    Mickorod Renard: great
Maisie Fonda: How are you, Wol?
Wol Euler: but little kids are full of germs!
Wol Euler is also full of germs. alas.
    Mickorod Renard: yes
Mickorod Renard: I work in a school, so I am exposed to them all the time
Maisie Fonda: Hopefully we are safe from these things in virtual reality!
Wol Euler: right, so you are pretty well immune, I would think.
Maisie Fonda: What ages do you work with Mickorod?
    Mickorod Renard: I hope so
    Mickorod Renard: 11/12 to 18
    Maisie Fonda: Do you teach?
    Wol Euler: brb
Mickorod Renard: yes, design and technology
Mickorod Renard: I am on the technology side though
Maisie Fonda: Do you ever talk toyour students about SL?
    Mickorod Renard: no
    Mickorod Renard: grin
Mickorod Renard: although I am sre the design tools here for builing stuff would be excelent
Mickorod Renard: excuse my missing letters,,my keyboard is nackered
Maisie Fonda: Yeah, nice to have a place of escape though!
Mickorod Renard: yes,,more of an escape from family though
    Mickorod Renard: he he he
    Maisie Fonda: Ah!
Mickorod Renard: work is also an escape for me,,I really enjoy it
Maisie Fonda: That's great, so few people love what they do.
    Wol Euler: back
    Maisie Fonda: Hi again Wol
    Wol Euler: ty
Mickorod Renard: well I have all the big boy tools and equipment a man could wish for
Mickorod Renard: so work is like play
Maisie Fonda: I work in theatre so work is also like play for me.
    Wol Euler: nice
Mickorod Renard: wow,,fantastic..I dont live far from Stratford of course
Maisie Fonda: Indeed - have you seen anything good there of late?
Mickorod Renard: no not recently..but will soon, I hope
Mickorod Renard: last I saw was lord of the rings (theatre) in London
Maisie Fonda: Ooh, how was it?
    Mickorod Renard: it was excelent
Mickorod Renard: actually last I saw was an outdoor shakespear
    Maisie Fonda: Yeah?
    Mickorod Renard: The Tempest
    Maisie Fonda: Good?
Mickorod Renard: I have to familiarise myself first, with the plot, because my hearing isnt up to it
Mickorod Renard: yes, it was ok,,the ambiance was best though
Maisie Fonda: Always a challenge with Shakespeare!
    Mickorod Renard: yes,
Mickorod Renard: Do you get many plays and theatre in Germany?
Wol Euler: yes, there's quite a bit of culture in Stuttgart and most other large cities
Wol Euler: but to be honest I seldom go, less often than when I lived in London
Mickorod Renard: I think its a good way to learn about life,,,many taboo's are covered in plays
Mickorod Renard: what many people wouldnt like to ask about in RL
    Maisie Fonda: Agreed.
Maisie Fonda: How long were you in London, Wol?
Mickorod Renard: Rape, Murder, incest..plotting etc
    Wol Euler: 17 years :)
Maisie Fonda: Wow. How did you find it?
    Wol Euler: hard to explain.
Wol Euler: I love it, and am always glad to go
Wol Euler: but I am even more glad each time to leave.
    Mickorod Renard: he he he
Wol Euler: it's just too big, too dirty, too crowded...
Wol Euler: as a tourist? unbeatable. But it's not a place to live.
Maisie Fonda: Yes, exactly, I love visiting London but am not sure I could live there...
    Wol Euler nods
Wol Euler: same as Manhattan, for me. Wonderful but please let me back out!
    Mickorod Renard: grin
Maisie Fonda: Must disagree there, I would really love to live in New York!
    Wol Euler: well :)
Mickorod Renard: I have never been there
Maisie Fonda: It's a really exciting place and has such a nice feel about it.
Maisie Fonda: My partner has just applied for a job there, kind of blue sky thinking but you never know!
Mickorod Renard: I hope it all works out for you both
Wol Euler: wow, well good luck.
    Maisie Fonda: Thanks!
Wol Euler: I agree, it's a marvellously exciting city. You should see it, Mick. take a standby flight and a change of underwear
Mickorod Renard: I lived away for eight years,,but the pull back home was too much for me to resist
    Maisie Fonda: Whereabouts were you?
Mickorod Renard: I will go commando,,its even lighter
    Wol Euler: :)
    Mickorod Renard: France
    Maisie Fonda: Lovely.
    Mickorod Renard: maybe
    Wol Euler: maybe france?
    Mickorod Renard: maybe nice
    Mickorod Renard: but not home
    Wol Euler: ah :)
Maisie Fonda: Are you back home now Wol?
Wol Euler: depends what you mean by "home" :)
Wol Euler: I am in the city where I've lived for 15 years.
Mickorod Renard: some brits go to newyork to do shopping,,cos it was cheap for clothes
Wol Euler: and no longer at work :)
    Mickorod Renard: no?
Mickorod Renard: surely not retired Wol?
Wol Euler: ah, no, finished for today I mean.
    Mickorod Renard: ahhhh..the convent
    Mickorod Renard: ohh..I see
Wol Euler: I thought 10.5 hours was enough for one day.
    Maisie Fonda: More than enough!
Maisie Fonda: What work do you do?
Wol Euler: I'm an architect, working on a sport complex ATM
    Maisie Fonda: Sounds great
Wol Euler: strenuous ATM though, much pressure to get teh tender documents published next month
Mickorod Renard: Wol, do you find what we do here influences your designs?
Wol Euler: not so far, no :)
Mickorod Renard: like transfers into wanting to make a more pleasant environment?
Wol Euler: it certainly influences the *way* I work, but not what comes out.
    Mickorod Renard: ok
Wol Euler: no, I always wanted that :)
    Mickorod Renard: maybe one day
Wol Euler: I was never interested in following styles.
Mickorod Renard: I would like to build my next home..maybe around an atrium
Mickorod Renard: like glas house area
    Wol Euler nods
    Mickorod Renard: for indoor garden
    Wol Euler: very practical
Mickorod Renard: uk weather can be very limiting
Mickorod Renard: and I risk becoming starved of sun light
    Wol Euler: heh
Mickorod Renard: fortunately at work I have lots of windows looking out over countryside
Mickorod Renard: and I dont have to pay the heating bill
    Wol Euler: :)
    Wol Euler: "triple glazing"
    Wol Euler: "insulation"
    Wol Euler: note those words.
    Mickorod Renard: ok
    Mickorod Renard: ty
    Wol Euler: yw :)
    Mickorod Renard: ;)
Wol Euler: there are architects who specialize in thermally-efficient building, you should look around and talk to a few
Mickorod Renard: Masie..do you get really involved in characters you play?
Mickorod Renard: Yes I must Wol,,because the chance to build may be on me soon
    Wol Euler: ah!
Mickorod Renard: and it takes time
    Wol Euler: indeed.
Mickorod Renard: although land is hard to find here
Wol Euler: if I may offer a piece of meta-advice:
    Mickorod Renard: please
Wol Euler: don't be in a hurry. Give yourself plenty of time *before* the process starts, to look into what you really want to get out of it.
Mickorod Renard: yes,,good point,,I am one for becoming disenchanted with my dreams
Mickorod Renard: practical and good looking is what I need
Wol Euler: "stop, drop, look" applies to thinking about what you want to build too :)
    Mickorod Renard: ;)
Mickorod Renard: is Maxine on tnite?
    Mickorod Renard: tonite?
Wol Euler: yes, tuesdays. I think.
    Mickorod Renard: ty
Wol Euler: the weeks go by so quickly...
    Mickorod Renard: scary isnt it
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: here it is almost october already :-/
    Mickorod Renard: he he
Mickorod Renard: it is here too
    Wol Euler snorts
Wol Euler: I wanted to take a holiday in october, after this rush at work, but I
Wol Euler: haven't left enough time to organize anything.
Mickorod Renard: Wol, I recon you picked up a Brit sense of humour when u lived in London
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: oh, I always had that. M. Python, the Goon Show ...
    Mickorod Renard: yeaaa
Wol Euler: CBC broadcast Goon Show episodes in the middle 70s, saturday mornings.
Wol Euler: I used to lie in bed crying with laughter
Mickorod Renard: where did you fancy a holiday?
    Wol Euler: wb maisie
Wol Euler: Israel, I had thought ...
    Mickorod Renard: I love Israel
Wol Euler: but I've left that too late to get a visa now.
    Mickorod Renard: owwww
Wol Euler: I've never been (yet)
Mickorod Renard: I did several days AT THE RED SEA..ELAT..and then several doing the holy land
Mickorod Renard: its well worth it,,and I want to go back too
Mickorod Renard: thats got to be a recomendation
    Wol Euler grins
Wol Euler: I had thought about a week in Tel Aviv, I have a lot of internet friends there.
    Mickorod Renard: nice
Wol Euler: oh, time for Maxine!
    Mickorod Renard: gues so
