    Pila Mulligan: wow
    Pila Mulligan: hi buddha
Corvuscorva Nightfire: and a friend made an outfit called corvuscorva

Corvuscorva Nightfire: which i was just modeling at her shop for her.
Pila Mulligan: do they have that in SL?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: sort of..the shooty bits don't work as well here
Corvuscorva Nightfire: but people do alot of storytelling instead
Corvuscorva Nightfire: which i find more fun.
Pila Mulligan: I played Age of Empires long ago, but that was quite primitive, and I just played solo
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods.
Pila Mulligan: can your avi do anything with the sword? any katas?

    aurel Miles: Pila
    aurel Miles: Hi Cori
    Pila Mulligan: hi SophiaSharon
aurel Miles: i am growing my fingernails
Corvuscorva Nightfire: the sword doesn't have any gestures associated with it..but i have one somewhere that does.
aurel Miles: expect even more typos than usual
Corvuscorva Nightfire: i'm not sure i can find it, though
buddha Nirvana: hi aurel, hi sophia
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: hahah, Aurel.
Pila Mulligan: there are some nice tai chi mats in SL
    aurel Miles: hi Buddha
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: Hi sophia
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi all :)
Corvuscorva Nightfire: there are for sure.
Pila Mulligan: no excuses required, aurel -- typos are us
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: that's for sure!
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: How is everyone?
    Pila Mulligan: fine thanks, Corvi
    Sophia brings up stillness...
SophiaSharon Larnia: very still for once thank goodness :))
    Corvuscorva Nightfire smiles.
buddha Nirvana: how still are we prepared to get before we feel the need to make a wave?
    Pila Mulligan: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh yes that is a great question
SophiaSharon Larnia: I wonder why it goes that way there are some many reasons why it would i guess
buddha Nirvana: yea, i observed that i go in cycles, from stillness to ...well, not still

    Sleep overtakes
SophiaSharon Larnia: so sleepy, off to go to bed, night all :))
    Pila Mulligan: bye Sophia sharon
Corvuscorva Nightfire: bye, Sophia, sleep well!

aurel Miles: see you all soon!
    Pila Mulligan: bye aurel
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: bye, Aurel...
Pila Mulligan: I was hoping Threedee would be here, I got a pretty lame joke by email today that I tihnk he would like :) ... if there are no objections I'll put it in the record :)
    buddha Nirvana: nite
Pila Mulligan: A fellow goes for a meal at a Chinese restaurant and orders 'Chicken Surprise.' The waiter brings the meal in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as he is about to serve himself, the lid of the pot rises slightly and he briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down. Rather perturbed, he calls the waiter over and demands an explanation. 'Please sir,' says the waiter, 'what did you order?' The husband replies, 'Chicken Surprise.' 'Ah! So sorry,' says the waiter, 'I bring you Peeking Duck!'
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: hahah
Pila Mulligan: Threedee seems fond of puns
    buddha Nirvana: :))
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: rather.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire grins.
buddha Nirvana: nite corvu, thanks for letting me go to bed witgh a smile pila:)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nite, buddha!
    Pila Mulligan: bye buddha
    buddha Nirvana: nite
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: well.
Corvuscorva Nightfire is laughing a little...we sure do entertain well..i think we just put three people to sleep!
    Poetry
Pila Mulligan: a former neighbor on Maui won the Pulitzer prize for poetry today :)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: oh that's great!!!
    Pila Mulligan: isn't it
Pila Mulligan: very nice fellow, William Merwin
    Corvuscorva Nightfire googles
Pila Mulligan: oh, I see he also won it in 1971, I didn't know that
    Pila Mulligan: from Wiki
Corvuscorva Nightfire looks at a poem...
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: ohhh
Pila Mulligan: isn't it nice poetry :)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: it is wonderful
Pila Mulligan: he's an interesting combination of emotion and Zen
Corvuscorva Nightfire: and now and then
Pila Mulligan: wow, he is 82 now - time flies
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: wow
Pila Mulligan: we first met when he was 59 and I was 40
Corvuscorva Nightfire thinks about this...about her friends now, and herself.
    stevenaia Michinaga: waves
    Pila Mulligan: his Steve
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: Hi, Steve!
    stevenaia Michinaga: how's the beach
Corvuscorva Nightfire: wet and cold, but beautiful.
Pila Mulligan: April seems a little early for beach weather
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: yeah..a little.
Pila Mulligan: but not for just being by the ocean
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: exactly.
Pila Mulligan: steve, you missed a really bad joke
    Corvuscorva Nightfire grins.
Pila Mulligan: can you wait and see it in the log, or are you feeling masochistic?
stevenaia Michinaga: I'll read it later if you don;t edt out of the log
    Pila Mulligan: :)
Pila Mulligan: I can replay it
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: i'm the GoC..promise i won't!
    stevenaia Michinaga: sure
Pila Mulligan: but only on request
    Reprise
Pila Mulligan: a Threedee kind of joke
    stevenaia Michinaga: 'hmmm
stevenaia Michinaga: how old are you?
    Pila Mulligan: must I say?
    stevenaia Michinaga: no, tat's ok
Pila Mulligan: I got it from a freind ten years older than me, and I'm 63 :)
stevenaia Michinaga: at least you prepared me
    Pila Mulligan: :0
    Corvuscorva Nightfire laughs.
    stevenaia Michinaga: great shoes Crovi
stevenaia Michinaga: from what I see of them
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: thanks.
    stevenaia Michinaga: Pila crashed
stevenaia Michinaga: where did you get your new crow?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: it's my old crow
Corvuscorva Nightfire: i've had it from grendels almost since i started
    stevenaia Michinaga: w/b
    Pila Mulligan: thanks
    Coincidence
Pila Mulligan: life is so full of coincidences ..
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: yes it is
Pila Mulligan: I crashed just as I got a phone call from the old fellow seidng the joke earlier today by email
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: ohhhh
    Pila Mulligan: :)
    Thinking on RL PaB facility
stevenaia Michinaga: I've been thinking about the PaB RL location, not the location but the make up of the location
    Pila Mulligan: the facilities?
stevenaia Michinaga: other than the live-in "apartment"
stevenaia Michinaga: all we have really needed up to this point is a place like this, or a tea house or other pavillion
stevenaia Michinaga: that ansd a place for pilgims to sleep
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: for sure, that
    Pila Mulligan: yes
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: maybe a kitchen
    Pila Mulligan: a bathhouse
stevenaia Michinaga: water focused place to sit around?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: or stinky pilgrims, yes.
Pila Mulligan: it would be nice
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods.
    stevenaia Michinaga: w/ pillows :)
    Pila Mulligan: & tatami :)
stevenaia Michinaga: fthrowing sized, of course]
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: yes!!!
Corvuscorva Nightfire: throwing sized pillows are very important.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: especially with all the punny people around.
    Pila Mulligan: :)
Pila Mulligan: don't abuse oyu elders
Corvuscorva Nightfire bats you lightly with a pillow.
    Pila Mulligan: your*
    Pila Mulligan: thank you
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: np
Pila Mulligan: and did these ideas lead to further thoughts Steve?
    stevenaia Michinaga: pillow storage?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: haha
stevenaia Michinaga: no, just running the thoughts
stevenaia Michinaga: what sort of places are condusive to what we do
Pila Mulligan: just about any place actually, it seems to me
stevenaia Michinaga: but the circular arrangement works well
    Pila Mulligan: yes
Pila Mulligan: how was the Princeton meeting?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: outdoors works well here.
stevenaia Michinaga: I notices there's no PaB banner here
    Pila Mulligan: :)
    Pila Mulligan: I'd prefer outdoors
stevenaia Michinaga: like there was in out last pavilion
Pila Mulligan: but some prefer indooors
stevenaia Michinaga: this is semi enclosed, could be with, open to the out of doors smetimes, closed at others
    Pila Mulligan: true
Corvuscorva Nightfire nods..that would work better, i think.
stevenaia Michinaga: day or night seem not to matter ehre
    Pila Mulligan: screens and shutters
Corvuscorva Nightfire: so that it could be indoors or out as the weather permits.
stevenaia Michinaga: two places or one flexible one
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods
Pila Mulligan: how would you critique the place for the first RL meeting in Princeton, Steve -- what were its strengths and weaknesses?
stevenaia Michinaga: conference take, long rectangular, but lage enough that it worked well, but we couldn't fit 24 there like we could here
stevenaia Michinaga: another ring of pillows would make the circle to big I think
    Pila Mulligan: poof
stevenaia Michinaga: I am 7 meters from Corvi here
    Pila Mulligan: oh, you moved
Pila Mulligan: I thought you crashed
stevenaia Michinaga: measuring with Ade's multi radar measuring thingy
    Pila Mulligan: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Pila Mulligan: well, the second place seems noticably quite outdoorsish
stevenaia Michinaga: now I'm behing you
    stevenaia Michinaga: 1 meter away
    Pila Mulligan: I see :)
Pila Mulligan: I like outdoor space myself, but somefolks may be uncomfortable meeting outdoors like this
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods.
    Pila Mulligan: in real life
stevenaia Michinaga: so 9 meters is 27 feet ish in Rl, might be a bit far but those detais are for later
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods.
Pila Mulligan: a 20' water feature is large
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: too large!
Corvuscorva Nightfire: something small and short that doesn't cut us off from each other.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: but is very there.
stevenaia Michinaga: jsut thinking in terms of how many people can sit aroiund meditate and tale at the same time comfortably and not be to far away from each other
    stevenaia Michinaga: *talk
Pila Mulligan: well, part of it is how many can sit on cushions in real life
Pila Mulligan: and how many need chairs
Pila Mulligan: all day on a mat can be toguh for osme folks
stevenaia Michinaga: ot benched around the perimeter, those who can't sit can come in avatar
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods!
Pila Mulligan: most outdoor meetings here use picnic tables :)
Pila Mulligan: or the beach :)
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps a giant rough table, very arther-esk
    stevenaia Michinaga: round
    Pila Mulligan: :) nice image
Pila Mulligan: PABs os the round table
    Pila Mulligan: of*
stevenaia Michinaga: let the PR dept work on that one
    Corvuscorva Nightfire grins.
Pila Mulligan: well, I'm planning on some parts of thes eideas for my place -- it was already in the plan -- but with tents
Pila Mulligan: Pema's first question was whether there could be huts -- before he knew about the lot for sale here
stevenaia Michinaga: a good start for RL mock-ups
Pila Mulligan: some people are not tent-ish
stevenaia Michinaga: huts, like his last name?
    Pila Mulligan: yes --
    Corvuscorva Nightfire laughs.
Pila Mulligan: I noticed that too :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: lol
Pila Mulligan: I wouold use a different word, but he kept using huts :)
Pila Mulligan: there are some very nice geodesic huts actually
Pila Mulligan: big tent size but solid
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: they can be as comfortable as a hut, i think?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: ac/heat is the issue
Pila Mulligan: I prefer a tent, but I like camping
stevenaia Michinaga: somethign that cold be expanded upward w/ balconies
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: in the US.
    stevenaia Michinaga: like this
    Pila Mulligan: yes, Corvi
    Pila Mulligan: and Steve
Pila Mulligan: the shape of this relies a lot on height
Pila Mulligan: and it is a nice shape
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, Storm worked wonders
stevenaia Michinaga: add panels and enclose it and it;s close to
    Pila Mulligan: yep
Pila Mulligan: none of us are going to the next real life retreat, as I recall
stevenaia Michinaga: 12 pillows / ring, nine sides to the pavilion
stevenaia Michinaga: and two crows, 3 w/ Corvi
    Corvuscorva Nightfire grins.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: did you count the one on my shoulder?
Pila Mulligan: with a diameter of 20+ feet that's quite wide spacing for the pillows
    stevenaia Michinaga: ok, 4
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods.
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, the distortions of SL sizes
Pila Mulligan: with a dining room and an outdoor pavillion, the facility could handle two types of meeting envrionment
Pila Mulligan: chairs and tables indoors and mats outside
Corvuscorva Nightfire nods..that sounds pretty good!
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes
stevenaia Michinaga: well I must go, enjoy your vacation Covi
    stevenaia Michinaga: see you Pila
Pila Mulligan: nice meeting of the RL committee, Steve -- see you next time
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: bye, Steve..
Corvuscorva Nightfire: glad to have had the chance to visit.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: ok..i'm ending the official session, now
    Pila Mulligan: ok
