The Guardian for this meeting was Eliza Madrigal. The comments are by Eliza Madrigal, joined by Eden, Sharon, Yakuzza, and for a second at the end, Zon. This was an exploratory session, perhaps seeping from last night's second theme session with Eos on "Be Decisive, Know What Is, See Clearly."
Eliza Madrigal: Hello Eden! Good Morning :)))
Eden Haiku: Good morning beautiful Eliza!
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: Really pretty hair today... and so glittery
Eliza Madrigal enjoys the details :)
Eden Haiku: So gracious when you sit in this green velours dress!
Eliza Madrigal: Its an elegant color, for sure. I wonder if I'll ever want to change again :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, I'm into matching hair and clothes these days...:)
Eliza Madrigal: I really enjoyed last night's session. I felt one step behind, but that was great... love the banter and poetry between everyone...
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to see you Sharon :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: good morning :)
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: We thought about you last night, too, Sharon... during Eos's theme session....
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh? I have to read it :)
Eliza Madrigal: re staying with what appears.... being decisive and open :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'm sure he'll post it soon... is good about that
SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
Eden Haiku: Hello Sophia Sharon! Yes Eliza, that was a great session. Funny how Eos would not talk about being decisive..He was adamant about it!
Eliza Madrigal: hahaha, yes!
Eliza Madrigal: That *was* funny :)
Eden Haiku: Made a strong decision about letting us do all the talking he he..
Eliza Madrigal: hehe, and Pema do the haiku-ing
SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
Eliza Madrigal: Did either of you wake with a topic this morning, or something on your mind?SophiaSharon Larnia: no, just got home from work actually :)
Eden Haiku: oh yes, he was pretty wild with his haikus...I'm sure there is no verse about "the behind of Buddha" in Japanese traditional haikus...;)))
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, wow... how much longer for that schedule Sharon?
Eliza Madrigal: haha Eden, yes
SophiaSharon Larnia: a week
Eliza Madrigal: home stretch
Eden Haiku: looking everywhere for a topic...
SophiaSharon Larnia: haha
Eliza Madrigal: Then you will have to learn to sleep and wake like a 'normal' person for a while
After the rain, sun glistens on dream fragments...
Eden Haiku: Après la pluie, le beau temps.
Eden Haiku: Afyter rain, the sun comes in. Is there a saying about that in English?
SophiaSharon Larnia: like a normal person, whats that
SophiaSharon Larnia: ;)
Eliza Madrigal: Ahhh, yes Eden... that's the saying! :)
Eliza Madrigal: Or "weeping endures for the night but joy comes in the morning"
Eden Haiku: Like that; After rain, the sun comes in?Eden Haiku: I remember a fragment of a dream.
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh?
Eden Haiku: I was looking at a small objcet in gold and was saying it was light,
Eden Haiku: Then someone said no no, it is heavy.
SophiaSharon Larnia: decribing properties?
Eden Haiku: Took it in my hand to weigh it: yes it was. A small gold pyramid.
Eliza Madrigal: That's what you remember? anything more?
Eden Haiku: Maybe it is connected to something I read in a log with Moon and Satrgate, talking about some Egyptian place in SL i wanted to check but the forgot.
Eliza Madrigal: How interesting though, when you can 'feel' the weightiness
Eliza Madrigal: in dreamsEden Haiku: Yes, then I heard the rain (very heavy rain this morning) and went to close the window...the rest vanished...
Eliza Madrigal: Its a bit like SL too... that when one feels the swish of a dress, for instance... its definitely a kind of imagination that is tangible
Eden Haiku: So does anyone have a topic for the next 90 secs?
SophiaSharon Larnia: ooh that happens to me too
Eden Haiku: The swish of a dress...how nice ;)))
Eliza Madrigal: feeling in dreams, Sharon?
Eliza Madrigal: 'touching'
SophiaSharon Larnia: waking up enought that the rest of the dream disappears
SophiaSharon Larnia: i had a dream i was painting my house ;0
Eliza Madrigal: notebooks are good for that, but one has to wake up enough to write in them, too
Eliza Madrigal: Does your house need painting?
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes actually it does
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: too bad you didn't wake with it painted... or did you?
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: ;))
SophiaSharon Larnia: that would be absolutely lovely
"Focusing on our senses"
Eliza Madrigal: hm... framing the next 90 seconds....
Eliza Madrigal: Do you have an idea Eden?
Eden Haiku: have you read " A Natural History" of the Senses by Diane Ackerman. I thought about this book after the dream. Reda that a long time a go. Very powerful book. http://bit.ly/cdEsaGEden Haiku: What about focusing on our senses?
Eliza Madrigal: That sounds wonderful as an exploration, Sure
Eliza Madrigal: (and I'm making note of the book)
Eden Haiku: You would enjoy it immensely, I am sure.
Eliza Madrigal: There is something quite wonderful in exploring senses... noticing, and noticing, and noticing.... not just what we see but hear and taste....
Eden Haiku: Maybe we can focus of this 'feeling' sense (cold, warm, touch etc..)
Eliza Madrigal: Yes!
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: :) That was nice
Eliza Madrigal: Reports? :)
Eden Haiku: Yes Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: hehe
Eden Haiku: What did you experience?
Eliza Madrigal: I held a piece of what I think is a meteorite, which I for some reason felt to take out of a cabinet this morning....
Eden Haiku: Oh...how did it felt?
Eliza Madrigal: and felt its rough edges... then noticed how noticing my feeling fingers, caused me to notice so many other 'non related' feelings....
Eliza Madrigal: so the fingers were a gateway I guess....
Eliza Madrigal: and then my cat jumped up and I pet him but he bit me playfully....
Eden Haiku: Fingers as a gateway, how lovely!
Eliza Madrigal: I almost wished I could bite the cat back... Haha
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Try that!
Eliza Madrigal imagines that fur in my mouth wouldn't feel great
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: And what did you experience Eden?
Eden Haiku: They now have these things aclled soft paws for cats. To put over their claws...
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, good ideaEden Haiku: Not much, as my father knocked at the door to give me some chocolate rabbit his lady friend gave him for me :)) I felt happy to see him and gave him a peck on the cheek ;)
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, pecks on the cheek feel very nice :)Yakuzza Lethecus: good morning everyone
Eliza Madrigal: Morning Yakuzza! :) We're exploring senses this morning....
SophiaSharon Larnia: morning yakuzza
Eden Haiku: Good afternoon Yakuzza!
Eliza Madrigal: Sharon, your pause journey?
Eden Haiku: Sharon?
SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles, the noises i hear the birds and cars, feeling of sitting in the chair, and the silence that covers it all
Eliza Madrigal pictures snow, though I know Winter has passed, when Sharon says 'the silence that covers it all'
Eden Haiku: "The silence that covers it all", that is beautiful!
SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
SophiaSharon Larnia: i hear silence very loudly for some reason atm lol
Eliza Madrigal: Permeating silence.....
Eliza Madrigal: It actually makes me think of 'being a mountain' amidst all the bustle and activity taking place on it....
Eden Haiku: And it is synesthesic: both sound and touch in the same line.
Eliza Madrigal: Mmmm, yes
Eden Haiku: Being a mountain yes.
Eliza Madrigal: Silence is more than just an underlayer...
SophiaSharon Larnia: i was just thinking, ok senses, lets sit :)
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eden Haiku: Like in yoga. Standing pose.
Eliza Madrigal: Its in everything, and is everything...
Eliza Madrigal: Some days its difficult to just 'stand' with everything and 'not' touch it
SophiaSharon Larnia: wasnt meant to be a poem, just too tired to write it a different way :)
Eliza Madrigal: :) poetry arising on its own ... using Sharon's fatigue
Eden Haiku: Hours and hours of work seem to trigger the poet in you Sophia Sharon!
Eliza Madrigal: maybe a natural antidoteSophiaSharon Larnia: like, loud sunshine, quiet curve of the chair
Eliza Madrigal: Mmmm
Eliza Madrigal: We're approaching another pause...
Eliza Madrigal: Shall we do this one again? Notice what we 'feel'?
Eden weaving...
Eden Haiku: Fingers's gateway / The silence that covers it all/Loud sunshine mountain
Eliza Madrigal: !!
SophiaSharon Larnia: :)) Eden
Eden Haiku: Sure Eliza.
Eliza Madrigal: I'm finding this terribly therapudic today
Eden Haiku: Shall we focus on' touch' again?
Eden Haiku: How to you call this sense?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, great
Eliza Madrigal: tactile
Eden Haiku: Tactile, thanks.:)
Eden Haiku: Ok with you Yaku?
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: Okay, someone else first this time...
Eden Haiku: Closed my eyes, beacame aware of my breath.
SophiaSharon Larnia: I realized i am very hungry, i didnt realize it ;p
Eliza Madrigal: How funny, Sharon.... attention is so amazing... showing us the obvious
SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Eden Haiku: Then my mind went: is it part of "tactile', oh yes, oh no, maybe, oh yes they call it kinesthesic and it is all other sensation...
SophiaSharon Larnia: in a passive kind of way
Eliza Madrigal: Eden, really funny but my pause was so similar!
Eden Haiku: Oh, SophiaSharon, too tired to realize you are hungry...Must be very tired...
SophiaSharon Larnia: haha
Eliza Madrigal: I felt breath and wondered if that was tactile... decided yes....
Eden Haiku: Worrying about categories, aren't we silly!
Eliza Madrigal: Yes!
SophiaSharon Larnia: on that note, I think I'll see you later :) sorry to leave so early
Eliza Madrigal: But the distinctions often have something to show us
Eliza Madrigal: ((Sharon)) Rest
Eden Haiku: Good! being decisive Eliza!
SophiaSharon Larnia: bye for now :))
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to see you even if for a bit
Yakuzza Lethecus: bye ssl
Eden Haiku: (((Sharon))))
Tactile Text ...
Eliza Madrigal: Yakuzza, did you pause with us?
EdeYakuzza Lethecus: i never know what i should reflect upon
Eden Haiku: By the way, Eliza it took me ages to realize that when you write (((( )))) it means hug!
Eliza Madrigal grins
Eden Haiku: ((((Yakuzza)))))
Yakuzza Lethecus: didn´t know that either :)
Eliza Madrigal: I've been doing that so long it never occurred to me that people didn't know :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: (((eden)))
Eden Haiku: I keep doing this now. Hugging everyone!
Eliza Madrigal: (((Yakuzza)))) (((Eden))))
Eliza Madrigal: :)))
Eden Haiku: ((((ELiza))))
Eliza Madrigal: We're all Amma
Eliza Madrigal: very tactile... very healing
Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
Eden Haiku: Amma, Amma, Amma...Eliza Madrigal: You know, after last night's session, I heard something else float up .....
Eden Haiku: Very healing yes...Even in pixels, isn't amazing?
Eden Haiku: Yes Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: Ghandi's "Be the change"
Eden Haiku: Be the change?
Eliza Madrigal: "Be the change you wish to see in the world"
Eden Haiku: Ah yes...
Eden Haiku: Nice :)))) Thinking about your big decision aren't you? :)))
Eliza Madrigal: Seemed so clear, the imagery... of wondering how to 'fix' and change all the little things...
Eliza Madrigal: Yes, indeed I am...
Eliza Madrigal: trying not to think about it too much in the 'usual' ways...
Eliza Madrigal: but to rest in completeness... settle into awareness
Eliza Madrigal: and then "Know"
Eliza Madrigal: and just let acting/deciding happen from thatEden Haiku: read in a Christaine Singer book something like this:
always stand as if you were standing in front of a great Being. Even when you are alone.
Eliza Madrigal: Wow
Eliza Madrigal: that's quite powerful
Eden Haiku: Decision making in front of a great Being. :)))
Eliza Madrigal feels that
Eliza Madrigal: Sometimes when I act in a small way, I sense that there are large (or multiple) reverberations depending on the level or quality of attention....
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps in the same way that fingers can be a gateway
Eliza Madrigal: like whatever I have 'there', 'here', is enough
Eliza Madrigal: but Knowing it is, Matters
Tasting gateways ...
Eden Haiku: Was eating a pear this morning at breakfast Eliza, and I thought about your description of eating a pear in a tweet. The pear tasted twice as delicious.
Eliza Madrigal: !! I'm so glad!... yes just like that.... eternity in a pear
Eliza Madrigal: in the awareness
Eliza Madrigal: of the blessing of the pear
Eden Haiku: Feeling connected to you through a pêar. Yes, you are my own personal Proust Eliza :)))
Eliza Madrigal giggles... and there is that quality of connection in the awareness, too....Eliza Madrigal: ((Eden))).. now I feel warm and fuzzy... like the outside of a pear
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Yakuzza, ever contempate your food?
Eliza Madrigal: its awakening :)
--BELL--
Eden passes along a remarkable Work of Appreciation that rivals any scripture I've seen. I imagine it even more delicious in French. :)
Eden Haiku: Prous'st piece about 'The little madeleine' (eternity in a tea cake) is the most wonderful piece of all French literature I think. Let me see if I can find it on the web in English...
Eden Haiku: http://www.haverford.edu/psych/ddavi...9g/proust.html
Eliza Madrigal: OOoh, thank you Eden! You will be my gateway to fine French literature
Eden Haiku: It is called 'The cookie' in English.
Eliza Madrigal: :) printing to take to the doc's office
Eden Haiku: In French 'madeleine, is both a cake and the name of a girl.
Eliza Madrigal: Yakuzza... seems the bell interrupted you... a bell with bad timing, who would think :)
Eden Haiku: When I read that for the fisrt time (I was 15), I thought it was the story of a little girl.
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, yes... My daughter 'J' delighted in the Madeline books when little
Eden Haiku: But them reading it, I was shell shocked.
Eliza Madrigal wonders how she missed it all these years
Eden Haiku: I became a writer reading this I believe.
Eliza Madrigal: !Yakuzza Lethecus: my contemplative awareness of my food is sadly reduced to it´s amount and my disablitly to eat as much as i would like
Eliza Madrigal: hahahaha
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, ya
Eliza Madrigal: that's why you need to contemplate it all the more... draw out the Satisfaction....
Eden remarks on a piece I posted, which is actually something Pema posted before ... part of IV Quartets...
Eden Haiku: I missed almaost all English literature Eliza :) This qupte from T.S. Elliot you posted was a discovery for me. I knew the name buty had not read him yet.
Eden Haiku: Ah Yaku :))) contemplating his food....
Eliza Madrigal: Reading is such a way of that connection... as with the pear... tapping into anothers' experience and attention... translating a taste....
Eliza Madrigal: which can't help but be shared in turn perhaps
From sharing pears and cookies, to virtual chocolate rabbits...
Eden Haiku: I wonder what I will do with the chocolate rabbit my father gave me...Certainly share it with hi, Want a peice of a virtual chocolate rabbit Yakuzza?
Eliza Madrigal: I'm thankful for your reading Madeline, Eden :)
Eden Haiku: *a piece
Yakuzza Lethecus: oh, yes
Eden Haiku: ((((ELiza))))
Yakuzza Lethecus: i even take more :)
Eliza Madrigal giggles at virtual chocolate rabbit... would be funny if I named the session that ... heh
Yakuzza Lethecus: does it bring a choclate mouth animation with it ?
Eden Haiku: Please, have a big chunk of it, as BIG as you want! It is a magic chocolate rabbit, it grows more limbs as you eat it!
Eliza Madrigal giggles
Eden Haiku: Would you like some Eliza, in case of a Dementors attack?
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, definitely... they've been lurking lately
Eden Haiku: Funny. I kind of knew that. The cold you had...
Eliza Madrigal: yes... have been a bit depleted. :) Sweet of you to notice...
Eliza Madrigal: Hey seems a good time for...
"And now we dance"
Eliza Madrigal: ãƒãƒ§ã‚³ãƒ¬ã‚¤ãƒˆãƒ»ãƒ‡ã‚£ã‚¹ã‚³ ♪
Eden Haiku: yes...
Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
Eden Haiku: ãƒãƒ§ã‚³ãƒ¬ã‚¤ãƒˆãƒ»ãƒ‡ã‚£ã‚¹ã‚³ ♪
Eliza Madrigal: heheh
Eden Haiku: he he Yakuzza, you are the one who came up with that?
Yakuzza Lethecus: no
Eliza Madrigal: He's sure the one who reminds us of it often ;-)
Yakuzza Lethecus: pema and storm used that first :)
Eden Haiku: Oh, thought so...
Eliza Madrigal: fun... and chocolate
Eden Haiku: It is quite nice. I had it in inventory, forts time I dance. thanks for that dancing pause Eliza :)))
Eliza Madrigal: I suppose taste is tactile... but so many things....
Eliza Madrigal: sense of smell is crucial to taste
Yakuzza Lethecus: actually i even had chocolate before
Eden Haiku: Yes I think the kinesthesis sense contains all else outside of sight and hearing.
Yakuzza Lethecus: does kinder country exist in the states ?
Eden Haiku: Kinder chocolate you mean Yaku?
Eliza Madrigal: kinder country?
Yakuzza Lethecus: https://www.sweets-online.com/images...1439-11439.jpg
Yakuzza Lethecus: hey zon
Zon Quar: heya
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zon :)
Eliza Madrigal: long time no see

Eden Haiku: Hello Zon!

Yakuzza Lethecus: hihi, they are tasty and i usually save the world from an entire package within an hour
