The Guardian for this meeting was Eliza Madrigal. The comments are by Eliza Madrigal, who was joined first by Crusty, then sophia, and Eden. There were some distractions for me today, which may have hindered the 'flow' a bit. Still, we touched on a few very interesting themes!

I bantered a little with Crusty...

    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Crusty
    sophia Placebo: hello
    Crusty Goldshark: ni guys
Eliza Madrigal: Have you been to PlayasBeing before, Crusty?
    Crusty Goldshark: hi
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Eden :)
    Crusty Goldshark: yes
    Eden Haiku: HI Eliza!
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, so you know that we record chats here?
Eliza Madrigal: (I have to make sure you know) :)
Crusty Goldshark: Was here for the Crismas Turkey last year
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sophia :) Like your tag!

    sophia's tag read "Curious"

Eliza Madrigal: Oooh, well that explains it Crusty. I've only been in SL since January of this year :)
sophia Placebo: lol me too , i guess i'll keep that group for a while
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
    Eden Haiku: Hello Sophia, Crusty
Eliza Madrigal: I thought I was the only one who kept groups just for the tags...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    sophia Placebo: hi Eden
    --BELL--
sophia Placebo: noo , many just do that specially if you have free space
Crusty Goldshark: I came for a fix
    Eliza Madrigal: A fix?
    Crusty Goldshark: . . . of spirituality . . .
Eliza Madrigal: Ah :) Well what's your pleasure (she offers, as a bar tender would) ....
    Crusty Goldshark: Wii yoga
Eliza Madrigal: hah. Hm... difficult to pull of here just now..
Crusty Goldshark: We work our whether we are the sadow of the real world perhaps?
Eden Haiku: What is that white fluffy cloak you are kind of hiding under Sophia, if I may ask?
Eliza Madrigal: What about appreciating of appearances... or dropping what you have to see what you are...
Crusty Goldshark: Sorry I have a special rubber fetish keyboard
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
sophia Placebo: it is a white fur coat eden
Eliza Madrigal: It is lovely sophia... I had searched for your face before...
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to see you now :)
    sophia Placebo: lol

This would have been fun to talk about...

Crusty Goldshark: OK but is the outer the expression of the inward or is it void - as the bishop said to the actress
Eden Haiku: Oh, I see you now! Looks warm and I love the hood!
Eliza Madrigal grins to Crusty... you want 'answers' here?
Eliza Madrigal: We try to get comfortable not answering... to some extent...
Crusty Goldshark: no answers - just maybe a better class of question . . .
    sophia Placebo: ty
    Eden Haiku: Good answer Eliza!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hm, better than?
    Eliza Madrigal is inquisitive today
Crusty Goldshark: better than yesterday and not as good as tomorrow
    Crusty Goldshark: :)
Eliza Madrigal: then maybe what you want is to step out of that framework altogether...?
    Crusty Goldshark: OK

I bantered too roughly, I am sure...

Eden Haiku: NIce quote about framework I just read. Looking for it...
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal: Maybe I was too playful for Crusty today
    sophia Placebo: he crashed maybe
    Eliza Madrigal listens, Eden :)
Eden Haiku: Pema Pera: that's exactly it, we tend to iron out all that we experience so that it fits into our preconceived framework
Eliza Madrigal: Ooh yes I read that yesterday too!
Eden Haiku: That is Zeroth time erd session
sophia Placebo: i wanted to ask him about the outer the expression of the inward
Eliza Madrigal: Those are wonderful sessions
sophia Placebo: oops sorry , im slow typer
Eden Haiku: Yes, they are wonderful.

We touch writing and time ...

Eliza Madrigal: yes me too... sophia... was hoping we'd get there in a way... outward/inward... out of the past, persent, future framework...
Eliza Madrigal: Maybe due to reading those time sessions also :)
Eden Haiku: You were asking me the other day Eliza about visions and writing.
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Eden Haiku: Well, I think an experience of Zeroth time might be the source of all my writing.
    Eliza Madrigal: MMM, how so?
Eden Haiku: Wasn't a vision really, I do not have the word for it.
    Eliza Madrigal is intrigued
Eden Haiku: I want to write the whole expreince down (I have been writing about it for years, in French, in different contexts.)
Eden Haiku: But with the framewrork of zeroth time, from what I read, I could capture it more closely I think.
Eliza Madrigal: Something Lia wrote about experiencing 'no time' promted me to email her privately... I wonder about these glimpses we are given and whether they 'shake our worlds' in ways we can't process for years sometimes
    Eliza Madrigal: *prompted
Eliza Madrigal: Is that like your experience Eden?
Eden Haiku: So it is very exciting for me to stumble upon a group of people who are looking at these Zeroth time pebbles. This is the core of my work right now.
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: (btw sophia, just in case I have to go early, I wanted to thank you for writing about Hajj... am looking forward to reading that later today)
Eliza Madrigal: Eden, it seems synchronistic then :) Your haikus on the guardian page read to me like skipping stones....
Eliza Madrigal: bits of time perhaps

This morning sophia sent a piece on the Hajj, through email...

Also, we keep touching on time...

Eden Haiku: Oh, yes Sophia. I saw that you sent an email about the Hajj, haven't read it yet...Looking forward to it.
    Eliza Madrigal: jumping along
sophia Placebo: yw , i should write 2 more i guess , i hope i can reduce it to 1 more
Eden Haiku: Yes, but my work in RL is a novel I'm writing.
Eliza Madrigal: I wonder if you might add a page or two to wiki, too, Sophia?
Eden Haiku: That would be wonderful Sophia. Easier to read on the Wiki than on email.
    sophia Placebo: maybe .....
Eliza Madrigal: And on wiki it is always there to refer to...
Eliza Madrigal: I still have the email you sent about prayers :)
    sophia Placebo: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, nice Eden... you feel 'no time' is a help? In 'no time' everything is complete... so I imagine it takes pressure off a writer who may get anxiously wrapped/hindered by goals :)
sophia Placebo is reading zeroth time session chat log
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: When JK Rowling got the idea for Harry Potter, she said it was all 7 books at once :)
Eden Haiku: Wonderful thing is have no deadline this time. My publisher sold to some other pyblishing house and I'm on a literary grant. I have a report to write in a year or so but I'm deliciously free.
Eliza Madrigal: Deliciously Free! Love that!
Eliza Madrigal: Do you think you might say more about experiencing 'no time' Eden?
Eden Haiku: Yeah, it feels delicious. I'm an experienced novelist but this new book is something else. It is always different from one novel to the other. But this novel is about time. I have been wanting to write it for years.
Eliza Madrigal: And things are coming together for that to happen, how exciting :)
Eden Haiku: Well, there is a specific experience that I would like to realte in minute details. So maybe not here and now. You know are minute details are so very important Eliza in these matters.
Eliza Madrigal would like to read one of your books :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes true they can be. :) I won't pry :)
Eden Haiku: The day might come when I will uncloak, but not yet ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eden Haiku: Some are translated in English but not all of them ;-)
Eliza Madrigal wonders if she could tap into timelessness long enough to emerge knowing french....
    Eliza Madrigal giggles

    Sacred Art Museum

Eden Haiku: ;-) Sophia, did you visit the Sacred Arts Museum?
Eden Haiku: There is this wonderful picture of the Kabba with hundreds and hundreds of people.
Eliza Madrigal: I haven't been through the entire museum yet.. am looking forward to it
Eliza Madrigal: Sophia must be caught up in 0th time :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Reading
Eden Haiku: I have so much problem driving my avatar, I lost myself in the museum!
Eliza Madrigal: hah... what did you try to do?
    --BELL--
Eden Haiku: Orientation skills are not my thing. I was trying to locate the buddhist section and kept finding myself in the schritianity section. Wonder why.. ;-)
sophia Placebo: eden not yet , i visited it when it was still undercinstruction
    Eden Haiku: *christianity
    sophia Placebo: construction*
Eliza Madrigal: :) easy to get turned around.. especially when so much to read and process
Eden Haiku: There was a nice opening the other day and it seems it will continue for a few days: with champagne and fireworks.
Eliza Madrigal: Adams sent a note that this weekend there will be another gathering/opening...
    Eliza Madrigal: yes :)
sophia Placebo: oh i,ve seen many eden but the most beautiful one was the live one , breath taking
Eden Haiku: Widget was saying the other day that she was teaching how to drive avatars, I might ask her for lessons!

Difficult to step out early ...

Eliza Madrigal: I have to go unfortunately.. rare for me to leave early and it feels so strange ... I've got the log. Nice to see you both :)
    Eden Haiku: Take care Eliza!
Eliza Madrigal: Enjoy the rest of the session! Hugs!
    sophia Placebo: bye eliza !
    Eden Haiku: Hugs!
    sophia Placebo: drive avatar?

Eden and sophia continue a nice conversation...

Eden Haiku: Your white fur cap is a reminder of the Hajj isn'it it?
sophia Placebo: ahh nop :) it is a reminder of winter since we feel non
Eden Haiku: Drive avatar: I think Wideget meant to walk , to move forward, to turn and so on...
    sophia Placebo: ah ok
    Eden Haiku: Ah!
Eden Haiku: I'm rather new to SL, still learning basic things like that.
Eden Haiku: It seems I can never walk in a straight line, so I fly!
sophia Placebo: the white hajj cloths are very far from lixury
sophia Placebo: lol , flying is faster
Eden Haiku: They have to be plain pieces of clothes right, with no bindings?
    sophia Placebo: hi bene
Eden Haiku: Not sewn I meant.
sophia Placebo: yep , 2 parts only
sophia Placebo: for men that is
Eden Haiku: Is there a symbolic meaning to only 2 pieces?
    Eden Haiku: And for women?
sophia Placebo: any cloth would work , but we usually wear long white shirt , white pants , white head scarf and white cloak
sophia Placebo: hmm symbolism for numbers is very un common in islamic though
sophia Placebo: but 2 pieces cuz that all you need to cover your body , the minimum
Eden Haiku: Oh I see, thanks.
Eden Haiku: How did you readjust to normal life after the Hajj?
sophia Placebo: :) you have to fix your life befor hajj
    --BELL--
Eden Haiku: I will have to go. It was nice talking to you Sophia.
Eden Haiku: Looking forward to read you email.
    Eden Haiku: Bye for now!
sophia Placebo: bye eden , like wise !
