    Adelene Dawner: Hi, Pila ^.^

Pila Mulligan: hi Ade and Threedee

    Threedee Shepherd: Hey, Pila

Pila Mulligan: I hope you are both well and happy

Threedee Shepherd: as much as can be realistically expected, Yes, thank you.

    Adelene Dawner: :)

    Pila Mulligan: :)

Pila Mulligan: noticed anyhing of interest in the unvierse lately?

Threedee Shepherd: Well, I stumbled some Hubble galexy/nebula pictures yesterday that are pretty amazing.

    Pila Mulligan: new ones?

    Threedee Shepherd: no

Pila Mulligan: there are some awesome pictures from the Hubble

Pila Mulligan: I see the tatami mats are back tonite

Pila Mulligan: they were rpleaced wiht some kind of carpet texture yesterday

    Threedee Shepherd: mmm

Pila Mulligan: want to play with the board?

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^

Threedee Shepherd: Hey, Instructions, there is no white side

Adelene Dawner: There was, you missed it. ^.^

Pila Mulligan: can you blank it plase Ade?

Adelene Dawner: You can clear it - the trash can icon in the upper right does that. :)

Pila Mulligan: is the lower left tool a circle

    Adelene Dawner: yep

Pila Mulligan: it was not curved whan I trie dit then

    Adelene Dawner: Works for me...

Pila Mulligan: and it uses two clicks to mahe the perimeter?

Adelene Dawner: click and drag. :)

    Pila Mulligan: aha :)

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^

Pila Mulligan: next up on tools is point to point click

    Pila Mulligan: straight line

Adelene Dawner: it's an arrow tool, again, click and drag.

Pila Mulligan: the line draws outside but not inside the cicrle it seems

Adelene Dawner: you have to click and drag.

    Pila Mulligan: oh :)

Pila Mulligan: for connect the dots?

Adelene Dawner: connect the dots, you can just click :)

Adelene Dawner: you clicked on the circle - can you see it glow?

    Pila Mulligan: nopoe :)

Adelene Dawner: Clicking on a drawn thing doesn't do the same thing as clicking on the board. :)

Pila Mulligan: I'm trying to start a mandala :)

    Adelene Dawner: cool :)

    Pila Mulligan: thinner lines?

Adelene Dawner: lower right button :)

Pila Mulligan: there are littel dots moving and I am not doing anything :)

    Pila Mulligan: there

Adelene Dawner: The little dots are guide balls - related to the circle and arrow tools. You can disregard them,

Adelene Dawner: (Try the polygon tool)

Pila Mulligan: not quite square :)

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^

    Pila Mulligan: more square

Pila Mulligan: can it itlt now?

    Pila Mulligan: tilt

Adelene Dawner: The board can be tilted... the drawn things can't be, though, once they're drawn.

    Pila Mulligan: ok

    Pila Mulligan: oops

Adelene Dawner: Might I suggest you read the manual I gave you, Pila?

Pila Mulligan: read the manual !?

Pila Mulligan: what is this the 20th century ?

    Adelene Dawner: *giggles*

Pila Mulligan: I will, but this is fun for now :)

    Adelene Dawner: 'k ^.^

Pila Mulligan: is there an undo for a single line like that?

    Adelene Dawner: Nope.

Adelene Dawner: The polygon tool that you were using (below the one you're using now) will automatically connect the beginning and end of your drawing when you click on the tool again, or switch to a different tool, yanno. :)

    Pila Mulligan: :)

    Pila Mulligan: ahh poot :0

    Adelene Dawner: hold on

    Adelene Dawner: :)

    Pila Mulligan: that was cool

    Adelene Dawner: yep

    Pila Mulligan: thanks

Adelene Dawner: you click the thing you want to delete, then the second button from the bottom on the right, and it deletes it - can't delete just one part of a thing, but it's pretty useful anyway.

    Pila Mulligan: sounds complex

    Adelene Dawner: not really

    Pila Mulligan: opps

Adelene Dawner: see the 'yellow fading zigzag' button above the line weight control?

Pila Mulligan: can you please undo it for me Ade?

    Pila Mulligan: yes

Adelene Dawner: click your red line, then click that.

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^

    Pila Mulligan: ahah

Adelene Dawner: hard to describe, but easy to do ^.^

Pila Mulligan: any ideas for the next steps?

Pila Mulligan: Ade or Threedee would you like to conintue the drawing?

    Adelene Dawner considers.

    Pila Mulligan: http://www.jyh.dk/mandala2.gif

    Pila Mulligan: inspiration :)

    Pila Mulligan: (the url)

Pila Mulligan: ohh, nice Ade :)

    Adelene Dawner: :)

    Adelene Dawner: Three?

    Pila Mulligan: cool

Adelene Dawner: Hmm, we lost Three :)

Pila Mulligan: Threedee seems to have crashed

Pila Mulligan: how about a yellow inner circle?

Pila Mulligan: and mayeb a blue circle beweent he red and yellow?

Pila Mulligan: oh, there, better yet what yir are doing :)

Pila Mulligan: you have the necessary delicate touch :)

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^

Pila Mulligan: what tool was that?

    Adelene Dawner: Starburst :)

    Pila Mulligan: :)

Pila Mulligan: nice internal pattern also

    Adelene Dawner: mmhmm ^>^

Pila Mulligan: in the green starburst

    Pila Mulligan: bravo :)

Pila Mulligan: how about a blue circle between the red and yellow inner ones?

    Pila Mulligan: :)

    Pila Mulligan: better

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^

Pila Mulligan: I'd say more yellow but not sure how or where

    Adelene Dawner: *nods*

Adelene Dawner: I need to afk for a minute - I'll think about it, or go ahead and add it if you think of something :)

    Pila Mulligan: ok

    Adelene Dawner: nice ^.^

    Pila Mulligan: :)

Pila Mulligan: I just took a snapshot, but it may not be finished yet :P

Adelene Dawner: ah - I'm keeping my camera lined up so my snapshots will look uniform...

Pila Mulligan: maybe some blue thingys outside?

Pila Mulligan: outside the square that is

    Pila Mulligan: oui :)

Pila Mulligan: starbursts work well wiht the mandala :)

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^

Adelene Dawner: sunbursts work well in general. I'm glad I included them - I nearly didn't.

Pila Mulligan: want to make the upper and lower ones a different color?

Pila Mulligan: what would complement blue?

    Pila Mulligan: yellow?

Adelene Dawner: Let's see it in blue, I can always change them.

    Pila Mulligan: ok

    Pila Mulligan: cool

Pila Mulligan: yep symmetry works here :) -- same color that is

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^

    Pila Mulligan: :)

Pila Mulligan: how did ouy change colors?

Adelene Dawner: the green/yellow squiggle tool, right above the erase tool - applies whatever color the palette is set to to whichever object is clicked. :)

    Pila Mulligan: thnaks

Pila Mulligan: now the empty space is the outside of the square

    Pila Mulligan: not otuside

Pila Mulligan: the part inside between the big and inner circle

    Adelene Dawner: yep

    Pila Mulligan: whatevers :)

Pila Mulligan: between the square and onner circle

Pila Mulligan: is there another pattern like the starbuirst?

Adelene Dawner: not as such, but let's try this...

    Pila Mulligan: yep, that's nice

Pila Mulligan: I see I skewered the traditional mandala by making the square rectangular

    Adelene Dawner: s'ok :)

    Pila Mulligan: yep :0

Pila Mulligan: what is this pattern called?

    Pila Mulligan: squiggles?

Adelene Dawner: That's just the connect the dot tool, actually. ^.^

    Pila Mulligan: aha

Pila Mulligan: a few more dots atop the right one, maybe?

Pila Mulligan: to square em up

Adelene Dawner: let me see what I can do...

    Pila Mulligan: :)

    Pila Mulligan: equal heights :)

Pila Mulligan: I'd say we're getting to the end of it

    Adelene Dawner: :)

Pila Mulligan: I've got it in Photoshop already :)

    Adelene Dawner: hehe, cool :)

Pila Mulligan: thisis an excellent activity for PaB

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^

Pila Mulligan: emailed you the image after photoshop

    Pila Mulligan: are you goc?

    Adelene Dawner: yep

    Pila Mulligan: :)

    mandala 2.jpg

Pila Mulligan: very nice, Ade -- thank you :)

Adelene Dawner: ^.^ no problem ^.^

Pila Mulligan: yep, that's a nice shot of the mandala

Pila Mulligan: with a little practice we could be monks

    Adelene Dawner: hehehehe

Pila Mulligan: have you ever seen Tibetan monks make sand mandalas?

Adelene Dawner: I've seen a couple of videos :)

Pila Mulligan: it is very cool

Pila Mulligan: they can place a few grains of sand at a time

Pila Mulligan: and take days to make an intricate design

    Adelene Dawner: *nods*

    Pila Mulligan: then toss it

Pila Mulligan: well, I suppose it is about dinner time

    Adelene Dawner: ok ^.^

Adelene Dawner blows on the board.... whooooosh

Pila Mulligan: thanks for playing :)

    Adelene Dawner: :D

Pila Mulligan: there gose ths sand

Adelene Dawner: it was fun ^.^

    Pila Mulligan: it was fun

    Adelene Dawner: You too ^.^
