The Guardian for this meeting was Adelene Dawner. The comments are by Adelene Dawner.

    doug Sosa: (hi)
    Adelene Dawner: hi :)
    --BELL--
    Adelene Dawner: Corvi ^>^
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: Hi, Ade, Doug.
    doug Sosa: (hi)
    Adelene Dawner: ^.^
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi 3 beings
    doug Sosa: :)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: Hi, Eos!
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi corvu ^_^
Eos Amaterasu: pink being tonight :-)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: grins.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: it's the light, I think.
Eos Amaterasu: "she comes in colors everywhere, she combs her hair, she's like a rainbow"
Corvuscorva Nightfire smiles at the sound of his singing.
Eos Amaterasu: the pink brought out the music
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods.
Eos Amaterasu: or the sense of someone doing that - what 's up that sleeve?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: smiles.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: I can't think how to start us anymore.
Eos Amaterasu: you can't get no "start me up"?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: laughs.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: we used to ask each other about the 9 seconds.
    Eos Amaterasu: There we go!
Corvuscorva Nightfire: what our experience has been around it.
    Adelene Dawner snickers.
Eos Amaterasu: how about that" "I can't explain and I won't even try"!
    Adelene Dawner: (at Squee.)
    Adelene Dawner is laaaagy. :P
    Corvuscorva Nightfire laughs at Eos.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: and at Squee
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: and at Adelene
Corvuscorva Nightfire: and would laugh at Doug but he's being too quiet.
doug Sosa: quiet feels right now for me.
Eos Amaterasu: 'tis good, sometimes with flourishes
    --BELL--
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods
doug Sosa: the lack of 9 sec talk has been very much on my mind. Also the issue of real spontaneity emering from it. What do we really notice in the 9 sec?
Eos Amaterasu: (we're in the 90 sec)
Eos Amaterasu: So how was this 90 secs?
doug Sosa: I felt bad because i didn't notice it has started. i was doing my sentence (pun).
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: smiles.
Eos Amaterasu: How did you catch yourself, and what happened?
doug Sosa: I loked up at the local chat. I probably usually use the fountain turning to mist, but the pink drives me away from it.
    Eos Amaterasu: HI Paradise
Paradise Tennant: hi eos , doug, adelene, nightfire :))
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: Hi paradise.
    doug Sosa: (hi)
Corvuscorva Nightfire pokes Paradise..you can call me Corvi if it's easier.
    Paradise Tennant: lol
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: smiles.
Eos Amaterasu: My mind goes to sounds, flashes of screens, plants, to its own movements across, some kind of humor
    Paradise Tennant: :))
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: like poetry.
Eos Amaterasu: notice my intention, intentionality, a little bit of perching, expecting
doug Sosa: my 9 sec awareness is still dominated by the architecture and the people, not so explicitly, but as powerful presences that seem to call out for some kind of...??
Corvuscorva Nightfire: Doug is it like that in rl too?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: I mean that this architecture and these people are present?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: or the architecture and people who are there are present?
doug Sosa: no, rl has more distracting things going on, including the momentum of my own activity.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: Paradise..we're talkign about our experience of the 9 seconds.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods..thoughtfully to the momentum
doug Sosa: or in this case, the end of the 90 sec.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods.
Paradise Tennant: yes :) mine still usually goes to my breath . then senses .. the feeling of how I sitting standing .. the sensations
    Paradise Tennant: *am
doug Sosa: realy? before noticing the people?
    Paradise Tennant: yes
    Paradise Tennant: I slow down
    doug Sosa: wow.
Paradise Tennant: easier if you focus on your breath
doug Sosa: i can do that but not "first".
Corvuscorva Nightfire: I am seing the pink and the moving white and feeling my fingers type and my mind create ideas.
Paradise Tennant: occassionally I get a sense of how small my brain is .. almost a sense of its confinement :)) like there is something much bigger .. more open .
    Paradise Tennant: lol
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: neat!
Eos Amaterasu: corvi, you are being
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: aren't we all?
    Paradise Tennant: yes
doug Sosa: Corvu, for example, would you even be typing if you were not aware of the people to read?
    Paradise Tennant: very much so
Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods..to what doug is saying..yes...typing to audience.
doug Sosa: so the implication about awareness?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire thinks about this.
    Eos Amaterasu: being sings
Paradise Tennant: :) in the moment
    Paradise Tennant: :)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: smiles.
    Eos Amaterasu: being listens
    Eos Amaterasu: & reads
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: grins.
doug Sosa: I think we are exquisitely sensitive to the presence of others - but somehow it doesn't come up here much.
Eos Amaterasu: hmm, it varies, but I've felt much intimacy here
Eos Amaterasu: in a light hearted and also deep way
doug Sosa: Yes, felt, but not described.
    --BELL--
Corvuscorva Nightfire: I wonder if our conversations on love and compassion are in part attempts to describe our awareness of human presence?
    Eos Amaterasu: Outside.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: outside?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: oh
    Eos Amaterasu: (to Squee)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: grins, nods.
Adelene Dawner: ([19:30] Squee: If you could open a door to anywhere, where would you go?)
Eos Amaterasu: Ah, awareness of human presence
doug Sosa: where did that light come from?
    Eos Amaterasu: What is that?!?
doug Sosa: Storm is out there.
Eos Amaterasu notices the stones floating in the air (asteroid belt?)
    Paradise Tennant: :))
Corvuscorva Nightfire laughs at that idea and contemplates the presence of individuals in the context of being.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: contemplates "i" and "thou"
Corvuscorva Nightfire: in the context of being.
Eos Amaterasu: yes... awareness of humn presence, awareness of presence
Eos Amaterasu: you can walk into a forest clearing, and have an awareness of presence
doug Sosa: specific presences I think, not so general at least to start.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: a thou?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: or "thou" s
Paradise Tennant: sometimes awareness lends a special clarity to all types of manner . the mint tea I am drinking the warm glow of the lamp .. you perceive objects differently too
    Paradise Tennant: *matter
doug Sosa: each of you is a very specific thou, from apperance to speech (texting) very individual.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire thinks about this.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: and each pillow?
    Paradise Tennant: :)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: a specific thou?
    doug Sosa: not so much.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: laughs uproarously at this.
Eos Amaterasu: yes, there is a sense of a specific someone, and feeling toward/from/with
doug Sosa: but their pattern, like gears on a wheel, make me a bit nervous, like charpie chaplin in Modern Times getting caught in their progression.
Paradise Tennant: there is a sacredness to everything really ..that exists . simply because it does exist
Eos Amaterasu: their pattern, my pattern, yes, both
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: pattern
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods to pattern...
doug Sosa: I agree, but the question here might be, what happens in the 9 sec, or when thoughts "emerge"?
Eos Amaterasu: taste where they emerge from
doug Sosa: I think that when thoughts emerge we are careful which ones we pick to talk aboutpeace, compassion, sacredness.. but not the shape of Paradise's ears.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: laughs.
doug Sosa: or corvu's intense listening posture.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: blinks.
    Paradise Tennant: lol
Eos Amaterasu: in the 9 secs we tolerate ourselves and what happens
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: tolerate ourselves...nods....
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods.
doug Sosa: and then censor .
Corvuscorva Nightfire: woosh, ain't that the truth.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: both of those things..tolerate..then censor.
    Paradise Tennant: hmm not always
Eos Amaterasu: the 9 secs is a micro dance floor
Paradise Tennant: you can open up without judging ..
Eos Amaterasu: where things can dance around
Eos Amaterasu: including ourselves and our projections
Corvuscorva Nightfire: I don't think I CAN uncensor all the things that I tolerate on that dance floor...I mean..I don't think I can see them all at once and talk about them too.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods.
Eos Amaterasu: and the space of the dance floor itself
Corvuscorva Nightfire: one or the other, but not both...like a particle observed.
Paradise Tennant: lol too small !
Paradise Tennant: we are all working on a bigger dance floor
Paradise Tennant: feel that quite intensely sometimes that ..my brain is confined
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods.
Eos Amaterasu: being is a big blob of quantum uncertainty?
    Paradise Tennant: lol
Corvuscorva Nightfire: I am a blob of quantum uncertainty.
    Paradise Tennant: lol
doug Sosa: but isn't that the task here, to get rid our metal detectors, to let out what is real so we can have a chance of understanding and learning from it?
    Paradise Tennant: well said doug
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods.
    --BELL--
Eos Amaterasu: we are the dance floor
    Paradise Tennant: yes !
doug Sosa: I think that is right. we are the occasion for the exploration, and a very important thing is to explore the way that dance floor affects us.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: imagines herself the dance floor, ade the dance floor, Eos the dance floor, Paradise the dance floor, Dog
Corvuscorva Nightfire: Doug the dance floor.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: thinks about the dance floor and how it looks different to them each but it's the same floor.
doug Sosa: I like dog better, i may get scrathced behind the ears :)
Eos Amaterasu: for 9 secs, for 90 secs, for 9 months, 90 years, life drop of dance floor
    Corvuscorva Nightfire laughs.
    Paradise Tennant: lol
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: Hi, Pema
    Eos Amaterasu: scratch scratch!
    doug Sosa: (hi)
    Eos Amaterasu: HI Pema
    Pema Pera: hi everybody!
Paradise Tennant: hiya pema .. we are dance floors !
    Pema Pera: dance floors??
Corvuscorva Nightfire sends a log to Pema
doug Sosa: The occasion for each other's dance.
Paradise Tennant: just imed you the text .. eos has a lovely metaphor going
    Pema Pera: got it :-)
Pema Pera: stages for each other on which to dance
Paradise Tennant: stages for reality to dance
    Paradise Tennant: or totality
    Paradise Tennant: perhaps
Eos Amaterasu: & someone has decorated the stage here in pink :-)
doug Sosa: Which i think makes the point that our presence is the ocassion foreach to dance, to experience, to talk. Hence how we experience each other is the "ground of our xzawareness... but we rarely mention it, allowing for a kind of censorship.
    Paradise Tennant: :) yes
Eos Amaterasu: there's feat of sharing the sharp edges
    Eos Amaterasu: *fear
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: yes
doug Sosa: Which is, while not so counter to PAB, aa worthy point of exploration when it comes to mind.
Eos Amaterasu: (but in the 9 secs we learn to take it, re ourselves to start with?)
Corvuscorva Nightfire: the sharp edges, Eos?
    Eos Amaterasu: fear as expeience
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods.
doug Sosa: To me in the 9sec the people and architecture are still, though in cloudy form vitally present.
Eos Amaterasu: there is even embarrassement about sharing with ourselves
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: ook
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: yeah
    doug Sosa: yes. good.
Eos Amaterasu: but that's also a being vulnerable
doug Sosa: how do embarrassment and vulnerability play with each other?
Paradise Tennant: in a way absorbing what you already are .. we are a connected single thing really .. sharing is . just part of the process of coming to understand how huge the dance floor really is
Paradise Tennant: that we form part of
Eos Amaterasu: we are embarrassed by our miss-steps
doug Sosa: yet we so often say things likethat that are very abstract, and don't report on the experiences, the awrenessess, that preceed such thoughts.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods
Pema Pera: did you already talk about a concrete example of the dance floor?
Eos Amaterasu: there are six dancers here
Eos Amaterasu: they will be dancing in the next 90 secs period, even though they already are :-)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nods.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: making a pattern together inseperable from the floor itself.
Eos Amaterasu: 90 secs dance coming up
Pema Pera is holding his breath
    Paradise Tennant: ;)
    --BELL--
doug Sosa: But each person is very different and I think we notice that. Not only notice it, it is very important to us.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: without that appearance of difference there is no appearance of pattern?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: in the dance?
doug Sosa: I think if we look at our actual thoughts it gets clearer because not lost in the smog of thought.
Corvuscorva Nightfire sighs..I need to go. Night all.
    Pema Pera: Nite Corvi!
Corvuscorva Nightfire: thank you for this..my mind is much more quiet than when I came.
    Paradise Tennant: nite nite corvu
    doug Sosa: :)
    Eos Amaterasu: Ciao, corvi
    Paradise Tennant: :)
    Adelene Dawner: Sleep well, Corvi-Luv
Eos Amaterasu: there can be bit of panic when let go into the 9, 90 secs
Eos Amaterasu: or letting go whenever
Eos Amaterasu: desire for experiencing something
Paradise Tennant: hm depends what you are letting go .. I find the letting go of brain chatter .. fairly easy .. letting go of our ego or self ..so much harder
doug Sosa: I have usually felt that getting to see my brain chatter was a goal, not toget rid of it. The brain chatter, what is it - really? Interesting question. It is not abstract thinking except rarely.
Paradise Tennant: usually super repeatitive ..kind of boring really
Paradise Tennant: I mean we tend to think the same thoughts over and over again
doug Sosa: The brain chatter is like a field of wild flowers. conceptual thought is like the developers' bulldozer.
Pema Pera: but brain chatter can be like choppy waves on the ocean, preventing you to see deeper
    Paradise Tennant: :)
doug Sosa: if it isrepetitive, it has energy. better to find out what drives it.
Pema Pera: or to not try to find out anything, just to observe and let the waves subside
doug Sosa: i like that choppy waves image, i'll mull that one.
Pema Pera: fighting it is no good, feeding it is no good, but just watching is often the best, I have found
doug Sosa: To really know we would have to take af ew choppy waves and look closely.
    Paradise Tennant: yes
Eos Amaterasu: the energy is beyond choppy
    Pema Pera: :)
Pema Pera: more like a noisy chopper ?
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
Paradise Tennant: sometimes watching is good .. or holding onto one image .. or concept ..loving kindness say or even just something really pleasant ..like the idea of ice cream on a hot day ..
Paradise Tennant: makes .. for still water
Pema Pera sees images of melting ice cream. . . .
    Paradise Tennant: lol
Pema Pera: there is a big difference between watching thoughts as thoughts and watching thoughts as contents/meanings
    --BELL--
Pema Pera: in the latter case we are pulled along by the ads contained in the thoughts; in the first case we just watch the texture of the thoughts in a much more peaceful way.
doug Sosa: I think experience always preceeds thoughts.
Paradise Tennant: what if there really is not a subjective out there ..and everything is thought - ?
doug Sosa: The power to think never arises on its own; there is always a little expeience, in th gut, the ears, the skin - and then thought.
doug Sosa: i don't think experience lends itself to a subjective-objective split. all experience is prior to that division.[
doug Sosa: I am going to need to leave, as always we enter in the middle, leave in the middle.
Paradise Tennant: :) my thoughts are getting sleepy
    Paradise Tennant: :))
    doug Sosa: bye.
    Eos Amaterasu: Bye Doug
Paradise Tennant: thanks you everyone .. :))
Pema Pera: bye Paradise and Doug!
    Eos Amaterasu: 'night Paradise
Paradise Tennant: good nite eos pema . adelene :))
    Adelene Dawner is so laggy.
    Adelene Dawner: 'night :)
Eos Amaterasu: Think I also need to go...
Pema Pera: bye Eos and Adelene!
Eos Amaterasu: VEry interesting about the books, Pema
Pema Pera: I think I'll take off too
    Pema Pera: thanks, Eos!
Pema Pera: I hope you'll contribute too!
    Eos Amaterasu: Caio, more later!
    Adelene Dawner: 'night all
Pema Pera: in whatever way you like
    Pema Pera: bfn
