Wol Euler recovered this session from the autologging database. Adelene was the guardian.

    Adelene Dawner: Hello :)

    Pema Pera: Hi Adelene!

Pema Pera: long time no see

    Pema Pera: how are you?

Adelene Dawner: Yeah, I really haven't been coming recently. I'm doing well, though. You?

Pema Pera: fine, back from a series of trip, now at home for three days, off to Japan again tomorrow :)

    Adelene Dawner: wow.

    Pema Pera: Ot

Pema Pera: It's really a great avatar combination you have made yourself!

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^ thanks

Pema Pera: the various elements . . . unusual but somehow fitting very well

    Adelene Dawner: ^.^

Pema Pera: something wild and tender at the same time

Adelene Dawner: I've actually been wearing this av for quite a while now, so I've had plenty of time to tweak it. I'm actually almost ready to start working on a new one. ^.^

    Pema Pera: :-)

Adelene Dawner: I suppose I should mention... I'm going to be writing an email later today to the group, asking someone to take over my slot. I haven't been keeping up with it very well... or really paying much attention to the group at all, really.

Pema Pera: thanks for having carried your slot(s) for so long! With some of the newer guardians coming in, we probably will find a replacement soon

    Pema Pera: Hi Sophia!

Adelene Dawner: Good. :) I'm willing to keep it for another week or two if it takes a bit to find someone... it's not that I *can't* do it, it's just, well, I'm not very reliable any more.

    sophia Placebo: hi

    Adelene Dawner: hi Sophia :)

    sophia Placebo: hi :)

    Adelene Dawner: (I'm lagging badly)

    sophia Placebo: me too

Pema Pera: yes, that would be great, Adelene, if you can hang on to it for a couple weeks. I expect that we can find someone else soon.

Pema Pera: Will you send an email to the group, asking for a replacement?

    Adelene Dawner nods.

    Pema Pera: Hi Visitor!

    sophia Placebo: hi Visitor

    sophia Placebo: hi gaya

Pema Pera: Have you been here before, Visitor?

    Pema Pera: Hi Gaya!

    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello everyone :)

Pema Pera: Visitor, we get together a few times a day to chat about the nature of reality, and everything else, and we have a wiki http://playasbeing.wik.is/ -- We record our conversations there. Do you mind being included in our blogs?

Pema Pera: Good to see you again, Gaya, how are you?

Gaya Ethaniel: I'm well thank you, busy setting up wiki for Philosophical Seminar group :) How are you Pema? Are you back now?

Pema Pera: Yes, back in New York, will fly to Osaka, Japan, tomorrow morning :)

Gaya Ethaniel: ah back into the suitcase again :)

    Pema Pera: :)

Gaya Ethaniel: So what were you all talking about before I came in?

    sophia Placebo: :)

Pema Pera: we were quite silent for quite a while . . . :-)

Gaya Ethaniel: ahhh :) I am the disturber of the peace!

Pema Pera: no no, the ornament to it!

Gaya Ethaniel: aaww ty Pema :D

sophia Placebo: gaya did i tell you befor that your afatar is super cute :)

Gaya Ethaniel whispers quietly, thank you sophia :)

Gaya Ethaniel: You look different today sophia, new hair?

sophia Placebo: yes new all :)

    Gaya Ethaniel: :D

Gaya Ethaniel: While I was editing older logs of the seminars, I found out you study medicine sophia.

    Gaya Ethaniel: Is that right?

sophia Placebo: yes , you shouldnt edited that page

Gaya Ethaniel: Just fixing typos mainly.

Gaya Ethaniel: You want that comment deleted?

Gaya Ethaniel: Adding logs now ... but this is the address, http://philosophical-seminar.wikia.com/

sophia Placebo: hmm , no it is ok it came out

    Gaya Ethaniel: ah ok

Pema Pera: is there anything you'd like to discuss, Gaya?

Pema Pera: given that we haven't started on any topic yet

Gaya Ethaniel: hm ... I was talking to a friend today about direction of one's life. He was changing his major.

Gaya Ethaniel: His dilemma was 'not sure if this is right change' and 'cannot know until I try out'.

    sophia Placebo nods

Pema Pera: yes, we all face many choices . . .

Gaya Ethaniel: Guess the fear of unknown and uncertainty is a difficult one to handle when one changes one's direction in life ...

Pema Pera: trying out seems like a good approach!

Gaya Ethaniel: So ... how do you all deal with such fear?

    Pema Pera: exploring

Gaya Ethaniel: Yes that is one of my solution, just try out.

sophia Placebo: in some cases you cant just try out as there is no -go back - button

    Pema Pera: that's true

    Gaya Ethaniel nods.

Pema Pera: in that case you can try to simulate, as best as you can, by thinking through what might happen -- but such a thought experiment of course is no replacement for the real thing

sophia Placebo: plus time ,money ,effort and self esteem are all consumed by trials

    Pema Pera: yes

    Gaya Ethaniel nods.

Pema Pera: but can also give energy and self esteem back

    Pema Pera: and especially inspiration

Gaya Ethaniel: Or it can lead to something else too ...

    Pema Pera: something unexpected, yes

sophia Placebo: but fear can be replaced by knowladge

    Pema Pera nods.

    Gaya Ethaniel: Please say more?

sophia Placebo: seeking wise advices and keeping in mind that these advices are but personal expirences

sophia Placebo: a mindfull person learns from his mistakes , a wise learns from others mistakes

sophia Placebo: in his case he need to be wise

    Pema Pera: :)

Gaya Ethaniel: I'm not entirely sure one can learn from others mistake in fundamental way.

sophia Placebo: and mindfull not to fall in the same feeling again if he takes other major

Pema Pera: Interesting and important topic! Alas, I have my own decision to make: I'll have to return to RL -- have to fold my laundry, and start packing for my next 6-week trip . . .

Pema Pera: see you all soon again!

Gaya Ethaniel: Bye Pema, enjoy your day :)

sophia Placebo: :) take care pema have a nice trip

    sophia Placebo hates the laundry

    Gaya Ethaniel: Is Adele afk?

    Adelene Dawner: functionally. :)

    Gaya Ethaniel: ah ok :)

    sophia Placebo: hehe

sophia Placebo: what do you mean by fundemntal way?

Gaya Ethaniel: You know ... I can hear about possible pitfalls or mistakes from others but I won't really learn from it until I try out and fail.

sophia Placebo: ask those who suceed

sophia Placebo: and those who enjoyed that choice

sophia Placebo: some of the good things in their eyes are not good in your friend eyes

Gaya Ethaniel: That's right ... we are all different. I just said talk it over with various people close to him and make a decision on his own that feels right.

sophia Placebo: plus those who suceed- not all of them- are more aware of those who fail mistakes

    Gaya Ethaniel: That's true.

Gaya Ethaniel: As Adele wisely said once, we all choose what we want at the end one way or the other.

    sophia Placebo: true

Gaya Ethaniel: So he will choose whatever he wants to do despite however he represents that decision to people around him.

Gaya Ethaniel wants to activiate the sage, Adelene Dawner.

    Adelene Dawner: hmm?

Adelene Dawner: ...ok, I'm lagging and Squee is not. :P

    Gaya Ethaniel: :D

Gaya Ethaniel: Well Squee, I haven't met many people who are truly interested in others.

sophia Placebo: see you later , goodnight

Gaya Ethaniel: I'd say I'm very much caught up with myself in many ways.

    Adelene Dawner: 'night, Sophia.

Gaya Ethaniel: Good night sophia :)

Adelene Dawner: ...silly SL client, I'm not typing.

    Gaya Ethaniel: That happens :)

Gaya Ethaniel: This is your GoC session?

    Adelene Dawner: mmhmm

Gaya Ethaniel: I haven't been at this session for a while. I stayed at home today because of the weather :)

Adelene Dawner: perhaps my last one - I'm resigning. I'm just not doing any kind of a good job keeping on top of it recently.

Gaya Ethaniel: ah ... ok I know that feelings ...

Gaya Ethaniel: Hope you find a replacement quickly.

    Adelene Dawner: me, too

Gaya Ethaniel: Did I tell you I visited a few open sims? I liked ReactionGrid a lot, quite stable and friendly owners :)

Adelene Dawner: cool :) I haven't checked out many of the others yet.

Gaya Ethaniel: Which one do you work with?

Gaya Ethaniel: We can leave this bit out of log if you'd like

Gaya Ethaniel: Not really relevant >.<

Adelene Dawner: 3de has its own :)

Gaya Ethaniel: ah ... you are building the grid?

    Adelene Dawner: Something like that.
