The guardian for this meeting was Maxine Walden. The comments are hers, but there was a lot of help from fellow conversants re PaB tech stuff and chatlog after I had to leave. Also, an apology: at this time, as I post the chatlog I cannot figure out how to include the snapshots taken during the session but somehow still floating in cyberspace.  As possible I will add them to the log.

I was briefly seated in the Pavilion when I was joined by Fael who came in as a golden glowing figure.

    Fael Illyar: Hi Maxine :)
Maxine Walden: Fael, what a spectacular entrance! How are you?
Fael Illyar: I'm good, been building a lot today.
    Maxine Walden: golden glow ongoingly...building?
Fael Illyar: no, this is one of the results :)
Maxine Walden: ah, your rather spectacular appearance?
    Fael Illyar: Yes
Maxine Walden: I see, took a lot of attention to detail?
Fael Illyar: Not really, just poofer here and there :)
Maxine Walden: it is almost mesmerizing
Maxine Walden: in its golden glow
Maxine Walden: (thinking how she will write this up for the chatlog)

As sometimes occurs, my comfort level and being among friends who are much more tech savvy than I led to the consideration that I add a snapshot of the group as part of the chatlog.  The reader will have to see whether this effort comes to fruition.

Fael Illyar: I finally decided to just go with the best effect I know how to make instead of waiting to figure out a better one :)
Maxine Walden: (how she will write up Fael's image so golden and glowing)
Fael Illyar: snapshot might help ... although that won't quite capture it still.
Maxine Walden: well you did splendidly
Fael Illyar: Hi Scathach, Tarmel, Catalin :)
Maxine Walden: snapshot. yes, maybe you can help me to that...I have not yet
    Maxine Walden: hi, Catalin
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Fael:0

And Fael reminds me of the autorecorder which I just learned how to use, and which will free my friends from having to send the ends of chatlogs from here on out, though I did not realize that during this occasion, and so am indebted to Riddle and others for their efforts after I left to send the rest of the record.  Conversation continues about PaBtech issues.

Fael Illyar: ah, right, did you claim the session from the autorecorder yet, Maxine?
    Maxine Walden: hi Tarmel
    Catalin Carlucci: hello
    Tarmel Udimo: hello everyone
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Tarmel:0
    Tarmel Udimo: hey there
    Maxine Walden: Scath, hi
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Maxine)
Maxine Walden: I was just trying to figure out how to snapshot Fael and perhaps the group, have not yet done that, tho see the snapshot button
Fael Illyar: it's pretty simple, first click the button, it will open a dialog for you.
    Fael Illyar: Hi Riddle :)
Maxine Walden: hi Riddle...yes I see the dialog
    Tarmel Udimo: hi riddle
    Riddle Sideways: Hi everybody
Fael Illyar: since it's a snapshot for the wiki, you'll be saving it on the hard drive. You can also send it to your email address if you think that'll be easier to find.
Maxine Walden: for the snapshot...and the picture...OK
    Fael Illyar: Hi Susi :)
Maxine Walden: so do I just send it?
    Riddle Sideways: Hi Susi
    Maxine Walden: hi Susi
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Riddle, Susi
Maxine Walden: send the snapshot? Is that how I take it?
Fael Illyar: first move the camera so that what you want in the picture is showing, the click refresh snapshot and then save.
Fael Illyar: once you have selected how you want to save it.
Fael Illyar: if you're used to using email, that might be the easiest one for you
Fael Illyar: just send it to your email address
    Fael Illyar: Hi Wol :)
    Susi Alcott: hi all
Maxine Walden: thanks just did and I will try to include it in the chatlog
    Wol Euler: goodevening everyone
    Maxine Walden: hi Wol
    Riddle Sideways: Hi Wol
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Wol:)
Susi Alcott: sry; some computer probs again
Fael Illyar: Maxine, and another thing, did you claim the session from autorecorder yet?
Riddle Sideways: yes, I am having problems too
Maxine Walden: ah, sorry to hear about the problems. you know I have not claimed the session from the auto record yet, Fael, what should I do?
Fael Illyar: left-click on the recorder that's in the pool, that should get you a blue menu on the top right of your screen.
Fael Illyar: There's a button Claim there
Tarmel Udimo: hi folks i'm back
    Scathach Rhiadra: wb Tarmel:)
    Riddle Sideways: wb
Maxine Walden: thanks, Fael, I am having trouble locating the recorder in the pool, the nozzle of the fountain does not seem to be the button
Fael Illyar: it's slightly below the nozzle
Fael Illyar: the nozzle is darker
Tarmel Udimo: waves at wol and susi who were not here when i crashed
    Maxine Walden: thanks got it
Maxine Walden: so many things ongoingly to learn, thanks Fael
    Fael Illyar: You're welcome :)
    Susi Alcott: hi Tarmel
Tarmel Udimo: hi three colours :-)
    Wol Euler: hello tarmel
Susi Alcott: hi Riddle, Scathach, Wol, Fael, Maxine too
    Susi Alcott: lol
Tarmel Udimo: do you have that picture susi - hi wol

Susi sends a beautiful treforce colour snapshot to us all, again which I will try to include here, if my tech skills are up to it. We then also dip into comparing RL and SL exchange rates

    Susi Alcott: a sec
Maxine Walden: just did another snap, folks, trying to spiff up the chatlog
    Tarmel Udimo: great
Maxine Walden: thanks, Susi, will try to use that as well. Have to say I am really a newbie re pictures so it may take awhile...!
Susi Alcott: has all got the 'treforce colour' snapshot now ?
    Scathach Rhiadra: thanks Susi:)
    Susi Alcott: all are welcome
Fael Illyar: Maxine, this kind of pictures will cost 10L$ per picture to take. Ones you can give to people in SL.
Tarmel Udimo: I can't find mine can you send me a copy too
    Susi Alcott: sure
Susi Alcott: have you Wol saved yours ?
Maxine Walden: oh, really, I did not realize the value!
Wol Euler: I'm sorry, hwat should I have saved?
Tarmel Udimo: I didn't know that...
Fael Illyar: I guess it's a charge to cover up the storage it takes to store the image.
    Susi Alcott: hm...a sec
Tarmel Udimo: we were all glowing that session ;-)
Susi Alcott: so sry Wol; I did remember that it was you who was the 'third' in the middle
Susi Alcott: but it was Corvi...was it so Tarmel ?
Tarmel Udimo: so does that mean that susi had to pay $10 to take that picture?
Wol Euler: that looks like corvi, yes
Tarmel Udimo: yes it was corvi
Scathach Rhiadra: L$ Maxine, about 10 cents
Susi Alcott: that's no money, if one can bring real money to SL
Maxine Walden: I see, the foreign exchange rate, for the moment is good
Maxine Walden: re the US dollar
Susi Alcott: and SL dollar is much less
    Susi Alcott: much much less
Wol Euler: roughly 1/3 US cent
Maxine Walden: if the US economy continues to tank the relative values may change
Susi Alcott: so dont worry for me, but to somebody that can be more than much

We begin to wonder, actually to fantasize about transporting between RL and SL and then our imaginations, perhaps also fueled by the hope from January 20, carries us into contemplating the future

Wol Euler: we'll have to buy groceries in SL and teleport tehm to RL
    Scathach Rhiadra: :)
    Tarmel Udimo: hehehe
    Susi Alcott: :)
Scathach Rhiadra: if only we could..
Maxine Walden: yes, thanks for the picture and the information...yes a new industry, teleporting goods from SL to RL
Maxine Walden: fantasy can do lots of things...
Susi Alcott: well; second life can be the second life, but eating is quite difficult as well as to drink
Wol Euler: well, once the nanoreplicators are working, it should be no trouble at all!
Maxine Walden: musing about our imaginings into the future
Maxine Walden: part of the hope of the current situation after the inauguration?
Tarmel Udimo: is that close or still a fantasy - nano thingys
Tarmel Udimo: yes much hope aftre 20th jan
Wol Euler: getting steadily closer, but still fantasy
Susi Alcott: and history has 'told' of huge many 'impossibilities' to come true, if somebody has been able to imagine it
Tarmel Udimo: when he and michelle got out of the car that was really the moment - free at last
Riddle Sideways sings john lennon's Imagine
Tarmel Udimo: I look forward to the future very much
Maxine Walden: so many of us do look forward to the future...it seems like a time our generation has known before
Maxine Walden: has not known before

But natural doubts and concerns, aspects of our every-present human nature become evident, as we soon recognize

Riddle Sideways: was scared when chief judice messed up the oath
Riddle Sideways: many there would be a legal reversal
Wol Euler: it's been a very long eight years. The social and world-political damage done was severe and will need time to fix.
    Riddle Sideways: *maybe
Maxine Walden: scared, Riddle? ah, but the oath was re-given I understand, Riddle, just to make sure nothing went amiss
Maxine Walden: yes, so much to reverse
Tarmel Udimo: yes it happened again i read in NY times
    Tarmel Udimo: the oath
Maxine Walden: think that many people are trying very carefully to make sure that these possibilities go 'right' rather then 'wrong'...guess we have to see if human nature can allow such a good reversal of things
    Riddle Sideways: Hope
Maxine Walden: Hope indeed. Guess we all have seen the pics from around the world of so much hope
    Maxine Walden: re 20th Jan
Tarmel Udimo: well people, nations have been dreaming of a leader with all this potential for a long time so it was bound to manifest at some point
Tarmel Udimo: perhaps we are all shocked that the collective unconscious was able to actually do it
    Wol Euler: :)
Riddle Sideways: so if you dream long enough and hard enough
Wol Euler: if enough people want something badly enough ...
Tarmel Udimo: obama I think has will go way behind the black white thing
    Tarmel Udimo: *beyond
Tarmel Udimo: i think this is how we manifest on the planet collectively
Maxine Walden: wouldn't be really wonderful if everyone can pull together to make this world a better, more harmonious place for everyone
Riddle Sideways: hope he goes past the rep/dem thing
Fael Illyar heard Obama is the first presidential candidate to have used internet very heavily in his campaign. Especially in networking his supporters and coodinating activities.
Riddle Sideways: yes, my son worked in a super hi-tech volunteer office
Susi Alcott: whole my life I've heared people to want peace...maybe it's not 'there' because all has own 'rules' how to make it
Tarmel Udimo: yes there's all of that too in 50 years we will look back and perhaps see this as a new wolrd order but not of the fasict kind :-)
    Tarmel Udimo: ie the internet
Maxine Walden: Riddle, what was your son's eperience?
    Maxine Walden: working for Obama?
Riddle Sideways: he was in cleveland ohio to work for Obama
Riddle Sideways: got sick walking neighborhoods
Riddle Sideways: so they put him in the IT dept
Riddle Sideways: the databases were incredible
Riddle Sideways: they knew just where/how to canvas neighborhood
Maxine Walden: so much data at hand
Riddle Sideways: had traveling salesman programs to efficintly cover the most ground
Maxine Walden: the internet connections which can link us so, as in the Obama campaign, can be the source for so much good sharing
Fael Illyar: (like what we talk here)
Riddle Sideways: yes, and the security people let Obama keep a blackberry
Tarmel Udimo: well the whole facebook thing was huge
Maxine Walden: I have also heard about cautions re privacy issues, as well, so like most other things, likely needs thoughtful attention for balance
Tarmel Udimo: people watching CNN live via facebook
Maxine Walden: yes, such immediate access to history...absolutely astounding

Tarmel might then be trying to guide our thoughts back to PaB issues, but we seem to need to take a few more minutes to swing round again to consider them

Tarmel Udimo: like SL and PaB in 50 years what?
Tarmel Udimo: will that be like?
Maxine Walden: interesting to contemplate, Tarmel
Riddle Sideways: my daugther is on her way to Israel now. And I will be able to follow everywhere she goes and sees due to internet
    Maxine Walden: fascinating, Riddle
Riddle Sideways: all the groups photos go up on a site for me
Tarmel Udimo: humm and i speak to my family on sykpe all the time we can see each other 3000 miles away
Riddle Sideways: in the 60's it was predicted we would have video telephones
    Riddle Sideways: in the 80s
Riddle Sideways: and we would have flying cars
Maxine Walden: science fiction becomes science
Tarmel Udimo: 3D was talking about the fact that the web will be in 5-10years all 3d environments
Riddle Sideways: don't think I want some of the drivers around in planes
    Tarmel Udimo: hahaha
Riddle Sideways: hand and eye controllers are being tested

It seems important to also mention the needed restraints regarding all these new capacities and our human limitations to manage them creatively

Maxine Walden: suppose we are wondering about safety and privacy, some restraints are important
Fael Illyar: the planes, if they happen, will likely be quite automated.
Maxine Walden: any imaginings about PaB in the near or more distant future?
    Tarmel Udimo: yes well yes....
Fael Illyar: Yes, sitting here, talking :)
    Scathach Rhiadra: :)
Riddle Sideways: that is one of the main tenets of this group
Fael Illyar: well, ok, "here" might change :)
Tarmel Udimo: we'll be speaking perhaps all the time rather than texting
Tarmel Udimo: it will be totally imersive
    Tarmel Udimo: perhaps
Riddle Sideways: every 15 minutes I will tell you what Being is doing to me
    Wol Euler: :)
    Riddle Sideways: continuelly
    Scathach Rhiadra: :)
    Tarmel Udimo: laughing

And we seem to be coming back to realizing that human nature changes far more slowly than technologies

Maxine Walden: and maybe we will be more aware of the ever-present never-cresting wave of now?
    Tarmel Udimo: hopefully
Riddle Sideways: and most of those nows will be asking about the near future
Wol Euler: in ohter words it will be just like today.
Tarmel Udimo: perhaps we will be able to see all the potential choices all at once
    Scathach Rhiadra: :)
Wol Euler: I think we as people will change much less than the technologies around us
Riddle Sideways: sadly, many human nature things will still be the same
Wol Euler: we will still struggle with insecurities and fears and perceived and real lacks.
Riddle Sideways: what do you want to eat?
Riddle Sideways: what is the weather today?
Riddle Sideways: are you going out looking like that?
    Wol Euler: :)
Tarmel Udimo: I think all that will be there but we have no idea the effect of living in SL for instance for 50 years
Riddle Sideways: has anybody seen my transporter keys
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Maxine Walden: yes, seems like human nature has not changed in thousands of years whereas tech things have monumentally
Tarmel Udimo: look at the way the kids are due to facebook and the cult of the celebrity
Maxine Walden: but maybe SL experience, and our PaB experience and community may bring potential changes or evolutions to human nature
    Tarmel Udimo: I think so
Tarmel Udimo: what did someone say to me the other day - resonance...
Maxine Walden: but it seems to me that aspects of restraint are important in all of this, not to get too lost in the celebrity, not to lose oneself because then our capacity to think and be ourselves falters.
Riddle Sideways: Maxine, that has always been true and will always remain
Maxine Walden: I was reading the other day that one of the things that differentiates humans from other primates, such as chimps, is the size of that part of the brain which is linked with capacity for restraint...thought that was interesting
    Tarmel Udimo: hummmm
Riddle Sideways: you own a car that CAN travel at 125 mph
Riddle Sideways: but you should restrain

And then Susi mentions an experience, perhaps summarizing what we have been talking about this hour, and experience which captures out attention and interest and seems to be something deserving more time and discussion than the waning hour within its time limit could allow.

Susi Alcott: can people here have interest to hear about one experience that I cannot know for sure, but about traveling in time ?
    Tarmel Udimo: love to susi
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Susi Alcott: this person and I kind of disappeared for a second or less
Susi Alcott: then we 'got back' and looked at each other
Susi Alcott: we both had expereienced that we visited the future
Susi Alcott: and we both got the hurry to get back
Susi Alcott: and continue the present life in order to work for to change that horrible future
Susi Alcott: which we both took to be 'only glass and steel'
Susi Alcott: this happened many years ago; had forgottan that too compeltely; got the remembering now
Tarmel Udimo: memory is an amzing thing - can you expand on what you saw
Susi Alcott: that all was awful; such cities only with full technology...like no nature left, but in boxies
Susi Alcott: we both felt almost horror
Fael Illyar: I'm sorry but I need to leave.
Fael Illyar: See you later everyone :)
Wol Euler: goodnight fael, take care
    Riddle Sideways: bye fael
    Scathach Rhiadra: bye Fael
Susi Alcott: this other person is very different with me

As I have another meeting I also, sadly, have to say goodbye

Maxine Walden: Bye Fael. I will have to go as well
    Susi Alcott: bye Fael
    Tarmel Udimo: bye fael
Wol Euler: 'night maxine, take care.
Riddle Sideways: when only you experience something it can to discounted, but if two of you share it
Susi Alcott: just wanted to share this experience
    Riddle Sideways: bye maxine
    Tarmel Udimo: bye maxine
    Scathach Rhiadra: bye Maxine
    Wol Euler: thank you Susi.
Maxine Walden: In a minute or so. And if anyone wishes to send chatlog to me after I go I will add it to what I take. I have a feeling that the discussion may not be over
Riddle Sideways: the hurry back feeling is often the rubber band effect that maxine might call restraint
Susi Alcott: this truely was exactly the same experience; also that we traveled in time together
Susi Alcott: and that is not so seldom I know that I travel in time, but in so called passed/history, but I can understand that it can be traveling in memories
Susi Alcott: of my own or somebody elses
Tarmel Udimo: what preceeded that happening? were you meditating?
Susi Alcott: but this other person is so called sleeper, and our experience was completely same; also the worry for the world
Wol Euler: (I'm sorry, I am falling asleep at the keyboard. Goodnight everyone, take care)
    Scathach Rhiadra: night Wol:)
Susi Alcott: we were not meditating; that 'just happened'
    Wol Euler: bye for now
    Susi Alcott: bye Wol
    Tarmel Udimo: bye wol
    Riddle Sideways: bye Wol
    Wol Euler: bah, tp broken.
Riddle Sideways: no prepared sharing is unusual
Susi Alcott: we neither had not been speaking anything about but the daily things
    Tarmel Udimo: sleeper?
Scathach Rhiadra: I must go too, night all, namasté:)
Susi Alcott: so that experience was not leadid by any known thoughts or imagination
    Tarmel Udimo: bye scath
    Riddle Sideways: bye scath

And the conversation continues with great interest and awareness that there is so much to experience which as yet cannot be explained.

Susi Alcott: sleeper 'in my world' is the person who lives very common life without even interests to any so called spiritual
Susi Alcott: like healing or such
Riddle Sideways: when I was doing out of body experiments I sometimes met people I knew or would meet later
Riddle Sideways: we would each acknowledge
Susi Alcott: and that is something very clear to me
Susi Alcott: but we didn't leave our body; that was strange
Susi Alcott: yet; our mind travled 'somewhere'
Riddle Sideways: there is a twisting way out that goes into future or past
Tarmel Udimo: you could also have been seeing a potential future
Susi Alcott: that I can also understand to be possible
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Susi Alcott: yet; that does not explane the feeling we both had
Susi Alcott: not easy to say this, but there's been huge many things I've done only based on the feeling that 'it' is true, and all such has showen out to be true
Riddle Sideways: a potential future explains why you both wanted to come back and changes things
Susi Alcott: and I had that same feeling of this experience
Susi Alcott: and the more odd was, that this other person also got that special feeling; no questions left
Susi Alcott: so; wanted to share, but cannot explane how and why and what this ment
Riddle Sideways: thank you. there is so much that we know, but cannot explain
Susi Alcott: thinking only that somebody else may have got some experience like that
    Tarmel Udimo: thanks fo sharing
Susi Alcott: thank you for listening
Tarmel Udimo: perhaps we all do and it takes a trigger to bring up memory
Susi Alcott: need to go myself too
Tarmel Udimo: did either of you read SETH
Riddle Sideways: yes, some I had forgotten
Susi Alcott: got help request call
Tarmel Udimo: okay susi happy healing
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
    Riddle Sideways: TY
Riddle Sideways: I need to go too
    Tarmel Udimo: yes me too...

And my dear friends toil about getting this post-Maxine chat to me for the log.  I am grateful to them and so pleased I will not have to burden them in the future.  And so grateful to Fael, Wol and others for this autorecord capacity.

Tarmel Udimo: what do we do abiout chat to maxine?
Tarmel Udimo: how does one send it?
Riddle Sideways: paste it into the IM I think
Tarmel Udimo: I don't have her in my contacts do you?
Tarmel Udimo: or can you do it another way?
Tarmel Udimo: I'll send to wol and maybe he can pass it on....
Riddle Sideways: ok, I am trying it.
    Tarmel Udimo: any luck?
Riddle Sideways: I think it worked
Tarmel Udimo: great thanks riddle see you next time
    Riddle Sideways: bye

PS. Riddle sent the following which I have to add to the log; it feel so much part of the conversation.

We interrupt the missing chat log and other business reports...
too just pass on a fun item.

NPR's weekend edition had a rather nice piece on after the sunday puzzle.

    http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=99834201

"I love the challenge of having to think like a killer whale," Deecke says.
"You know, having to strip your biases as a terrestrial, visually based
mammal and . understand what life might be like for an animal that lives in
a 3-dimensional world where vision is not very useful, where sound travels
    for large distances."

I can't find the other text to quote here.  There was something toward the
end about other people might not understand the obsession to wait long
periods of time for an intense experience.
However, don't we all have some speciality, hobby, fetish, etc. that we live
and breathe so deeply, that we can see through the eyes of a (Orca, spoon,
astronomer, artist, program code, kitten, Being, a Beatle or whatever).
