Mary Korpov: What do guardians guard?

Bolonath Crystal: i am not here as a guardian actually, only for a short visit. i have to leave in about 15 minutes

Mary Korpov: I see. They aren't that attractive, so I don't think you have to worry

genesis Zhangsun: So how are you finding the 9 second exloration Bolonath?

Bolonath Crystal: somewhat irritating. i am used to longer meditation sessions

Mary Korpov: Just read that Obama won the Nobel PEace Prize

Bolonath Crystal: during a long meditation session the mind is able to reach a different state of awareness. during 90 sec the experience doesn't go as deep

Mary Korpov: I'm not yet convinced that the 90 second approach works very well

genesis Zhangsun: yes I suppose there are differences based on the amount of time given for practice

Mary Korpov: I agree with Bolonath

genesis Zhangsun: however what I find 9 seconds or 90 seconds useful for is the integration part

Mary Korpov: I don't really meditate, but see this as an ongoing state of mind

genesis Zhangsun: how I take a longer practice into my daily life

genesis Zhangsun: yes exactly Mary

genesis Zhangsun: It seems important not only to go deeper but also to find a way for your "normal" everyday life to benefit from the depth

Bolonath Crystal: that's true. the insights from meditation must become parts of everyday life

Bolonath Crystal: otherwise they won't be very useful at all

Mary Korpov: I don't gain insights when I meditate, so I don't do it often. For me, insights come from everyday life

genesis Zhangsun: I agree Mary

genesis Zhangsun: and for some the 9 seconds is good reminder to see more into everyday life

Mary Korpov: stop and smell the roses?

genesis Zhangsun: we can get so caught up in our conditioned patterned ways of thinking that we forget

Mary Korpov: Something of a cliche, actually

genesis Zhangsun: sometimes I feel like if we just take one simple, even very cliche thing to heart it could change alot in our lives

Mary Korpov: Or turn us into large, walking cliches

Mary Korpov: Nothing, so far. I think he won it on the grounds that he is not Bush.

Yakuzza Lethecus: so it's more a task then a price i guess

Mary Korpov: Europeans seem to be very enamored of Obama (I like him, too) and rather simplistically wowed by his oratory power

Yakuzza Lethecus: even yesterday i read that the usa are threatening the iran again with a bunkerbreaker bomb

Yakuzza Lethecus: and obama gets the nobel price today

Mary Korpov: Well, doing something about Iran is certainly needed.

Yakuzza Lethecus: ok, no rocket defence against iranian icbm's

Yakuzza Lethecus: which they only propably have :)

Mary Korpov: They just tested them, didn't they?

Mary Korpov: Well, last time I looked, I think we had a mutual defense agreement with most of Europe. I think they call it NATO

Mary Korpov: Maybe politics is not a good topic. Only met Genesis once, but she doesn't seem like the sort that is interested in political discussions

Yakuzza Lethecus: oh, politics is fine around here

Yakuzza Lethecus: i don't have a specific opinion and try to get updates on what i have in mind

Mary Korpov: And I suspect if they can, they will attack the US. The Iranian gov doesn't seem to exactly be the best friend of the USA

Mary Korpov: But if an effort isn't made, then we will all suffer until we get off of the oil addiction

Yakuzza Lethecus: And there is another country which ,,had bio weapons" and it turned out that it was no threat at all
