder if being in a big family equips you better for life
Eden Haiku: Yes, like Cleopatra in the YouTube family.
Eliza Madrigal: problem is, life keeps changing.... you prepare for one thing then it all shifts :)
Zen Arado: big families were the norm years ago
Eden Haiku: They seem to have a lot of fun. But comments seem to say they are a kind of cult. Which is a bit silly...
Eliza Madrigal: what would make them a cult?
Zen Arado: but so many children died
Riddle Sideways: (just to finish a thought) just saw that Pepe Le Pew is the mascot of a Sexual Harassment movement (makes sense). a model of men that can't hear NO
Eden Haiku: Oh! That's interesting Riddle!
    Zen Arado: who is he?
Eliza Madrigal: I guess some thought he was a good role model, rather than the intended message :)
Riddle Sideways: a cartoon skunk, Zen
    Zen Arado: Okay
Riddle Sideways: from a miss spent youth
Zen Arado: real skunks must be widespread in the US?
Eliza Madrigal: Loony Tunes are incredibly insightful cartoons for the most part, with some problematic
Zen Arado: I kinda thought they would be a rare species
Eliza Madrigal: I was sprayed by a skunk as a child.... although we called them pole cats for some reason
Eden Haiku: Here is a link to Taina Licciardo-Toivola 10 children family: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iahCCes5vs
Zen Arado: do they still make those cartoons?
    Eliza Madrigal: thank you, Eden!
Zen Arado: I love the ones with Tweetie pie
    Eliza Madrigal: :) I don't think so
    Zen Arado: suffering succotash
    Eliza Madrigal: ^.^
Riddle Sideways: ty Eden, will watch later
Zen Arado: I tought I taw a puddy tat
    Zen Arado: :)
Eliza Madrigal: interesting names for the kids so far
Riddle Sideways: right now, seem to be stuck in reviewing all Warner Bros cartoon characters
Eden Haiku: Some say they are cultish because they wear white t-shirts and jeans mostly and they are all vegan. Youngest children are homeschooled.
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, I see. I dealt with that when we tried homeschooling
Eliza Madrigal: and when I got really involved with PaB!
Eliza Madrigal: but I do wonder why they dress one way. Easier to maintain?
Eden Haiku: Yes: Leonardo, Jerusalem, Cleopatra, Dartagnan, Romeo, Shakespeare, Nefertiti, King James, Aphrodite and Omega. No too sure of the order though...
Riddle Sideways: Omega should be the last
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Easier to maintain yes, probably. Girls are in princess pink sometimes. I guess the mother is very Instagram :)
Eliza Madrigal: I once wanted to have a lot of children... but I went to visit two large families and changed my mind
Eden Haiku: Yes, she says so, Omega being the last. She's 41 :)
Eliza Madrigal: it felt like a big burden on the older children eventually... so I think one would have to have a lot of resources
Eden Haiku: Oh, what made you changed your mind Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: those dynamics... the older kids had to be caring for the younger a lot, seemed to be working most of the time
Eliza Madrigal: I had a romanticized image and the background of a lonely childhood, and it felt different when I was actually staying with them
Eliza Madrigal: but also, they had a strong hierarchy that bothered me
Eliza Madrigal: this family may be quite different, and certainly Finland is different :)
    Eden Haiku: Ah!
    Zen Arado: woman sounds English

Eden, Riddle, Eliza, Zen and Adams

    Zen Arado: or Australian
Eden Haiku: Yes Zen, she's Finnish but they lived in Australia. The husband is Australian and it seemed he is/was the leader of a DoomsDay cult or something.
    Zen Arado: ah ok
Eden Haiku: You lived in Australia didn't you Zen?
    Zen Arado: yes 8 years
Eden Haiku: And did you grew up in a large family?
    Riddle Sideways: Hey Adams
    Eden Haiku: Welcome Adams :)
    Adams Rubble: Hello everyone :)
Zen Arado: nope just 2 of us
    Zen Arado: Hi Adams :)
    Zen Arado: sister and I
Eden Haiku: I grew up in a family of 4 and I'm the eldest, What about others?
Eliza Madrigal: my (half) sister is ten years younger
Eliza Madrigal: so I was like an only child
Eliza Madrigal: in a family with few extensions and lots of estrangements
Eden Haiku: Must have felt like that yes...
Riddle Sideways: grew up in a family with one sister. Never sure if they were the Real family or if switched at birth
    Eliza Madrigal: lol
Eliza Madrigal: I had that feeling too
    Zen Arado: :)
    Zen Arado: me too
Eliza Madrigal: thought the Kennedys were coming for me any day
Eden Haiku: Still unsure about that Riddle? hehe :)
Riddle Sideways: yes, Why didn't they find me
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Zen Arado: I never seemed to have much in common with my family
Eliza Madrigal: I wonder if that feeling is more common than not?
Riddle Sideways: might take one of those DNA tests
Zen Arado: no shared interests or anything
    Eden Haiku: Same here
Riddle Sideways: and prove to sister
Eliza Madrigal: Close with your sister now Riddle?
Riddle Sideways: almost, keep forgetting to call
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eden Haiku: smiles
Riddle Sideways: Eden just saw all of them in a small apartment
Eden Haiku: Minus my sister Riddle. We are still estranged.
    Riddle Sideways: oh, remember
Eden Haiku: I feel close to my brothers though.
Eliza Madrigal: fortunate in that :)
    Eden Haiku: Yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: I think it is hard to convince the sort of base instinct wiring that just because someone is family doesn't mean you need to be close or understand each other
Eden Haiku: Talking about families brings up lots of feelings doesn't it?
Eliza Madrigal nods, a little sadly
    Eden Haiku: The human family...
Eden Haiku: Being human among humans, country, city, neighborhood, family
Zen Arado: my sister was very dependent on her husband who died aged 60
    Eden Haiku: Practising loving kindness
    Adams Rubble: :(
Zen Arado: and it's like she never learned to do anything herself
Eden Haiku: How is she now Zen?
Eden Haiku: Oh, that's very sad...
Zen Arado: I get irritated with her and then feel bad about it
Eden Haiku: I see what you mean...
Zen Arado: but she never seems to want to think about anything
Zen Arado: just depend on others
    Eliza Madrigal: long marriage?
Zen Arado: yes but widowed about 18 years now
    Eliza Madrigal: deep conditioning though
Eden Haiku: Must be hard for you to having to rely on others because of your sickness isn't it Zen?
    Zen Arado: yes
    Zen Arado: dependency is hard

    A course

Zen Arado: started a course this morning
Eden Haiku: So her dependency is irritating, that's understandable...
    Eden Haiku: A course?
Zen Arado: on integrating mental health with physical ill health

Zen Arado: the correlation between physical disability on mental health
Eden Haiku: You are always so creative and full of projects Zen, I'm sure it does help your mental health!
Eliza Madrigal: too, we're just not aware of all the ways we're all
normally very dependent on others and fragile, so kind of section off and pretend, not relating

Eden Haiku: That's so true Eliza....
    Zen Arado: https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/integrating-mental-and-physical-health-depression-and-anxiety/2/todo/37744
    Eliza Madrigal clicks and saves
Zen Arado: yes I never thought about this before
    Eden Haiku: Thanks Zen.
    Riddle Sideways: ty, read later
Riddle Sideways: you are always learning and studying, Zen
Zen Arado: seems an obvious connection though
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: still sneaky though
    Zen Arado: I'm a learnalcoholic :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Zen Arado:learnaholic?
Riddle Sideways: a Great -oholic to be
Eden Haiku: My grandmother, the one who was the mother of 10, became a widow when she was pregnant with the last one and she raised them all by herself. Paralyzed when she was 84 and got very very angry about being dependent on others.
    Eliza Madrigal: wow, how hard
Eden Haiku: She was very religious but she didn't like the way life treated her at the end and became rebellious...
    Eliza Madrigal: understandable
Eliza Madrigal: did her ten take good care of her?
Zen Arado: oh I have to go
    Eliza Madrigal: Okay bfn Zen
Eden Haiku: Brought her he rosary from the Vatican and she almost discarded it..
    Zen Arado: thanks for conversation
    Riddle Sideways: by Zen
    Riddle Sideways: TC
Eden Haiku: Bye Zen, thank you for being here and good luck with the course :)
    Eliza Madrigal: ouch, Eden
Eden Haiku: I guess that was the problem. She needed hospital care so children were just visiting her.
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, so felt isolated probably

Someone would just come and tell me what to do

Eliza Madrigal: I sometimes feel about my time being religious... as though I made decisions that cost me a lot 'under the influence' of a cult :) But I know that's short-sighted and a coping mechanism not to just feel silly and stupid
Riddle Sideways: guess rebellious happens at any age
Eden Haiku: And the doctors were calling her 'little lady:, things like that. She hated that!
Eliza Madrigal: eew, she sounds strong-minded though
    Eden Haiku: She was!
Eden Haiku: Oh, you feel you were "under the influence' of a cult ELiza?
    Adams Rubble: back, reading
    Adams Rubble: bye Zen
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Eden Haiku: Welcome back Adams :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes I really do... can see why I was sort of the perfect person for that kind of set up, too :)
Eden Haiku: No more singsong of wb Riddle?
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Adams :)
Riddle Sideways: aren't we always 'under the influence' all the time?
    Eliza Madrigal nods, good point
Eden Haiku: We all need belonging, it's very human.
    Riddle Sideways: nope won't type
Riddle Sideways: *:::* WELCOME BACK *:::*
Eden Haiku: Yes, good point Riddle :))
Eden Haiku: And thanks for the song :)
Riddle Sideways: darn, even at the end of a sentence
Eliza Madrigal: Now I sort of wish I could turn my mind off long enough to fully buy into a cult, hehe
Eden Haiku: Longing for a guru Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: always :) wish someone would just come and tell me what to do
Eden Haiku: Maybe Adams could be our guru? I admire her quietness.
Eden Haiku: Oh yes, the zero idol thing.... Laughs.
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Riddle Sideways: "Take Out the Garbage!"
Eden Haiku: have a wife Eliza :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: She will order you around :)
Riddle Sideways: and take care of you
Eliza Madrigal: that's the answer :)
Eliza Madrigal: AI will eventually set up a program for me to follow and I'll just fall in line
Riddle Sideways: great! thank you AI
Eden Haiku: Laughing at imagining Eliza following all her AI orders :))
Eden Haiku: How is your pet AI doing Riddle?

    The Computer History Museum

Adams Rubble back from the doctor's this morning where reminded of all the things I was told to do and did not do
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, one good, other not so
    Riddle Sideways: oh dear, Adams
Eden Haiku: And how do you feel about that Adams? Guilt? Rebellion?
Adams Rubble: It's OK, I can tale it :)
Riddle Sideways: an AI to yell "Floss!"
Eliza Madrigal: Doctors may wish for implants they could give that would shock when their patients go for the second serving :)
Adams Rubble resolves to do better :)
    Eden Haiku: Good!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: We always have to deal with these shadow selves that want one more glass of wine. At least, I do...
Eliza Madrigal: we bond at the weak points though, would never want to give that up
    Eden Haiku: True!
Adams Rubble: just one or two more pizzas, honest
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Eliza Madrigal: me too
    Eden Haiku: Me too :(
    Riddle Sideways: also
Eden Haiku: Healthy vegan pizzas :))
    Eden Haiku: With vegan cheese
Eliza Madrigal: and all your walking, though
    Riddle Sideways: gluten-free crust
Eliza Madrigal: surely that buys you some pizza freedom
Eden Haiku: MaybeI can ask the family of 10 from Finland to adopt me?
Eliza Madrigal: be sure to wear white and denim to blend in, they'll never notice
Eden Haiku: Missed my 10,000 steps for two days in a row :(
    Riddle Sideways: oh dear
    Adams Rubble: winter is rough
Eden Haiku: I would love to crawl on the floor with the babies..,
    Eliza Madrigal: aw :)
    Riddle Sideways: aw
Eden Haiku: Winter is very cold yes.
Riddle Sideways: got 10k yesterday at a museum
Eden Haiku: Wonderful Riddle! What was the exhibition?
Riddle Sideways: went by self to The Computer History Museum
Riddle Sideways: and went at personal speed
    Eliza Madrigal: nice
Eden Haiku: Oh, must be compelling!
    Riddle Sideways: for nerds
Eden Haiku: I also like going alone to museums.
    Eliza Madrigal: same
Eden Haiku: You are a nerd :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: the amazing history of punched cards
    Eden Haiku: ?
Riddle Sideways: instead of going with somebody that wants too spend an hour in front of a pure yellow canvas
Eliza Madrigal thinks of the film Desk Set
Eliza Madrigal: fun to go with someone to a small exhibition, separate and come back to eat, but not if it is something you're really into
Riddle Sideways: ooooo Love that movie
Eliza Madrigal: :) me too, punch cards made me think of it
Adams Rubble was surprised to see that punched cards were used in textile manufacture
Riddle Sideways: think that looms were the start of punch card control
    Riddle Sideways: programs
    Eliza Madrigal: huh
    Eden Haiku: Oh?
Adams Rubble: the ;puched cards determined which collor threads would be used in a [pattern
    Adams Rubble: color
Riddle Sideways: first punch cards were wooden and controled the weaving looms
Eliza Madrigal: that is so interesting
Adams Rubble learned that from geneology. hehe
    Eliza Madrigal: >mind blown<
Riddle Sideways: whether the waft(?) was raised or lowered
Eden Haiku: And punched cards were the beginning of AI?
    Eden Haiku: Sort of...
Adams Rubble: of course they had to keep the Luddites away
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: not sure, think Eliza was not on punch cards
Eliza Madrigal suddenly feels she is in Westworld

Eliza Madrigal: such neat connections... want to linger longer but have to enjoy car repairs today
Riddle Sideways: oh wow, what fun
Adams Rubble: bye bye Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: (((friends)))) thank you so much
Eden Haiku: Have fun with mechanics Eliza!
    Eden Haiku: (((Eliza)))
    Eliza Madrigal: ♥ ♥ ♥
Eden Haiku: I think I will also start my day :))
Riddle Sideways: personal guru is saying "That the garbage out"
Eden Haiku: Thank you friends for sharing time with me :)
Adams Rubble will continue day where it left off :)
    Riddle Sideways: thank y'all
Eden Haiku: Bye Adams, bye Riddle, have a great Monday/week!
Adams Rubble: have a good day Eden and Riddle :)
    Riddle Sideways: you too
Eden Haiku: Let us stay away from pizzas :)
Adams Rubble: Jury duty Thursday so probably will not be here
    Riddle Sideways: ok
Adams Rubble: unless am relieved of duties
    Eden Haiku: Jury duty... OH!
Eden Haiku: That must be difficult.
Adams Rubble: wishing it was the trump trial [missed that :]
    Adams Rubble: hehe
    Eden Haiku: Was never called.
    Riddle Sideways: ha
    Adams Rubble waves
Eden Haiku: Good luck with that Adams!
