Nymf Hathaway: remembers the stories of her grandparents about WWII where they didn't have soap anymore... after the war my grandmother collected soap...just in case

Riddle Sideways: but there are some near me that tell the odest stories about me

Nymf Hathaway: No one does....what majority sees as normal... is accepted as normal, but majority isn't wise so :)
Riddle Sideways: majority is often the dumbest common denominator

Riddle Sideways: I saw a really good tv show that had the dumbest commercials
Nymf Hathaway: should have taken a couple of days that program

Nymf Hathaway: Asian commercials can be odd
Nymf Hathaway: althugh...according to western point of view :)

Nymf Hathaway: well I think a good commercial in general is rare
Riddle Sideways: then a good one is played to death
Riddle Sideways: the 15min beel just reminded me that my bell at work has quit
Riddle Sideways: I hadn't noticed
Nymf Hathaway: Why do you have a bell at work?
Riddle Sideways: It started as the PaB 15min gong
Riddle Sideways: then I told my boss that it was for my consentration
Riddle Sideways: at 15 min intervals I needed to refocus

Riddle Sideways: I watch a little tv now that I have a recorder
Eliza Madrigal: This is what makes TiVo a marvelous invention...that one may pause whenever they like. i miss the tivo more than the tv since we turned it off.
Riddle Sideways: yes, can pause on our schedule

Riddle Sideways: and can fast-forward through adverts

Nymf Hathaway: Nice... and yes I agree, much better
Eliza Madrigal: I rent quite a bit of tv on dvd sometimes... especially over summer
Riddle Sideways: recorder can be setup to record shoes that I have not seen
Riddle Sideways: skip ones I have

Eliza Madrigal: I just finished Twin Peaks on dvd, because it came up on conversations over and over again... quite bizarre
Riddle Sideways: I remember watching the first year
Riddle Sideways: really bizarre
Eliza Madrigal: was frustrating not to have resolution to anything by the end, but at least now I know what the references are :)

Riddle Sideways: I have been watching the BattleStar Gallactica series
Riddle Sideways: am half way thru the last year
Riddle Sideways: do not know howit comes out
Riddle Sideways: oh dear, am having connection probs again

Riddle Sideways: no, the arms/hands were wiggling
Riddle Sideways: but nothing comes out :)
Eliza Madrigal: heh...thought you were going to tell me the whole series, which I did hear was great because of the strong characters
Riddle Sideways: for many years I did not watch tv
Riddle Sideways: then some great series came to attention
Riddle Sideways: BSG has strong characters that is more then sci-fi
Eliza Madrigal: In some ways TV is better now than it used to be, but I don't like the household dynamic of Tvs on constantly
Eliza Madrigal: which I kind of grew up in... have been mindful not to fall into that
Riddle Sideways: yes, when growing up, tv was only after 7pm
Riddle Sideways: then it became all the time
Riddle Sideways: now it is just the recorder when I want
Eliza Madrigal: With the recorders and dvd, thankfully one can watch tv when they want and what they want, yes! I still try to catch Charlie Rose at night :)
Riddle Sideways: daugther only watches during her break
Riddle Sideways: I have never watched Charlie Rose, but the people at resturant table next to mine last week were very loud about it

Riddle Sideways: they each wanted to shout over the others about "the show about..."
Riddle Sideways: "but, wiat the one about ..."

Eliza Madrigal: I can't imagine Charlie generating that much excitement!
Riddle Sideways: They seems so animated
Riddle Sideways: they were probably in their 70's
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, that explains it... my inner 70 year old understands
Riddle Sideways: and probably usually very sedate
Riddle Sideways: ah that inner70 yearold
Riddle Sideways: the old know it all, senile
Eliza Madrigal: Well, she actually feels about 17 still, but she spends a lot of her time putting on face cream and walking around in the yard talking to squirrels
Eliza Madrigal: except when Charlie is on
Eliza Madrigal: though of course by then he'll be in re-runs
