    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Eliza
Eden Haiku: Good morning Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Eden! Hi Bruce!
Eliza Madrigal: how are you both?
Eden Haiku: Good good, and you Eliza ?
Bruce Mowbray: excellent, thank you. And thou?
Eliza Madrigal: well, thanks... starting to feel better after days of flu
    Eden Haiku: Hey Yaku!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey eden, everyone
Eliza Madrigal: next year I'll get my shot :)
    Eden Haiku: ;)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Steve, Yaku :)
Eden Haiku: Steve is always fluffy! Hi Steve:)
    Eliza Madrigal: fluffy steve... hehehe
stevenaia Michinaga: smiles, pretenting it's not winter
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, steve. Hey, Yaku.
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Maxine :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Maxine.
Eden Haiku: Ah, yes, you would be freezing in that attire in RL Steve. Cold here too these days,
Maxine Walden: hi, Eliza and all
    Eden Haiku: Hello Maxine!
stevenaia Michinaga: I like your jacket
Eliza Madrigal: Is it just me, or does this winter seem to be affecting people more than usual?
    stevenaia Michinaga: hmm.. floating
    Eden Haiku: ;)
    Maxine Walden: Hi,Bruce,Eden, Steve
Eliza Madrigal: guess it is just me :)

Eden Haiku: Before we start, I would like to share something.
    Eliza Madrigal: /me listens
Eden Haiku: About Art of being project.
Eden Haiku: I tried to experiment in creating a male alternate,.
Eden Haiku: Took him to two sessions in the last weeks, Eos and another one about the SL retreats.
Eden Haiku: And I felt ill at ease about that,
Bruce Mowbray: I do empathize with that, Eden.
Eden Haiku: So I just want to get this off my chest, His name is Wilfrid.
Bruce Mowbray: I felt the sme way about having a female Av.
    Eliza Madrigal: (Hi Arch)
    Eliza Madrigal: Thank you Eden
Eden Haiku: But I suppoose he will stay in slumberland:)
    Eden Haiku: Thanks :)
Maxine Walden: interesting Eden and Bruce:)
Eliza Madrigal: This may be an important place of discovery, exactly what was in mind by the project
stevenaia Michinaga: can you explain, Eden
Eden Haiku: It was not about being a male I think, more about being "undercover", felt like cheating.
    Eliza Madrigal: /me nods
Maxine Walden: hmm, as if half or more hidden
Eden Haiku: I could do as Liza does with Darren I suppose but that"s too complicated.
Archmage Atlantis: Many are called, few are chosen
Bruce Mowbray: well, there is always the potential for "under-cover" stuff in SL (thinking of IM's)...
stevenaia Michinaga: Isn't Eden cheating RL Eden?
Eden Haiku: I'm attached to Eden, obvioulsy. Though Wilfrid had a nose ring to give a hint to Yaku :)
    Eliza Madrigal: /me smiles
    Maxine Walden: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: (Hi Luci)
    Lucinda Lavender: HI Eliza:)

Maxine Walden: When we are so open with each other,so disclosing of our emotions, it would feel complex to have an alt which felt undercover

Eden Haiku: Yes, Eden is cheating Eden, but not so much anymore. I put my 1st life in her profile now.
Bruce Mowbray: /me thinks that deeply immersing ourselves in our avi's might be a form of hypnotism . . . (not a bad thing, just something with a lot of emotional investment).
Eliza Madrigal: /me nods @ Maxine
Eden Haiku: Yes, exactly Maxine. One emotional life is quite enough :)
stevenaia Michinaga: I felt the same way until I put my RL profile in mine too
    Maxine Walden: :)
Eliza Madrigal: maybe there feels to be a contradiction between being more open in life and secretive as an aspect
Archmage Atlantis: I see you have the monkey, LUcinda
Bruce Mowbray: /me runs off to get coffee. . . (RL). . . brb.
Eliza Madrigal: there are many ways to explore SL and for some they really are switching selves, in a sense, when they move from one appearance to another...
    Lucinda Lavender: yes arch
Eliza Madrigal: I've aspired to see how that feels but haven't quite
Eden Haiku: At the same time, we need anchors.
Eliza Madrigal: shedding one context and skin when moving to another
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: hmmm anchors
Archmage Atlantis: monkeys are not good at being quiet, or not expressing what they need
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: interesting observation Arch
Eliza Madrigal: is it just in pab as a kind of home base, that you feel that eden?
Bruce Mowbray: Oh, HI, Luci -- Didn't see you down there.
    Lucinda Lavender: HI Bruce:)
Eden Haiku: Well, I do not go other places anymore, so yes it's only here.
Archmage Atlantis: Down there.......thought this was part of the lodge
Maxine Walden: (see I also wrote 'hi lucy,' but not yet sent it)
Eliza Madrigal: I guess I wonder if another friend got to know your alt, as their alt, might there be more room?
Lucinda Lavender: I find in reading the logs that lots of things are not visible here but visible later...if you know what I mean
    Eliza Madrigal: /me smiles
Maxine Walden: think I know, Lucy :)
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Maxine, Eden
    Eden Haiku: HI Lucinda.

stevenaia Michinaga: I have been back and forth between the sexes and feel genuine and whole, few secrets, notices few diferenced between how I was reacted too except it seems I dress better now

Lucinda Lavender: must go to get the glasses...brb
Eden Haiku: I told my few remaining friends about Wilfrid and they gave him clothes :)
    Maxine Walden: dress better, Steve
    Maxine Walden: ?
    stevenaia Michinaga: better dresses
    Maxine Walden: ah :)
Archmage Atlantis: You are a dominant person Steve. imo, my mother was also
Eden Haiku: I suppose so Steve :)
Eliza Madrigal: my issue with alts is fluidity
    Eden Haiku: *about better dresses
    Lucinda Lavender: back now:)
Eliza Madrigal: I don't quite feel them naturally the way I do eliza
Eliza Madrigal: I feel clunky as a guy :)
    Eliza Madrigal: which is distracting
Eden Haiku: I like Lila Darkmatter very much. She's a dark cousin of yours :)
Archmage Atlantis: I like being clunky
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Archmage Atlantis: I like being a protector
Eliza Madrigal: yes, I like Lila too... don't feel like I know her too well maybe...
Archmage Atlantis: I like fighting and winning
Lucinda Lavender: you mean of Koya?
Eden Haiku: I'm comfortable with my twin Rrose, because I was open about her I guess
Archmage Atlantis: I like when both sides become safe

Eliza Madrigal: interesting, yes @ Eden
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps it is a matter of time investment... time looking through a view
Archmage Atlantis: Koya watches, decides, and report to others
Eden Haiku: Both sides becomee safe Arch?
    Archmage Atlantis: Yes, Eden
Eden Haiku: Koya's purring so nicely when you zoom on him!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: females can be ferocious protectors, too...
Eden Haiku: What do you mean Arch, by the 2 sides?
Archmage Atlantis: I will need a bit to let the question pass though
    Archmage Atlantis: Please go on

    Eliza Madrigal: Okay...
Eliza Madrigal: Are there guardian topics to discuss? Alt as Being is a topic for sure... are there others on the tip of our minds?
Eliza Madrigal: Sharon and I are slated to discuss APAPB tomorrow night... I guess that's one news item :)
Eliza Madrigal: but we are holding it lightly, not informing really :)

stevenaia Michinaga: things seem to be more ontrack recently :)

Eliza Madrigal: do they Steve? How so?
    Eden Haiku: ;)
stevenaia Michinaga: the flow of the session, lightly structured
Lucinda Lavender: I noticed that too steve
    Eliza Madrigal: ah, nods
stevenaia Michinaga: oppurtunity for focus discussion through initial circle of conversations

Bruce Mowbray: /me wonders if we are talking about "values" that guide our behaviors in SL - or about "preferences" that guide our behaviors. . . Am thinking that it might be a "value" thing. . . sometimes.
stevenaia Michinaga: give a moment to listen

Eliza Madrigal: funny how we've talked about focus so many times but this time it seems like most are bringing it up in a personal way and sort of going with it
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed Bruce

Eden Haiku: In a recent email Pema suggested a new focus for this week Being sessions (just going around the circle once) and: (quoting him ) " What does it mean for you, concretely, to try to briefly drop
what you have (in terms of identifications, beliefs, whatever you normally rely on) and to be naked of any reference points, for at least a short while? How does that feel? Could that tell you anything about what you/we really are?

Bruce Mowbray: sry to interrupt the "agenda" part of the meeting. . . On with our topics, please.
stevenaia Michinaga: values vs preferences,, could you explan
Eliza Madrigal: yes appreciate his elaborations...
Bruce Mowbray: yes, but don't wish to interrupt our business, if we need to do that.
Maxine Walden: yes, Eden, saw that and will be carrying that suggestion forward in my session today 1pm
    stevenaia Michinaga: smiles
Eden Haiku: No Bruce, that's fine...
Eliza Madrigal: :) we can do both, then sometimes they sort of show up together...
stevenaia Michinaga: it was an interesting session last night w/ Pema's direction
Bruce Mowbray: ok -- well, for me, a VALUE is something that I maintain as part of my self-worth -- my empathy for myself.
Bruce Mowbray: It is of a "higher" order than mere preferences. . .
Bruce Mowbray: and, also for me, a PREFERENCE is something that comes and goes. . . like changing shirts in SL.
Bruce Mowbray: or deciding whether to have veggies or salad. . .
    Eliza Madrigal: Nice distinction!
Eden Haiku: Haven't read it yest Steve. here it is : http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Chat_Logs/2011/01/2011.01.15_19:00_-_Another_Circle_of_Being
Lucinda Lavender: was going to say the same...
Bruce Mowbray: It seems most important to know what one's values are. . . and less important to know one's preferences.
stevenaia Michinaga: so preferences are valued values :)
    Eden Haiku: ;)
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes it is easy to pigeon hole others into preferences they've expressed too I guess

Eliza Madrigal: re the sessions focus, one thing I love about the one-at-a time is something Eden pointed out, that I also noticed strongly in the SL retreat, one hears individual voices SO much more clearly that way

Archmage Atlantis: So, Eliza, are you brave enough to tell me which pigeon hole I am in?
Bruce Mowbray: To give empathy to yourself or to others means (partly) to respect their values (whether or not you share them).
Eliza Madrigal: /me smiles. YOU often defy pigeon holes for me Arch..heheh
Eden Haiku: Oh yes Eliza! Much easier to really hear someone...
Eliza Madrigal: try as I may :)
Archmage Atlantis: Likes that answer *g*
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: Hmmm, likes the log format for the circle of opinions
Archmage Atlantis: Now apply it to everyone.
Eden Haiku: For me you are an archmage of Atlantis Arch, such a wonderful name you have! It tells a lot about you!
Eden Haiku: Yes Steve, one of the side benefits, much much more easier to edit the log!
Eliza Madrigal: my ideas are constantly turned upside down...for instance I'd given up on chats being other than mosaic style sharing....
Lucinda Lavender: arch I am wondering tho what *g* refers to...
Eliza Madrigal: and I like that style obviously, but I like this one at a time, too
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Eos :)
Archmage Atlantis: *g* is shorthanded type for grins
Eos Amaterasu: wow - used an old LM, and perfect landing :-)
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Eos.
    Lucinda Lavender: ok:)
Eliza Madrigal: spot was waiting for you Eos
    Lucinda Lavender: thought maybe god:)
Eden Haiku: Yes Eliza, I like the mosaic style a lot too. WE discover much more through mosaic I think. But then it,s nice to try this style of focus for a few weeks :)
    Eos Amaterasu: (sorry I"m late)
Lucinda Lavender: but it did not make sense
    Eden Haiku: Hello Eos:)
    Maxine Walden: hi,
    Maxine Walden: Eos
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Eos
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi eos
Eliza Madrigal: some of us I think are very well suited to mosaic thinking, but perhaps the one at a time, sometimes, makes room for those who approach things another way
Eos Amaterasu: Hi Eden :-), also Yaku, Maxine, Eliza, Bruce, stevenenaia
Archmage Atlantis: actually, Lucinda, it does.......god, or God, is the unknown.......to grin back says I see the joke
Eliza Madrigal: and forces popcorns like Eliza to be quiet for longer stretches :)
Eden Haiku: Yes Eliza, I felt that too.
Eden Haiku: keeps me quiet too :)
Eden Haiku: Popcorns Eliza and Eden :)

Eliza Madrigal: we've always said we wanted lots of different kinds of sessions, maybe now we're entering into that
Eliza Madrigal: /me giggles @ Eden
Maxine Walden: :)) had not thought of either of you that way
    Eliza Madrigal: dear Maxine :)
    Maxine Walden: :)
Eden Haiku: You open a door here Eliza. It would be nice to experiment with different styles of sessions yes...unfathomed yet...

Lucinda Lavender: in the evening lately there has been some poetry forming...
Eden Haiku: You are very kind Maxine :)
Eliza Madrigal: Nice, Luci... yes I read one session...
    Rinpoche Resident: Sorry Ive interputed.
    Eliza Madrigal: really lovely

Eliza Madrigal: Hello R, I'll IM you about the group :) [here i went afk to talk to an interesting visitor who was stuck in the village hall wall for a while but will visit a session soon I hope]

Lucinda Lavender: welllI find I am not able to sustain the depth from one day to another...
Lucinda Lavender: one time it feels very deep and another harder to access
Lucinda Lavender: also I vary from wanting to be circular and random
    stevenaia Michinaga: ?
    stevenaia Michinaga: sorry, was stuck
Eden Haiku: Eliza you said something about the wisdom of "counterclockwise" relating to nautilus, ADN and so on. I googled it but didn't find much. Care to say more about that ?
    Eos Amaterasu: ADN?
Eliza Madrigal: Hi, it falls under the 'preference' category I think
Eliza Madrigal: (sorry was in IM)
Lucinda Lavender: welll...in dream circle we go counter because the teacher was taught that way...
Lucinda Lavender: it has a relation to viewing the galactic motion in the same way...
Eos Amaterasu: which way are stupas cicumambulated (out of curiousity)?
Bruce Mowbray: /me what would the motion be if viewed from beneath?
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)

Lucinda Lavender: tho I completely see that one could put themself in a different position and view it differently

Eden Haiku: As I use mnemotechnics with clockwise movement, I have a strong preference for clockwise but I was wondering what Eliza had meant by that.
Archmage Atlantis: That's easy Bruce.....it's turtles all the way down
    Lucinda Lavender: right Bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Lucinda Lavender: so I am just trained in counterclockwise
Eos Amaterasu: do turtles drain clockwise or anti?
Eden Haiku: clockwise for stupas I think Eos...Temples clockwise...
Eliza Madrigal: well to be honest, I 'see' the number 9 or a nautilus as a counter spiral but it is either
Bruce Mowbray: Blub is also trained in counter ---
Eliza Madrigal: so one way feels more natural... totally aesthetic
Lucinda Lavender: sometimes I think it wone out because it is seen as feminine
Eos Amaterasu: which point do you start drawing the 9 from?
    Eliza Madrigal: exactly
    Eliza Madrigal: matters not really
    Eos Amaterasu: ok, I see
Eos Amaterasu: why do nautiluses do that?
    Lucinda Lavender: interesting blub...
Bruce Mowbray: In Shambhala tradition, walking meditation is always clockwise.
Eos Amaterasu: (looking down from the top)
Eden Haiku: In Tibetan temples also
Bruce Mowbray: yeppers -- from the top.
stevenaia Michinaga: in all these, I think the clock came later :)
Eos Amaterasu: /me hates late clocks
Eden Haiku: Clock was molded after them :))
Bruce Mowbray: /me ponders training all his clocks to go counter---
    Eden Haiku: hehe
Eos Amaterasu: perhaps we should sit in spiral staircase arrangement
Lucinda Lavender: that would be fun!

Eliza Madrigal: for me for some reason, the counter clockwise feels more fluid.... maybe it undoes my usual thinking

    Bruce Mowbray: How about double-helix?

Lucinda Lavender: yes...there you go Eliza
    Eos Amaterasu: very intimate
stevenaia Michinaga: hehe, good luck with that storm
Eden Haiku: Why keep it simple when we can make it more complicated :)))
    Eliza Madrigal: /me giggles
Eden Haiku: whispers: just discovered she can whisper
Eos Amaterasu: it should be flippable, from clock to anti spiral, and then to combine into double helix
Eos Amaterasu: can't hear you, Eden
stevenaia Michinaga: like sunflowers, which have a balance of clockwise and counterclockwise spirals
Eliza Madrigal: hahahaha yes I'm sure that will be fun to explain to newcomers @ Eos
Eden Haiku: Do you see "whisper" or " chuchote"
Lucinda Lavender: I have a how interesting the balance of spirals
Eos Amaterasu: that's probably a good arrangement for the Guardian Hall, the sunflower
Coffee Mug: whispers: Ahh! Fresh Hot Coffee
Maxine Walden: afraid I have to leave, RL stuff just tugging at my sleeve. See you all later. (will just slip out)
Eden Haiku: LOL Eliza, explaining to newcomers will be REAL FUN!
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye Maxine
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks Maxine see yo later
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye maxine
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Maxine.
    Eliza Madrigal: *you
    Eden Haiku: Bye Maxine,
    Eos Amaterasu: bye max
Eliza Madrigal: (funny that in viewer 2 it said "Coffee mug and maxine walden have said something new")

Archmage Atlantis: ty mug .... does no one see?.....there is no answer, nothing is always correct

Eos Amaterasu: she has strange friends
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: coffee is my friend too
    Eos Amaterasu: /me perks up
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks Arch, yes no formulas
stevenaia Michinaga: I must be off, have a good day
Eliza Madrigal: being able and willing to drop attachments to preferences :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye steve
    Eos Amaterasu: bye stevenaia
Bruce Mowbray: Coffee mug has a mind of its own -- and also a mug of its own.
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Steve :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye everyone
    Eden Haiku: Bye Steve!
    Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye Steve.
Eliza Madrigal: (Bye lightning fast yaku)
Eden Haiku: Have to go too, have a nice day everyone:)
    Eos Amaterasu: Bye Eden
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Eden, thanks
    Lucinda Lavender: bye Eden:)

Eos Amaterasu: any momentous decisions before I arrived?
Bruce Mowbray: Does anyone know if we are supposed to make any BIG decisions here today?

Eliza Madrigal: yes, you messed everything up Eos
    Eliza Madrigal: heheheh
    Eos Amaterasu: hah haha
Eliza Madrigal: we were just about to make some
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Archmage Atlantis: Well, maybe this end of the lodge will make the picture some day........being an ocean calls for oceanic thoughts
Eos Amaterasu: /me listens to the ocean
Eliza Madrigal: we discussed the alts project a bit, and the structure... and that maxine will continue the theme....
Eliza Madrigal: and that sharon and I will have a light theme tomorrow night
    Eliza Madrigal: on APAPB
Eos Amaterasu: oh, the 4x theme sessions
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Eos Amaterasu: oh APAPB
    Bruce Mowbray: bye, arch.
Eos Amaterasu: That's Monday night, right
Bruce Mowbray: OK, cool. Anything else?
Eliza Madrigal: seems that is it for now... lots going on, and poetry sessions emerging on their own too....

Eliza Madrigal: The time session is pretty active and interesting too

Eos Amaterasu: Yeah, want to catch up on that a bit too
Eliza Madrigal: we didn't discuss retreats or scribes or anything like that...
Bruce Mowbray: also some fast and penetrating discussions happening in the emails.
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: enjoy the emails
Bruce Mowbray: want to talk about retreats, then?
Eliza Madrigal: though I don't try to keep up with every thing ... impossible'
Lucinda Lavender: I find it hard to keep up too
Bruce Mowbray: Didn't someone suggest that SL retreats be held regularly? Maybe once a month, perhaps?

Eos Amaterasu: Bruce, what would be your suggestion for a next SL retreat?
Eliza Madrigal: I think that's a good idea
    Eliza Madrigal: /me listens
Bruce Mowbray: Well, there's is a pretty heated discussion going on right now in the emails. . . that, I think, might lend itself to a in-world retreat. . .
Bruce Mowbray: but it would need to be carefully structured..
    Eliza Madrigal: interesting
Bruce Mowbray: so that everyone felt free to participate . . .
Bruce Mowbray: no judgments or labels, or better-than-thou's. . . ;-)
    Eos Amaterasu: the open dojo
Eliza Madrigal: I was thinking that 'benefit of the doubt' is something we haven't touched on in a while...
Eliza Madrigal: no critquing of sharing
    Lucinda Lavender: ah
Bruce Mowbray: Good, Maxine -- we could go there.

Eliza Madrigal: there is some sort of something that we need to all feel free to bring our own way of expressing things and make room for others too... guess that is about preferences again?
Eos Amaterasu: no critiquing and also no confirming
    Eliza Madrigal: say more?
Bruce Mowbray: Actually, I feel that it's more about values -- respecting the other's viewpoint is a value.
Lucinda Lavender: keep coming back to there being dominent parts of a person...
Eos Amaterasu: respecting does not equal agreeing with
Eliza Madrigal: yes, but it may be
    Bruce Mowbray: absolutely agree, Eos.
    Lucinda Lavender: honoring
    Eliza Madrigal: /me nods
Bruce Mowbray: Empathy and respect do not imply agreement.
Eliza Madrigal: Steve's tag is about empathy.... total listening
Eos Amaterasu: re "no confirmation", there are subtle ways we have of playing mutual confirmation games
Lucinda Lavender: nice to be reminded of that
    Eliza Madrigal: that's interesting...

Eos and Bruce get down to business and begin to develop the next in-world retreat...

Bruce Mowbray: Seems to me that a "topic" is emerging here. . .
Lucinda Lavender: I sense that too Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: perhaps it deserves a fuller treatment in a theme session (or even in a retreat).
Eos Amaterasu: the other's truth fills you
Lucinda Lavender: we can see and acknowlege others truth
Eliza Madrigal: yes appreciate it all
Eos Amaterasu: Bruce, were you implying you would like an SL retreat this month?
Bruce Mowbray: Due to RL obligations, it would nearly be impossible for me this month . . . but that should not hold others back from it if there's sufficient interest.
Eliza Madrigal: I'm in that boat too :)
Bruce Mowbray: It would be good (for me) to have a retreat at least once every two months, though.
Eliza Madrigal: my feeling is similar.... need a bit of space around retreats
Eliza Madrigal: but also want to make opportunities available
Bruce Mowbray: Each one could have a different part of the week or day - or weekend . . and different lengths of sessions. . .
Bruce Mowbray: both to accommodate different needs -
Bruce Mowbray: and to explore different ways of doing retreats in-world.
    Eliza Madrigal: brb
Eos Amaterasu: A weekend retreat might be a good one to do in March February
Eos Amaterasu: and anytime some group of guardians wanted to self-organize to do a one-day retreat, why not
Bruce Mowbray: I'm cool with that. . . when would we need to begin planning for a retreat that is two months away?
Lucinda Lavender: how much time might it take...?
Lucinda Lavender: I meant the retreat itself...
Eos Amaterasu: Maybe the key thing is to have a retreat coordinator for a retreat, through whom all the details are worked out
Bruce Mowbray: Is there some way to do a poll in PaB -- so that all potential participants could get their preferences tallied?
Bruce Mowbray: and then decisions could be made about days of the week, etc.
Eos Amaterasu: other than the pab google group - maybe...
Bruce Mowbray: I know that some blogs and wikis have actually "ballots" on which folks express their opinions. . .
Lucinda Lavender: LL visualizes a big white board with everyones name
Bruce Mowbray: so maybe something like that. . . so we could figure out what works best for folks.
Eos Amaterasu: Yeah, Fael or Calvino would be best re asking about that re our own wiki
    Bruce Mowbray: Hmmmmm. . .
Bruce Mowbray: /me ponders the possibilities. . . and the format.
    Eos Amaterasu: survey monkey
Bruce Mowbray: So, as I understand it, there is no actual in-world retreat planned for the near future?
Eos Amaterasu: there is the intention, but no realization of it
Bruce Mowbray: nothing scheduled, I mean.
    Bruce Mowbray: OK. ty.
Eos Amaterasu: but for example, weekend of Feb 11-13
Bruce Mowbray: OK. . . cool. How about that weekend?
Eos Amaterasu: need a retreat coordinator
Eos Amaterasu: /me wonders if Sophia Sharon could do that - she had built the retreat skybox, but could not attend except on weekends
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi back....
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
Bruce Mowbray: I would happily share that responsibility with someone --- but have never done it before.
Eliza Madrigal: Think Sharon is quite swamped lately actually....
Eliza Madrigal: but a net thrown out would be good
Eos Amaterasu: ah great! thank you Bruce
Eos Amaterasu: Plus you're an SL retreat veteran :-)
Bruce Mowbray: Could we use the same skybox retreat area that we used last time?
Eos Amaterasu: sure - that's why it's there!
    Eliza Madrigal: :D

I didn't see this line beforehand so Bruce and Lucinda poofing surprised me...

Eos Amaterasu: We could go there now :-)
Bruce Mowbray: Great! That seemed like a perfect setting for us.
Bruce Mowbray: OK -- let's do!
    Eliza Madrigal: it was wonderful
Eos Amaterasu: Everyone have the TP?
Lucinda Lavender: I was unable to attend
Lucinda Lavender: need one I think
Eos Amaterasu: I gave you a landmark, Luci
Eliza Madrigal: it really would be excellent if there were retreats ongoing with various coordinators
Eliza Madrigal: hah, maybe that's where they went
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
    Eos Amaterasu: c u there
    Eliza Madrigal: ok
Eliza Madrigal: you can tell she really enjoyed building this
Bruce Mowbray: This is going to play havos with the auto-logger, I'm afraid.
Eos Amaterasu: /me hears the same bird here as in RL
    Bruce Mowbray: havoc.
Eliza Madrigal: <--auto logger for guardian sessions
Bruce Mowbray: Have you all been here before?
Eos Amaterasu: you can't fly here
Lucinda Lavender: oops I have once
    Lucinda Lavender: been here
Bruce Mowbray: The circle inside is beautiful -- and there's a nice campfire also.

Bruce turns to the inner circle and Eliza and Lucinda jump into the grass up to our ears. Eliza gets stuck for a while...

    Eliza Madrigal: quickgrass
    Lucinda Lavender: :)))
Bruce Mowbray: should have warned you, Luci.
    Eos Amaterasu: Dante-esque
Eliza Madrigal: now that is a friend, heheh
    Lucinda Lavender: hee hee
Lucinda Lavender: swimming in the ground
    Eliza Madrigal: spa treatment
Eos Amaterasu: the equivalent of a moat

Eos Amaterasu: Bruce, when would be the beginning and ending times of a weekend retreat
Eliza Madrigal: i can't fly well anymore... viewer 2 bothers me
Eos Amaterasu: might have to tp
    Eos Amaterasu: want a hand?
    Eliza Madrigal: yes please
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
Eliza Madrigal: haha, looking for landmark....
Eliza Madrigal: this makes me think of the story I heard in West Wing... about knowing the way out:

"This guy's walking down the street when he falls in a hole. The walls are so steep he can't get out.
"A doctor passes by and the guy shouts up, 'Hey you. Can you help me out?' The doctor writes a prescription, throws it down in the hole and moves on.
"Then a priest comes along and the guy shouts up, 'Father, I'm down in this hole can you help me out?' The priest writes out a prayer, throws it down in the hole and moves on
"Then a friend walks by, 'Hey, Joe, it's me can you help me out?' And the friend jumps in the hole. Our guy says, 'Are you stupid? Now we're both down here.' The friend says, 'Yeah, but I've been down here before and I know the way out.'"

Eos Amaterasu: actually you could jump and go forward....
    Eliza Madrigal: whew

We escape and return to the circle...

Lucinda Lavender: curious about the session times
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Eliza.
Lucinda Lavender: how possible would it be...
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, that would need to be decided.
Eliza Madrigal: Hi, Bruce, Lucinda, Eos :)
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Eliza:)
Eos Amaterasu: I think I was out of chat range, Bruce
Eliza Madrigal: this is the special green pillow... just a little 'off' sometimes... hehe
Lucinda Lavender: off in what sense?
Bruce Mowbray: OK, Eos -- I just said:
Bruce Mowbray: Bruce looks inside at the circle and fine memories return to him.
[09:24] Bruce: no quick-grass in here (ha ha)
[09:25] Bruce: So - - I will try to find someone who has the time and interest in co-coordinating a retreat for February, then.
[09:25] Bruce: Seems to me that the first thing would be polling folks to get a calendar slot for it.
[09:26] Bruce: and the number of sessions per day - and their length. etc.
Bruce Mowbray: I think that the green pillow might be for tinies.
    Lucinda Lavender: I see:)
Eliza Madrigal: was the 9nth pilla
    Bruce Mowbray: not sure, though.
    Eliza Madrigal: *pillow
Bruce Mowbray: Oh yes... the Nine-Headed Being.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: /me smiles
Eliza Madrigal: I'd better go... can I leave this part on the log, is that okay with everyone?
Eliza Madrigal: then I'll just make a 'to be continued' note?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes me too:)
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, please leave it on the log -- and I will get a dialogue going about when to have the next in-world retreat.
Eos Amaterasu: Yes, that would be fine
Bruce Mowbray: THANKS, to all of you.
    Eliza Madrigal: THANKS SO MUCH!
Eos Amaterasu: thanks, Bruce, and Eliza, Lucinda
Lucinda Lavender: good day to all and look forward to try retreat...
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye for now.
Bruce Mowbray: Have a great day, everyone.
Eliza Madrigal: very much so, thanks bye for now

Sharon, we enjoyed ourselves so much, again appreciating your work and and obvious enjoyment of building the place! THANK YOU!

Fixed the hole (a phantom prim, oopsie), added pillow, and a new waterfall that you will love!! Was a freebie and was less prims, low lag, yay!

sorry, could not make meeting, was just up too late with a great night of Rock-n-Roll.
    Laughed so hard at quickgrass.
BUT, I too am having serious Alt (for Art's sake) issues.
Not just being an alt of very different RL ... (what is the word), but the cheating, lying, spying, otherness of being another av.
I have been through feelings of that cheating and lying to my dearest friends that have been there for me and supported my craziness's.
Then, oh then, oh something has happened.
What Bleu maybe was pushing us into happened.
    My Alts became.
There is hope. Your's can too.
Long story shortened, we had a meeting and they all become themselves during that meeting. Then some of them went to sessions that were (almost) better then has happened. Probably, because the Alt was what other's could chat with and were more open with (twice).
    - May we step outside and feel the light
