    Bleu: hi all again :)
Adams Rubble: yes, hello again :)
    Zen: Hi all :)
Agatha Macbeth: Hello Bleu how's your day been ? [grin]
    Xirana: hello again:)
Adams Rubble: It's been a long time since we met
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed
    Xirana: yes:))
Bleu: my day is still very young Aggers :)
    Agatha Macbeth: I can imagine...
Agatha Macbeth: and warm too I'll bet
Tea ~ Earl Grey whispers: Aahhh, nothing beats a good cuppa
Bleu goes for a second cup of coffee ... sticks hand out window .. yup .. warm :)
    Agatha Macbeth: wb Liz
    Bleu: hi Eliza wb
    Xirana: hi Eliza:)
Eliza: Hi Everyone! Apologies for clumsy landings... on diff computer - trouble for some reason this morning
Irish Tea whispers: Ahh tea, irish whiskey and cream....oh ya...now this is good, Agatha Macbeth.  You know they say that God invented whiskey so the Irish would not take over the world.  Well this is a fine way to serve it.
Agatha Macbeth: I know the problem :(

Eliza: what a wonderful theme session this morning, happy to have made it
Eliza: I guess we can wait a bit before deciding on the theme for not this week but next, but Adams how would you frame this week's theme to carry through other sessions?
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Aph :)
    Bleu: hiya Aph :)
    Eliza: Hi Aphrodite
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hello all!
Aphrodite Macbain: Sorry I missed your session Adams
Bleu: what is the theme for this week?
Tea ~ Earl Grey whispers: Aahhh, nothing beats a good cuppa
Eliza: we've just finished a lovely theme session about finding inspiration in our own traditions.. Adams may be away atm

    Theme Session postedhttp://wiki.playasbeing.org/index.php?title=Chat_Logs/2012/04/2012.04.29_07:00_-_Theme_Session:_Using_One%27s_Own_Tradition_as_a_Resource

Aphrodite Macbain: I think that might be a very interesting theme for the week
Eliza: Bleu, want to give us a reminder about Art of Being, then we'll come back to themes? :)
    Adams Rubble: Hello Aphrodite. np
Bleu: sure, Art of Being in Motion
    Zen: Hi Aph
    Aphrodite Macbain: waves at Zen
Adams Rubble will be in and our with apologies
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Steve
Bleu: perhaps related to this mornings theme session?
    Adams Rubble: Hello Steve
    Eliza: Hi Stevie
    Bleu: spiritual motion?
Eliza: how so Bleu? interesting idea
    Aphrodite Macbain: waves at Stevenaia
    Bleu: moving through various traditions
    Eliza: integration as motion, fascinating
Xirana: I go now... I'll read th log later:) nice day to all:)
Eliza: Bye Xirana, thanks, nice to see you
Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear, bye Xira
Bleu: many ways to interpret this theme
    Xirana: bye bye:)
    Bleu: bye Xirana
    Zen: bye Xiri
stevenaia Michinaga: waves, sorry having problems finding a seat that will let me sit
    Eliza: integration and transcendence
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
    Zen: Hi Steve

    Workshop...

Aphrodite Macbain: Were we going to have a workshop about motion?
Bleu: perhaps we can explore this theme one week before the project
Bleu: oh yes, sure I'd be happy to do a workshop
Bleu: not this week ... i'll be in NYC
Eliza smiles "a seat that will let me sit" ... maybe like a 'room of one's own'
stevenaia Michinaga: I'm working on a collaboration piece on Motion
Aphrodite Macbain: I would love to learn something new....
    stevenaia Michinaga: really Bleu?
Aphrodite Macbain: can you tell us a bit about it?
    Bleu: really!
    stevenaia Michinaga: smiles
    Eliza: :))
    Aphrodite Macbain: Stevenaia
Bleu: I'm taking my group of 20 peeps to NYC
    Bleu: so big job
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
Aphrodite Macbain: you will be very busy
Bleu: but could do a workshop following week?
Bruce quickly turns green with envy.
    Aphrodite Macbain: but having fun
stevenaia Michinaga: I am working with an old friend on it, she is not a guardian but intoduced Pema to me (4+ years ago)
stevenaia Michinaga: a very good builder
    Aphrodite Macbain: listens
Aphrodite Macbain: how will it involve motion Steve?
Eliza: lovely idea Stevie and looks forward to hearing about Bleu's meetings
    stevenaia Michinaga: not sure yet
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: k
stevenaia Michinaga: but she hopfully can implement the impossible
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    Eliza grins

Aphrodite Macbain: I was thinking about doing something that relates to change...
    Bleu: sounds fun steve!
    Bleu: change = motion
Agatha Macbeth: The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes time
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes Bleu
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps with imbeded movies
    Bleu: nice
Aphrodite Macbain would love to learn how to embed a movie
    Bleu: moving frames
    Eliza: :)

stevenaia Michinaga: hehe, I would rather collablorate than learn :)
    Bleu: steve!
Aphrodite Macbain: you can do both!
Agatha Macbeth: Either works for me
Aphrodite Macbain: at the same time
stevenaia Michinaga: I'm sure I will learn something
    Eliza: sharing
Bleu: I learn something from every collaboration :)
    Eliza: :)
Bleu: great way to learn actually
Aphrodite Macbain: "Everything is different ; Nothing has changed"
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, and I collaborate to learn, lessons of a good consultant, take away form a project more than you contribute
    Bleu: exactly
Eliza: 'happiness is never reduced by being shared'

Eliza: Shall we e choose a theme for not this week but next?
Bruce: Does anyone know when we'll be able to build our motion projects in the dome?
    Aphrodite Macbain: smiles at Eliza
    Agatha Macbeth: Maybe it's increased?
Bleu: which week do you mean?
stevenaia Michinaga: I think after the end of may
    Bruce: kk, thanks.
Eliza: well this week Adams has given us an interesting topic, so the week following
Aphrodite Macbain: Build or install Bruce?
    Bruce: Install. I meant.
Eliza: since we meet here every 2 weeks
Aphrodite Macbain: We can always build them on our own plot first
Bleu: oh ok so continue with Adams theme for this week, week of April 30th?
stevenaia Michinaga: just hide them under a blanket
    Eliza nods
Aphrodite Macbain: Yes- has any one had a chance to look through the list of topics?
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes Bleu
Eliza: maybe Adams can clarify but I'd frame it as "finding inspiration in one's own tradition/s"
Bleu: how about motion? to help people see more interpretations?
Aphrodite Macbain: I suppose one could define "traditions"very broadly
Eliza nods, or precisely -- lots of room

Adams Rubble labeling session: "Using One's Own Tradition as a Resource"
    Eliza: Nice!
    Eliza: OK then
Aphrodite Macbain: I would say traditionS - plural
Adams Rubble having formatting problems posting (grrr)
Aphrodite Macbain: since we have more than one
Bleu: how about using many traditions as a resource?
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes
stevenaia Michinaga: or using another's traditions to understand the traditions right under your nose
    Bleu: yes
Aphrodite Macbain: many of our own"
Eliza: :) all of those seem to fit Adams frame
stevenaia Michinaga: what Bleu said (shorter)
Aphrodite Macbain: Using our own traditions as a r esource for life
Eliza: there are people who go deeply into one skill their whole lives... it can be very inspiring
Aphrodite Macbain: I have many traditions within my life- rligious, clothing, cooking ...:-)
Eliza: or one detail of one part of one tradition :) amazing really
Bleu: ... so seems there will be a lot to talk about this week :)
    Eliza: :)

Eliza: So we have "motion" any other suggestions?
    Eliza: (for the following week)
Aphrodite Macbain: Suggested Theme Topics for Discussion at the Pavilion and Elsewhere - posted April 19, 2012
Bleu: sorry, didn't mean to push Art of Being theme :)
Eliza: Xirana and Alfred suggested sex I think, laughs...
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds good to me
Eliza: but motion could encompass that, hah
    Bleu: hahaha!
    Eliza snorts
    Bleu: nice!

Aphrodite Macbain: There are alot of themes listed that relate to motion.
Eliza: that's one thing I am really enjoying... the way topics open into one another
    Xirana is Offline
Aphrodite Macbain: Seasons, Purpose, Stillness, Time
Eliza: ooo 'still ness and motion'
Aphrodite Macbain: these all relate to motion
    Bleu likes that Eliza
    Aphrodite Macbain: Stillness?
Aphrodite Macbain: I like it too
Aphrodite Macbain: That could be our theme for May 7-13
    Zen: impermanance
Eliza: Motion, or Stillness and Motion?

Bleu: one could even think of "stillness" as an interpretation of Art of Being in Motion :)
    Eliza: yes :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: the opposite?
Eliza has imagery of zen rock gardens
    Bleu: of the same?
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes.
Aphrodite Macbain: "What being still means to me"
Aphrodite Macbain: Why stillness is important to me
    Bleu: I like "stillness"
    Aphrodite Macbain: by itself?
    Zen: 'the impossibility of stillness'
Eliza: we can leave it open then... haha...stillnesss goes in many directions
    Bleu: yes
    Aphrodite Macbain: It certainly does!
    Eliza: hah
    Bleu: stillness runs deep
    Aphrodite Macbain: or can
    Eliza: :)
    Zen: still waters...
    Bleu: :)

Aphrodite Macbain: Great- we now have 2 themes for the next 2 weeks!
stevenaia Michinaga: ironic, it shouldn;'t "go" anywhere
    Aphrodite Macbain: smiles

Eliza: Aphrodite, would you or Bruce or Bleu and/or Stevie like to talk a bit about the Creative Commons meeting this week, and what is planned ahead?
    Bleu: is stillness constrained?
    Eliza: good question Bleu!
    Eliza: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: like the center of a vortex
Bleu: WG mtg is May 9, 11:30
    stevenaia Michinaga: sure, a bit
    Bleu: open mtg?
Aphrodite Macbain: oPerhaps Bleu or Stevenaia could...
stevenaia Michinaga: I think it came from the retreat in Nova Scocia
Aphrodite Macbain: the focus will be on what policy we shold have aronund protecting the copyright of the wiki
    stevenaia Michinaga: Scotia
Eliza: It came up in, I think the 2nd round of the WG first, but was tabled
Bleu: or whether we need to change from current copyright policy?
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes Eliza
Eliza: do we have a current policy? :)
    Bleu: yes, by default
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps w/o looking the the leagalese, the discussion should run to our thought on how and if and to what extent the wiki needs protection
Zen: has anything happened to make this necessary?
Aphrodite Macbain: I think we dont have a policy Blue
    Bleu: yes
Eliza: if we do, I am not sure it is generally understood, which seems important
Bleu: by default copyright is to the creator
Aphrodite Macbain: It was raised by Eos
    Bleu: even if not said
Aphrodite Macbain: so we need to decide whether this is OK
Zen: who would want to use it?
    Aphrodite Macbain: quote from it

Eliza: has everyone seen the piece Agatha found a while ago?
stevenaia Michinaga: no current policy ? It is there and whatever protections it has are beyond most of our comprehension
Eliza: I think it is a good ink blot test
    Bleu: also "fair use"
Aphrodite Macbain: use it in research material
    Bruce: http://creativecommons.org/<wbr>choose/</wbr>
<wbr><wbr>Bruce: Here's a page that will help individuals choose which sort of license to get - - or even if we need one:
    stevenaia Michinaga: my thought is......
    Agatha Macbeth: Found what sorry?
Bleu: it's more open than just creative commons
Bleu: reg copyright is what we have now
    Aphrodite Macbain: Steve?
stevenaia Michinaga: If you use it for anything... mention its source
Bleu: also should consider what people have already agreed to

Eliza: 2008.09.30 01:00 - Alternative Detox <-- this is what creative license with the logs may look like
    Eliza giggles
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh that! :D
Agatha Macbeth: Yeh that was so funny
    Aphrodite Macbain: what was?
Eliza: you found that on the web Agatha
    Eliza: ?
    Agatha Macbeth swats Aph
Eliza: "first meeting with this embodiment"
Eliza: "I 've seen that you 've come to our Drama as Beingness type a few times, from the schmooze logs"
Agatha Macbeth: 'The Lucifer's exponent' was my favourite
    Eliza laughs
    Aphrodite Macbain: Grins- it's unintellibible
    Eliza: genius really
Agatha Macbeth loves the schmooze logs
Eliza: but, gives an idea of what could happen :)
Aphrodite Macbain: I 've been touched by somebody I make n't recognise"
Bleu: schmoozing is a noble tradition :)

stevenaia Michinaga: Bleu,. you bring up a good point, what are everyone's expectation of what we have agreed to by putting the logs on the wiki?
Eliza: that is a key question
    stevenaia Michinaga: is there one?
    stevenaia Michinaga: or many
Bleu: all we've ever asked people for is perm to publish on the wiki
    Aphrodite Macbain: I suspect many
Bleu: we've never asked their perm to have others use it
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, a messy begining
Zen: I thought the idea of putting the wiki on the web was to allow anyone to do research?
Aphrodite Macbain: Isuspect some have no idea of why they are printed in the frst place
Bleu: yes, anyone can read the wiki
Aphrodite Macbain: It does makes s look self important
Bleu: but limited as far as using it in their own projects
stevenaia Michinaga: whoever uses it will have their own thoughts on what it is useful for
Zen: You could always restrict it to a password?
Bleu: everyone has copyright on their own words
Aphrodite Macbain: Our pearls of woisdom available for the world to benefit
Bleu: on their own photos, etc

Eliza: I've accepted a certain amount of risk in my own participation, and am pretty personally open
Aphrodite Macbain: What kind of risk Eliza?
stevenaia Michinaga: what risks do you see Eliza
    Aphrodite Macbain: snap
    Eliza: see Agatha's page :)
Aphrodite Macbain: how is that a risk?
stevenaia Michinaga: grumbling about fast(er) typists
Aphrodite Macbain: risk of sounding silly?
    Eliza: sure
    Aphrodite Macbain: not too serious
Bleu: I sent out several links that may clarify some of the options
Eliza: I read back a lot of embarrassing things I've said.... or worse, sounding like I know things I don't
    Eliza: ;-)
stevenaia Michinaga: what if someone finds me certifiably insane based on my comments?
    Eliza: :)
    Bleu: could happen :)
Agatha Macbeth: They will make you a politician Steve
Aphrodite Macbain: We can always remove what we say if we log in.
stevenaia Michinaga: based on my knowing a few psychologist, I agree
    Aphrodite Macbain: laughs at Aggers
    Eliza: there is a context
Eliza: my feeling though, is that openness is its own protection

Bleu: that's also a consideration Eliza
    Bleu: context
Eliza: and years of logging... so the source citing is important
Bleu: and taking quotes out of context
Eliza: and that may be all a CC asks for
Bleu: there are several CC options
stevenaia Michinaga: perhap we can add m layers of "conditions on its use" over time, begin simply
Bleu: some allow for commercial use as well
Eliza: I'd love to see PaBers make projects, but that's just me
stevenaia Michinaga: that way we need only decide one thing at a time
Adams Rubble queasy about commercial use
    stevenaia Michinaga whispers: demand royalties!

stevenaia Michinaga: we will be wealthy beyond our dreams
Bleu: one's SL identity may extend to their RL identity
    Eliza: :) we are stevie
    Zen: (doubts that )
    Eliza: wealthy here
    Adams Rubble laughs toward Steve
stevenaia Michinaga: ok, a penny a word, or a linden
Bleu: we don't know how "wealthy" we are
Aphrodite Macbain: This will all be discussed in the may 9 meeting
    Eliza: precisely
Eliza: glad these things will continue to be discussed
stevenaia Michinaga: was thinking of suport of the Sim
    Bleu checks L$'s in account
Eliza nods Stevie... could fund projects pab related going forward

    Eliza: OK... last item... WG!
    Eliza: What news?
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes?
Aphrodite Macbain: BTW I am no longer co-chair of the WG
    Eliza: Thanks Aph
    Bleu: is Steve new chair?
Aphrodite Macbain: Stevenaia will temporariy replace me
Eliza: So who will lead meetings now? make agendas?
    Eliza: ah
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, thank you for your leadership the past 6 months
Adams Rubble: Thanks for all your work Aphrodite
    Eliza: very much Aphrodite
    Aphrodite Macbain: YW
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay for aph
    Bleu: (((Aph)))
Eliza: PaB is fortunate you are here
stevenaia Michinaga: points to bruce, the new Co-Chair
Aphrodite Macbain: I will continue to attend the meetings when I can however
Eliza: more and more wealth :)
Adams Rubble must run. Nice to see you all. take care :)
    Eliza: Bye Adams, thanks
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye Adams
Bruce: nope _I'm not the new co-chair.
Agatha Macbeth: Run well Adams, take care
Aphrodite Macbain: Brce?? The new co-chair??
    Bruce: nope.
    stevenaia Michinaga: old co-chair?
    Bruce: I'm recording sec.
    Eliza: heheh
Aphrodite Macbain: The new co-chair is Steve.
    Zen: need to go too
    Zen: byee
Aphrodite Macbain: Bruce is the recorder
    Eliza: Bye Zen :)
stevenaia Michinaga: looks around for my co-chair
    Bleu: bye Zen
    Bruce: Steve and Boxy.
    stevenaia Michinaga: rut row
Aphrodite Macbain: the other half is Boxy
Agatha Macbeth: Bye for now Zen
    Eliza: girl and her pup
    Aphrodite Macbain: waves at Zen
    Bleu: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: yeh, boxy
    Eliza: :)

stevenaia Michinaga: so what was the question?

Aphrodite Macbain: You may need to decide upon a different meting time. Boxy seems to have trouble making it at 11:30
Aphrodite Macbain: No question. i was just reminding people I am no longer co-chair
Bleu: 11:30 hard for me also
stevenaia Michinaga: hmmm, hasn't mentioned anything yet
Eliza: the question was whether you wanted to make a pitch for more volunteers or share news here
Eliza: since many read this log
    Eliza: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: He just hasn't come to the last 2 meetings
Bleu: so who is the new WG?
    Bleu: so far
Agatha Macbeth: He was probably asleep :)
Bleu: Steve, Boxy, Bruce, Aph, me?
Aphrodite Macbain: You (:-)) Boxy Steve Bruce and me
    Bleu: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: Storm observes
Bruce: yes, those are the suspects, Bleu.
Aphrodite Macbain: ywes storm observes and joins from time to time
    stevenaia Michinaga: Sam wonders in
Bleu: the meeting are open to all guardians?
Aphrodite Macbain: sam was invited to the last meeting by Bruce I believe
    Bruce: yes, they are open.
    stevenaia Michinaga: they are announced
Eliza: anyone is invited to attend, however the WG can decide to have a closed meeting if necessary to discuss a sensitive topic
stevenaia Michinaga: but as Aph siad, there were no volunteers after the 1st broadcast
Aphrodite Macbain: People are usally invited when they have a particular knowledge or skill set needed for the buuuuuusiness to be addressed
    Eliza: yes
    Aphrodite Macbain: sorry ticky keys
stevenaia Michinaga: as Eos did about the specail copyright session
    Aphrodite Macbain: sticky
Bruce: such as Eos at our last meeting -- giving knowledge about creative commons.
    Aphrodite Macbain: right
    Bruce: snap (sry).

Eliza: so if this WG would like to make a practice of announcing beforehand they can, but truthfully on a regular basis it may be not be productive to have all meetings open at the last minute

Bleu: so next mtg on May 9th is open and we're discussing copyright, right?

Aphrodite Macbain: I'm not sure why Sam was invited but he provides a useful perspective
Eliza: the CC meetings seem good to have as open as possible
stevenaia Michinaga: I suspect at the next WG meeting we will simplify by untangling the questions
Aphrodite Macbain: If there are too many people at a meeting, things can become unmanageable
    Eliza: yes
Aphrodite Macbain: and hard for the chair to facilitate
    Eliza: exactly
stevenaia Michinaga: I don't se crowds breaking into the mmetings
Eliza: and that is why some topics get dropped
    Aphrodite Macbain: no :-)
    Eliza: :) Stevie
    Eliza giggles

Bleu: can people sit and observe until the WG invites their comments?
stevenaia Michinaga: (but we welcome anyone)
    Eliza: yes that's best
    Aphrodite Macbain: observers... yes
Eliza: and the WG is open for people to join of course
stevenaia Michinaga: we will give them hand rasing scripts
    stevenaia Michinaga: or those flags

Aphrodite Macbain: Someone needs to pull all the pieces together regarding the discussion and present it so a decision can be made
    stevenaia Michinaga: wave until recognized
    Eliza: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: Who can do that?
    Bruce demonstrates.
Bleu: decision would need permission of all who have participated on the wiki
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
Eliza: an "ooo oo oo pick me pick me" animation
Aphrodite Macbain: Bleu is very busy; can you Stevenaia?
    Eliza smiles at Bruce

stevenaia Michinaga: we may have to gloss over some isses to attempt to decide others
Eliza: ah, thus your wondering about deciding in increments
Aphrodite Macbain: Someone needs to facilitate this discussion
stevenaia Michinaga: that would be dificult and would have to be considered if something is decised, Bleu
Aphrodite Macbain: pull it together, present options
stevenaia Michinaga: the chair would.. I appoint Boxy!
Aphrodite Macbain: If he can make it...
    stevenaia Michinaga: giggles
    Agatha Macbeth seconds Boxy
    Eliza: :) sleeping chair...
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
    stevenaia Michinaga: perfect
    Agatha Macbeth: poor Alfie
    Eliza: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain feels uneasy...

Bleu: I think it's also important to review what is already in place
    Eliza: yes
Eliza: to me that seems where we are
Aphrodite Macbain: yes Bleu exactly and present the options clearly
stevenaia Michinaga: what is already in place?
    Eliza: exactly
    Eliza: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: lol

    Bleu: default is standard copyright
    Aphrodite Macbain: automatic copyright
Bleu: each person owns their own words/photos
    Aphrodite Macbain: whatever that means
stevenaia Michinaga: does anyone understand what that is?
    stevenaia Michinaga: lol
Aphrodite Macbain: therein lies our problem
Bleu: yes, people can't use without perm
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds clear enough to me, yes
    Bleu: unless "fair use"
Aphrodite Macbain: Eos needs to be invited to this meeting

    Bruce: OK... Here's a hypothetical. . . .
stevenaia Michinaga: so in an unual case 20+ people own the copyright to a large session?
Agatha Macbeth: What is 'fair use' exactly?
    Aphrodite Macbain: listens to bruce
Bruce: Someone puts a URL into the chat -- and I go to that site..
Bruce: and I copy/paste text from that site into the chat.
    Bruce: What then?
Bruce: This actually ahppens a lot.
    stevenaia Michinaga: it;s done often
    Aphrodite Macbain: nods.
Bleu: yes, in a collaborative work either everyone owns together or each own their own portion
Bruce: Who owns what I have just copy/pasted into the chat?
Agatha Macbeth: That's apoint - what about links?
Aphrodite Macbain: are we contravening anything?
Eliza nods... we do have a quilt making pattern of sharing
Bruce: I did that last week -- with Samuo's link on Idiot Compassion.
Bruce: (Pema Chodron -- I copy/pasted thre things from her site.
    Aphrodite Macbain: sounds interesting
Bruce: Do I go to jail now?
    Eliza: yes but you attributed?
stevenaia Michinaga: sounds like" fair use"
Eliza: we generally do give links
    Bruce: Yes, it was attributed...

Bleu: not always enough to attribute
Eliza: and things change, but we operate under "due dilligence"
    Bleu: depends on the copyright
    boxy: ok, i'm late
stevenaia Michinaga: boxy's ears were ringing
Aphrodite Macbain: I think the fact that the text was in Public domain to begin with means it can be copied
Agatha Macbeth: Good evening Alfred :p
    boxy: hi :)
Eliza: yes Boxy, you must have heard us
Bruce: Hey, speak of the Box!!
boxy's nose: stevenaia Michinaga pokes boxy's nose
    Bleu: not so Aph
Eliza: right on time to close the meeting, haha
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: listens to Bleu
    Agatha Macbeth grins
    boxy: ah, pondering copyrights
    Aphrodite Macbain: no?
Eliza: but will stick around to hear Bleu
boxy's nose: Agatha Macbeth gently squeezes boxy's nose

Bleu: even public things can be copyright
Aphrodite Macbain: even on the web?
Bleu: should assume so unless stated otherwise
Bleu: unless listed as creative commons
Agatha Macbeth: I'm particularly puzzled by this 'fair use' business
    Bleu: giving permission to use
boxy: pab wiki isn't in public domain
Aphrodite Macbain: we sould assuuuuuuume we dont have permission to copy Bleu?
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/<wbr>Fair_use</wbr>
    <wbr><wbr>Agatha Macbeth: ty Steve
Bleu: only copyright holders can give permission via CC to let others use
    stevenaia Michinaga: if so stated
    Bleu: yes Aph

Bruce: This whole thing sounds stickier than Aph's "u".
Aphrodite Macbain: Do we want our stuff to be copied?
Bleu: of course "fair use" allows certain uses of others works
    Aphrodite Macbain: grins
stevenaia Michinaga: can we stop it Alph
    boxy: i don't :)
Aphrodite Macbain: fair as in not for making money
Agatha Macbeth: The reason I ask is a SL friend got into a big houha about this very subject recently
Aphrodite Macbain: not for profit=fair se?
Bleu: CC is a lisence to use
    Bleu: no Aph

Eliza: :) can see the discussion is going to continue for a while in various components
Aphrodite Macbain: if something is copywriten with the little "c" it means we need permission to us
Bleu: only copyright holders can issue that lisence
    Aphrodite Macbain: use
stevenaia Michinaga: fair use is an American term, what about the rest of the world
Aphrodite Macbain: So I automatically have copyright on everything i publish?

Bruce: so, for the next WG meeting: (1) What is current policy of PaB/Kira; (2) Is more needed; (3) If so, what are options; (3) Decision for one of those options
Bleu: so in essence everyone who has created the wiki owns the copyright and so everyone should agree to change it
Aphrodite Macbain: Yes Bruce- sounds good.
Bruce: (4) decision -- can't count this morning.
    Bleu: yes Aph
boxy: blue, that's what i said in my very first email :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Bleu: I should add ... in US
boxy: which no one read... :)
    Bleu: other countries different
boxy's nose: Agatha Macbeth pokes boxy's nose
Aphrodite Macbain: then why do I have to write that c thingy?
    Bleu: you don't anymore
    Bleu: in US
    Aphrodite Macbain: oh!
    Aphrodite Macbain: Ah OK
    Bleu: it's now the default
Aphrodite Macbain: All over the world?
    Bleu: no
Agatha Macbeth: That's good to know
    Bleu: other countries different
boxy: enjoying your coffee in the evening, aga? :)
stevenaia Michinaga: Boxy, you are co-chair of WG w/ moi (if you didn;t know)

Aphrodite Macbain: Wow. But if it's on the web it isn't in any country
Agatha Macbeth: It's tea dear ;-)
Bleu: that's where it gets tricky Aph

Bruce: Sry, but I must go help demolishing crew -- just arrived.
    stevenaia Michinaga: have fun Bruce
Eliza: I must go as well
boxy: stev, i decided to resign and downgrade myself to observers :)
    Eliza: Thanks Bruce, everyone
    Aphrodite Macbain: Take photos Bruce!
Agatha Macbeth: Have fun Brucie, wreck well
    Aphrodite Macbain: Bye
    Bruce: Photos you shall have!
Bleu: the wiki text does originate within LL, a US country
    boxy: will swap with bleu

stevenaia Michinaga: eeek, that means I'm the only one left
    Eliza: :)
Eliza: like when everyone steps back
    boxy: you'll have blue as a co-chair
boxy's nose: stevenaia Michinaga slowly strokes boxy's wet nose
Eliza: Bleu is a natural co-chair
    Aphrodite Macbain: Boxy is co-chair
    stevenaia Michinaga: smiles
    boxy: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: Boxy resigns
    boxy: aph, scroll up :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: Oh rats

Bleu looks away for a second and comes back to co-chair?

Eliza: boxy wants to be pup sleeping under table

    Eliza giggles at Bleu
    stevenaia Michinaga: yeh Bleu
boxy: eliza, in aph's lap :)
    Bleu: darn puppies :)
    Eliza: :) boxy
    Agatha Macbeth: He's a sleeping partner ;-)
Aphrodite Macbain: Bleu- are you OK with this?
    stevenaia Michinaga: never ask, Aph!!
Bleu: sure, as long as Steve does most of the heavy lifting :)
    Eliza: pandeWGamonium
    Aphrodite Macbain: tickles Boxy's ears
boxy's nose: Bleu licks boxy's nose
stevenaia Michinaga: hehe, sure thing, we can talk about time change when it;s convenient
Agatha Macbeth: Alf are you wearing a facelight or something?
boxy: ok, i will fix the wiki page to reflect the wg team change
    boxy: no
