The guardian at this meeting was Pema Pera and the comments are his.

It was morning in Rieul. I came to the tea house and found Types there.

    Pema Pera: Hi Types!
    Pema Pera: welcome back!
    Types Sideways: ty
Types Sideways: how are you Pema?
    Pema Pera: fine!
Pema Pera: Finally getting a bit more sleep
Types Sideways: can be a problem all right
Pema Pera: SL has taught me two lessons: the earth is round and sleep is a precious thing
    Types Sideways: LOL
Pema Pera: round, I mean, the problem with all the time zones
    Types Sideways: thats funny
    Types Sideways: yeah
Types Sideways: going to Japan and back cant help
    Types Sideways: :)
Pema Pera: that’s not so bad, I’m used to that, and I’ll stay here for ten weeks or so
Pema Pera: The problem is more to schedule events
    Types Sideways: 10 weeks?
    Types Sideways: wow
Pema Pera: hard to get everyone on the same page
    Pema Pera: yes
    Pema Pera: work related
Pema Pera: but fun too of course
    Types Sideways: Pema
Pema Pera: 11 pm here now
Pema Pera: Thanks for taking care of one of the sessions here recently, with Thorberg!
Types Sideways: have a Gaisha serve you xsome Macha for me please
    Pema Pera: hahaha
Pema Pera: Maiko is about all I could afford
    Types Sideways: np

Caledonia dropped in, and now there were the three of us, me the only one without wings.

    Pema Pera: Hi Cal!
    Caledonia Heron: hey there :)
Types Sideways: its difficult for me when there are more than one discussions going on
Pema Pera: I’m the only unwinged one
Pema Pera: but my hair may stand in
    Types Sideways: hi Cal
    Types Sideways: Max
    Pema Pera: almost unhinged too
Pema Pera: but recently caught up on sleep a bit
    Pema Pera: Hi Max!
    Maxine Walden: hi, gang
Maxine Walden: nice to see everyone
    Caledonia Heron: good morning :)
    Types Sideways: :))

Maxine had dropped in too, on the heels of Caledonia.

Pema Pera: Love your outfit, Caledonia — reminds me of sandstone paintings, Native Indian style
    Caledonia Heron: evening
    Types Sideways: good morning
    Types Sideways: yes
Caledonia Heron: me too, thanks :)
Pema Pera: yes, evening here, 11 pm
    Types Sideways: wonderful Cal
Pema Pera: did you design that, by any chance?
Caledonia Heron: no, just a wicked shopper :)
    Types Sideways: LOL
Pema Pera: I still have to learn to shop
Caledonia Heron: good golly, let’s go!!
Pema Pera: would love to get a more varied wardrobe
    Pema Pera: got a deal!
    Pema Pera: two problems:
    Caledonia Heron: harder for boys
    Pema Pera: search stinks
Pema Pera: and all the good stuff is for gals
Caledonia Heron: slexchange dude, get the overview
    Types Sideways: :))
Pema Pera: but if you know where to go
    Types Sideways: hahahaha
    Caledonia Heron: yep
    Pema Pera: slexchange?
    Pema Pera: or sexchange?

I had to admit I had not yet heard about what turned out to be a standard way of shopping in SL. I thought that Caledonia suggested a solution for the fact that male avatars have much less to shop for.

Caledonia Heron: http://www.slexchange.com - put some money on acct and you can shop or browse on the web then buy online or slurl to the shop
    Caledonia Heron: or onrez.com
    Pema Pera: !
Caledonia Heron: both shopping tools via web browser
Pema Pera: yes, web browsing beats 3D browsing, I have to admit
Caledonia Heron: depends, but it can save time
Caledonia Heron: gives you an idea of the whole complement of things, what stuff should cost, etc
Pema Pera: but how can you do that together?
    Caledonia Heron: ?
Pema Pera: you said “let’s go!”
Green Tea (Gyokuro): Mmmhh… enjoy the best green tea Types Sideways
Caledonia Heron: you register on the web, go to an exchange kiosk inworld, give it money and it shows up in your web acct
Pema Pera: go to a web browser doesn’t sound like “let’s go” :-)
    Pema Pera: like amazon.com
Caledonia Heron: well, two approaches, the let’s go, and the browse
Caledonia Heron: depends on your mood I think
    Pema Pera: okay
Pema Pera: well, slex is new for me, so let me try that first
Caledonia Heron: some shops are quite beautiful
    Caledonia Heron: ok
Pema Pera: I really thought is was a typo, when I complained about more choice for gals…..
Caledonia Heron: there *are* more choices for girls
    Pema Pera: faaaaar more!
Pema Pera: In everything, from skins to hair to clothes, you name it
Pema Pera: I demand equal opportunity
Caledonia Heron: I can teach you how to shop….let me know :)
    Types Sideways: :))
Caledonia Heron: LOL, but of course!!
    Pema Pera: pretty please!
Pema Pera: I’ll get out my date book
    Caledonia Heron: :)

I switched to the PaB blog, and my new role being equally reader as writer.

    Pema Pera: on another topic
Pema Pera: I have been reading the blog entries for the last two days
Pema Pera: Because I was in a conference in Japan, I had to skip two sessions each day
Pema Pera: so I just read four sessions where I wasn’t there
Pema Pera: It was refreshing and fun to be on the reader’s end for a change!
    Types Sideways: :)
    Maxine Walden: I can imagine
    Caledonia Heron: a different perspective
Pema Pera: trying to imagine what happened purely from the log, without the visuals
    Maxine Walden: yes…
Pema Pera: people exclaiming in reaction to things happening, obviously, but you can only guess
Pema Pera: a certain charm in itself
Pema Pera: a bit like slapstick without the stick
Maxine Walden: yes open to the imagination like old time radio
Caledonia Heron: it helps if you know the players a bit :)
    Pema Pera: yes!!
    Pema Pera: radio
    Pema Pera: I loved that
Pema Pera: in elementary school we didn’t yet have tv
    Pema Pera: loved those radioplays
Maxine Walden: I did too, as a kid I had all my programs
Pema Pera: yes, Cal, indeed, without the players it wouldn’t make sense
Maxine Walden: Sky King, the Lone Ranger, Bobby Bensen of the B Bar B
    Pema Pera: hahaha
Caledonia Heron: have always had tv, I can see the radio/imagination angle….not unlike books/movies

    Sky dropped by.

Types Sideways: Hi sky nice to meet you
Maxine Walden: and then the programs that all the family listened to…quite a different scene
    Caledonia Heron: hey Sky
    Maxine Walden: Hi, Sky
Pema Pera: yes, but the emotions in the voice become so pertinent
    Pema Pera: Hi Sky!
Pema Pera: You can imagine a bit how it must be to be blind
Maxine Walden: absolutely, the voices convey so much
Pema Pera: and to get all your info from sound
    Pema Pera: so vibrant

Types asked me about multiple threads in texting.

Types Sideways: did you hear my last about multiple conversations?
    Pema Pera: no, Types?
Types Sideways: how do you do it?
Types Sideways: keep up with it?
Types Sideways: sometimes here there are three conversations at once
    Pema Pera: yes
    Pema Pera: fun
Types Sideways: and you seem to keep up
    Types Sideways: :))
    Pema Pera: haha
Maxine Walden: but not ‘blind’ ears re multiple conversations, like now
Pema Pera: seems very natural to me
    Pema Pera: don’t know why
Pema Pera: always want more like a kid in a candy store — including more story lines ;>)
    Types Sideways: yes
Types Sideways: have to leave because of it sometimes
Maxine Walden: Sky, you are changing appearance…

The conversation turned to Sky, who had changed from a fox into a human avatar.

Maxine Walden: Sky, like your new outfit
Caledonia Heron: yes Sky :) I also like your wabbit :)
    Sky Szimmer: thanks!
Sky Szimmer: i like the wabbit/fox too
Sky Szimmer: but felt like i was not fitting in too well as a furrie
    Types Sideways: ahhh
    Maxine Walden: Oh, why not?
    Types Sideways: I could change
    Caledonia Heron: phooie
    Sky Szimmer: yup. group pressure.
    Pema Pera: haha
Sky Szimmer: also, just wanted to play around a bit
Pema Pera: you were fine as a fox, Sky, but yes, it’s nice to change too
Sky Szimmer: i wanted to explore if anything changes with appearances
Sky Szimmer: have you guys find that to be the case
Maxine Walden: and what are you finding?
Types Sideways: Ive experimented with that extensivly sky
Sky Szimmer: i am very interested in finding out if we can change our mental state
    Sky Szimmer: with changing form
Types Sideways: I look for those who dont
Sky Szimmer: yes Types. what have you found
Sky Szimmer: look for those who don’t what
Types Sideways: change response to appearance
Pema Pera: It’s fun to see Types typing with one hand and drinking tea with the other :-)
    Types Sideways: LOL
    Types Sideways: thats it
    Types Sideways: in RL
Sky Szimmer: I am not sure I understand you Types
    Sky Szimmer: Plese say more

Types is a master shape shifter, and has visited us in many forms.

Types Sideways: I change to different things
    Types Sideways: quite often
Types Sideways: some are very different
    Sky Szimmer: yes…
Types Sideways: respond to the appearance
    Types Sideways: not the person
Types Sideways: even ask me to be something else
Maxine Walden: you respond to the appearance change or others do?
Types Sideways: because they dont like what I am now
    Types Sideways: :))
Sky Szimmer: you mean other people respond differently to you?
    Types Sideways: yes
    Types Sideways: some
    Types Sideways: not all
Maxine Walden: how is it for you when you change appearance, do you feel a lot different?
    Maxine Walden: of not?
    Maxine Walden: or not?
    Types Sideways: me
Types Sideways: I respond different to different changes
    Maxine Walden: that’s interesting
Pema Pera: Types, how do you feel when you are a ball of light, for example — that was impressive!
    Types Sideways: although
Types Sideways: I realize a timie is cuter
Types Sideways: I dont mean that
    Maxine Walden: timie?
    Pema Pera: tiny
    Types Sideways: Tinie
Types Sideways: sall cute dog for instance
Maxine Walden: do you then feel cuter?
Types Sideways: but when someone only likes you when you are one certain appearance
Types Sideways: they seem to be looking on the surface
Types Sideways: those are the differences
Maxine Walden: it is hard to continue to like yourself when someone else seems not to
Maxine Walden: sometimes it may be harder, maybe not all the time

Sky, too, wondered about changing identifications influenced by changes in one’s avatar.

Sky Szimmer: I am interested in any changes to one’s personality, conditioning or point of view when one changes appearance
Maxine Walden: I find that a real exercise in self-regard, to maintain my own sense of self no matter what others think; often difficult
Sky Szimmer: Like if I change to be a old man, would I then engage the world differently
Types Sideways: thats my interest too sky
Sky Szimmer: Yes Maxine, that is difficult
Types Sideways: you said it better
    Maxine Walden: interesting question Sky
Sky Szimmer: this goes back to what we were discussing yesterday about changing “b”eing
Caledonia Heron: teenagers do this in rl all the time, try out different looks, personas and then as adults settle in somewhere, this is an interesting medium to try stuff out with zero consequences
Sky Szimmer: I didn’t do that
Types Sideways: you mean doing instead of being?
Maxine Walden: yes, Cal very good point. Sky, say more about last evening’s discussion of ‘b’eing.
Sky Szimmer: no. I was exploring this idea that “me” is a “dream” and not “real” so then, it can be changed in my opinion
    Maxine Walden: I recall
Sky Szimmer: so we are “B”eing playing as “b”eings
Sky Szimmer: so then “b”eings are not who we really are then it can be subject to change
Sky Szimmer: then, we are born with a set of preferences or personality traits
Pema Pera: yup, what we have can be changed, not what we are
    Types Sideways: the black snake
    Maxine Walden: ?

We would return to Types’ black snake later.

Sky Szimmer: so then I wonder if completely changing our way of being is possible
Sky Szimmer: I should have done more exploring as a teenager : )
Types Sideways: is being what we are?
Types Sideways: if so, how can we change what we are?
Sky Szimmer: Anyway for me, this project is more “B”eing playing as “b”eing
Caledonia Heron: I think you can change your way of being and in fact some life events make this possible in large and small ways
Pema Pera: we can’t change what we Are, but we can change what we normally call “are” namely what we have
    Sky Szimmer: yes Cal.
    Types Sideways: yeah
    Pema Pera: yes, Cal
    Types Sideways: the black snake
Maxine Walden: please say more Cal
Pema Pera: and the way we use words can be confusing
Pema Pera: I don’t think there is a limit to how much we can change
Caledonia Heron: I am referring to benchmark events, something that changes your fundamental outlook or causes a profound shift in how you hold the immediate and abstract universe around you
    Sky Szimmer: yes Pema.
Maxine Walden: I think I understand, Cal, and agree. Thanks for the detail
Pema Pera: yes, Cal, much as we are totally free, ultimately, without the right prodding we would be hard put to use that freedom
    Pema Pera: suffering helps too
    Pema Pera: black snake?
Types Sideways: suffering is the teacher
Maxine Walden: suffering really helps, it really can open one up
Caledonia Heron: lol, wah, lol, wah, lol, wah….wash, rinse, repeat….
    Pema Pera: which black snake?
Maxine Walden: yes, and what about the black snake?
Types Sideways: the illusions we face has been clled being biten by the black snake
    Types Sideways: called
    Maxine Walden: interesting
Pema Pera: nice expression — were does it come from?

Here the black snake story was told.

Types Sideways: bieng biten by the black snake is thinking we are the body
Types Sideways: it is poinson and an illusion
    Types Sideways: the cure
    Types Sideways: they say
Types Sideways: is drink the cure of knowing we are not the body
Caledonia Heron: who are “they” - from which philosophy does this come?
Types Sideways: advaita Gitsa from Hindu tradition
    Types Sideways: Gitas
Types Sideways: If we know we are not the body
Types Sideways: then the ilusion of the snake becomes just a rope
    Types Sideways: thats the analogy
Maxine Walden: I find that very interesting, Types, thank you for bringing it
    Types Sideways: YW Max
    Types Sideways: ties into being
    Maxine Walden: very much
Pema Pera: Cal, the wash rinse repeat cycle, did you mean suffering, or the way we are dealing with it, or . .. ?
Caledonia Heron: mmm, it’s a way to look at how we cycle through knowledge, like a roller coaster with wisdom perhaps the dips become less steep
    Maxine Walden: interesting image
Caledonia Heron: you are happy and sad over and over in different ways
Pema Pera: or we are less afraid of it and bothered by it
Caledonia Heron: depends on what you learn and how you choose the next time/cycle :)
Maxine Walden: but some times we lose the wisdom from experience and have to cycle as deeply again, I think
Pema Pera: sometimes I feel that the dips can become larger in some way but no longer threatening
    Types Sideways: yes
Maxine Walden: yes, the aspect of threat may change significantly
Caledonia Heron: those are the people who throw up their arms and scream with glee Pema :)
Sky Szimmer: no longer threatening, how so
    Sky Szimmer: : )
Types Sideways: like the moon in the daytime
    Types Sideways: less bright
Pema Pera: I sometimes do that too, Cal — believe it or not ;>)
Caledonia Heron: :) for sure, we all do
Sky Szimmer: so Pema, the dips get larger which means you have a more intense experience
Sky Szimmer: right? if that what you mean?
Maxine Walden: (I need to go in about 5 min…RL tugging at my sleeve)
    Types Sideways: :)

We continued talking about roller coaster dips.

Pema Pera: it is like knowing a movie is not ultimately real and then allowing yourself to plunge fully into the experience, yes, Sky
Pema Pera: we will tug at the other sleeve, Max, how’s that?
Maxine Walden: keeping in mind the illusion, as T was saying re black snake?
Caledonia Heron: like this movie, like the Pranksters, ha ha
Pema Pera: sorry Types for multiple conv’s
    Types Sideways: hehehe
Sky Szimmer: so say you get really upset, on one level and then on another level, there is a part of you that sees it and isn’t bothered
    Types Sideways: ty
Maxine Walden: Oh, yes, please tug at the other sleeve…would love to stay
    Pema Pera: yes Sky
Pema Pera: but not part of you
Pema Pera: what is really you is okay
Caledonia Heron: yes, you can hold opposing ideas in the same space and yet at the same time not BE the ideas
Pema Pera: what you are dressed in goes up and down, but can learn to go with the flow
    Pema Pera: yes, Cal, precisely
Sky Szimmer: that is a nice analogy Cal
    Maxine Walden: nicely put, Cal
Maxine Walden: I am so enjoying this web of ideas, it will be hard to go, as is often here at the teahouse for me
    Caledonia Heron: :)
Types Sideways: very daoist thinking there
Pema Pera: I really enjoyed reading what Types said about me, that Pema tends to go with the flow ;>) — in a chat log when I was not there — I really appreciate that, as about the highest compliment (^_^)
    Types Sideways: YW
Caledonia Heron: you do have a flow about you :)
    Caledonia Heron: gracious and open
Pema Pera: the funny thing is that I feel there is a flow and I am just bobbing in it
Pema Pera: like a cork or such
    Types Sideways: :)
    Pema Pera: thank you Cal
    Types Sideways: no control
Caledonia Heron: I was going to use that image but did not…are you reading my mind?
    Pema Pera: yeah
    Pema Pera: psssstttt
    Types Sideways: the scary part
    Pema Pera: shh

With Caledonia and me being in sync now, I couldn’t help broaching the subject of squizzles.

    Pema Pera: haha
Pema Pera: we’ll have to tell them about squizzles
    Caledonia Heron: lol
    Types Sideways: squizzles?
    Maxine Walden: ?
    Caledonia Heron: a fine species
    Pema Pera: unusual behavior somewhat
Caledonia Heron: uh-oh, squizzle’s out of the bag
    Pema Pera: not quite yet
    Types Sideways: please
Pema Pera: just a couple sightings
    Types Sideways: tell us
Caledonia Heron: yes, a rare sl creature known only to a few
Pema Pera: sometimes traces are found
Caledonia Heron: keep yer eyes peeled…they’re on the loose
    Pema Pera: but typically mistaken
Pema Pera: they are too light footed to leave much of a trace
    Types Sideways: ahhhh squizzles
Maxine Walden: after the black snake, the squizzles? mistaken for …?
Caledonia Heron: no mistaking a squizzle Maxine :)
    Types Sideways: :))
Caledonia Heron: they appear to have very soft fur and pointy ears
Pema Pera: if you see a real squizzle you know it, Max
Caledonia Heron: they are mischievious, yet loving
    Caledonia Heron: they be
    Types Sideways: wonderful
Pema Pera: have nests high in trees
Caledonia Heron: let us know if you see one
    Pema Pera: love forests
Caledonia Heron: and walking, flying through the forest
Pema Pera: their ears are indicators
Pema Pera: when they droop, don’t get close
Pema Pera: or if you are daring
Caledonia Heron: or when pulled back….beware

At this point Maxine had to leave, reluctantly.

Maxine Walden: I’ll have to read the blog, like the end of a great radio play, to hear more about the squizzle…oh, it sounds as if they also can become whatever we wish to project into them, whatever fantasies we have/wish them to have. our web of playful conversation…
Pema Pera: you can get close if you think you can REALLY comfort them
Pema Pera: then their ears will perk up again
Caledonia Heron: or you have a good story to tell
Pema Pera: can’t project too much on a squizzle, Max
    Caledonia Heron: lol
    Maxine Walden: really?
Pema Pera: like water off a squizzle’s back
Maxine Walden: oh, have their own boundary
Caledonia Heron: a rainbow, beautiful but never grasped
Types Sideways: I love you guys
Maxine Walden: yes, in the ether, sort of
    Caledonia Heron: awww
Pema Pera: but if they want to, they let themselves be hugged
Caledonia Heron: yes, lovers not fighters
Pema Pera: but ready to defend
Pema Pera: or attack if provoked
Pema Pera: if you really provoke
Caledonia Heron: I have heard they hold their ground if needed
Pema Pera: they love to not fight
Pema Pera: but can fight to love
    Caledonia Heron: lol
    Sky Szimmer: smiles
Caledonia Heron: so…let us know if you see one
Pema Pera: squizzles tend to go their own way
Sky Szimmer: they sound like big foot
Pema Pera: do you know how they recognize each other?
Sky Szimmer: been looking for them
    Caledonia Heron: squiz-dar
    Sky Szimmer: lol
    Pema Pera: zquitsel
Maxine Walden: gotto go, but the squizzle is tugging this way…I will read the ‘radio’ blog to hear the end of this story and I will look for one today in RL or daydream life
Caledonia Heron: bye Maxine, daydream a squizzle :)
Pema Pera: or perhaps they’ll get you some day, Max, beware!
Sky Szimmer: have a good day Maxine
Pema Pera: but they never mean harm
    Pema Pera: bye Max!
Types Sideways: the end of you I suspect
Pema Pera: that would be GREAT
Types Sideways: if they get you
    Pema Pera: no you

Maxine left, but the squizzle story continued.

Maxine Walden: I’ll keep my eyes and ears open…no harm meant ever, I gather
Caledonia Heron: if they get you and you are kind then you will receive the best hug you ever had
    Maxine Walden: bye
Pema Pera: Take the u out of a squizzle and pretty soon you get an ISle
    Sky Szimmer: lol
Caledonia Heron: ISle’s are pure being :)
Pema Pera: and what is more, after the hug you may turn into a squizzle yourself
Pema Pera: if you have not been too good, that is
    Sky Szimmer: ahhhh
    Pema Pera: yes
    Caledonia Heron: mostly good :)
    Pema Pera: but not tooooo
    Pema Pera: good
    Pema Pera: that is baaaad
Caledonia Heron: a little caliente is good, a little spice
Pema Pera: squizzle are allergic to goodygoodies
    Pema Pera: VERY allergic
    Types Sideways: :)

At this point Timaeus entered the tea room, and tried out the pose ball near the entrance. The conversation continued.

lean on bridge poseball: Timaeus Kaul, say ‘/1 Hide’ to hide me, or ‘/1 Show’ to make me show. Or just right-click and sit on me to use me.
Pema Pera: well, the way squizzles recognize each other
Pema Pera: is quite different from the way other species do that
Pema Pera: a dog recognizes a dog
    Pema Pera: somehow
Pema Pera: and a cat a cat
Pema Pera: but squizzles can cross path and seem to not notice each other . . ..
    Pema Pera: but . . . . .
Pema Pera: when they are in the company of non-squizzles
Pema Pera: they look at each other
    Types Sideways: ty sky
Pema Pera: and realize that THEY are NOT non-squizzles
Pema Pera: as the bonding is immediate
Caledonia Heron: :) it is a knowing
    Sky Szimmer: YW
    Pema Pera: grokking
    Types Sideways: :)
    Caledonia Heron: a molecular vibration
    Types Sideways: not no
    Types Sideways: wonderful
Timaeus Kaul: hello I’m sorry to interrupt
    Sky Szimmer: not at all
Timaeus Kaul: I hope it’s alright if I stay for a bit
    Types Sideways: Hi Tim
    Pema Pera: Hi Timaeus
Caledonia Heron: we are expounding on squizzles :)
    Pema Pera: of course!

I thought I might as well draw Timaeus into the conversation right away.

Pema Pera: Tim, do you know about squizzles?
    Timaeus Kaul: Hello all!
Timaeus Kaul: I do not know about squizzles
    Types Sideways: hahahha
    Pema Pera: come sit down?
    Pema Pera: welcome
    Timaeus Kaul: thank you
Pema Pera: we gather here four times a day
Pema Pera: once every six hours
Pema Pera: and each time we have a quite different conversation
Pema Pera: today it ended up being about squizzles
Pema Pera: you may have seen some
Pema Pera: but not have known . ….
    Types Sideways: LOL
Timaeus Kaul: I find that happens to me often
Caledonia Heron: yes, creatures roaming about sl
    Pema Pera: mostly harmless
Timaeus Kaul: Do they serve a purpose?
    Pema Pera: aahhhh
    Types Sideways: :))
Pema Pera: you put your finger on it
    Pema Pera: NO!
    Pema Pera: none whatsoever
    Caledonia Heron: :)
    Types Sideways: to the point
    Types Sideways: man
Caledonia Heron: they exist is all
Pema Pera: pretty much that yes
Timaeus Kaul: That must give them some leeway
    Caledonia Heron: indeed
Pema Pera: oh yeah they are the most lee in their ways
    Sky Szimmer: lol
Caledonia Heron: leeward, windward, all ways you can think

Timaeus was a great sport. I had never met him before, but it was clear that he did fit right in.

Timaeus Kaul: So how do I know I’m looking at a squizzle
    Types Sideways: :))
Pema Pera: it is not a matter of knowing but of seeing
Caledonia Heron resists ghost of Henny Youngman
Pema Pera: when you see you know
    Sky Szimmer: ? Cal
Caledonia Heron: reminded me of a joke sequence, one of the old masters..a digression
    Types Sideways: :)
    Sky Szimmer: : )
Pema Pera: but they have characteristics: with the lee comes a lot of glee
    Caledonia Heron: and whee
Pema Pera: yes, Cal, please digress
    Sky Szimmer: : )
Pema Pera: a wee bit whee
Caledonia Heron: seems like that is a large % of my contribution
    Sky Szimmer: I love it
    Sky Szimmer: by all means
Pema Pera: we can carry on multiple digressions here
Pema Pera: if Types doesn’t mind
    Types Sideways: mind minds
Pema Pera: sorry Tim, you fell right into one of our more silly moods here . . . .
    Sky Szimmer: ; )
Caledonia Heron: yes, I can be terribly serious if called upon to do so…..(maybe, ha ha)
    Timaeus Kaul: No, that’s great
Pema Pera: our time here is Playing as Being
Caledonia Heron: you caught us playing
Timaeus Kaul: I’m just happy to find some kind people who offered me a place to sit
Pema Pera: had you heard about us or just dropped by?
    Pema Pera: yw!
Timaeus Kaul: I just dropped by, I was looking for buddhist organizations

Catching the moment of seriousness, I gave Tim our background information.

Pema Pera: we do have a web site http://playasbeing.wordpress.com/
    Timaeus Kaul: oh good, thanks
Pema Pera: not much there yet about squizzles
Pema Pera: but a whole lot about everything else
    Caledonia Heron: until today :)
    Types Sideways: lmao
    Pema Pera: haha
Pema Pera: today may be a turning point in PaB
Pema Pera: as Play as Being is called
    Types Sideways: completely undiciplined
Caledonia Heron: and there lies the discipline
    Pema Pera: definition of squizzledom
Pema Pera: squizzles don’t love nuts they are nuts
    Caledonia Heron: LOL
    Caledonia Heron: you said it
Caledonia Heron: they are the nut
    Pema Pera: the core
Types Sideways: nut through and through
    Pema Pera: yup
Caledonia Heron: they do however love the nut with the little hat…..acorn nut, a corn nut, a core nut
    Pema Pera: ^^^^

The conversation continued to flow, but it was getting bedtime for me.

Pema Pera: well, here in Japan it is well past midnight, so I really ought to get some sleep . . . . .
Pema Pera: much as I hate to drop the squizzle subject, now that it’s out of the closet
Caledonia Heron: yes, indeed. My garden is calling…….(whispers, weed me…..)
Timaeus Kaul: Well thanks for having me friends. I’m sorry I didn’t get to hear more about squizzles
Types Sideways: nice being with you CAL
Timaeus Kaul: I hope to be coming back often
Pema Pera: Tim, we meet here at 1 and 7 every am and pm every day
Caledonia Heron: same here Types and all of you, you guys are great :)
    Pema Pera: please do!
Pema Pera: We are trying to explore reality
Pema Pera: unlikely as it may have sounded so far
Pema Pera: dropping what we have, to see what we are
Pema Pera: but we are doing that in a playful way
Pema Pera: seems more efficient and more fun
    Pema Pera: fun and profit,
    Pema Pera: the american way
Timaeus Kaul: Makes sense to me
Caledonia Heron: tastes great, less filling
Pema Pera: our method is to meditate for 9 seconds
    Pema Pera: every 15 minutes
Pema Pera: as a kind of time tax
Types Sideways: sometimes I eat too much though
    Pema Pera: only 1%
Pema Pera: 9 out of 900 seconds
    Caledonia Heron: :)
Pema Pera: but many people here have told us how profound it can change them
Pema Pera: poking holes in what they thought reality was
Pema Pera: their image of it
    Timaeus Kaul: Makes sense
Pema Pera: giving a more real reality a chance to shine through
Pema Pera: there is much more on the blog
    Types Sideways: bye Cal
    Types Sideways: Pema
Caledonia Heron: ok, bye y’all :)
    Pema Pera: bye everyone!
    Types Sideways: Tim
    Timaeus Kaul: bye guys!
    Types Sideways: Sky

I just had to tell Types the image that had come to me at the end of the conversation, seeing Types sipping from his green tea regularly, holding the cup in his right hand, and making typing motions furiously with his left hand.

    Pema Pera: Types
Pema Pera: I used a camera view from above
Pema Pera: because it was hard to see everyone otherwise
    Types Sideways: Ill try that
Pema Pera: and it was great to see you as a way to turn
Pema Pera: green tea into white words
Types Sideways: my sideways typing doesnt help
Pema Pera: from one hand into the other
    Pema Pera: hahahah
    Pema Pera: lol
    Pema Pera: FINALLY
Pema Pera: I understand your last name
    Types Sideways: LOL
Pema Pera: with that I take my leave
    Pema Pera: bye all!
    Types Sideways: bye
