The Guardian for this meeting was Riddle Sideways. The comments are by Riddle Sideways.  And Riddle will at least post this log before spacing it out too far.

Riddle Sideways: Good Morning, Listener Master
    Widget Whiteberry: good morning
    Riddle Sideways: good morning widget
Riddle Sideways: how are you today
Riddle Sideways: am not sure if we have met before
Riddle Sideways: have you been to this group before?
    Widget Whiteberry: several times
Widget Whiteberry: but I'm very much a beginner
Riddle Sideways: ha, so are we all
    Widget Whiteberry: hmm,
Widget Whiteberry: some seem to have a long history of contemplative practice
Widget Whiteberry: I attended my first guardian meeting this week
Widget Whiteberry: so I gather the group is in transition
Riddle Sideways: good for you, I was unable to make it (again)
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: was just reading that session

Widget Whiteberry: there is a storm here and my internet connection may be unstable
Riddle Sideways: it is storming here in california too today
Riddle Sideways: is calm right now tho
Widget Whiteberry: ah, we are both in California

Widget Whiteberry: what impressions do you take from reading the Guardian notes?
Riddle Sideways: have not read far enough in to get any
    Widget Whiteberry: smiles
Riddle Sideways: at first I jumped to the middle, but had to back up
Widget Whiteberry: I can sit quietly and let you read
Riddle Sideways: no, would rather hear your opinions
Widget Whiteberry: about that meeting or PaB or something else?
    Riddle Sideways: yes :)
    Widget Whiteberry laughs
Riddle Sideways: sorry, could not help it
Widget Whiteberry: too good an opening?

Widget Whiteberry: I think I expected these sessions to be meditative
Widget Whiteberry: there is a 7am meditation session at Commonwealth and I've sometimes participated
Widget Whiteberry: and I like the idea of quieting my mind before diving into the day
Widget Whiteberry: I saw your typing animation, but no message
Riddle Sideways: many times these sessions are Q&A / sharing about our other practices/exercises
Widget Whiteberry: have you been part of PaB for very long?
Riddle Sideways: well... since the beginning
    Widget Whiteberry: smiles
Riddle Sideways: but not very active
Widget Whiteberry: what drew you to it?
Widget Whiteberry: draws* you to it?
Riddle Sideways: I read some of Pema's visits to another Virtual world
Riddle Sideways: I stay because IT draws us
Riddle Sideways: a group of like minds and/or willing to chat about it
Riddle Sideways: and you? what drew/draws you
Widget Whiteberry: I found it in April when I invited MICA to be part of a display on earth sciences for earth week exhibit on commonwealth
Widget Whiteberry: then I showed it to Eos, who brought Alia into SL
Widget Whiteberry: so I came once or twice after speaking with Storm
Widget Whiteberry: I didn't get much of a sense of it
Widget Whiteberry: then something happened this past month
Widget Whiteberry: a conversaton with Pema drew me back

Widget Whiteberry: and 2 times here when the conversation became thoughtful

    --BELL--
Widget Whiteberry bows to indicate a stopping point
Riddle Sideways: 90 seconds is a long time
Widget Whiteberry: I've come to welcome those 90 sec breaks
Riddle Sideways: my guardian seesions tend to be a lot less thoughtful :)
    Riddle Sideways: less deep
Riddle Sideways: but I like to read between the lines we are saying
    Widget Whiteberry: smiles
Widget Whiteberry: what do you read in?
Riddle Sideways: part funny, part deep, part playful.
Riddle Sideways: I play some music and it is the silences that are often as important
Riddle Sideways: the typos that some ppl do are ...
    Widget Whiteberry: are?
Riddle Sideways needs a better "fill in the blank" marker
    Riddle Sideways: ah "___"
    Widget Whiteberry nods
Riddle Sideways: there are the words and langauge a person here will use
Riddle Sideways: then there is what they were trying to say
    Widget Whiteberry: yes
    Widget Whiteberry: hmm
Riddle Sideways: then there is what the group or each of us gets from it
Riddle Sideways: then there is what is left out
Riddle Sideways: and sometimes a typo
Widget Whiteberry: are you noticing that happening this morning in conversation with me?
Actually Widget, I do not really understand "hmm" and get lost in thought on what you could mean.
Riddle Sideways: not really, you are not typos as much
Riddle Sideways: we are exchanging dialogs
Riddle Sideways: many times there is a group and jumping around subjects
Widget Whiteberry: yes, I've noticed that too
Riddle Sideways: we seem to be finishing thoughts

Widget Whiteberry: what is the best part of PaB for you, Riddle?
    Widget Whiteberry: Hello Yak, welcome
    Riddle Sideways: good morning, Yaku
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
Riddle Sideways: the best part of PaB (for me) is the Play,   no the Being,    no the "as'
Riddle Sideways seems to appriciate many of them
Widget Whiteberry takes another look at Riddle's chosen name
Riddle Sideways: :) Yaks is interesting too
    Widget Whiteberry nods
Riddle Sideways: and, I use to write software widgets
Widget Whiteberry: is that related to riddles?
Riddle Sideways: what we chose as names is sometimes telling
    Widget Whiteberry: I think so
Widget Whiteberry: widget was my father's pet name for me
Widget Whiteberry: he died before I came to SL and this name is a way of remembering him
    --BELL--
Yakuzza Lethecus: i´ve just seen too many bad movies and use this nick for nearly a decade
Riddle Sideways: we all carry the memories of departed with us in different ways
    Riddle Sideways: and means
    Widget Whiteberry nods
Riddle Sideways: there is a portion of the grieving process that we find a way to work a memory trick into our daily life
Riddle Sideways: when I put on grey socks, I remember
Widget Whiteberry: I'm beyond grieving now and just holding memory
Riddle Sideways: yes, thats where I was going...
    Widget Whiteberry: smiles
Riddle Sideways: we get past the imediate grieving
Riddle Sideways: but work it into daily life and a new tradition
Widget Whiteberry: it' easier when the death is timely
    Riddle Sideways: maybe
Widget Whiteberry: for me, that's been the case
Widget Whiteberry: the untimely deaths are harder to bear
Riddle Sideways: yes usually. I was just thinking of some that were not
    Widget Whiteberry nods
Riddle Sideways: as I hear often, "May the thoughts and memories of all those that came before us bring comfort to you"
    Widget Whiteberry: hmmm, yes

Riddle Sideways: yet... I was getting into Alan Watts lately
    Widget Whiteberry: yes?
Riddle Sideways: and we are dying all the time
Riddle Sideways: and we are being born all the time
Riddle Sideways: and we are not apart from all other

Widget Whiteberry: I was listening to Lynn Margulis, the evolutionary biologist
    Widget Whiteberry: she describes how
Widget Whiteberry: we are -each of us -
Widget Whiteberry: symbiotic communities of organisms
Widget Whiteberry: fits nicely with watts
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Widget Whiteberry: there is a podcast, if you're interested, I'll post the link
    Riddle Sideways: please
    --BELL--
    Widget Whiteberry: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/virtual...-Lynn-Margulis

    Riddle Sideways: TY
Widget Whiteberry: it's a wonderful interview
Widget Whiteberry: I need to go dress a set for Virtually Speaking
Widget Whiteberry: perhaps we'll chat again
    Riddle Sideways: yes, please
Riddle Sideways: I also need to go be RL
Riddle Sideways: sorry to abandon you, Yakuzza

    Yakuzza Lethecus: so bye
