The Guardian for this meeting was Eliza Madrigal, filling in for Pema. The comments are by Eliza Madrigal.

This was a sleepy session, with many fuzzy boundaries.

I was joined by Adams, and a real surprise at this time, Gaya.

Eliza Madrigal waves to Adams :)
    Adams Rubble: Hello Eliza :)
    Adams Rubble is sleepwalking :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh you are in good company then.
Eliza Madrigal: This is a dream
    Adams Rubble: Oh good :)
Adams Rubble: I like it when I dream of PaB
    Adams Rubble: and good friends
    Eliza Madrigal: Me too :)
Adams Rubble: I often do not remember what people actually said when I dream of PaB
    Eliza Madrigal: No? Just images?
Adams Rubble: maybe we could dream up a chat log
    Eliza Madrigal: hehe
Eliza Madrigal: I've dreamt of reading chat logs before
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I don;t remember ever doing that but coudl see where it might be a pointer
Eliza Madrigal: Well, I wonder what I've read...
Eliza Madrigal: there are certainly days I wake feeling like I've been studying something
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I dreamed I went to Philadelphia today
Adams Rubble: definetely seems like a dream
    Eliza Madrigal: A nice adventure?
Adams Rubble: I dreamed I was in a big hall with lots of Chinese statues, most of them Buddhist
Eliza Madrigal: Ooh, very nice adventure then
Adams Rubble: and the hall was like a large Seljuk mosque space
Adams Rubble: like they built in Russia
Eliza Madrigal: which is now in you, in a way
    Adams Rubble looks inside
    Eliza Madrigal sees lights on
Adams Rubble: I see lots of smiley faces (giggles)
Eliza Madrigal: hahah... those are candle flames
    Adams Rubble: oh
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: winking at you

Adams tells us wonderful Lenape stories

Adams Rubble: I saw an exhibit on the Lenape, a native american people who lives in New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania and southern NY, maybe Delaware too
Adams Rubble: When the settlers came they asked "how many are you?". The Lenape did not know what to answer because they considered the rock and plants and animals, etc. part of "us". The settlers did not understand this.
    Eliza Madrigal: How beautiful!
Eliza Madrigal: They couldn't locate 'you'
Adams Rubble: The settlers asked how can you wear so few clothes when it is so cold
Adams Rubble: and the Lenape answered "we are all face"
Adams Rubble: the settlers did not understand
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Adams Rubble: and the Lenape answered that you do not cover your face when it is cold
Adams Rubble: your face ihas become tough
Adams Rubble: We are all face and so all of us has become tough

Adams Rubble: There was a spirit named Messing
Adams Rubble: and he looked at the two-legged creatures and was dismayed
Adams Rubble: and he went to the creator and said, these two-legged creatures are going to destroy your creation
Adams Rubble: they will eat everything
Adams Rubble: you should destroy them before they do
Adams Rubble: and the creator said we will have a contest to see who decides
    Adams Rubble: and Messiong agreed
Adams Rubble: The creator said he who moves this mountain will decide
Adams Rubble: Messing tried and tried with all his power and could not move the mountain
Adams Rubble: he turned aside and heard a whoosh
Adams Rubble: and the mountain smacked him on the side of his face
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Adams Rubble: and it seems to have knocked some sense in hum
Adams Rubble: and so he asked the creator to allow him to dwell in the woodlands to help the two-legged creatures
Adams Rubble: that he would always supply enough deer for them to eat
Adams Rubble: (he seems to be doing a very good job of it today)
Adams Rubble: (deer all over the place)

Eliza Madrigal: thank you for sharing these stories!
Adams Rubble: I seem to have dreamed them...or did I?
Eliza Madrigal: Maybe you are their dreaming, telling their stories
Adams Rubble: they are dreaming me? :)
Eliza Madrigal: Well what do we know :)
    Adams Rubble: zzzzzzz
Eliza Madrigal: blub blub blub... feels herself sinking
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: Your tag would be a good one for the Lenape :)

(I was wearing the PaB 'Cultivator' tag)

Eliza Madrigal: What more can you say about them? I'm quite unfamiliar until tonight/
Adams Rubble: They were a very peaceful group
Adams Rubble: The Iroqios who were more warlike called them "women"
    Adams Rubble: Hello Gaya
Eliza Madrigal: Wow, Hi Gaya :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Adams and Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: Adams has been telling me Lenape stories ... very neat
Adams Rubble: The amazing thing is that while the settlers did everything they could to dribve them out or exterminate them
    Gaya Ethaniel listens :)
Adams Rubble: some of them went underground
Adams Rubble: and lived secret lives for 200 years
    Eliza Madrigal: oh wow
Adams Rubble: until recently they were recognized as a legitimate tribe
Adams Rubble: many of them intermarried with the German settlers
Eliza Madrigal: How did it come about that they were finally recognized?
Adams Rubble: So people were seeing them but not seeing them :)
Adams Rubble: I am not sure of the exact process. The Native American peoples in general have been working on this for at least 50 years
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah
Adams Rubble: Buff Saint Marie did much to raise consciousness in the 1960s
    Adams Rubble: Buffy
Adams Rubble: she wrote some great songs
Adams Rubble: do you know her work?
    Gaya Ethaniel shakes her head.
Eliza Madrigal: I don't think so. Her name sounds familiar though, so maybe without realizing
Adams Rubble: I think she is on YouTube
Adams Rubble: with everyone else :)
Adams Rubble: Sooo, nice to see you Gaya :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :) ty
Eliza Madrigal: (Gaya, new bunny? Very cute)
Adams Rubble: Eliza and I are dreaming this sesssion tonight
Eliza Madrigal: Did she write Circle Game??
    Adams Rubble: yes
Eliza Madrigal: I know that from Joni

Gaya's dream brings her into ours

Gaya Ethaniel: I had a dream and decided to get up to think about it ... thought I come to PaB meanwhile :)
    Adams Rubble: yes
    Gaya Ethaniel: [No same bunny]
Adams Rubble: yes, we did that too...are dreaming we are here :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: hehe... I don't know why you look different tonight Gaya :) Must be an aura :)))
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Interesting to see that I meet you two here and met another group of PaBers in my dream.
Adams Rubble: I am dreeaming I am talking to blue person and a bunny :)

    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: haha yes, you are
    Eliza Madrigal: dreaming that is
    Eliza Madrigal: maybe
Eliza Madrigal is not really blue
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, yes I've known of her before... looking at Youtube...http://www.youtube.com/wat...eature=related
    Gaya Ethaniel looks ...
Adams Rubble: Now that the Buffalo have gone is one her consciousness raising songs
Adams Rubble: ah yes, Universal Soldier :)
Gaya Ethaniel: No I haven't seen/heard of her before ty for the link :)
Eliza Madrigal: Always something to see people who just speak from their gut
Adams Rubble: yes, Buffy grows on you :)
Eliza Madrigal: Gaya, btw thanks for adding the pic to the log the other day!
Gaya Ethaniel: ah you saw? yw :)
Gaya Ethaniel: So this lady is from that tribe you mentioned Adams?
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Adams Rubble: no, different group Gaya
Gaya Ethaniel: ah ok. I really don't know much about Indians :)
Adams Rubble: They were badly mistreated
    Adams Rubble: and dispersed
Adams Rubble: and ended up on reservations imnpoverished
Gaya Ethaniel nods ... kind of a typical story in many colonies.
    Adams Rubble: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Adams Rubble: what I found very interesting is that the Lenape have been living amongst us all these years on their native lands
Gaya Ethaniel: They own the lands?
Adams Rubble: no, they were taken away from them
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah ok
Adams Rubble: but some are landowners like the rest of us I guess
    Adams Rubble: many intermarried
Eliza Madrigal: When my oldest daughter was born, she called me "etsi". For whatever reason, this was a sound she'd make to get my attention. When I visited a Cherokee museum in Tulsa one year, I learned that "Etsi" is mother in Cherokee
    Gaya Ethaniel: oh
    Adams Rubble: oh wow!
Eliza Madrigal: :) Not right after she was born of course... hehe
Adams Rubble: hehe. that would be a little suggestive if she did :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: If I'm not mistaken, Cherokee is the best-documented/kept language?
Adams Rubble: I heard some Lenape todaay :)
Eliza Madrigal: It sounds like you had quite a wonderful experience, and now we benefit too. :)

    Connecting the dots

Eliza Madrigal: Gaya, also, this is an odd time for you to be on isn't it?
Adams Rubble wonders if it was a dream inside a dream
Eliza Madrigal: all that we see or seem
Adams Rubble: very late for Gaya
    Eliza Madrigal: Thoughtful?
Gaya Ethaniel: Just wrote some notes on my diary about the dream ...
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Adams Rubble: good idea :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes if you see me at 1 pm session, something's up like a dream etc. :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: 7pm*
Eliza Madrigal: You write daily, Gaya?
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah :)
Gaya Ethaniel: mm ... not daily but very frequently :)
Adams Rubble: It's a bit like the 1 am for us
    Eliza Madrigal: yes!
    Gaya Ethaniel: :) indeed
Gaya Ethaniel: I have a question then if you're curious about the dream ...
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Adams Rubble listening
Gaya Ethaniel: When you try to see what connects a group of people to your life ... that is not obvious where would you start?
Eliza Madrigal: Hm... can you elaborate a little?
Adams Rubble: sometimes things just come to us in time
Gaya Ethaniel: I saw 3 people in my dream [one of the segment of the dream] and I can't see what connects them as a group to me.
Gaya Ethaniel: yeah ... that's what I think Adams. I will come to me.
Eliza Madrigal: Sometimes they represent different people
    Eliza Madrigal: Or settings
Adams Rubble: sometimes with dreams it takes a few days for them to become clear
    Eliza Madrigal: very true
Eliza Madrigal: Writing it out helps a lot, also
    Adams Rubble: yes
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes ... tend to be 3-4 days to a week for me.
Eliza Madrigal: Sometimes I think the dream was nthing much, but then write a page and stand back startled
Adams Rubble: some of my dreams never come clear
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Adams Rubble: but I don;t worry...if I don;t get something important, my unconscious wilol try something different to help me understand
Gaya Ethaniel: I don't 'look for' anything in my dreams normally ... but a few I do wonder about.
Eliza Madrigal: I think we instinctively know when there is more to see in something
    Adams Rubble: yes Eliza
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
Adams Rubble: If you are bothered by it, it is something you want to know :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Adams Rubble: (not sure that sentence made sense)
    Eliza Madrigal: it did
    Gaya Ethaniel: I do :)
    Adams Rubble giggles
    Adams Rubble: oh good :)
Gaya Ethaniel: It's like what Pila says ... feet going numb, bothering you.
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eliza Madrigal: :) Haven't seen Pila in a bit... must be busy
    Adams Rubble: maybe on vacation
Eliza Madrigal: Or he is dreaming and telling us to remember him
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Adams Rubble: do people in Hawaii need to go on vacation?
Gaya Ethaniel: I saw him ... mm ... think on Thursday.
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: hahaha Adams. I don't think so
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: If it would help Gaya, you could describ the dream for us
    Eliza Madrigal: *describe
Gaya Ethaniel: It's ok, it will come to me eventually thanks though :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles, okay
Gaya Ethaniel: I know the setting - I took it off from a film I watched last night. The significant part is the people I saw really.
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, yes and difficult to translate how each of those people might come into play

Hey, you really never know what might open something up... (grin)

Eliza Madrigal: Maybe as you lay down, ask them?
    Gaya Ethaniel: mhm :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: heheheh mm ... I don't think I'd do that/
    Eliza Madrigal: No? hehe
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: After all it's what I see in them, not really what they are ... make sense?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, you'd be seeing/hearing them still
Adams Rubble: maybe they will come into Eliza's or my dreams tonight. Maybe they are making the rounds :)
    Eliza Madrigal: haha
Gaya Ethaniel: Or what I think is what they are etc.
    Gaya Ethaniel guffaws.
Eliza Madrigal wonders if she should share some of her dream from the other night when Tarmel called me
Eliza Madrigal: (she didn't really..but I heard a voice in the dream - hah)
Gaya Ethaniel: Please feel free :)
Eliza Madrigal: She called to tell me everyone was arriving in Miami for the retreat
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: But I was on a dull date, and my phone was broken
Eliza Madrigal: and a laptop plug wouldn't fit
    Eliza Madrigal: ...pretty funny really
Gaya Ethaniel: [are you attending the PaB retreat btw?]
    Eliza Madrigal: No :)
Eliza Madrigal: Thus, the dream I think
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah :)
Adams Rubble: we are feeling the barriers
Adams Rubble: I feel them too
Eliza Madrigal: I found it very funny... a funny dream
Gaya Ethaniel: Please say more Adams? About barriers.
Eliza Madrigal: I wonder about doing something here, those of us not attending... not sure what, but worth thinking about
Adams Rubble: Funny, I read that as bunny dream buit that was the wrong dreamer
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Adams Rubble: I was referring to the things that are keeping each of us from going to the retreat Gaya...money, time, work, etc.
Gaya Ethaniel: Eliza, what do you think about the retreat? How do you feel about the idea in general? This could be helpful to think about maybe.
Adams Rubble: Eliza was making her own barroers
Eliza Madrigal: I love the idea. I've never been on one.
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah ok Adams
Eliza Madrigal: I am rather shy in RL though, so it would be odd to meet several PaBers at the same time
Eliza Madrigal: If I could manage it, I'd jump :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I feel part of it in a way though, or at least after the dream

A retreat is like a heaven...

Eliza Madrigal: We have quite a heaven here sometimes :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Oftentimes
    Gaya Ethaniel: Where is 'here'?
Eliza Madrigal: And I feel part of it doing the excercizes.
Eliza Madrigal: Pab...here in SL... the time we spend exploring together
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: with each other
    Eliza Madrigal: at heart

Adams Rubble: I hate to be a whimp but I had a good bit of sun today and am sinking fast
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Eliza Madrigal: :) yes Adams, a good night's sleep is in store for you
Gaya Ethaniel: Have good rest Adams :)
Eliza Madrigal: Sweet bunny dreams :)
Adams Rubble is looking forward to it :)
    Eliza Madrigal: hehe
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Adams Rubble: bye Eliza and Gaya :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I will go off and write some stuff too before heading back to bed :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Night
    Gaya Ethaniel: Good night :)
Eliza Madrigal: Okay Gaya, I hope it comes clear for you
Gaya Ethaniel: Thank you, see you again Eliza tomorrow I hope :)
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to see you in this odd, sleepy session
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Yes! :)
    Gaya Ethaniel waves.#
