Present for this session were 7 guardians: Agatha, Bleu, Eliza, Eos, Lucinda, Maxine, & Yakuzza.

We had a wonderful discussion that bounced around from Scribes, to Donations, to Art as Being, to Dream Circle, & Non-logged sessions! -Eliza

    Maxine Walden: hi, Eliza
Agatha Macbeth: Just seems odd to me to straddle two sims
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Liz :))
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Maxine! Hi Agatha :))
Agatha Macbeth: We remember what happened to Kira Cafe once
Maxine Walden: what are you recalling Agatha?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Maxine Walden: hi, Yaku
Agatha Macbeth: The first Cafe, 'burned down' or something
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Yaku
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Ya :)
    Eliza Madrigal: burned down?
Maxine Walden: hmm, not recalling that ...
Agatha Macbeth: But I heard it was a sim problem
Agatha Macbeth: I think 'burned down' was a joke...
Maxine Walden: oh, yes, Storm had to take it down I think, and the story of it burning down emerged
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeah
Eliza Madrigal: hah, missed that :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :))
Maxine Walden: we need to ask him again for the detail
    Maxine Walden: hi, bleu
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi bleu :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Bleu :)
    Bleu Oleander: hi all :)
Eliza Madrigal: I love that there is a whole pab/kira mythology... heh
Agatha Macbeth is trying to divide attention between this and Italy v New Zealand
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes Liz
Maxine Walden: ah, split attention, World Cup vs Guardain meeting
    Agatha Macbeth: Mmm
    Yakuzza Lethecus is for NZ
Eliza Madrigal: thanks for sharing, Ag :))
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Lucinda :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey luci :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Luci
    Maxine Walden: hi, Lucinda
    Bleu Oleander: hi Luci
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to have you back at the guardian session, btw, Maxine
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Eliza Madrigal: I hope you've had wonderful adventures
Maxine Walden: ah, nice to be back!
Lucinda Lavender: Hi Yaku,Maxine,Agatha, Eliza, Bleu
    Maxine Walden: Missed the group
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
    Eliza Madrigal: We missed you!
    Maxine Walden: :)

Scribes, Art as Being Session, and Art History Workshop...

Lucinda Lavender: Thanks for sending the scribe material Eliza...appreciated reading it.
Agatha Macbeth: Yes. I'm working on mine atm :)
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, wonderful Lucinda, thanks :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'm enjoying seeing the scribes by author
Eliza Madrigal: rather than month, in some ways... really highlights distinct personalities. :) And I can't wait to see yours, Agatha ...
Eliza Madrigal: not to put too much pressure of anticipation.. heh
    Lucinda Lavender: yes...I see
Agatha Macbeth: I'll do my best [grin]
Eliza Madrigal: BTW, there is an Art History workshop today, at 11AM SLT... Solstice theme
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes, thanks Liz
    Maxine Walden: should be interesting
Agatha Macbeth: Is it at the Sacred art Museum?
Eliza Madrigal: yes I believe so... Adams was all aglow this morning :)
Bleu Oleander: and a special session tomorrow at 2PM on the Being as Time photo project :)
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Ah yes, won't forget that Bleu :)
    Maxine Walden: oh, yes, bleu
    Bleu Oleander: shameless promoter :)
Eliza Madrigal: Definitely won't forget... very exciting
    Eliza Madrigal: hah :)
    Maxine Walden: :))
    Agatha Macbeth: And why not?
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Lucinda Lavender: I wish I could be there Bleu but I go back to work tomorrow
Eliza Madrigal: I love this theme... Time is endlessly fascinating
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, not off for Summer Lucinda?
Lucinda Lavender: no ...working 10-2 each day. But this week starts 1:30-4:30 on monday and tuesday
Bleu Oleander: i'll put the log on the wiki
Eliza Madrigal: AH :) the special session will be logged thankfully
    Eliza Madrigal: ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal: Thanks, Bleu
    Agatha Macbeth smiles

    Dream Circle, Dream Workshop...

Lucinda Lavender: Have wanted to go to the dream workshop in it's usual format Maxine...:)
    Lucinda Lavender: eventually...
Maxine Walden: ah, yes, Lucinda, will look forward whenever you have the chance. The Dream Circle you and Connie did these past two weeks was very interesting. Thanks for that
    Lucinda Lavender: yes...
Lucinda Lavender: quite an interesting challenge with some doing text and some in voice
Lucinda Lavender: Have thought about that.
    Maxine Walden: indeed.
Eliza Madrigal: indeed, and also surprising that with those things it still was very inspiring... not too disruptive
Agatha Macbeth: Does mixed chat/voice tend to work well or not?
Lucinda Lavender: and the challenge of knowing when ones turn starts
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Bleu Oleander: it works for our salons
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Maxine Walden: mixed chat/voice worked better than I had imagined, as others are saying
Bleu Oleander: helps to have a moderator
Lucinda Lavender: I think it can work...
Eliza Madrigal: yes, the biggest challenge with dream circle seems to be preparation, because in open settings/forums, late arrivals and early departures are a concern
Agatha Macbeth: I must say thetimes I have heard one person speaking in voice and people asking questions in chat it always seemed to go well
Eliza Madrigal nods @ Ag, like in the cafh workshop?
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes!
    Agatha Macbeth: exactly
Lucinda Lavender: there is an ease yes
Lucinda Lavender: the biggest thing to learn was whether a dream was done...
Lucinda Lavender: before starting the next...
Lucinda Lavender: without appearing to talk across the circle
Agatha Macbeth: What was the objective of the Dream circle?
Lucinda Lavender: I personally thing that text is silent so a person could ask for the stone from across the circle without interfereing with the energy
Lucinda Lavender: well that is a good question
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Agatha Macbeth is good at asking awkward questions
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Lucinda Lavender: In my experience it is one thing...in connies view maybe another
    Lucinda Lavender: one
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, 'the eye of the beholder' then?
Maxine Walden: for me the Circle was a demonstration of considering the dream as an entrypoint into the wider, deeper unconscious that we all share; and that the Circle can sort of tap into the wider, deeper cosmos
    Agatha Macbeth: Thanks Max
Eliza Madrigal: hm, nods. I suppose there is much room for different settings and formalities
    Lucinda Lavender: thanks Maxine
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Agatha Macbeth: That sounds really good
Maxine Walden: :)) many viewpoints, perhaps
    Eliza Madrigal: Yes!!
    Maxine Walden: i was impressed
Lucinda Lavender: it can be deep
Agatha Macbeth: Many viewpoints are always good...
Lucinda Lavender: deep listening with ones body...giving the images to the circle for the effect of seeing beyond the personl
Lucinda Lavender: oops thought I was typing and wasn't
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Maxine Walden: :)
Agatha Macbeth: I heard you! :)
    Lucinda Lavender: guess I was:)
Agatha Macbeth: If you type and nothing appears, it's often a sign you are about to crash
    Lucinda Lavender: ok
Eliza Madrigal: The circle does inspire a listening stance...
    Lucinda Lavender: good to know
Agatha Macbeth: Or the sim is
Maxine Walden: ah, thanks for the warning, Agatha
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Maxine Walden: yes, Eliza, a listening stance sort of beyond the self
Agatha Macbeth: 'getting beyond the self' sounds a lot like PaB :)
Lucinda Lavender: the images being a personal metaphor for a universal energy. hat
    Lucinda Lavender: No Hat:)
    Lucinda Lavender: :)))
Agatha Macbeth: 'On having no hat' :)
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
    Maxine Walden: hathathat
Lucinda Lavender: accidents that make sense!
    Agatha Macbeth: Eucatastrophe
Eliza Madrigal: We get beyond all the hats we wear, in pab :)
Lucinda Lavender: little hat and big hat!
Eliza Madrigal: you seeing Being seeing
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Eliza Madrigal giggles and may be taking this too far...
    Maxine Walden: brb
    Lucinda Lavender: perhaps
    Eliza Madrigal smiles at Ag
    Agatha Macbeth grins
    Bleu Oleander: :)

Gifts, donations, awkwardness of discussing intimate topics...

Eliza Madrigal: I have another news item...
    Agatha Macbeth: Oooh
Eliza Madrigal: The 'recurring donations' button is now installed at the Kira website
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Lucinda Lavender: ah!
    Lucinda Lavender: where?
Eliza Madrigal: and also at the pab site itself : http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Donations
Eliza Madrigal: This should make it very simple for anyone who would like to 'set it and forget it'
    Eliza Madrigal: ;-)
Agatha Macbeth loves to set it and forget it
    Lucinda Lavender: nice!
Eliza Madrigal: I've always liked that phrase... its a ridiculous marketing phrase from a rotiseree oven infomercial... but I think it applies to meditation in some way... to the 'letting go' process
    Maxine Walden: back
Agatha Macbeth: And to life in general
    Eliza Madrigal: wb Maxine :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Indeed Agatha
    Agatha Macbeth waves to Max
    Maxine Walden: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Its like a prayer/intention, really....
Eliza Madrigal: and our gifts of all sorts are perhaps like that too?
Agatha Macbeth needs to ponder that
    Eliza Madrigal: me too :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
Lucinda Lavender: Before I forget I wanted to say a big thank you for letting me share the dream circle idea and be able to see it though others eyes so to speak. This was much appreciated by me. It has been helpful to me personally.
Agatha Macbeth: Glad to hear it Luci :)
Maxine Walden: helpful for others too, Lucinda, and for me personally, so a thank you all around!
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, yes, thanks so much!
    Lucinda Lavender: so welcome
Lucinda Lavender: I am happy to donate...
Lucinda Lavender: I am curious about the solstice art...
Maxine Walden: I think Eliza may be trying to sidle up to the donations issue, something that may feel awkward to consider
Maxine Walden: because in part we each give so much as it is in our way
    Agatha Macbeth: Me too luci
Lucinda Lavender: what more can you say about it eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks Maxine, Lucinda... yes...
Lucinda Lavender: about donations I mean...
Eliza Madrigal: There has been a bit of discussion around donations, and we have more tools in place now...
Eliza Madrigal: and there is still perhaps the feelings around the process of giving, in a community like ours, to discuss more
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not sure what shapes the fundraisings will take. We've talked about art auctions and qt brought up a kind of 'yearly subscription' idea
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding
Eliza Madrigal: I suppose its an 'intimate' topic?
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, i remember us talking about that here
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Eliza Madrigal: So maybe in this we can learn from dream circle too...wading into waters and discussing the serious and awkward things with more and more ease together....
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: Very nicely expressed Liz :)
Maxine Walden: very nice idea, Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: :)ty
Lucinda Lavender: to experience the consistent consideration at the pavillion...certainly a source
    Eliza Madrigal: yes...
Eliza Madrigal: When thinking about conflicts in the world, and in daily life... it seems there is really no more valuable skill and talent and hm... Art, than learning to dialog
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed
Eliza Madrigal: learning to share openly and respectifully without shying away from serious or awkward topics...
Eliza Madrigal: PaB is really special in this, I've always felt
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Eliza Madrigal: we seem to share that intention?
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Agatha Macbeth: No egos or personal agendas...
Maxine Walden: agree, Agatha, getting beyond personal agendas, not being trapped by such
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm, nods
    Eos Amaterasu is Online
Eliza Madrigal: so fundraising and nurturing the community in this way can teach us a lot, individually and collectively
    Agatha Macbeth: Good

    Un-logged sessions...

Eliza Madrigal: Ah, one other thing to bring up, which rather ties into this topic in a way too...
Eliza Madrigal: Darren's recent email mentioned concerns about logging, etc. which inspired some to suggest
Eliza Madrigal: a kind of unlogged session day
Eliza Madrigal: a sabbath of sorts
    Maxine Walden: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: interesting
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm, yes
Eliza Madrigal: I guess the idea being that perhaps this might encourage further levels and ways of sharing
    Eliza Madrigal: Thoughts?
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Eos
Bleu Oleander: Yaku's voice session is not logged
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Eos :)
    Maxine Walden: hi, Eos
    Bleu Oleander: hi Eos
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi eos
    Eliza Madrigal: yes, true Bleu
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi all
Agatha Macbeth: It's not possible to log voice tho, is it?
Bleu Oleander: fun to talk in unlogged voice
    Yakuzza Lethecus: you can record
Eliza Madrigal: I've attended Ya's voice session once. What have been your observations about it?
Yakuzza Lethecus: gaya recorded some wok bye the time
Bleu Oleander: feels more personal in a way
Eliza Madrigal: due to voice, or due to not logging?
Yakuzza Lethecus: just use a simple tool like the waverec and record the ,,what you hear" device
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Bleu Oleander: adds another layer to personality
Yakuzza Lethecus: for me it simply got more depth and of course the logging issue is a component
Yakuzza Lethecus: i try not to have a second life
Agatha Macbeth: Italy 1-1 New Zealand (Result)
Yakuzza Lethecus: so i share also rl things
    Eliza Madrigal: Thanks Ag :))
    Agatha Macbeth: YW :)
Lucinda Lavender: I have observed that because I type slowly...I express more slowly and that is just a different thing than sharing verbally
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, so you feel that in that session you are able to talk more about personal day-to-day things, moreso than ideas/concepts?
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm, nods Lucinda
Bleu Oleander: you can get a lot of information from sound and tone of voice that is sometimes harding in text
Lucinda Lavender: well...might not have my carffulness engaged as much...
    Agatha Macbeth nods @ Bleu
Lucinda Lavender: right brain might carefulness
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
    Lucinda Lavender: oops
    Object: Touched.
    Lodro Kamala is Offline
Bleu Oleander: however greater exposure for others if logged
Eliza Madrigal: yes so perhaps what we are really beginning to see is that we can have many kinds of sessions and many textures to sharing
Yakuzza Lethecus: or some ppl seem to create alt´s with which they then share parts of their rl personality
Eos Amaterasu: different channels with different constrainsts and opportunities
    Bleu Oleander: yes Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: We talked about this months ago, with regard to inworld SL retreats, but maybe all that's needed is to continue to
Eliza Madrigal: take these kinds of initiatives :)
Agatha Macbeth: How would an inworld retreat work then?
    Bleu Oleander: inworld SL retreats?
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Eliza Madrigal: well, that was a question :)
Eliza Madrigal: Maybe we can talk more about it in weeks to come
Agatha Macbeth: It was supposed to be...:p
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeah, sure
Eliza Madrigal: Adams and I did an experiment once, while others were at RL retreat in California
    Lucinda Lavender: meditation?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, we took the theme of 'letting go' and met outside of meeting times to have some silence and then some considering
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, interesting
Eliza Madrigal: It was neat to try a kind of parallel retreat overlap :)
Lucinda Lavender: I can imagine it would add to ones experience to try it...
Bleu Oleander: maybe we could have a parallel session during all the rl retreats
Maxine Walden: Afraid I have to go. Nice to see everyone. See you again soon
    Eos Amaterasu: Ciao!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye max
    Maxine Walden: bye all
Agatha Macbeth: Bye for now Max, TC
Eliza Madrigal: Great to have you back, Maxine. Thanks!
    Bleu Oleander: bye Maxine
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye for now
Lucinda Lavender: yes Maxine thanks again...

    Inworld retreats and SL environments...

Eliza Madrigal: Yes Bleu, something to consider... they might enrich each other
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye everyone
Eos Amaterasu: Maybe create a woodsy environment to mirror Windhorse Farm environment
    Eliza Madrigal: YES! :D
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
    Lucinda Lavender: like that!
Bleu Oleander: where we would "travel" to a different environment
    Bleu Oleander: yes, Eos
Agatha Macbeth: We could ask storm to build us a farmhouse ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: right... really make the most of the potential of SL
    Eliza Madrigal: Oooohhhh Agatha
Bleu Oleander: there are a lot of beautiful locationis in sl
    Agatha Macbeth: yep
Eos Amaterasu: (Already have some artwork for farmhouse from the Malta mediation farmhouse)
Eliza Madrigal: yes... hm, and maybe find a cliff side to eat ice cream on
Lucinda Lavender: I hear there are chickens available in 2L
    Bleu Oleander: should explore them
    Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, I'm smiling. Fun ideas
Eliza Madrigal: I need to go though :))
    Agatha Macbeth: All wonderful ideas!
    Lucinda Lavender: me too
    Eos Amaterasu: Bye!
Agatha Macbeth: Ok, c ya Liz
Bleu Oleander: I need to go too .... bye all :)
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks so much everyone! Bye for now
Agatha Macbeth: Bye for now everyone, take care
    Eos Amaterasu: Ciao ciao
Eliza Madrigal: wow, great dress Agatha!
    Bleu Oleander: bye
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye:))
