Liza Deischer: we had a discussion about that a few days ago
Yakuzza Lethecus: because a few friends of mine played that online
Mickorod Renard: cant remeber which one that was yaku
    Mickorod Renard: maybe global storm?
Yakuzza Lethecus: oh what were the common thoughts, idea´s on that ?
Liza Deischer: I ned to think for a while
Liza Deischer: so many things has been said about it
Liza Deischer: but in general: we think it does have some impact
Liza Deischer: thought the games change us

    Yakuzza Lethecus: spam :)
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: most important is that everything whats said around here will be logged, posted and send to the cia for further investigation and interrogation in a non western country :)

Mickorod Renard: are you still enjoying Pab liza?
    Liza Deischer: yes I do
    Mickorod Renard: great
Liza Deischer: so I have been talking to Pema about it
Mickorod Renard: I guess its been a bit fragmented during the break
Yakuzza Lethecus: otherwise it´s about mindfullness which i am most likily not right now :)
Liza Deischer: what do you mean?
    Mickorod Renard: me?
    Liza Deischer: yes
Mickorod Renard: I was thinking that the topics often get a bit lost during breaks,,like hols n stuff
Liza Deischer: well sl has his good things and his limits
    Liza Deischer: somebody types something
Liza Deischer: three people start typing at the same time
Mickorod Renard: please excuse me a few mins please,,dinner is served

Eos Amaterasu: Hi Liza, Mick, Yak
Mickorod Renard: yeaaa,,happy new year Eos
    Eos Amaterasu: /*|*\
    Eos Amaterasu: HNY!
Mickorod Renard: I am a slow eater compared to many
    Liza Deischer: oh
Mickorod Renard: I like to think over every mouth full
    Liza Deischer: hmmmm
Liza Deischer: yes eating it consciously
Mickorod Renard: Hi Zon,,happy new year
Liza Deischer: hi Zon, Best Wishes
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Zon
Mickorod Renard: its nice if we could take the time to think over our actions or experiences as well
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey zon
Eos Amaterasu: grok what's happening right now in fullness
    Mickorod Renard: grok?
    arabella Ella: Hiya!
Liza Deischer: hi Ara, Best Wishes
Yakuzza Lethecus: happy new year ara :)
arabella Ella: Happy New Year to everyone!!!!!!
Mickorod Renard: Hiya ara,,happy new year
Eos Amaterasu: A term introduced by SciFi writer Rorber Heinlein.... appreciate fully, get it all the way
Eos Amaterasu: Happy New Year, ARa!
Eos Amaterasu: (seems there's a Malta contingent here)
Mickorod Renard: nice,,I am fond of getting it all the way
    arabella Ella: :)
arabella Ella: and Malta brings sunshine to you all :)
Liza Deischer: you mean on your side of the circle Eos :-)
    Eos Amaterasu: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grok
Mickorod Renard: had sunshine here,,but still only 0 degree's
arabella Ella: around 30 celsius here today in the sun
Yakuzza Lethecus: i love -10 and sunshine, no water in the air and it feels warm
    Yakuzza Lethecus: celsious
    Yakuzza Lethecus: wow
Mickorod Renard: 30 degree's is odd even in Malta at this time of year?
arabella Ella: perfect weather for me ... but very unusual yes
Eos Amaterasu: Here there's a lot of H20, so the cold feels especially biting
Mickorod Renard: must be the end of the world,,this year
    --BELL--
    Mickorod Renard: he he
    Mickorod Renard: desert just arrived
    Eos Amaterasu: dessert?
Eos Amaterasu: dry sense of humor :-)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
    Liza Deischer: :-)
Mickorod Renard: sorry , yes dessert,,apple and blackcurrant crumble with ice cream
Mickorod Renard: I promise to savour each mouthfull
Liza Deischer: can we skip the desert here, Im getting hungry :-)
    Mickorod Renard: he he
    Eos Amaterasu feels mouth watering
Mickorod Renard: but wouldnt life be great if each experience could be enjoyed like a nice dessert?
Liza Deischer: eehhh...Im not sure it works like that
Liza Deischer: pain is pain and grief is grief
Mickorod Renard: thats true,,and I think that is why its not always possible to stay in a positive frame of mind all the time
Liza Deischer: I think it is about wareness
    Liza Deischer: awareness
Eos Amaterasu: both pleasure and pain can be appreciated, without denigrating or exaggerating either one
Liza Deischer: to appreciating has another meaning then enyoing
arabella Ella: would we still experience pleasure the way we do if we did not have any experience of pain i wonder?
Zon Quar: u must first eat the main course, then the dessert
Mickorod Renard: yes, and sometimes may have to eat something that is not liked
Liza Deischer: yes, but still being aware of it
    Mickorod Renard: yes
Zon Quar: enjoyment and pain r 2 sides of teh same coin
Liza Deischer: yes, its a bit what ara said
Mickorod Renard: Hi widget,,happy new year
Liza Deischer: hi Widget, Best Wishes
    arabella Ella: Hiya Widget
    arabella Ella: Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Widget Whiteberry: thank you, my apologies for entering late
arabella Ella: we are beyond time here :)
    arabella Ella: timeless
    Widget Whiteberry: ☆smiles☆
Liza Deischer: but if you come after 14.00, Im not sure anybody will be here anymore :-)
Mickorod Renard: I always go on about balance,,but is it not so bad to have an inbalance,,in favour of enjoyment rather than pain?
Zon Quar: yes but u will pay for it..lol
    Mickorod Renard: ahhh..maybe
Liza Deischer: it depens howmuch pain and unjoyment you get
    Liza Deischer: it depens on
    Liza Deischer: depends
    Mickorod Renard: Hi Eliza
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Widge, Eliza
    Liza Deischer: whatever....
    Widget Whiteberry: greetings, Eliza
    Liza Deischer: hi Eliza
arabella Ella: Hiya Eliza Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!1
    Eos Amaterasu: unjoyment :-)
    Mickorod Renard: happy new year
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Everyone :) Happy New Year!
    Liza Deischer: ehhhh.....enjoyment
    arabella Ella: :)
Liza Deischer: its my keyborad, not me :-)
    Liza Deischer: keyboard
Eliza Madrigal: Oh Widget, you look stunning in red!
Eos Amaterasu: your keyboard is you ally, madly punning
Widget Whiteberry: My first dress in months ...
    Widget Whiteberry: thank you
Eliza Madrigal: Hermitage ended for now? Or just adapted?
    Eos Amaterasu: Very elegant
Widget Whiteberry: I'm finding SL encourages creativity on many levels
arabella Ella: yes it is lovely
Liza Deischer: ill make my apologies to my keyboard :-)
Widget Whiteberry: Hermitage is a staple ... I'll be back to it soon
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Widget Whiteberry: it's all an expression of our creativity
Widget Whiteberry: for a year here, I wore jeans... then something inside me bloomed
    Liza Deischer: and ourselves
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Liza Deischer: which makes it more interesting
    --BELL--
arabella Ella: did any of you experience the partial moon eclipse last night?
    arabella Ella: it was awesome
    arabella Ella: so mystical
    Liza Deischer: no, Im sorry
Eos Amaterasu: it happened before I looked up :-(
    Mickorod Renard: I didnt,,:(
Eliza Madrigal: Here in the US it wasn't an option was it... only in Europe and Asia?
Mickorod Renard: but i had lots of moonlight through my window and curtains
arabella Ella: it was a huge clear full moon, second time in one month, and during the partial eclipse it had a dark shadow on the bottom part
Eos Amaterasu: 6 pm EST in North Amer
Eliza Madrigal: The blue moon was gorgeous, I will say
arabella Ella: here CET it was around 9pm
    arabella Ella: yes
Eos Amaterasu: yes, moon visible thru cloud here
Eliza Madrigal: Ah! Eos that hadnt been my understanding so I missed it
    arabella Ella: owwwww
arabella Ella: and apparently it was an exception to have the full moon twice in one month too
arabella Ella: start and end of december
Eos Amaterasu: happens only once every few years
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: 2028 next one I think... but then I'm reading the wrong sites obviously ;-)
    arabella Ella: :)
Mickorod Renard: I am enjoying the nights better now I havnt all them mosquitos to worry about
Mickorod Renard: I may even get a new telescope this year
Eliza Madrigal: Seems a nice resolution
Mickorod Renard: trouble is,,you can access fantastic stuff on the net now,,direct from huge telescopes
Eliza Madrigal: yes, online life can be compelling :)
Liza Deischer: and nice telescopes seem to be less nice
Widget Whiteberry: Mick, why is that trouble?
Eliza Madrigal: in RL one can't wear their ballgown to the beach, or their bikini in the snow...
    Zon Quar: gtg, bye all
Mickorod Renard: well, for me it makes me think its pointless having my own telescope
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Zon :)
    Mickorod Renard: bye Zon
    Liza Deischer: bye Zon
Widget Whiteberry: perhaps it is; perhaps that is one less thing you need
Mickorod Renard: yet, at the same time, there is something nice about using ones own eyes
Eos Amaterasu: I've found the few times I've looked through a telescope "live" that the quality of light is intense, like diamonds, -- can't get that from a screen
Eliza Madrigal: but maybe it is like looking at pictures of lovely dinners, too
Widget Whiteberry: but perhaps you want to be looking directly at the sky
    Eliza Madrigal nods to Eos
Liza Deischer: yes, but I can imagine it can have its fun too in a different way
Mickorod Renard: well,,this is the arguement that passes through my mind,,is it totally frivilous to spend out
Eliza Madrigal: yes, sometimes there are groups which meet... in parks (at least here there used to be) and you can visit without purchasing your own
Liza Deischer: and you make contact with people with the same interest
Eliza Madrigal: so there may be other options if you're not sure you'd use it a lot?
Liza Deischer: maybe it makes you think twice, but thats not so bad
arabella Ella: yes i have joined some of those groups on occasion and they tend to have huge telescopes and to explain everything so clearly
Mickorod Renard: but i have lots of hobbies and toys,,so maybe |I will give it a miss
Widget Whiteberry: I feel similarly about having my own dog ... I like dogs but I can enjoy dogs that do not live with me
Widget Whiteberry: on the other hand, I need my own computer
    Liza Deischer: :-)
    Eos Amaterasu: laptop, lap dog....
arabella Ella: i understand that perfectly Widget ... and dogs need so much time too :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes! I like the idea of having a dog, too
    Widget Whiteberry grins at Eos
Eliza Madrigal: but the idea is enough for now :)
Mickorod Renard: a loan dog sounds good
Widget Whiteberry: all I need do is walk 10 minutes and there are friendly dogs available for interaction
Liza Deischer: or from a shelter
Mickorod Renard: I have one and he's great,,but a big pain at times
    --BELL--
Widget Whiteberry: but someone else feeds and shelters
    Mickorod Renard: works with horses
Liza Deischer: yes but in shelters they lack human contact
Widget Whiteberry: For me, it's part of being in a community - I needn't personally own or maintain everthing I enjoy
Widget Whiteberry: I do need to know where to find things
Widget Whiteberry: working with horses sounds like a great thing
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, well put Widget, nodding
Eliza Madrigal: there are days when my cat seems very high-maintenance so I'm not ready for a dog... maybe an herb garden... or virtual tomatoes...hehe
    Widget Whiteberry: ☆smiles☆
Mickorod Renard: time share,,thats an option
arabella Ella: virtual kitties are great too
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eos Amaterasu: especially for a horse, sharing makes sense
    Liza Deischer: Im going
Liza Deischer: see you all next time
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Liza :)
    Eos Amaterasu: Bye Liza
    arabella Ella: nite Liza
    Mickorod Renard: bye Liza
    Eos Amaterasu: enjoy the year
Widget Whiteberry: yes, good bye and HNY
    Liza Deischer: cant get away
Eos Amaterasu thinks a pigmy elephant would be an ideal pet /companion
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, even prettier dress standing, Widget
Eliza Madrigal: hehe.. you're stuck with us Liza :)
Widget Whiteberry: me too, for the moment
Liza Deischer: it seems that way :-)
    Widget Whiteberry: and thank you
Liza Deischer: cant get home :(
    Eliza Madrigal: click heels?
    Liza Deischer: :-D
    Eos Amaterasu: ?
Mickorod Renard: are u goin too widget?
Eliza Madrigal: "there's no place like home" Eos :)
    arabella Ella: whooooosh
    Eos Amaterasu: poof
    Eliza Madrigal: and they're off
Eos Amaterasu is waiting for a delayed flight, in RL airport lounge
Eliza Madrigal: Oh Where are you headed Eos?
arabella Ella: owwww .... hate delays
Eos Amaterasu: heading to Ottawa to see my mom
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah, nice :)
    arabella Ella: how lovely
Eliza Madrigal: I need to go already, nice to pop in for a bit. Happy New Year :) Safe travels Eos
    arabella Ella: bye Eliza HNY
Eos Amaterasu: thnx, gave a great 2010!
    Eos Amaterasu: *have
    Mickorod Renard: missed eliza now
Mickorod Renard: I am too slow
Mickorod Renard: so, have we a final number for Malta now?
Eos Amaterasu: Think it might be 9....
Eos Amaterasu: Yakuzza, you are coming, right?
Mickorod Renard: I am looking forward to it,,but have to admit that i do get a lil stressed out goin on my own
arabella Ella: I think Yaku may be afk
Eos Amaterasu: You mean travelling alone?
    Mickorod Renard: me? yes
Mickorod Renard: I am used to having someone look after me
arabella Ella: i generally prefer travelling alone
Mickorod Renard: I think I may get used to it
    Eos Amaterasu: Jeeves, Mick? :-)
Mickorod Renard: well,,anyone that will point me in direections and tell me what times things are
arabella Ella: is that british humour Mick?
    arabella Ella: irony?
    arabella Ella: he he
Mickorod Renard: I am just complacent
Eos Amaterasu: I think Ara can press the up/down/sideways arrows for you in Malta :_0
    arabella Ella: :)
Mickorod Renard: yes,,grin,,well i hope so
Mickorod Renard: otherwise I will end up staying there
    --BELL--
arabella Ella: i'm afraid i must leave now
