stevenaia Michinaga: feel free, there are SL bathing suits but most clothes are drip dry here

Paul Namiboo: Now my HUD is locked, whatever that means?

Paul Namiboo: I was given a gift of a feather yesterday and its on my wrist -- I'm clueless!

Paradise Tennant: detach the flight feather and see what happens

Paul Namiboo: How do I do that

stevenaia Michinaga: if you want to drop it, (a common thing to do there) you can type "worn" in your inventory search window and anything you are wearing will be listed, then you can select it and detach it

stevenaia Michinaga: hmmm, I have a complex negotiation tomorrow and somehow I may have added another angle to the discussion, these 90 seconds serve many purposes

Paul Namiboo: As I said yesterday, my best time for thinking/contemplating is when I'm swimming -- email has become a compulsion with me. I think we should start "emails anonymous"

Benedizione Vita: i already get too many anonymous e-mails trying to sell me pharmaceuticals haha ;)

Paradise Tennant: swimming puts you in touch with your breath :)

Benedizione Vita: but seriously, maybe an e-mail fast would be interesting for you paul?

Benedizione Vita: you can put some rules on when you check it and follow through

Benedizione Vita: builds discipline and removes the mind from the ether a little bit

Paul Namiboo: At least you guys aren't urging me to DO things

Paul Namiboo: Well, at least here if my gut gets tight it just means I'm hungry

Paradise Tennant: blinks .. mostly .. being in the moment .. is easy .. because it is the easiest place to be

Paul Namiboo: How many emails, roughly, do you each get a day?

stevenaia Michinaga: maybe 5 relevant once

Paradise Tennant: you are not worry about abstract problems that may or did once exist .. you are just dealing with what is at hand and usually that is pretty much ok .. most of the awful stuff in our lives are mind generated

Paul Namiboo: I agree with that, and many of them have to do with relationships

stevenaia Michinaga: people or thing relationships, Paul?

Paul Namiboo: people relationships -- I think in the world today friends are the most important things

stevenaia Michinaga: aww, or women;s best friend relationships

Paul Namiboo: and when they have problems, they become yours

stevenaia Michinaga: I agree Paul, especially ones that last a very long time

Paul Namiboo: So many people I know are now in financial trouble, including ones with young kids...

stevenaia Michinaga: I have a few friends, bit they have been friends for decades even though I see them rarely

Paradise Tennant: ties into patience .. generosity .. tolerance .. understanding .. connectedness ..karma .. totality .. covers the gamut

Paradise Tennant: yes .. once you have profound connection it is just there

Paradise Tennant: can pick up like it is a row of knitting even after years

stevenaia Michinaga: but that does not matter, it is the lack of expectations that keep them friend I think

stevenaia Michinaga: my 30th wedding is coming up, it lasted certainly with both articulated and un articulated expectations

stevenaia Michinaga: to celebrate and test my commitment she broke her ankle a month ago, I;ll let you know if I passed the expectation test in a month

stevenaia Michinaga: strangle enough I can easily have the kind of separate space needed sometimes w/o a problem at home

Paradise Tennant: :)) I share my home with friends :)) so am seldom home alone . for alone time .. I walk the dog .. long long walks :))

stevenaia Michinaga: we have a pack of dog walkers in our neighborhood

Paradise Tennant: living with others well always take a bit of effort .. discipline some times and is always easier if you get enough sleep

Paradise Tennant: yes amazing how connected the doggie community is

Paradise Tennant: went to a funeral for a dog in the spring .. they had a video montage of his life set to music .. everyone cried

Paradise Tennant: kleenex bosses abounded

Paradise Tennant: it had some funny bits .. surf's up california dreaming .. set to puppyish gamboling in the waves...:))

stevenaia Michinaga: I am a cat person, my parents had a dog

Paradise Tennant: cats are good ..

stevenaia Michinaga: but cats are very difficult to walk

Paradise Tennant: well they make little harnesses ..you can get a really long leash and sit on a bench and let them frolic for a bit .. see that a fair bit

stevenaia Michinaga: we once took our cat , who was outside, for a walk, actually we took a walk and the cat followed us.. by always being ahead of us

stevenaia Michinaga: so the cat led us, very bizarre

Paradise Tennant: animals are very smart ..but smarter than we understand

stevenaia Michinaga: we were talking about that a bit one night, how we think we are smarter, yes we cannot really communicated with them directly

Paradise Tennant: yes

Paradise Tennant: you linked up some great stories on dolphins

stevenaia Michinaga: be it dogs and cats or whales and dolphins

stevenaia Michinaga: yes

Paradise Tennant: read them .. really neat .. how they scout out .. a new obstacle .. check it out go back and report it to the group and then discuss

stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps we should have a retreat with the critters
